The evening sun cast a warm glow onto the floor of the living room as the both of you sat across each other on the ends of the sofa. Lost in the comfortable silence, the both of you had retreated to your quiet spots, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The only sounds that fill the room are the soft rustling of pages and the occasional clinking of cups.
Namjoon’s presence alone is enough to fill the place with security and peace, giving out an air of wisdom and endless knowledge. You stole glances at him, unable to help the way you realise every tiny detail of this man. The way his brows furrowed, trying to understand the deeper meaning of the words sitting on the pages - the residing hunger and curiosity, making to understand what the world has to offer.
You find yourself captivated by the look on his face - how it scrunches when he tries to dissect the words on the pages, allowing them to shape his thoughts and be a part of him. In his presence, you felt a sense of comfort and understanding beyond words and actions. You felt a harsh desire to delve into deeper conversations and thoughts - to explore the universe together.
While you were lost in your own world, you hadn’t realised that Namjoon had been, too, stealing glances at you. Here, his eyes held genuine care and gentleness, a longing to understand the depths of your soul. As if he saw things in you that he could never fully put into words.
With a soft smile gracing his lips, Namjoon closed his book and set it aside. He fully turned to face you, eyes holding a silent invitation to pour in your thoughts and emotions. At that exact moment, you knew - you just knew - that there is no need for words to communicate the complex emotions that were overflowing within you.
You mirrored his actions, placing your book on the coffee table and turning to face him. Your eyes met, and a serene understanding passed through the both of you. It was as if the world had faded, leaving only the both of you, exploring watch other together - the threads of the tapestry, looping itself over and over, weaving through your hands and hearts.
In the shared silence, you begin to speak a language that transcends the limits of time and words. Your eyes, the windows to the deepest parts of your soul, convey your pain, hopes, dreams, and fear - laying them bare before the one who holds your red string in his palm.
Namjoon listened attentively, gaze unwavering, absorbing every unspoken word in your eyes. He nodded, understanding your emotions without the need for any explanations. A profound connection between the both of you - a bond that cannot be served by the limitations of language.
Without a word, Namjoon took your hands in his and closed around them. His warmth enveloped you as he brought your hands to his lips, and grounded you in the present moment. It was a silent reassurance that you were not alone, that your feelings mattered and were portrayed, and that he will always be there to support you and what you aim for.
In that shared world of vulnerability and understanding, a blanket of comfort and peace settled within you. The unspoken words slowly diminished into the thread itself, letting it glow brighter with each passing moment. It weaved into the tapestry of emotions - love, trust, and a deep sense of belonging. An unbreakable bond and a language only the both of you speak, the language of your heart in your worlds.
As the evening slowly turned to night, you remained locked in the unspoken embrace. The world continued to spin and move forward, but within the walls of that room, time seems to slow down - as if almost at a standstill. In the presence of Namjoon, you found solace and love and connection - a sanctuary where words were unnecessary and where the depths of your souls basked in the everlasting moonlight.
And as the lights of the city started to dim, leaving the world encased in darkness, yours shine brighter than ever. You realised that some bonds are so profound that can only be expressed in the language of the heart.
Because girls who read:
Insist that their narratives are rich, their supporting cast colorful, and their typeface bold. Make you want to be everything that you are not. Accept nothing less than passion, and perfection, and a life worthy of being storied. After checking out the link, read this too: A Girl You Should Date. Too many times, I've been told that guys are intimidated by the fact that I actually think and display intelligence and am passionate about books and movies and music the way most girls are passionate about shoes and shopping and make-up. But it's okay, boys ... I'm waiting for the man who won't settle for the mediocre. ;)

You know you’re a real book nerd when you’re moving out and your friend asks you what all you have in order to decide what size U-Haul you’ll need, and the first thing out of your mouth is books… 🤦🏻♀️😂
My first poetry book! ❤
Launching soon...
"May the heart, in its exhaustion, remember to rest and indulge into the sweet memories of love songs resounding from its yesteryears.
These are the soft rambles that filled your mind as you lay awake in bed at the early hours of dawn. Those austere longings that snared your heart, relentless as the wind blowing on the trees, swift as the waves kissing the sand, tenacious as the rain chiming in with the beat of the music coming from your stereo, they are here—neatly scribbled and compiled into an anthology. These are your stories. The love notes you hastily jotted down at the last page of your high school textbook, the poems you composed during your weekend getaways, the letters you struggled to ink on stationeries while ardently wishing that one day, the love of your life will find and read them.
They are finally here. The long walks on the beach. The late-night conversations. The sultry kisses at the back seat of your car. The lingering glances. The love songs. The promises. The sweet nothings! They are all here, captured in prose and poetry. So, dear reader, bury your nose on the pages with utmost gusto. Whether you are a sojourner, a bold and willing settler, or a classic runaway in love, you’ve had your own share of sweet nothings, I am sure. Allow yourself to remember. Allow yourself to rediscover your youth, relive the love stories that ended, make peace with the pains they caused. Above all, allow yourself to breathe and celebrate the love stories that won over the years and stayed."

how seventeen act with their bookworm s/o
requested by my dearest 🍒 anon!
masterlist
seungcheol
just. buys you everything you want. bookmarks, books, book signing tickets, bookshelves, hell he'll even build you your own library to house your books if that's what you want. he'd buy u anything you want anyway tbh, but he knows how much you love reading so his gift-giving tendencies have shifted towards the side of fully letting you indulge in your hobbies. what can he say? he likes seeing you happy.
jeonghan
sometimes he'll just sit there and watch you read bc he thinks that you're just really cute. likes to watch all the different facial expressions you make whilst you're reading through different passages, and laughs when you give horrified gasps whenever the characters make terrible choices. gets bored whilst listening to you explain the plot, but Loves when you explain the drama to him like you're teenage girls gossiping over the latest drama
joshua
doesn't know how you have the time or patience to just sit there reading words for hours, but he supports your hobby for sure. sometimes when you're feeling down, he'll take you to the nearest bookstore and buys every single book you so much as hint at having an interest in. buys you handbags that are big enough for books to fit inside so when you two go out with others, you can bring ur emotional support book for when things get too boring 🫡
junhui
goes “ooh what are u reading???” when he catches you holding a new book. you tell him the title and the genre, but as soon as you begin explaining the plot, his eyes are glazing over and he's already clocked out of the conversation. he tries his best to listen, he really does!!! but he supposes it just isn't for him :(( watches the movie adaptations w you if there is one tho and let's you rant about the deviations the directors made from the novel
hoshi
gets insanelyyyy jealous when you find a new fictional character to fixate and fawn over bc like, hello???? your boyfriend is literally right here????? why are you crying over some character that doesn't exist????? but then you argue that you put up with his tiger agenda so he can at least put up with this. doesn't like reading the books, but loves you explaining it aloud to him, hand gestures and all. he thinks it's really cute.
wonwoo
entertains all your theories about the lore and character backstories of the novels you've been reading lately. you could look like that one guy in the corkboard meme with the red string and he'll just smile indulgently and ask you to tell him more. he's bought you about 70% of all the books you own, and he's not stopping any time soon. he'll stop when you run out of books to read, probably. and by the looks of it, that's not happening any time soon.
woozi
absolutely loves all those fantasy/ dystopian kinds of books the most. at first he was like “:// no thanks i have work” when you first asked him to read some books but now he likes reading them in his free time bc he gets to discuss lore with you in the evenings. likes watching the movie adaptations if they exist, bc then you both get to either applaud the accurate adaptation or complain loudly at the horrible inaccuracies that distort the plot beyond repair
minghao
forces you to take rest breaks every now and then when you're going on a whole reading binge bc it is Not good for your eyesight okay and he worries about you >:((( brews theeee best tea of all time for u and he'll sit down next to you in bed with his own book as you both read throughout the rest of the day. those are the best kinds of days, tbh. nothing gets better than sitting next to the person you love most and doing the thing you love most too
mingyu
he's the type to watch you with soppy eyes as you're reading your book beside him in bed. raises an eyebrow at you fondly when you finally finished, the “how was it?” clear in his eyes, and he just laughs delightedly when you simply explode with all the pent-up emotions as you rant to him about the ending and all the drama and tension that went on in the lead-up to it. loves that you're so passionate about your books. thinks it's super endearing.
dokyeom
asks for book recs every. single. month. then adds them to his list before promptly forgetting about them and asks for recs again. thinks that everything you read sounds like theee most interesting thing in the world which is why he's always asking for the titles, but he's just always so busy you know?? he did somehow actually read ‘the song of achilles’ bc of your rec, however, and cried over it for 2 days straight
seungkwan
likes to have, like. a mini book club between the two of you where you both read the same book bc then he gets to fully understand your rants and also bc he actually gets kind of invested??? his favourite genres are those modern slice-of-life ones bc then he gets to trash talk with you about all the bad decisions the characters are making in their lives
vernon
you read books, he plays games. the both of you can sit together in complete silence and be utterly content, and the arrangement works for you both. (seungkwan thinks you guys are crazy for just being able to sit there with your respective hobbies and Not Talk.) he bought you a kindle for christmas which turned out to be the best present ever bc now you never go anywhere without it. you thank him for it at least 3 times a day.
chan
thinks your love of books is one of your biggest charms. he met you on the train where he made the mistake of asking what book you were reading and ended up sitting through a 25 minute explanation and missing his stop, but it was okay bc he liked hearing you talk and ended the day with your number in his phone, so he counted it as a win. definitely a win in his opinion bc now he gets to listen to your book explanations as your boyfriend <3

HELP
OK my dearest 6 followers
I am on a valiant quest!!!! There was this book I read like 6 years ago; I don't remember the author, and I'm not totally sure about the title, but I think it was called Brave. It was reddish, had a big lighthouse on the cover from a wacky perspective, and the title was at the bottom in giant bold caps
I totally forgot about it apparently, and I have no idea where to find it. It doesn't even appear on the internet. I'm planning on going to the library later to see if I can find it
Here's a basic description of the plot juuust in case you've heard of it
(spoilers for this book that might not even exist)
Some mother with like 12 kids is dirt poor and hears that the ship her husband was on sank. She tells all her kids and they're all 'aw man'
and her oldest son is like 'thats bs' and goes out to Plymouth to find him (she's fine with this since hey less mouths to feed)
anyway he gets like halfway there when his little brother shows up and he's like WTF DUDE turns out the little bro was following him so that's neato dorito
they get there and beg around for a while, i think they found a dog and ate cabbage from the sewer, when some dudes come along and give them a bird in a cage and run away laughing. little bros sit there with this weird bird when the police or whatever show up and are like 'LITTLE RATS STOLE THAT MF BIRD' anyway they get framed and turns out the bird belonged to this cool guy who owns a lighthouse in the dangerous sea
so we have a whole father figure situation and the oldest kid learns to embrace himself and stuff, and tbh i don't remember how the end goes exactly but eventually he finds his father, cool bird guy dies at his lighthouse, its all sad the end maybe THANKS

Unleashing the Power of Audiobooks: A Gateway to Learning and Entertainment Shaina Tranquilino November 7, 2023
In an era where multitasking has become the norm, finding time to read a good book can be quite challenging. However, with the rise of audiobooks, literature enthusiasts are discovering a new way to indulge in their favourite stories. The convenience and accessibility of audiobooks have revolutionized the reading landscape, offering a plethora of benefits that extend beyond mere entertainment. In this blog post, we will explore how audiobooks have proven to be an invaluable resource by enhancing learning experiences, fostering literacy, and enabling individuals to maximize their time.
1. Accessibility for All: One of the most significant advantages of audiobooks is their ability to cater to diverse audiences. People with visual impairments or learning disabilities can now access literature effortlessly through audio formats. Additionally, those who struggle with reading due to dyslexia or language barriers find relief in the spoken word format. Audiobooks provide equal opportunities for everyone to engage with books and experience the joy of storytelling.
2. Enhanced Learning Experiences: Audiobooks are not limited to fiction; they also encompass educational content across various disciplines. From self-help guides and biographies to classic literature and scientific research, these audio companions offer an immersive experience that enhances learning outcomes. By combining auditory stimulation with written text, listeners can absorb information more effectively and retain knowledge for longer periods.
3. Multitasking Made Easy: The fast-paced nature of modern life often leaves little room for dedicated reading sessions. However, audiobooks allow us to transform mundane activities into engaging experiences by combining them with literary adventures. Whether you're commuting, exercising, cooking, or simply relaxing at home, immersing yourself in an audiobook enables you to make use of every spare moment without compromising on intellectual or recreational pursuits.
4. Improving Pronunciation and Language Skills: Listening skills play a crucial role in language acquisition, and audiobooks provide an exceptional platform for improving pronunciation and fluency. By following along with the narration, listeners can absorb correct intonation, rhythm, and accentuation. This practice not only benefits language learners but also helps native speakers refine their linguistic skills.
5. Sparking Imagination and Creativity: Audiobooks have a unique ability to bring stories to life through voice acting, sound effects, and music. These elements enhance the narrative experience by creating vivid mental images that captivate the mind's eye. Whether it's an epic fantasy or a gripping crime thriller, these auditory stimuli transport listeners into imaginative worlds where they become active participants in the storytelling process.
Audiobooks offer a modern solution to the perennial problem of finding time to read. They transcend barriers imposed by busy schedules, disabilities, or language constraints. With their accessibility, educational potential, multitasking-friendly nature, and ability to stimulate imagination, audiobooks have proven themselves as invaluable companions on our literary journeys. So if you haven't already embraced this innovative format of reading, why not give it a try? Let audiobooks revolutionize your reading experience while you savour captivating tales that ignite your imagination and expand your horizons like never before!
