What was her name — Rae? Rachel? She didn’t hang out with the Untouchables, but then very few people were ever allowed to be in their orbit, and instead were just the topic of their ridicule. She seemed nice —- and smart. Aimee lowered her phone and turned fully to face her. “ It’s just… don’t you think that lesson was really hard? And this joint project… shit, I don’t feel like I took any of that stuff in. Kyle just texted me to say he’s smoking weed ‘round the back of the bike sheds and I really wanna join him for some first to help chill out a bit, you know? You can come with and then we can just head to the library after that…? ”
