I had a lot of fun designing them :> and i got to study deer anatomy which was fun

as for what I thought Evelyn would be...

I thought it would be cool if she was a mythical creature of some sort BUT I COULDNT DECIDE WHAT

I thought maybe pegasus or unicorn (because magic) or maybe a Hippogriff because birb ? And a peryton because its a deer with wings and theyre cool lol

I love your guys's feedback (it gives me motivation) so please let me know what you think and what design looked best for the witch girlfren and if you have any suggestions, i just love listening to peoples ideas :D

So I watched the first episode of season 3 about two hours ago, and I’m still emotionally damaged…

So, I heard a lot of people talking about how Hunter would recarve Flapjack. At first I thought it was a cute theory, but then I gave it a little bit of thought.

I don't think he's gonna do it. Why?

Because it would be just like Belos making countless grimwalkers (aka clones) of his brother.

Yes, Flapjack is not human (or witch, or a demon), but I think we can all agree that palismans have their own consciousness and personality, they're intelligent beings. Yes, palismans are carved, not born, BUT so was Hunter. He was MADE by Belos.

Hunter would never make a clone of someone he loved. Because he knows how it feels. Because that's EXACTLY what Belos did: he couldn't let go of his brother, so he made a new one, and then another one...

That's not to mention palistrom wood is an ingredient for both palisman AND a grimwalker.

I know people just want to see Flapjack alive and well and Hunter being ok, but we know there's no shortcut to healing. When you lose someone important you can't just make a new one.

If you wanna know my theory, I think Hunter's new palisman (if he even decides to make one for himself) is going to be a wolf.

Wolf as a symbol of his new family (a pack). I mean, Thanks to Them was an episode dedicated to Luz and Hunter in many ways, and there was a bunch of hints about Luz's palisman being a snake. Maybe the wolf shirt is a hint too.

Either that, or he's gonna carve an egg too and let the palisman choose. Or MAYBE another cardinal, but not the same as Flapjack (but IMO this is the most unlikely)

I think he's gonna make a new palisman and everyone is gonna be like huh??? I thought you would recarve Flapjack. And he's gonna be like welp, that's what I wanted to do at first, but then I ditched that idea.

So… I have a theory about these two.

People keep talking about how Flapjack and this yellow cardinal are both Caleb and Evelyn’s palismen. Some say yellow belonged to Caleb, and Flapjack belonged to Evelyn. Well, I think it’s the other way around in my opinion. For it was hinted at in “Thanks to Them” Flapjack was a gift to Caleb from Evelyn. So my proposal is this:

The yellow cardinal was Caleb’s gift to Evelyn. He made them as as either a “wedding proposal” gift (instead of a ring), or just as a thank you gift for her being so kind to him. Either way, if this is true, notice this:

Caleb was gold/yellow color coordinated.

The cardinal he gifted to Evelyn was yellow.

Evelyn was red color coordinated.

Flapjack is a red cardinal.

The two had palismen that reflected each other’s partner.

Caleb’s gift was a thank you to Evelyn for letting him be a witch.

Evelyn’s gift was to show how much she cared for him.

And to really hit the point home.

Cardinals mate for life.

The two were soulmates.

And their palismen reflected each other’s love for one another.

An AU where Hunter's last name really is Bloodwilliams. He is the son of the previous golden gard and a witch/vampire/bat-demon. I decided that the Bloodwilliams have a tradition with having gems as middle names.

I've seen other people calling the previous golden guard Orion, and in this AU, he changed his last name and took his wife's because no one wants the same last name as Belos. He also uses a magic sword instead of a staff, just bacause I wanted to draw a sword.

I love the thought that child witches have to grow into their ears :)
