Sun and Moon Show screensshots I took from today's video from how we learned Moon was with a mafia. They're so silly.
I'm glad that this is the only place I go to in order to discuss the show. I can deeply relate to Sun; I've felt useless, helpless, stupid, hated and more. The biggest difference is that I was lucky enough to not be put down so harshly when I was already in the depths.
I'm concerned about Sun every episode, and I'm bracing myself for all of his pain to be unleashed one of these days. The wait has been excruciating; wondering what will finally trigger it. He's so close to the edge, I've been scared that his own mind will convince him to end it each time the next VR episode comes out.
Although, I do have a bit of a rebuttal about Moon's response to Sun's problems. But... I can't talk about it tonight; it's too much right now.
Am I exaggerating whenever I say that Sun will "off" himself?
I see so many signs that the show's plot is going in this direction.. and yet I feel like I'm in minority...
Most people tend to focus more on Eclipse and his issues... Yeah, he needs therapy.. but no one can force him to change. He have to want that even if no one would forgive him or no one would like him. It might be harder to want to change but.. it's important to remember that we should always change for ourselves, for our own mental health etc. Eclipse shouldn't take things for granted because this is where the issue lays...
Anyway.. I didn't want to talk about Eclipse. It irks me that people tend to babify Eclipse and vilify Sun at the same time. I guess someone has to be a villain?/s But it frustrates me that people saw that Eclipse is su*c*dal and didn't see that with Sun! They saw it only when it was explicitely pointed out!
I know people probably like Eclipse more than Sun. If not.. Sun's fans are probably hidden somewhere..?
Anyway.. that's not what I wanted to talk about either.
I wanted to point out some of the signs that show really is going with Sun will "off" himself plot:
despite the obvious fact that Sun truly believes that he made everything worse there are also things like:
Earth's comment about Sun's cat liking her so much - Sun may feel like even his cat doesn't love him;
Earth's comment about her anxiety and lower self-esteem due to feeling unsure if she's helpful enough etc. - Sun may feel the need to support her more and shove away his own problems which will result with him not wanting to open up to Earth to not burden her further;
Moon's obliviousness to Sun's struggles - Sun may feel like no one really cares about him;
Moon's quick dismiss of Sun's idea about what to do with Eclipse - Sun may feel like he's efforts are nothing which alongside with
Moon doing most of the tough, important things - reinforces Sun's feelings of being useless and stupid;
Moon obliviousness to the whole situation with that "fangirl" - Sun may feel like Moon doesn't care about him or that his struggles are completely invisible;
Existence of "fans" like that "fangirl" - Sun said "so you're this type of fan" - did he met more fans like her? I'm assuming that yes, he did. - Sun may feel like fans not only doesn't like him but they hate him and either they want him gone or like seeing him suffer which he knows from comments on YT and Discord;
Being left alone with computer often time because Earth is in her room and Moon is going to do most of things needed to help with Eclipse's and creator's situations - computer's attitude towards Sun may worsen his mental state.
All of those things are so little and so easy to go unnoticed but it doesn't mean that they don't hurt Sun. And it's even worse in Earth's and Moon's cases because Sun knows that they care! How much easier it would be if they didn't... How much easier it would be to let go... But they care! They care.. and yet.. they seem so oblivious to Sun's struggles and suffering. Which only fuels su*c*dal thoughts and feeling of unbearable pain..!
I really wish that Sun won't kill himself.. or even try to... But the signs are there.. and they're painfully obvious... And yet not many people seem to notice that.. or maybe they don't care... ; ;
People only seem to care about other characters. "Where is Lunar?" "Oh no, Moon will sacrifice himself again!" "Eclipse is su*c*dal..." "I want Bloodmoon back!" And also the fact some of the fans left or were saying that show is badly written when show started focusing more on Sun's issues.. doesn't help to shaken off the feeling that people don't like Sun that much...
I know that people can like whoever they want.. but the lack of understanding of Sun's issues is unnerving... I still see that people only focus on Sun's "anger issues" even if it's the least concerning issue of all! It's tiring.. it's just tiring...
i just had the weirdest dream-
so yk that one fake scary video channel called life of luxury?
so I had a dream that sun and moon were reacting to it, they were doing their reactions, blah blah blah, the video ends, they start doing their outro.
but on the screen Sun notices that it says "now its your turn" in spooky red text.
and then they get teleported into a life of luxury video as Chester (Sun) and Parker (Moon).
and the scary monster thing in the random girl's house turned out to be Lunar the entire time using nano machines to take on a scary form.
turns out he wasn't a month late on his return he was just too busy fucking with this random girl.
but then they got teleported back and the dream ended somtime while they were teleporting.
(SUN AND MOON SHOW SPOILERS)
HE FINALLY DID IT!! HE FINALLY OPENED UP!!!
I'm freaking choked up but smiling right now. Sun has been holding all of this pain back for MONTHS; for more than half a year.
THIS is how the incident with Bloodmoon's death should have gone rather than Moon only focusing on how HE HIMSELF feels rather than what Sun was feeling and what was motivating him to do drastic things.
But I think Moon absolutely made up for it today, or has at least started to. I only think it's taken this long because of both the myriad of distractions the brothers are dealing with, and, more importantly, I think Moon was waiting for Sun to come to him. I get the feeling that Moon's known that something's up, but either he didn't know how to approach Sun about it, or another thing.
Something I've learned the hard way is that you can't force someone to open up and get help; you have to wait until THEY are ready (as much as they make you want to pull your hair out because of HOW GODDAMN STUBBORN--sorry).
But I'm SO GLAD Moon put his foot down because Sun was already too deep in believing that nobody would care about his suffering. And how Moon took a break WITH Sun, ready to help if Sun's psyche started acting up... I just, I can't. So many happy tears!
Things are far from fixed, but we've, at long last, started down the road.
On a lighter note, it's kind of ironic to me how "Bloodmoon" came in at just the right time; where Moon could finally at least have a bit of insight on Sun's current mental state, when all "he's" been doing is tearing Sun down. I can't believe I'd ever say this, but THANK YOU SUDDEN BLOODMOON HALLUCINATION~! :D
Also, GOD Davis and Reed KILLED IT today! Sun's denial, Moon's persistence, the line "BECAUSE YOU'RE MY BROTHER!", and finally the breakdown... man. I mean, they always do a great job -- all the actors do, on all the channels. Whether you like how they make the characters sound or not, you have to give them credit for the hard work they do. They don't just work on these shows, they have their own channels with FnaF Minecraft roleplays! Also, you know, real life is a thing for everyone.
Sun did it! He finally took a break! It may have just been one day, but he took the next step and that's legitimately fantastic. As my therapist taught me, "something is better than nothing".
A longer break IS needed, but we saw how Sun was struggling with just a single day -- not just Bloody, but Sun himself doesn't know what to do during a break.
For right now taking a break is stressful for him, but if he keeps at it he'll let himself relax over time. He's probably gonna have days where he doesn't make progress, but he's also gonna have great days.
Also, even if he doesn't realize it, I am SO RELIEVED Moon said the same things Bloodmoon said! Now Sun won't just constantly disregard what he's being told just because Bloodmoon's saying it because New Moon, whom he does listen to, is saying the exact same thing.
AND the lying thing is back, oh boy... I'm REALLY hoping that, when Moon finds out the truth, it'll be the opposite of what happened last time -- you know, a contrast to show character development. New Moon listens to Sun and fully believes that, if Sun has lied about anything, there's gotta be some sort of reason behind it because... well, why would Sun just lie out of nowhere?
ALSO I HAVE AN IDEA FOR SOMETHING THEY CAN ENJOY TOGETHER!
BLOOPERS. OF ANY KIND. FROM ANYTHING.
THESE INCARNATIONS OF SUN AND MOON HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH HELL FOR SO LONG AND THEY BOTH NEED A LAUGH AND THERE'S A BLOOPER OUT THERE FOR EVERYONE. JUST TRY TO TELL ME I'M WRONG! XD
Also Monty Python. That could work, too. :3
Anybody have other ideas? I'm curious!
This was a WEIRD episode XD
Suon has a greater goal.
Suon has a greater goal.
Suon has a greater goal than playing FnaF and nobody can convince me otherwise. :p
Davis and Reed have subverted expectations yet again! Now I have NO idea how or when Sun and Moon are going to reconcile.
Suon (or Meteor, as I like to call him) ripping open the bandage and pouring salt on one of Sun's many wounds was one thing, but using Lunar against him was freaking LOW. Sun and Lunar's relationship has always felt kind of rocky to me, but I'm certain Sun loved Lunar back then, and he absolutely does now! Did you guys hear the anger in Sun's tone when Meteor suggested "playing" with his little brother? Sun almost losing Lunar (and thinking he DID lose him for weeks on end...) made him appreciate the little guy much more.
And who is Meteor to talk about Sun "not loving" Lunar? He has no loved ones aside from himself and is a dangerous bully with no remorse! After seeing how he escaped (dammit Freddy!) and listening to what he was saying just before, it sounds like he wants to get under Sun's figurative skin. Is he trying to push Sun to the extreme so he'll do something "brazen", as Meteor put it?
As much as I miss Lunar, at the same time I've believed that maybe it's good he's kinda MIA right now. Eclipse doesn't know where he is; he's safe. And I KNOW, I know, Eclipse quite possibly regrets abusing him, but all Eclipse knows right now is toxic and harmful behavior! I don't think he has any idea how else to treat others! He has a LOOONG way to go if he wants to so much as talk to Lunar again!
And... oh, Moon. He sounded so tired when answering his brother's call. It's to be expected, he just had a blow up after all, but he almost sounded dead inside. He sounded so done with everything, and... I can relate. There have been plenty of times when I've felt done with the world, especially this year and last year.
As concerning as Sun's mental condition is, Moon's been through hell, too.
When he started threatening Meteor it actually scared me a bit. The passive aggressiveness and, maybe I just suck at hearing differences in emotions vocally speaking, but the fact that he barely changed his tone was chilling. Reed is too good voicing distraught Moon. WAY TOO GOOD. XD
Though, I highly doubt Moon would do something like go back to his old ways because he's better than that, even if his emotions are kind of... in turmoil at the moment.
Sorry if any of this sounds... sloppily written. I'll edit this tomorrow if I feel the need to, but right now it's late and I'm ready to just have some comfort food and go to bed. G'night everybody!
Honestly, I didn’t feel very much about todays lore video. All I thought about it was, “Oh man- uh… Eclipse died-“. So anyways here is a tribute to Dorito man
(ID in alt)
I was both excited and nervous on how things would be with Sun and Lunar and now that it's here it's such a weight off the chest. I'm glad there are no hard feelings, but I hope Sun can make a heartfelt apology after Lunar is able to get past his... dissociating? Is that what he's doing to cope? I'm not entirely sure...
Also THANK THE HEAVENS for his older siblings! They know what's going on and want to help, but they want to help Lunar the healthy way. The trio (Sun, Moon, and Earth) has become a quartet at last!
Wow, they REALLY went ham on enforcing Lunar being a kid in his return two parter with Monty’s channel
Guess they wanted to end the conversation regarding that once and for all
But besides that—
Oh my god is it good to see him back and that no hard feelings are had between him and Sun any more
And good on Sun, Moon, and Earth wanting to make sure he healthily copes after everything that happened
So, the newest episode of the Sun and Moon show!
I love the design of that supposed replacement. It's unsettling and, being the scare-fan that I am, I found it freaking COOL.
Also, Sun's dolphin-censored tirade was freaking hysterical. The way it shifts to his POV and seeing both the replacement AND Moon just turn around and stare at him was icing on the cake. XD
...Now for the bad thing. I honestly really did not like Moon's attitude. I'm putting a trigger warning just to be safe.
I get that Moon's in a bad mood from being woken up into a living nightmare, but Sun had no idea what was going to happen! That attitude of "deal with it yourself" and then the "f--k you" were both totally uncalled for.
Plus, SUN IS FILLED WITH ANXIETY AND TERROR BY THE END OF IT, LESS THAN TEN MINUTES AFTER HE WOKE MOON UP. Moon was just as freaked out by the replacement so the least he could've done was say something comforting to his brother.
I'm sorry, but being cranky doesn't excuse Moon from acting like a pr-ck.
Something I've noticed more and more about New Moon is that, well, despite being nicer he's still kind of immaturely selfish. He's more focused on NOT acting like his old self rather than trying to be a better brother to Sun, and as a result he's acting quite a bit like his old self.
Also, not to bring up the past but that episode where he saved Sun in the desert and just LASHED OUT at him really bugged me. He twisted everything that happened around so that Sun looked like the only one to blame, even though HE KNEW THAT SUN WAS POSSIBLY LYING ABOUT SOMETHING. AND not letting him get a word in until Sun's head was clearly spinning with negative emotions. Yes, Sun shouldn't have gone looking for Moon when he asked to be alone, but HE DIDN'T ASK TO GET KIDNAPPED.
I'm not trying to villainize Moon or anything. I genuinely like him, but he's got much more growing to do than he thinks and needs to realize it before he causes irreparable damage to his bond with his brother.
I just needed to get that out of my mind. ^_^;
THIS. THIS, THIS, THIS!
Hit the nail on the freaking HEAD, my friend. You summed it up perfectly; I don't think there's any more to add. I can tell that you've got a lot of empathy and, while I'm not an expert at it myself, you really know your psychology.
On a separate note, I'm glad you're not afraid to say heavy words like people seem to be becoming (probably because most websites, particularly YouTube, are run by cowards that treat everything as an irredeemable swear word these days).
Also, on another separate note... I just want to give our boys a hug, a safe space, and piles and piles of indisputable proof that they're better than they think they are but also let them know their pain is completely valid.
Solar seems to cope similarly to Sun.. they both kind of repress their trauma..
And also they both view themselves as they're bad and not good enough and they blame themselves for things that went wrong..
I think that the difference is that Solar thiks that he's bad due to trauma and circumstances and it shows in the way of how he responds to our Sun..
He pushes him away because he doesn't want to go through the same thing like it was with his Sun and that's why he keeps Sun on distance and seems even sometimes passive aggressive towards Sun..
This is quite common thing for people who were traumatised the way Solar is.. Just avoiding the same circumstances that led to your trauma - even pushing someone away if needed..
Sun on the other hand seems to believe himself to be bad.. and it shows in the way he acts and in his general behaviour..
Sun also tries to avoid the circumstances that led to bad things that happened before.. but you can clearly see from the way Sun responds to events that are happening in his life that Sun thinks that no matter what he'll do or say he'll always mess up..
The difference between feeling that you're bad and believing that you're bad.. is that the first one is simply normal response to trauma and typical for many mental issues.. the second one on the other hand isn't a normal thing.. you believe yourself to be evil without a reason (some reason can also be there but your mind just always exaggerates everything to absurd scale)..
But funny thing is that you're trying your best to be good.. but in your mind you'll never be able to do something good not because you're not doing good things.. but simply because your mind will always find something to complain about you.. for example:
You: I'm going to buy this lovely present for my bestie <3
Your mind: You're only doing this because you want them to perceive you as a kind friend.. but actually you're doing it to boost your own ego.. you're definitely not doing it because you simply like your friend...
Or another example:
You: "I love you, mom" <3
Your mind: Why did you say that if it's not true? Cause if you genuinly loved your mom you wouldn't act like you do...
It's simply that that you don't believe that you have any good intentions ever... Unlike in first case when you believe that you're not good enough so you try harder and better and even sabotage yourself.. in the second case it's just everything can be fine, you can have good grades, be a good parent, spouse or kid or sibling.. but in your head you still view yourself as the most awful being.. your life can be good but you won't stop believe that you're evil...
In both cases 1) when you feel like you're bad and 2) when you believe yourself to be bad.. you're unable to accept kindness of others and happiness in your life which applies to both Sun and Solar..
In second case people also often perceive you as dishonest and two-faced.. just like many assumed about Sun at the beginning of the show.. iykyk💀
And also the anger issues and people telling you "you need to chill" - happened to Sun and me as well..
Cause I'm talking from my experiences..
Also when you believe yourself to be evil you often times let other overstep your boundaries cause when you speak up others often read that as you being too pretentious and/or angry..
That's why Sun most the time doesn't tell people to stop treating him the way it hurts him because he feels that it's both deserved and it would be seen as if he's asking for too much (even if in reality that's not true)..
Also did you realize how Sun always seem to be concerned about Moon's safety whenever the things about Old Moon are brought up? He rarely says that he's scared that Moon will start to abuse him once again.. It's more like "I'm scared that Moon will start acting like Old Moon and do something rush and endanger himself" (not real quote but example).. It's almost never about how Moon treated Sun but how Moon will potentially do something that may lead to him being harmed or even to his another death...
I don't even know if Sun fully processed Old Moon's abuse and aknowledged it as something true that happened.. Remember like Sun hallucinated Old Moon and he told the hallucination that Moon wasn't like that.. "maybe at the beginning but he changed".. and it was a response to what OM's hallucination told Sun that he represents Sun's fear that Moon never loved him.. and Sun later said "I loved you.. I did"
Also the example I gave with telling your mom that you love her also fit Sun's situation - remember how many times Sun told Moon "I love you"? Compared to how many times Moon told that Sun it's like he almost never told that (on-screen, Sun told Moon that he used to say that more often but Moon didn't like hearing Sun saying that)..
I believe that Sun wasn't saying that many times that he loves Moon because he simply felt that it is fake due to how he was unable to help Moon and how many times he screwed up everything..
You may think that I'm exaggerating but.. the fact is that I know that it bothered people - the fact that Moon who isn't as emotionally open up as Sun says that more often than the supposed to be more emotionally open up Sun..
And I can't blame them, it's like I said people viewed Sun at not so kind and as if he hides a dark side to himself or that he's straight up two-faced because of how more Moon talked about his feelings and how little of Sun's p.o.v. we've ever gotten..
Sun tries his best but whenever he messes up even something insignificant and small or when things are going downhill he immediately takes the blame (internally) on himself and try doing things from a different angle and then again and again and again.. and list of ideas for what to change in himself and how to approach this problem differently for all those previous times that ended up horribly are getting shorter and shorter and shorter.. until you don't know what to do.. and everything is crushing you from the inside and often times you start to think that the only solution to all the problems is to kill yourself - not only because you want to end your own suffering but also because you don't want to be a burden and a problem for others...
I hope that what I wrote makes any sense.. even a little bit and I hope that I didn't make mistakes cause English isn't my native language.. QwQ
I didn't even think about the thumbnails being foreshadowing, and I'm on board with it!
I think Sun will save New Moon, too. I'm thinking about how Eclipse--one or two? Was there another one before the Eclipse that took over Solar Flare? I don't even know anymore! XD
ANYWAY, when Eclipse warned Moon that Sun would lie dying in the former's arms... I'm kind of thinking they'll do what they did in the first Pokemon movie (by coincidence) and have Sun, protecting New Moon, getting caught between a blast energy from both sides. Eclipse SPECIFICALLY told New Moon that would happen, and... as much as they want to, the siblings (Sun, Earth, Lunar, and maybe Solar depending on what happens when) can't just write off New Moon as a villainous stranger. Not after, what, a year and a half of being a part of the family? A part of them?
Yes, he grew more and more into a selfish prick during that time (pretty early on if you ask me, at least to Sun...), but, I mean, just two months ago from his breakdown NM and Solar turned Earth into a goose simply to cheer her up! And she loved it and NM was having so much fun HE turned himself into a goose to fool around with her!
I'm not watching the show every day (maybe a few episodes at a time as they come out), but I can see Earth's super conflicted about how to respond to NM's actions towards her. I don't blame her one bit for that.
And... I don't know much about Old Moon in the early, early days (I came in long after July 16th), but, in the beginning, he WAS kind to Sun more than his old self seemed to be, before he devolved more and more into unhinged selfishness.
Even after NM did all that he did, I doubt the group could just write him off and let him die. This goes especially for Sun, the poor guy was broken hearted that his twin was gone. He could barely even function...
I realized that some of thumbnails might be a foreshadowing 🫢
So remember when I was right that sams minecraft episodes with heroes skins with thumbnail with Sun being Iron Man and Moon being Spiderman was a foreshadowing to Sun being a conduit for star's power.. cause you know Sun did Iron Man's thing..
And now I had a theory that maybe a thumbnail from when Sun and Moon met Ruin's Creator is a foreshadowing of Creator changing something in New Moon's code..
So.. and here's the best part, remember those amazing thumbnails made by an artist (I don't remember their name QwQ) to HW2 gameplay?
The last thumbnail was Sun with sword from Princess Quest.. the one Princess was fighting the glitch with.. and remember who Sun had to defeat? That's right, Moon. But from the thumbnail we can guess that Sun defeated a virus.. because Moon was laying unconscious.. not dead.
So what if Sun will save New Moon from a virus or whatever Creator put in him (or whoever that was, my bet is Creator but I might be wrong)? What if Sun won't kill New Moon but will save him?
Sun won't become a Dark Sun 2.0.. he'll be a hero who will save Moon..
Or I hope so.. but this is my theory about these thumbnails ^^
Man, I wish so much more was done with KC. But after his arc they just kind of gave him a choppier version of the Moondrop model and sent him away.
I'd have to look back at the older episodes for better inspiration, but imagine if he was sort of an uncle figure to the cast. Y'know, that relative that isn't there physically but can stay in contact. Meanwhile he's trying to find his way into the world, trying to learn how to keep people from being afraid of him--he could've made friends with some non-Fnaf characters that live in that world.
I know that The Sun and Moon show is packed with plots and characters that it gets overwhelming, but imagine if they did a miniseries with Killcode before... y'know... It would've made his death so much more impactful.
Also, I once read a comment from someone saying that KC could have something like a dragon body thanks to that voice of his. Ooh, what if they used nanomachines for his body and let him be a shapeshifter!?
LUNAR AND EARTH SHOW AND SUN AND MOON SHOW SPOILERS!
Today Moon did the very thing I'd endlessly wanted Nexus to do since the star incident, over a year ago.
He cared about Sun. Moon was empathetic and gentle, all of his focus was on comforting his brother. Helping Sun let out the pain, hugging him, trying to cheer him up a little.
And not a single selfish, insensitive action that hurt his brother.
The last time I felt Sun got this kind of compassion and care was with Jack. That childish, gung-ho, knife-fingered goofball can be really insightful when the time calls for it--as confirmed with him comforting Dazzle. I know Original Moon didn't make Jack, but Solar and Nexus made him, so... like nephew like uncle, I guess???
Sun talking about the kids... that was so bittersweet. I don't even have the words for it. I genuinely don't; the scene speaks for itself and I love that.
Also, the name Evelyn... I know there's a song called "Evelyn, Evelyn" and it's about conjoined twins (I think?). I wonder if that's either a coincidence or a reference considering Sun and Moon are twins and they both know and feel the weight of what happened on that day.
EDIT: (SPOILERS) I just thought of something! Jack listening to Sun and comforting him, what if that was foreshadowing for Moon doing the same thing!? They both knew Sun's emotions were the priority and didn't mention a single thing about themselves, after all! LIKE UNCLE, LIKE NEPHEW, BISHES!
Could I just be stretching things and seeing things that aren't there? Very most likely, but... just let me have this! XD
YYEEEEEESSSS THE PAIN AND ANGST HAS BEEN UPLOADED👹👹
Vahbsbsndndndj these episodes where wholesome ^^
It was painful but also comforting 💗
moon gets best brother award
I-
It wasn't what I expected.. but I'm not disappointed.. not at all..
Because maybe..
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I always knew that Sun blamed himself for July 16th for so long.. like he said later he learned that it wasn't his fault.. but why he didn't stop that? Why he didn't do something?
I'm so happy that Moon was there for Sun..
I can't.. I- I can't even describe and explain how exactly it makes me feel..
It's just.. Sun telling Moon that he feels like a failure and that he blamed himself for what happened to Dazzle and other kids.. and then Moon saying that Sun is a good person
It just it's something.. that I always fantasized about.. I mean it's not exactly related to sams.. I was imagining various scenarios with my favourite characters that they felt like they're bad and someone telling them that they're good and just helping them and I just idk I never thought that something like that will actually happen in any media I like.. you know..
I was always making up this stories.. to cope with how I felt about myself.. but I just knew that something like that could never happen.. that if someone felt like they're bad and did something bad even if it's not exactly their fault.. that no one would ever forgive them.. I felt like that because of my delusions..
But seeing this actually happening to one of my favourite characters.. to character that I deeply relate to.. it feels so unreal but it means so much to me
I know that they don't know me and some of you may think that I'm cringe.. but I'm gonna say it..
Thank you Davis and EC! I can't thank you enough for what you both gave me with this show and Sun.. I don't have words..
You won't probably see this.. and even if you do.. it's just not much for you.. but I'm thankful for this show and Sun and..
Thank you! I was so scared that this suffering could never end.. and that something like in today's episode could never happen.. because I always thought that it's just too hopeful and stupid.. but suffering don't have to last forever.. everything will be okay one day.. things will get better..
I can't thank you enough, Davis, EC.. thank you 💗
THANK YOU ^^
I don't like to fly off the handle but GOD I WANNA GO UNIT 01 ON HIS A--!
I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator. I hate the creator.
(SAMS Spoilers) Moon's been ACTING off...
(SO MANY SPOILERS BELOW: YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!)
TL;DR: Moon isn't Moon, it's Nexus acting as him like how Dark Sun impersonated Lord Eclipse's Sun.
Yesterday's episode, "Lord Eclipse's Surprise"? I don't think Dark Sun's the only one who was acting.
We know Moon. We know how caring he's been -- taking other's emotions and past into account when he's talking to them. When he's in the middle of something, like finding out Ruin disappeared, he will now take the time to be mindful and not lash out emotionally. He's been trying to find coping methods for when he needs them and found a weekly schedule that seems to work for him.
So... with all of this into account, am I the only one who thought Moon was acting REALLY off when interacting with Solar? He randomly asks how how Solar's Sun and Moon are, apparently forgetting that they're DEAD.
Then he unintentionally insults Solar maybe three times -- the first two Solar called him out for -- and he even says "when you and Lunar invaded our heads" -- uh, pardon? Since he came back, when has the Moon we now know ever make a slip up like that? Moon's made it pretty clear through his actions that he sees Solar as a good friend at least and wants to be respectful of the guy's trauma.
At first I thought Moon was too preoccupied with an extremely important matter, but the more I watched the video, the more off he felt.
I firmly Moon has been taken away, or taken over, by Nexus.
Today's episode only helped cement it. Nexus was a bit better at hiding it, but there were still some slip ups with how he treated Sun. Being insensitive to him possibly having a mental crisis (or worse) and turning his emotions into a joke, YELLING at Sun for photos of the.. lab? (Was that what it was? Sorry, moot point.) Not to mention sounding rather bitter when the subject of lying and honesty came up.
Remember how the Bloodmoon simulation showed Nexus fighting Sun? ONCE AGAIN, Nexus made himself the victim over a pure assumption, and frankly just being an insensitive prick? Even for a simulation it was accurate to Nexus' petulance, and Moon said that the computer calculated the simulation, not him. I don't know where that detailed amount of info came from but my best guess is Sun's own memories. Moon probably asked Sun for them to use to make the simulation more accurate.
The BM Simulation arc wasn't just about Sun moving past his actions, it was reminding us of how Nexus began to act after Sun lied to him (WHICH, AGAIN, HE WAS WARNED ABOUT--sorry).
And Monty's line in today's episode: "Yer not who Ah think you is; you is not him you are you!"
That'd apply perfectly to Nexus if he really has taken Moon's place. Foreshadowing~!
OH! And remember when Ruin joined Dark Sun and Nexus? He was reciting Shakespeare beforehand and we KNOW that he's a big fan of acting.
I bet Ruin taught them how to act. Dark Sun can do it almost flawlessly but Nexus... yeah, not so much. I bet the latter felt overconfident and slipped up as a result.
About Molten (SaMS and LaES spoilers!)
(Disclaimer: I don't know much about Molten before Old Moon came back, so I don't know how accurate this will be)
Augh... I had this written SO WELL yesterday and I can't match up to it now. I'm just going to be short and sweet.
I think Molten arrived at the house at the perfect time.
After what happened to Moon and how he felt during yesterday's episode, I have a feeling that it's going to be Molten who will at least start the process of pulling Moon back to his feet.
Moon thinks he's irredeemable, but he's been growing by leaps and bounds since he came back. He's still got a lot of himself to improve, but Molten is living proof that he has a legitimate chance. Molten wanted to be better, he wanted to be more than what he was programmed to be, and he's been doing a great job.
We've seen Moon be very, genuinely kind towards Molten. He not only gave Molten a chance, but he behaves in a very parent-like way towards him. He's endlessly patient, answers his questions with respect, and even fusses over his well-being.
Maybe today's episode will be Molten returning that kindness.
