Krel: So nobody on your planet uses math?
You: Nope. Never heard of it.
Krel: Ok.
You: Say, what is math anyway?
Krel: Well...
*Hours later*
You: Ok, so let me get this straight...
You, showing him the notebook full of math problems: You guys spend all day just writing this weird freaky symbols?
You: Are you an occult!?
Krel: No! It's for science. Math is the language of the universe.
You: Well, apparently the universe had a stroke because this is nonsense.
Krel: How did your kind achieve space travel without performing the necessary calculations?
You: It's a rocket! You blow some stuff up and it shoots you into space. It's not that hard!
You look to the side and your eyes widen.
You: Oh, my Crystal! You even write it on the walls! Like a psycho.
Krel: Well, that's a white board. Humans use it to teach children-
You: You do this infront of kids!?

Oddworld: The Promised Neverland homage (pt.1)
‘Kay, so I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole that is Oddworld lore…and I was *already* a big fan of the whole concept thanks to “The Promised Neverland.”
Surely this has been done before, but I couldn’t help paying some homages to the series—especially because it fits so damn well for obvious reasons!
And honestly…this is the most fun that I’ve had with my art for a long, long time. It’s like I remembered what I love about creating, and even *how* to do it. I remember loving symbolism and the significance of imagery…like here? I loved having the plates act as a kind of sick, ironic commodity: like the Glukkons absolutely would sell off “authentic” style dish wares with which to serve their workforce up on.
And even though I’ve only been able to play both the New n’ Tasty re-release and Soulstorm, I had a lot of fun trying to kind of reconcile the designs some for Abe and Alf? Alf especially; I liked the idea of him wearing his overalls down 90’s-ish style because it kind of acts reminiscent of his old loincloth, but still keeps him as visually distinct as Abe or Toby.

Sos for any spelling mistakes, je suis trés stupid. So, Jim wants to get into the unknown but how can he find something that doesn’t exist?

[ A new ship entered the field] Wirt x Jim, but it’s very one sided since Jim is still with Claire. Hmm, I wonder how Wirt fits into the story 🤔
Jk, there’s no suspense here, this is more a concept of a comic, rather than a fully fledged, linear comic. As you’ll see, there are parts that seem to be missing, and that’s cuz I’ve only done a few comics. However, they span over a large-ish period of time. Large enough for there to be gaps. Dw tho, I’ll fill you in on what needs to be said.
Things gotta eat to survive, and Wirt isn’t an exception. But for his sanity, he preys on the weak and faithless, knocks them out, and tries to help them out of the unknown. If they get out, yippee! If not... there’s nothing he could’ve done to help them more, and he has food. An extremely grey shade on an ethical scale.
This is part 1 of the second chapter. I have no clue how to put it cuz I’m dumb, so imma go with chapter.

Bonus of chapter 2~
Someone’s hungry. And it won’t go away if he ignores it.
Eli, being the theorist that he is, told his friends (steve + the main trio) about the unknown. He also mentions how he saw Wirt quickly, though he doesn’t go into detail about how Wirt looked and behaved differently, because of Eli feeling a bit embarrassed with the heart to heart.
Jim’s confused at how Eli not only found a way into the unknown (without even knowing it existed), but also why he saw Wirt there. Maybe the unknown manipulates itself into something familiar, but then why Wirt? He didn’t have any relation to Eli, so why him? Jim had no clue what was going on, but one thing is for sure. He’s gonna have to investigate Wirt closer.
So why not ask him to hang out?
