I love this scene so very much. Not only does it have Edwin strutting through a door in a 100% showing off for the cute boy manner, but it also has him making the cute dying boy laugh, and he himself smiling and laughing in what is probably one of the first, if not THE FIRST time in 73 years.

My absolute favorite part of this exchange though, is when Charles asks him why he doesn’t fall through the floor and he tries to obfuscate.

“Oh there’s so many ghost rules, it’ll bore you if I tell you them all. Haha. 😅 ”

Sweetheart had only been a ghost, at max, for a couple of months at this point. I think we can all agree, Edwin had no idea why he doesn’t fall through the floor. But, he’s Edwin, and if his little strut through the door told us anything, he’s trying to impress Charles. He definitely wasn’t going to admit to his ignorance lol.

The fact that Charles doesn’t let it go, gets a snippy little response, is obviously charmed by it, and they both laugh about it, is just so sweet. Probably the first appearance of Charles’ heart eyes at Edwin being a bitch lol. One of my favorite scenes from the whole show, honestly.
