help i just realized that allison from tua and inumaki from jjk have very similar powers 😭 like they both involve making something happen by speaking 😭
Okay real talk. Rumor was one of the most unique and interesting powers saying the phrase “I heard a rumor” and then being able to warp reality was cool as fuck and now they turned her into dollar store Jean Grey. And it’s just like why? What were we cooking?
It’s just sad that she’s spends so much of the series refusing to use her powers and then suddenly she gets these new ones and look at that she doesnt give a fuck anymore.
The rewriting of the entire series that was witnessed in season 4 is really astounding to me. Cause why are they trying to gaslight us into believeubv that Allison and Klaus have always had a parasitic codependent relationship. Like please correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t even think they had that much screen time together before season 4. There were those moments in season 2 when they found each other but even then nothing to imply they had a codependant relationship where Allison was constantly dragging Klaus out of his messes. Hell if anyone did that it was ghost Ben. This is ghost Ben erasure. They where the ones with the parasitic codependency. Ben couldn’t be seen by anyone else so he needed Klaus and Klaus needed Ben not to completely go of the deep.
Ben is the one that’s there when Klaus is forced into sobriety and later when he is mourning Dave. Like a whole plot point in season 1 is how Klaus was kidnapped for like a day and nobody noticed. Another thing brought in season 1 is that as a child Allison was generally self centered and was really wrapped in her and Luther’s relationship. Why are they trying to gaslight us that she’s been taking care of him since childhood like those weren’t plot points the show itself set up.
I really liked their dynamic at the beginning of season 4 I thought it was a nice return to the real top shop they had in season 2 but like to try and force drama with their fight like it was a long time coming like it wouldn’t matter if this was just a new aspect of their relationship for both of them just really frustrated me. Especially for an arc that has no real pay off and really just works to show that Allison was right Klaus can’t be sober with out her. Which what?
What was the reasoning Steve?
Five: Looks at you across the room in disappointment
go follow this idiot boy
The whole family teamed up to get me a phone. I’m still trying to figure out how to use this thing, so send me questions I guess.
((ask box open! we like to have fun here))
don’t touch me i sad
I’ve missed you all... so much
So I started The Umbrella Academy (I'm at s1 ep6) and here my observations:
-I absolutely hate this incestuous romance between Allison and Luther. I think it's weird and gross and I feel very uncomfortable every time I see their romantic scenes.
-I had a bad feeling for Leonard since his first apparence and I hate being right like this.
-Five is a broken homicidal little bitch and I love him.
-Klaus my beloved junkie.
-Vanya has the charisma of a stick bug and I will protect her with my life.
-They're all fucked but I love them so much.
-Grace freaking me out but I don't think she is bad.
-If the old man wasn't already dead I would kill him myself and with a marvelous joy.
-Please give me more Ben's screen time 😭 and also how the fuck did he dies? I want to know!
-Luther's obsession with being N°1 is not healthy ~
-POGO WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HIDE???
-I would love to see more flashback of their childhood.
-Hazel and Cha-Cha relationship OMG my heart!
-I think Ben have a very strong presence as a ghost because he is often around Klaus even when he is not so sober, and being high is supposed to keep the ghost away.
So I just finished the first season of The Umbrella Academy, here my thoughts :) :
-Five x Dolores and Hazel x Agnès are the best relationships of this show and I take no criticisms.
-Still hating Luther x Allison, I was happy the last episodes didn't have the time to focus on their "romance" because of the apocalypse, the apocalypse is much more enjoyable to watch :)
-The lack of respect and recognition Vanya and Klaus get physically hurt me. At least Vanya gets to explore a little bit her relationship with Allison but Klaus is been constantly step on and ignored, it really hurt me :( especially when he is doing so much efforts for fight against his addiction and the other still considering he is just high and with nothing important to say.
-Vanya becomes emo and my brain goes brrrrrrr.
-I wasn't a fan of Luther character since the beginning but I was doing efforts because he is fucked up like the other. But I seriously hate is attitude, he always tries to control everything, makes bad decisions and, in particular the thing I hate the most, he always uses his superior force to get and do what he wants. It's awful. Even if he thinks he does the best for his family I think he is just kind of abusive. He doesn't take criticisms or let them choices and physically holds them back to go against his own will. The worst exemple is when he locks up Vanya in the cell and let her imprisoned even when the majority (Diego, Allison and Klaus) isn't OK with that and stopped them to free her multiple times until they have to give up. I truly hope his behavior will change in season 2 because for now I seriously consider he is one of the most important cause of Vanya's snap.
-I wasn't sad when Pogo die, sorry not sorry :)
-Is this motherfucker of Reggie is an alien?? I didn't understand his flashbacks.
-Ben's screen time YEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH. I love Ben. When I first saw him I though he will be a kind of Jiminy Cricket for Klaus, and sometimes he is, but most of the time he just has the same chaotic energy 😂😂😂. The scene when Klaus thrown a bowling ball at him and he didn't catch it I swear his Pikachu chocked face was so funny. Now that the other FINALLY believe Klaus I hope to see him even more in season 2.
-Personal preference but I miss the old "faint of exhaustion" trope in this series. It's just on of my favorite and it usually work well with superpowers intrigues. It's maybe kinda bullshit to see Vanya, Klaus or Five doing insane things they never do before and just be like "I'm fine, what a piece of cake :)".
-I liked Patch, sad that she died.
-I hope more parallelisms between Five and the Comission's bitch, I think they can be a good illustration of "same beginning but different paths" .
-Good to see you dead Leonard/Harold, I will not miss you :)
-I still don't know how Ben died and I want answers!
Where is my TUA's fic where Jesus "if you're offended by how she dresses well look away" is the nice but sassy big brother of the Marigold's children and tries to put some sense in them or simply being an healthy support ?
Like manifesting in Five and Luther's dreams when they were alone in the Apocalypse/on the Moon for chatting with them so they don't feel abandoned.
Being the literal guardian angel of Claire so Allison can get a break with peace in her mind.
Secretly multiplying food in Diego's cupboard when he forgot to go shopping after a rough week of vigilant activities.
Blessing every water Ben touchs when he was alive because it will calm down The Horror and he want to help his little brother feel better.
Manifesting to Klaus like a ghost for big brothered him with Ben. "You need to eat Klaus.
-I ate two hours ago!
-You need VEGETABLES not smarties!" And also scaring the bad souls so they let him alone.
And convincing the souls of dead famous violinists to manifest in Viktor's dreams for helping him with the new piece he's working on.
WHERE IS IT DUH?
Parenthesis
My theory for the TUA's canon is that Reggie created the Marigold's children
BUT
As a headcanon I like the idea of God created them when she was in a nostalgic mood (because Jesus was so good how it can possibly go wrong?), I made some incorrect quotes for that. Tired Parent God and Big Brother Jesus is my confort au ok ?
WARNING: Major spoilers for The Umbrella Academy season 3
_____
"How the fuck Five became the creator of the Comission" a theory by me
For the ones who ignored the spoilers warning, it's your life mate.
So in the season 3 we learned that Five created the Comission despite visibly hating everything about them for the 30h of screen time we have.
Here is my handmade theory of wtf happened. I will use the concept of different time-line we're introduced in season 3.
.
It's begin with the first Timeline, the original, the time-line 0.
In this time-line when the Hargreeves were 13, Five timetravels in the future despite their father interdiction. Expect he did not arrive in 2019, no he timetravels in a more far away future, at least in the 2100. And what did he found there?
Everything he've always looked for.
A bright future where there had no apocalypse in 2019, with a more advanced technology, maybe more people with powers, and the more important where their father is dead and cold for a long time. It's exactly what he always hoped, a safe place where him and his siblings can run away from their father.
The only problem is that he is blocked here, even if he tries and tries he doesn't manage to go back in the time to his family. So he worked hard, studied even harder to find a way, to have a better control of his power and with the help of the most advanced sciences and technology of this period it doesn't take him 45 years.
Finally he timetravels back to his time (before Ben's death) and kidnapped his family away from Reggie, leading them to this future of their dreams.
In this future where the Hargreeves finally have the freedom and the life they wanted, Five had an idea. As a timetraveler he knows how the time is fickle and pliable, but he wanted to protect this time-line, this time where he and his siblings finally had a good life and where they're safe. With the technology of this period he created the first time machine and founded the Comission, an organization out of the time here to protect the time-line.
I read somewhere a theory (sorry I didn't found the post for put the url :/) bout how the Hargreeves seem to have better healing ability than the common. At a following of this idea I imagine they can also live longer.
So Five was the president of the Comission for years, preserving the time-line. During this time he learned more about Reginald and the Oblivion, knowing very well that this possibility of rebooting the universe was dangerous he tattooed clues of the project on himself in case (he always been so damn paranoid). He invented the Bunker of the Comission, a place where time and paradox don't exist. As he became older he founded the Administration Committee for managed the Comission and locked himself in the Bunker where he won't age anymore and so escape death until the right time.
.
Except for an unknown reason the Committee decided one day of the Apocalypse project. I can't really imagine why but for me it's clear that was something Five wouldn't have approved so he had to be out of the picture.
I first suspected that the Apocalypse was the Handler's project but it didn't make sense. Yes she manages the team and she is in charge but we saw in season two that the Handler want the power and the control. She doesn't particularly desire the apocalypse she just uses it for manipulating Five, she doesn't have a problem to seal it away in exchange of the death of the Committee. So clearly the Apocalypse wasn't her idea.
.
Time-line 1
This time-line is the one before the canon. The Comission works for the realization of the Apocalypse in 2019 and when Five timetravels he arrives in this desolate place. His siblings are dead and he stays alone (with Dolores) in this time-line for 40 years before joining the Comission.
.
Time-line 2
This one is the first season. Five reappears a week before the Apocalypse and with his siblings he tried to stop it. Also in this time-line Klaus timetravels to 1967-1968 in Vietnam and meets Dave. Viktor causes the Apocalypse and the Hargreeves timetravel together.
.
Time-line 3
The beginning of the season 2. The Hargreeves minus Five timetravel in the 1960s and cause the Apocalypse that Five can witness before timetraveling again.
.
Time-line 4
This is basically season 2 and 3. Five appears a week before the Apocalypse he saw (again). While trying to stop it the Hargreeves meet Reginald and manage to be so chaotic that he unadoptes them. Viktor accidentally gives Harlan powers, Lila has an existential crisis and the Handler dies. They stop the Apocalypse and timetravel in the 2019 of this chronology where they meet the Sparrow Academy. Sadly their presence cause a paradox and an Apocalypse (AGAIN). Five meets himself from the original time-line who indirectly warned him about Oblivion before dying, Allison loses her marbles, kills Harlan and Reggie convinces her to help him for the project Oblivion. The entire universe is destroyed and the Umbrella Hargreeves minus Luther (technically also Klaus but he resurrects after) and plus Sparrow Ben, Reggie, Lila and Sloane escape in the pocket dimension of Oblivion. Allison and Reggie reboot the universe.
.
Time-line ???
The universe has been reboot. Reggie seems to be be the lord of at least the city and has his wife (I suppose) back. Allison is reunited with her daughter Claire and her 1960s husband Ray. Luther (resurrected), Diego, Klaus, Five, Sparrow Ben, Viktor and Lila emerges from the hotel, their powers are gone and Sloane is nowhere to be found. In a last scene we see a subway in Korea where (I suppose again) a resurrected Umbrella Ben is reading.
___
There are only suppositions of the birth of the Comission and who many time-line Five created in his life. Time-line 0 is my personal explication of why Five created the Comission because we see he will do whatever it takes to get his family safe (sad it didn't work at the end). I hope we will have answers in the season 4 (I can't believe it will be the last 😭😭😭 I dreamed seven seasons at least for this series come on).
my headcanons for the hargreeves siblings:
luther- straight, also never bothered trying anything else bc thE MOON
diego- bi boi, he just likes b a d a s s e s
allison- straight but girls are super pretty and she’d try it out if the right one showed up
klaus- ultimate pan, also open to a poly relationship bc he rlly likes comfort cuddles
five- he’s ace, bc after all those years alone he just can’t deal with people and hasn’t ever been interested
ben- gay but he died too early to ever have fun
vanya- biromanic but in all honesty, pretty people scare her and she’d rather not
Question!
So I don’t know if any of the Hargreeves siblings ever changed their legal names from “Number ______” to their more “normal” names. Like I’m pretty sure that Allison, Vanya and Diego would definitely have changed theirs, Allison because she is an Actress, Vanya because she seems like the responsible one, and Diego because he wanted to be a police at one point so it kind of makes sense, right? Five and Ben were long gone by the time they would have been able to change their names, Klaus would be too high to care and Luther never left the Academy and when he did, he was on the moon.
Though my question is not about that. I was thinking about Five and how he never really wanted a “normal” name. So legally, the seven children were all “Number ______” when they were adopted, so that means that Five is legally “Number Five Hargreeves” does that mean that “Number” is his first name and “Five” his middle name?
It just makes me think (and laugh) that for 17/18 years, there was a huge house with: one chimpanzee, one robot, one alien and seven children named “Number”.
It wasn't on my bingo card to hear two different MCR songs in two Netflix show trailers this year but I'm living it
My Chemical Romance is really having a year this 2024. Dead Boy Detectives and then Umbrella Academy? Life has never been better
Umbrella Academy season 4 was batshit crazy and no one can change my mind
Questions I had left after the end of Umbrella Academy season 4:
What happened to Sloane?
Why did Five suddenly stop caring about the family? When he and Lila are stuck on the subway, why did he not try harder to get back?
Why did Ray walk away from Allison?
What are Hargeeves and Abigail? What happened to their kind?
Why did Abigail create marigold to begin with?
If Hargeeves' kind fled from their planet, where did they end up?
How did Five create the time commission?
Why is there a subway?
If 43 babies were born because of marigold, what happened to the ones who lived?
The reason why Lila had to go back and stay with the family was because Ben/Jennifer had to absorb all of the marigold. So then what happened to the other superpowered people around the world?
Why does the apocalypse have to happen? If Hargeeves kills Jennifer, is the apocalypse the universe's way of correcting the wrong?
If there is an Umbrella Academy, a Sparrow Academy and a Phoenix Academy, what other academies are there?
How did Five manage to secure a job with the CIA while still looking relatively young?
How did Lila find her family? How does she know they are her family?
Did they land in this timeline as consciousness inside bodies with established lives or did they have to create their own lives?
How did Jennifer even get into the giant squid?
How does a commission worker, become a commission worker? Are they snatched from a random timeline? Is it like with Loki, where all the TVA workers are variants of people in the timeline?
If Grace was a real person in the 60s how did Hargeeves make the robot that would become the kids caretaker? Did he keep her corpse or did he just make a robot?
Was the 1960s Grace the Abigail of that Hargeeves?
Why did Hargeeves only try to get seven children? In the first timeline he managed to get seven babies and in the second timeline he manages to get another six babies, so why didn't he try to get all of them? (at least the ones that would be alive)
Why was there a Ben riding in the subway in the end of season 3?
What the fuck is Christopher?
That's all I could come up with for now, but I will probably add to the list if something else comes up
AU, Diego, Klaus, Five, and Allison live together in the same apartment:
Five: where's my yogurt?
Klaus: Was it yours? I thought Diego was...
Five: WHERE'S MY YOGURT?
Allison: so, calmly, what to buy
Diego: I'll give you a ride to the store
Klaus: Diego, how could you?
Five: I didn't finish!-
Luther: I drink sedatives because I can't get over my father's death
Diego: I drink sedatives because I lost my ex-girlfriend and the other one turned out to be a spy :(
Allison: I drink sedatives because I don't sleep well because I'm worried about my daughter.
Klaus: I drink sedatives so I don't have to see THAT DAMN BEN WHO'S ALREADY GOT ME-
Ben: I don't drink sedatives because I'm a ghost :D
Vanya: I drink sedatives because my father told me to....and I still don't know why I drink them...
Five, with a bottle of wine in his hand: I drink.
Sleeper Five:
Allison, quiet: why did he fall asleep with an axe in his arms?
Diego, also quiet: I think he saw a spider before going to bed. It's safer for him that way
So, there’s a lot of back and forth on Allison for this season, and I’ve seen a lot of reasons for how people feel about her. So I’m just gonna right things out, because I’m bored.
Defences:
*She lost custody of her daughter
*Her brother turned against her family and in trying to stop him she got her throat slit
*She was sent back in time with no voice, as a black woman in a cruel past
*She worked in the new time to help herself and other people of color to get the rights they should’ve always had.
*She lost her husband who she really loved going back to her own time to get to Claire, who ended up being removed from existence.
*Her brother kept secrets from her and helped the man who (although accidentally) killed her mother causing her daughter not to exist.
*She was amazing to Victor during his coming out and tried to help him even when things were hard.
Offences:
*She used her (pretty manipulative) powers to get where she was in the world, her fame, her career, her ex husband and daughter.
*She used her power to manipulate her child to do what she wanted
*She used Luther and offered nothing in return the second she got back.
*She SA’ed Luther and kept trying to use him.
*She lied to the Sparrows, causing a major problem between the two groups.
*She killed Harlan. Yes, he did kill the Umbrella’s mothers. But he had no idea what he was doing, he was torn apart, reaching out, looking for someone to help him, for Victor. He had no idea that what he was doing could kill someone, he was so upset and he already doesn’t have a great grasp on his emotions, or the powers he never learned how to properly use. It wasn’t anyones fault what happened to him, especially not his own.
Honestly, me I’m not completely sure where I fall on the scale. No matter what she went through, that didn’t give her the right to SA someone. To make someone else feel so used and powerless. Or to use the power trip on Victor either, nearly making him choke from lack of air. That punch was even I’d say, though. But what she did to Luther isn’t forgivable.
I recognise that she went through a lot back in the past. And that is something no one should have to go through. How people treated her and people like her was disgusting and horrid. I will never understand what that is like. So I don’t think I’d be a proper judge of her character after the experiences she’s undergone. Just my thoughts/opinions, feel free to express yours lol.
All this being said, I was all for the villain era (aside from the Luther thing), her being angry at the world and wanting it to burn.
