Bisexual women are amazing and wonderful. Whether you’re tall, short, chubby, skinny, strong, frail, big, petite, nonbinary, trans, ace, aro, or neither. You are lovely. You are welcome here.
Y’know, the double standard whereby bisexual men are presumed to be self-hating gay dudes and bisexual women are presumed to be straight trendsters totally makes sense if you’re starting with the premise that the most important thing about a person is whether they’re attracted to men.
i really do think that bi women need to stop trying to explain themselves to biphobic misogynists, they're going to find a problem with you no matter what you do. girls, you don't owe them shit
you don't owe them an explanation for why you're attracted to multiple genders. you don't owe them an explanation for why you're dating anyone of any gender. you don't owe them an explanation for why you rejected someone of a gender you experience attraction to. you don't owe them an explanation for why you've never actually dated anyone of a gender you experience attraction to. you don't owe them an explanation for why you might call yourself a butch or femme. you don't have to wish you weren't attracted to [insert gender] just to please biphobes. you don't have to "pick a side" just to please biphobes.
and most importantly, you are allowed to tell biphobic misogynists to fuck off. you are allowed to be mean to them. you are allowed to say that you won't change for them.
Well, we do have the words "Salietian" for bi women and "Rochillic" for bi men, but they're not as well known.. but we could start using them and helping them gain popularity! There are multiple flags for them, but these are my favorites
The first one is the Salietian flag, the second is the Rochillic flag
“It would be nice if we had another word, the way gays and lesbians can call themselves, well, gays and lesbians, instead of homosexuals.”

L + Ratio + I’m a bi sapphic 🎀
bisexual girls are great pass it on
“oughh i hate it when bi women relate to lesbian characters and lesbian songs” wait until you find out that bi women can (and should) connect with whatever we please. Chappell Roan. Hannah Montana. Batman. Connecting to a character transcends beyond gender and sexuality. Bisexual women can relate to whatever. That duck sticking her whole head underwater and flapping her wings, very cute, so me. That cool rock you see over there. I see myself in it. This turkey sandwich. It is delightful and yummy, just like me.
I do not understand how you can be a feminist and simultaneously reduce bisexual women to their relationships with men.
Can we start, when teenage girls come out as bisexual, saying congratulations and then offering support and information instead of questioning them, laughing at them and saying they’re lying?
fucking destroy the idea that teenage girls fake their sexualities and are only queer for attention
i’m so sick of lesbians appropriating bisexual history and culture, like calling themselves sapphic when sappho was clearly attracted to multiple genders. it’s not cool.
From the Spring 1997 issue of bisexual magazine "Anything That Moves" (plain text under the cut)
Not A Traitor, Not Weird, Just Happy
Greetings! Just when I was afraid that there was no intelligent life out there, I find Anything That Moves. What luck!
I adored "Bi Femme" by Leah Lilith Albrecht-Samarasinha; I think she and I are sisters under the skin! I am currently embroiled in a passionate relationship with a glorious drag queen, and I was really starting to feel as if I were the only bi-babe who got all sweaty over a guy in a frock.
I, too, have been called a traitor by my gay friends, and just plain weird by my straight friends, but how can you label "happy"? I steal his clothes, he steals mine... and we wear the same size skirt. What more is there?
Thanks again. I shall return regularly.

Bi women, you should never feel ashamed. Never.
Of being bisexual. You are not greedy, you are not looking for attention, you are not actually just gay/lesbian or straight, you are you, and that is beautiful.
Of liking women. You are not a sinner, you are not impure, you are not being sexy or fetishized for men, you are not following a “trend”. You are not broken, you are you and that is beautiful.
Of liking men. You are not faker, you are not a traitor to the queer community, you are not putting on an act or lying for attention, you are you and that is beautiful.
Of liking nonbinary folks. You are not secretly pansexual. You are not “defying the definition of bisexual” (the definition of bisexuality has attraction to nonbinary folks anyways) you are you and that is beautiful.
Of being a woman. You are not made to just take care of the house and kids (but if you want to that’s okay!) you are not a sex object, you are not weaker than men, you are you and that is beautiful.
Of being a feminist. You are not too loud or angry or dramatic, you are not hateful, you are not “unnecessarily political”, you are not shrill or annoying, you are you and that is beautiful.
Please never feel ashamed. Please treat yourself kindly. Stay hydrated, give yourself a hug, remember that you are awesome. Please love yourself. If you are having difficulties doing so, be patient with yourself, and just try to love yourself. Do it for me. Because I have felt shame for all of these reasons and I’m finally happy with myself exactly as I am. If I could do it, so can you
