Calem, a quiet and frail teenager, leaves the hospital to embark on his journey.
The thirteen-year-old boy slowly opened his eyes. All he saw, was a blank ceiling, with a single light. He looked around, and realized that he was in a hospital.
He tried to remember why he was here, and how long he was here. From the looks of it, he must have been here for a while. The boy then heard the door creak open and turned around to see an old-looking doctor. The doctor said, “You have fully recovered. You’ll officially be released. All I need is proper paperwork from your parent or guardian.”
After the necessary paperwork was done, the boy was finally able to leave the hospital. A few days after leaving, he finally decided to start his journey. He was sent off to Professor Sycamore’s office, where he would start his journey.
”This world of ours is widely inhabited by creatures known as Pokémon! These mysterious creatures can be found in every corner of our world...some run across the plains, others fly through the skies, and others yet swim in deep oceans...We live together with these Pokémon, lending our strength to one another to live and prosper.” Professor Sycamore told the boy as he motioned towards the starters. There was only one PokéBall left.
”Tell me, what’s your name?” the professor asked the boy, before he could take the starter.
”It’s...C...Calem...” the boy stuttered, trying to straighten up.
”Alright, Calem, you can now choose your Pokémon,” Professor Sycamore told Calem.
Calem then took the only starter that was left, Chespin.
He then received his Pokédex and PokéBalls, and was now ready to start his journey.
*a few weeks later*
Coumarine City Gym
Leader: Ramos
Calem read the stone plate, fingering its engraved words.
He then thought to himself, Since Kirlia’s on my team, I might be able to win this...
When Calem was about to walk inside, a familiar girl and her friends walked out. Whirling around, he saw a girl with blonde hair, talking to a teenage boy with spiky black hair. Another teenage boy, with light blond hair, and his sister, also happily participated in their conversation. They all walked away together, without a care in the world.
”S...Serena...?” Calem whispered as he started to follow them. “WAIT!”
It was only then, he got the group’s attention.

Suffering creatively; coping with meme redraws
My xy future designs (from the still nameless Galar au I've mentioned like once before I think)
I tried to mimic the title-cards a bit with the colours over the top, version without that under the cut

Some strange picture that came to my mind.
Since I have a vacation, I decided to draw my favorite characters. One of them is Monsieur Pierre from Pokemon XY(Z).
And then THIS surreal frame from the episode where he was arranging a dance party and standing next to Elle popped up in my memory. He always looked kinda tall next to other characters (mostly performers), but in this episode the hight difference is most noticeable.
And I wondered: "How tall is this skyscraper?"
So, I decided for the sake of interest and future reference to find his approximate height, relying on the canon height of the Mahoxy (Delphox).
Aligning the height of all three characters in the place where Elle is, dividing the height of her pokemon into 5 equal parts and doing a simple math - I got the results.

Imho Kalos has one of the best Dex from the whole franchise and I'm not even that much of a fan of the 6 gen, anyway. I absolutely LOVE Florges design and althought this one is a old edit I still feel it's worth to share it here

She's one of my favorite champions (and a cleanly beautiful one!) even if X/Y as games weren't that much good. As much as I have some issues with Pokémon despite probably being my favorite franchise, I really love them and some of them are deeply special to me

Hey. Timeskip Alain.
Personal theory: Legends Z-A is in the future, and our boy somehow lived long enough to see it. Reason on how he lived that long? I dont know yet.
I imagine Alain sitting down on a bench, then notices someone, that someone being Serena's descendant. (im using her because there is no Calem in the anime. Maybe the dialogue is different, switching Serena for Ash so its fair.)
Here's the thing: he forgot that the rest are dead.
"Serena! Thank goodness you're still here. How is Ash, Clemont, everyone else?"
And then she's just kinda standing there, confused. Who is Serena? Who even is this old man? Why is he talking to you?
I don't know if he might be important to the plot, I just want Alain to show up again aaaaa

I think we can all agree that gen 6 was the best anime. I gave up at the legs because anything I did looked bad in the style. God cursed me to only draw chibi and cartoons. I'm also a big Ash × Serena shipper so I was happy to draw this.
I also ship Ash with Chikorita but we don't talk about that.

Parallelisms between Lysandre and Sycamore are always very much appreciated~
Anyway, look at their positions. Sycamore is almost in the center of the picture. It’s like he’s coming to fill an empty space between Alain and Charizard: his coming doesn’t look so disturbing. Maybe the fact that he’s a little bit moved on the left means that his visit is unexpected for Alain (or that the Professor is still very important for him, but he can’t be at the center of his thoughts anymore, since Alain has to stay away from him to protect him). Lysandre is extremely moved on the right. Not only his visit is unexpected, but Ash has no idea who this guy is. It looks like he interrupted something, also, it’s interesting to note that while before the view was focused on Ash and his team, now the picture is almost fully dominated by Lysandre: the perspective of the image is built on his figure, it underlines his presence. The fact that he’s coming close to the white line on the ground is another factor that makes you think that he’s invading Ash’s personal space. Lysandre is a stranger and he’s suspicious. Also, is funny to note that Sycamore has to walk through light to arrive to Alain, while Lysandre has to walk through darkness to reach for Ash. In the end, Sycamore has good intentions, but we can’t say the same for Lysandre…
