Yuusona - Tumblr Posts
What's that? I finally took the time to make an actual character sheet for my Yuusona?
Yuu
17 years old, 1st year
They/them, probably on the aro/ace spectrum though they never really thought about it (they do get weird when people show interest in them)
Half Japanese half french
Probably has some flavor of AuDHD
Back home: Before they were kidnapped forcefully moved to Twisted Wonderland, they were the main caretaker of four younger siblings while their parents were busy working. One of their main worry now is whether their siblings are doing alright without them. Their deepest wish is to at least be able to phone call their family to reassure them that they are ok.
Personality: They usually prefer to stand to the side and observe rather than talk and engage with others. They tend to be very prudent with their actions, up until their patience runs out. They're actually pretty perceptive and great at reading others, they just keep everything to themself without realizing.
They make up their absence of magic with their fists and wits. People tend to underestimate them due to their size and quiet demeanor, but they can be vicious and ruthless when push comes to shove. They are not very expressive physically.
At school: Yuu has a terrible focus so they struggle a lot, even when the subject interests them. They are very fond of History of Magic but also hates it because learning a whole world's history in a few months only is a nightmare and a half. They also hate flying with a passion since they are scared of heights. If they could choose a club, Yuu would go for photography and/or filming.
At Ramshackle: Yuu cleans the dorm as a past time, it keeps their body moving while they're thinking about what problem they currently have. They hate cooking though, so when the cafeteria isn't accessible they try to cram themselves in whichever dorm will have them to enjoy someone else's cooking. They aren't very time savvy so they and Grim keep leaving late in the mornings.
Relationships (with Housewardens/OB)
Yuu has a soft spot for Riddle. Unless it's some rule they find completely nonsensical they tend to do whatever Riddle asks. Whenever Yuu comes to class with a clean uniform, it's because Riddle was around to correct their appearance.
Yuu and Leona's relationship is peak siblinghood. Once Yuu figures out that Leona won't act on (half of) his threats, it's over for him. He's one of the first Yuu comes to when they have a problem.
Yuu and Azul regularly try to outsmart each other. At first their interest with Azul is very transactional since he can help with everything Crowley can't be bothered to do (ie give Yuu an actual legal presence in this world) but since they have somewhat similar mindsets they end up getting along very well.
Yuu values Kalim's presence a lot. He's one of the rare pure hearted people at school so Yuu doesn't have to be hyper vigilant around him. It's a breath of fresh air. He is a bit too active for Yuu though, so they tire very fast around him.
"It takes one liar to know another" would be Jamil and Yuu's relationship starter. They had weird vibes from each other from the very start but Jamil did end up underestimating Yuu. Yuu is obsessed with Jamil's hair and regularly takes pictures of him.
Yuu is kinda scared of Vil (in a good way). If they were a tad more outgoing they'd be asking Vil to pose for their camera 24/7. Instead they quietly worship him.
If Yuu could, they'd adopt Idia (and Ortho). Yuu tends to miss their siblings all the time so they get a bit emotional around them both.
Yuu loves to observe Malleus. He's some kind of very strange entity that they can't get enough of and they don't understand half of what he talks about which tickles their curiosity a lot.
Yuu treats Grim like their own cat and plushie. They hold him in their arm as much as possible (until Grim gets tired of it and wanders off somewhere else) because it reassures them. They do fight a lot, a bit like siblings, but they also look out for the other all the time. Yuu sometimes agree to cook for Grim despite hating it.
Relationships (the less fun kind):
Since they're in a world they don't know with students who try to kill them every couple months, Yuu is very defensive in how they approach relationships. Everything starts as transactional and about how "useful" someone can be to keep around. They try to keep even the people they don't really get along with close for this reason.
They are actually very emotional (despite not showing it) so their heart takes precedence over their brain eventually. Despite not being particularly proactive they do go out of their way to help the ones they're close to.
Character sheet commission for @cosmickuneho featuring their Yuusona Yuuki Sato!
I love drawing long hair I swear it's the best. Thanks again for this commission <3
Twst! Finn: *bouncing and smiling* Hayeli! I saw your intro post! You look so cool! 🥰 *Hangs off him* But I already knew that!~ *beams in bestie* Yuu! Join us for bestie cuddles!
I like to color your drawings before sleep and HRNGHH what color are yuusona's skin and hair and eyes pls I want it to be biblically accurate
(For reference, I'm coloring the subway drawings)
Here are their colors. Have fun! (And please show me if it's fine with you, I'm very interested *w*)
(You can make their skin darker if you want, but please don't make it lighter.)
My Yuuson!
I am currently working on making a version of her for @twstfanblog 's manhwa AU, but then I realized that I never actually introduced her in the first place, so here I go, as well as a the start of a drawing I'm making for the AU. (Ignore the fact that she's mostly a frankenstein of a bunch of TWST characters, I can't draw that hands, hair or buttons to save my life-)
Name: Yuri
Surname: Akatsuki
Age: 18
Pronouns: She/they, but she doesn't care what anyone uses enough to correct them if they get it wrong
Appearance: She has very pale skin and curly white hair, as well as light blue eyes. She appears to be thin, but that's mostly because she exercises a lot.
Personality/Lore: Outwardly, Yuri is a very cheerful and kind person. She worked as a singer in her world before going to twisted wonderland, with most of her brand involving her staying in a childlike manor due to her starting out at a very young age. However, once you get a little closer to her, she has quite the daring and brazen personality, owning a motorbike and having multiple piercings and tattoos that she covers in front of the cameras. She can be a bit of a diva, and has quite the ego on her, but once she's willing to let someone get close enough to her, she's willing to do anything to keep them safe.
While she dislikes her father and stepmother, she is very close to her mother, full siblings, and half siblings, as well her her nephew. Knowing that one of her older sister would have been disowned upon having a child unmarried, all of her sister's agreed to pretend that they each were the mother, leading to all of them going to live with her mother permanently in another country, her brother's following as well. Yuri in particular had to turn to being home schooled for her senior year of high school, until she was brought to night raven college and had to attend as a first year. Her youngest (half) brother is 14, while her oldest (half) sister is 33, her being one of the younger siblings.
That's about it, if you have any questions or anything to add, just ask or comment! Here the start of the drawing, I'll post it once I finish;
Version of my Yuu for the manhwa AU!
This AU is by @twstfanblog , so all credit to them for that.
Name: Yuri
Surname: Akatsuki
Age: 18 (nearly 19)
Yuri is the daughter of a baron, though she is an Earless due to the title of her deceased husband. She was married off on her 18th birthday, although her husband died of poison two months later, officially declared as him having accidentally ingested a poison by accident that was found in a similar container and next to one of tea. It was labeled as rat poison very explicitly, and thus, they were never tried for murder. She is a very interesting socialite, with no one having any proof of their misdeeds, while rumors about her run wild in high society. She is the only married or widowed one of her siblings, and emerged after six months of locking herself in her estate with a two month old ‘son’ named Alyx that barely resembled them or her husband. In reality, he’s her nephew, though they claimed him as her son in order to protect her older sister and allow them to remain as a respected member of society. Yuri remains as a cheerful member of society and a good caretaker to Alyx, they really wish to travel around the world, and once their Alyx is old enough, she plans on running away to do so.
Here is the final drawing I made for her outfit, and a few different colored versions;
There are only two ways I can imagine Yuri and Yuu meeting and actually getting to know each other fairly well; Either by meeting at a tea party or something as children, or Yuri coming to Crewel for Alyx’s clothes, and her meeting Yuu while out of the room. I might do a drabble for one or both of those scenarios at some point, but they would be quite different. With the tea party, they would likely both be trying to hide from a boring party that some other noble hosting and running into each other, becoming playmates or sending letters. Or, if they met later on at a appointment when they were both older, they could become close acquaintances, but Yuri would likely try to keep distance unless Yuu tried to befriend her, as she knew she would leave the country in the next few years if all went well.
That’s it for now :) If anyone has any questions or comments, or wants to see the various other designs of dresses that I played around with before landing on this one, please feel free to comment or leave an ask!
Meeting 1 For the Manhwa AU!
This is one of the ideas I had as to how my Yuusona (Yuri) and the Yuu made by @twstfanblog in their Manhwa AU! I have a second idea that I need to finish and edit, but once they’re both out I’ll probably make a poll and whichever one wins will be the one I go with moving forward if I choose to make anything else within this AU. Enjoy!! :) (This was formatted in Google Docs, so it may look a bit odd on Tumblr)
______________________________________________________________
Yuri walked into the large estate, where the housemaid that collected them led her through the halls to a drawing room, where the older man waited. She rocked the child in her arms, Alyx stirring as she moved to curtsy to the Grand Duke.
“Good morning, Your Grace. Thank you for inviting me into your home.” Crewel nodded at that, giving her a light bow in return.
“Good morning to you as well. It is a pleasure to have you; I’ve heard many things from the other nobility about you and your son.” He said, gesturing to the baby in her hands, tufts of dark hair on his hair as he opened his brown eyes, a far cry from her or her late husband's appearance. Even so, she smiled.
“All good, I hope?”
“Of course, Lady Yuri.” He responded, smiling at her. “You are free to stay in the room with me as I do your son’s fitting, or you pay leave and allow your lady’s maid* to accompany him. I myself am a father, and the chance to relax with an infant is always a blessing.” He said the pleasant demeanor that was used with customers coming out. She nodded, smiling and handing over Alyx to the servant. After all, there was no reason to hang around if she was unneeded and her ‘son’ would be taken care of by someone better at caring for children, anyway.
“I’ll be on my way, then. I trust that you still have the designs that I sent to you to be edited the other day? I give you the final say on whatever you think is best for him. After all, ”
“Of course I do. Just return to get him before six.” He responded, as Yuri gave a final kiss on the cheek of her son, and a bow to Crewel before she left the room. That would give her two hours' worth of free time, maybe enough for a long nap in her carriage if she was able to get her coachman on board with it. Turning through the large corridors, attempting to find her way out of the beautiful trap that was the Crowley estate. Within the first few minutes, she was lost, not knowing the layout of the mansion that was most likely enchanted in some way. Or, at the very least, it was a bit too large for the front exit to be easily found from one of the many guest parlors**. Either way, she walked through winding hallways, gradually zoning around from the similar appearances of the various doors and columns, the only differences being the paintings she had long since found were only of dogs and crows.
At that moment, she bumped into a dark-haired woman, causing her to get pushed back. Between the expensive fabrics and dark hair, it was clear that this was Yuu, the only child of the Grand Duke. She curtsied low, as she was far above Yuri’s station as an Earless, an apology falling from her lips to smooth over any annoyance that could have been caused.
“I apologize, I wasn’t looking where I was going, Lady Yuu. I will be more careful next time.” The slightly older woman nodded and gave a slight bow in return.
“Very well, you may rise.” Yuri did as she asked, rising and meeting her eyes. She raised an eyebrow at the woman and narrowed her eyes, asking, “Who are you? You’re far from either of my father’s parlors.”
“I am Yuri from the Northern Earldom***. I came here today for my son’s fitting, but His Grace instructed me that I needn’t stay for the entire visit.” She answered, her voice calm and steady. Yuu seemed to accept this answer and nodded.
“Very well. Shall I show you to the door?”
“That would be much appreciated,” Yuri answered, allowing herself to be led by the other woman, staying a few steps behind her. They paused at a set of large doors, in which Yuri could only assume that the fabled library owned by Grand Duke Crowley resided.
“You can wait here for a moment. I need to get something.” She said, walking inside. Yuri stepped to the side, waiting for her to exit the doors. Alone for a moment, she yawned. Taking care of a newborn was tiring work even if she loved Alyx, and the lack of sleep was surely catching up to her. They would only close their eyes for a moment, just to rest them until Lady Yuu came back. She leaned against the wall, eyes closing softly. Just for a few moments…
______________________________________________________________
She sat up with a start, not recognizing the area that she was in. For a moment, she wondered what had happened, until she looked around and saw the lady in red reading across from her. She quickly stood up, smoothing over her dress and bowing as deeply as she could. Before she could speak, the seemingly bored woman said,
“It’s fine, I could carry you no problem. You’ve still got another half an hour before the appointment has to end, so you can keep resting.” She responded, looking up at her and closing her book. “You don’t talk or move or anything in your sleep, so it’s not a big deal to have you here while I read. You could do this at your son’s next fitting as well.” Yuri raised an eyebrow at that, and stood up straight, sensing something was off.
“Why would you suggest that? We have had no contact before today, and you have no incentive to befriend me just to let me sleep next to you for a random amount of time.” Yuu sighed, her book moving onto the table in front of her. There were on opposite settees with a table in the center, where a book and a tea set sat untouched. Yuu brought a teacup to her lips and took a sip before responding.
“If I tell you, will you agree to come here again?”
“That depends entirely on what you have to say.”
“I have multiple men attempting to woo me at the moment. Trying… Very often, in fact. By having a female friend I often have over, it might stop my suitors from trying during certain hours of the day.” Yuri sat back down, still a bit suspicious, but willing to hear her out the rest of the way. “You are clearly in need of some rest from taking care of an infant and your Earldom, and I’d like to have some peace and quiet for a couple of hours. It’s a situation in which everyone wins.” Yuri nodded, mulling it over.
“I have no problem with that. However, I can’t just use the Grand Duke as a free nanny, and I haven’t found one competent enough to be hired yet.” Yuu nodded at that, weighing options for the deal.
“I have a friend with a nephew that recently outgrew his nursemaid****. I’m sure that they can do good work, after all, they worked for the Sunset Savanna royal family.” She said, “If they can work for you, then you could reasonably stay with me for an hour or two every week to rest, without needing to worry about Alyx.”
“Yes, but if I have a nursemaid, I’ll have less work to do. By that logic, I’ll have no reason for such common visits.” Yuri countered, to which Yuu answered.
“I would have no reason to recommend you the nursemaid, then. Without their contact information and my urging, you would be unable to find them as they are still in the Sunset Savanna.” Yuri smiled at that and answered.
“Very well, that’s a good point. Do Saturday afternoons at tea time work for you? I can host this upcoming visit.” Yuu smiled back.
“Why yes, they do. I’ll give you the nursemaid’s information then. Need any help getting back to Papa’s parlor?”
“That would be greatly appreciated,” Yuri responded, standing at the same time Yuu did. Yuu walked out first, but they quickly followed, barely a step behind her. It seemed as though Yuri would have to prepare for a guest in the next few days, and maybe for a new friend in her life over the next few weeks.

*A ‘lady’s maid’ is the female equivalent of a valet or a noble’s personal servant. One could go with a noble lady to shop or go to a fitting as was done in this case.
**A parlor is where someone would host guests in the Victorian era. In the houses of the wealthy, there would often be more than one, with one for hosting guests and another for being with family. In this case, the fitting is taking place there, and both Crowley and Crewel have their own parlor to have their guests in.
***An Earldom is the land that an Earl owns and controls, like a dukedom or a kingdom.
****I’m referring to Cheka as he is 5-6 years old in canon, which is the age at which a child in the Victorian era would outgrow their nursemaid.
A drawing I did for my sister: Her Genshin/TWST OC, Yumi! (She asked not to be tagged so I won’t tag her :) )
Manhwa AU - Meeting 2
The second meeting I made for @twstfanblog 's Manhwa AU! Yu is the OC of @st4rz666. I’m going to post the poll to see which one I’ll use if I choose to do anything else with my OC in this AU either later today or tomorrow, but separately from this so that way both have the same chance of winning. As always, if anyone has any questions, comments, or anything else, leave a comment or ask! :)

Yuri slipped behind a tree, cupcake in hand as she hid from the voices of various other children in the garden they were playing in. She walked a little further, trying to look as casual as they could while speed walking just hidden from the sight of the main path. She continued walking through the estate of some noble she didn’t care to know the name of; Probably another Count or Earl, not that it mattered much where a low-ranking noble such as herself would go during a party. She took a bite of the cake, humming slightly at the taste as she went through the hedges.
They soon paused, listening to the sound of another two other young girls. Looking a bit closer, she was holding a hat with a ribbon around it, a bow, and ruffles on the hem. One of them was holding the accessory, a bit too underdressed for a noble attending a party with a very wealthy child from the frills of her gown, while the other had her hands on her hips as she spoke.
“It has to be a part of a seaside gown since the hat is made of cloth and it’s decorated enough that it must be worn out of the house! So whoever it came from, they must go near the sea often!” Said the slightly taller girl, seeming quite confident in her assessment. Meanwhile, the other was eyeing the accessory as if trying to solve a puzzle.
“Yes, but that doesn’t say who it belongs to.” She said, lifting it to her face. Yuri noticed the girl had mostly white hair with black streaks, the opposite of the child she was talking to. Yuri walked into the area they were in, the louder girl noticing her first.
“Who are you?” She asked, turning before staring at the treat in her hand, “Did you come from the party as well?” Yuri nodded.
“Yes, I did. They’re still giving out sweets if you want to go back now.” Yuri said, to which the girl with more white hair shook her head.
“We need to find the owner of this hat first. Do you know anyone who often goes to the seaside there?” Yuri shrugged.
“No. Most of the noble kids are boring or mean, so I don’t like talking to them. You could always try looking for a girl with a matching dress closer to the patio.” She answered as the girl with more black hair groaned.
“I know, but we can’t leave again if we go back now.” She said, before adding, “Oh, my name is Yuu Crowley. What’s yours?”
“I’m Yuri Akatsuki.” She answered, smiling. “It’s nice to meet you two!” She said, turning over to the second girl.
“I’m Yu. It’s nice to meet you as well.” She said, offering a weak smile. Yuri, once more taking note of the faded yellow of the plainer dress, pulled the hat from her hands and onto her head.
“And now you’re a noble like the two of us!” Yuu put her hands on her hips at that, saying.
“She always was one! Besides, you put a saffron yellow next to a pale yellow, with nothing to tie them together; That’s a stupid combination!” Yuri nodded, and ‘oohed’ slightly.
“Well then, I’m sorry, Yu. But I’m not sorry about the hat, I think it looks nice.” She said, sticking her tongue out at Yuu. The two continued to bicker for a while, occasionally asking Yu a question or pausing their disagreements to discuss something else until the sun had started setting.
“In no world would rosemary tea go better with chocolate scones than-” Yuu was cut off by the deep voice of an older man calling out. He sounded annoyed, as though this had happened enough times it was better to complain than try to change it.
“Puppy!” He explained, happening upon the area the children were in as the girl in question stood up from where the three had taken seats on the ground. “Did you run off here for the whole party? All the attendants were worried sick when they realized you were missing.” He said, to which the child rolled her eyes, her father returning the favor. He then looked over at Yuri, giving a quick and light bow, her giving a curtsy in return. “Hello, Lady Yuri.”
“And hello to you, Your Grace.” She said, not bothering to ask the man’s name once she saw the unique hair color that the man had. She then said, “Do you know if my mother is here for me?” He nodded.
“I believe I saw her when I entered; She was the lady with silver hair, I assume?” When she nodded, Crewel moved to talk to Yu. “Would you like a ride back to your house? We have some extra space in our carriage.” She nodded.
“Yes, Sir.” He hummed in response, letting Yu hand him the hat. “We found this on the ground. Do you know who it belongs to?”
“Hm… I don’t believe so, it’s not from a designer that I know well. If no one’s come looking for it, simply put it back where you found it. The owner will retrace their steps back here eventually.” He said, as Yu nodded and put it onto a bench near them while Yuu went up to her father. “You shouldn’t touch things that belong to someone else, and you definitely shouldn’t put them onto your head. You could get lice, and if it doesn’t belong to you, the person who lost it might not know that you took it and it could get even harder for them to find.”
“Papa, let’s go now. I have a book at home that I want to read with Yu.” She said as Yu moved to stand beside the pair.
Meanwhile, Yuri walked off, towards the location of the party. She went behind her mother, tugging on the sleeve of her dress. She smiled, taking her daughter’s hand as she led her out of the estate, already saying her goodbyes to the hosts. She smiled as they entered the carriage, patting the hair of her firstborn as she fiddled with her hands and dress.
“You seem extra excited today. What’s the occasion?” She asked, mirth in her voice. “Did one of the boring noble ladies finally do something that you think is interesting?” Yuri shook her head.
“Even better. I met these two girls, and they were hid- hanging out in the garden where I went, too!” Her mother raised an eyebrow as she continued, recounting the events of the day with the excitement only a child knows. She just had to know their families to open contact. Hopefully, they were also counts or maybe barons, so it would be easy for her to reach out…
“And who are those friends?”
“Yu and Yuu! I don’t know what title Yu has, but Yuu is the daughter of the grand duke! But, I think she’s silly because she can’t appreciate how rosemary tea is the best! Oh, and-”

Yuri’s (My Yuu’s) Mother
She’s one of my favorite OCs, despite how I’ve only really mentioned her as a side note up until now. Happy I get to share her :)
Name: Yue
Surname: Akatsuki
Maiden name: Gui
Main Inspirations: Princess Kaguya, Chang’e, and The Little Mermaid
Lore, folktale version:
Yue was a beautiful woman, who some used to say was born from starlight and the call of a crane. But her parents were old and had no sons, so she had to stay in the village as a maiden to take care of them. The jewel of a small village, trapped in a golden cage.
One day, a young nobleman came to the village while traveling. When he saw her, he fell in love instantly, proposing to the stop. Unable to outright reject him, she said “Come to fetch me when you have retrieved a branch made of gold and leaves made of jewels; If you can do that, you will win the right to my heart.”
He did not return, but there came a second noble in his place. This time, she told him to get a holy lyre played by a wind god. He returned with a counterfeit. She turned him away, and two more like him soon followed.
The emperor came to visit her one day, asking her “Love, if you marry me, I will make your beauty known throughout all the land.” She refused, saying that she did not need her beauty to be known, nor did she need to be confined to the palace.
He returned the next day, asking “Love, if you marry me, I will make you the richest woman in the land, and you will have a palace in every city.” She refused, saying that if she left her family that would be the same as leaving her heart.
He did not leave that day, and he told her “Love, if you do not marry me, I will set the village alight, and you will not marry anyone.” And she could not refuse him.
That night, she went to the river, weeping crystal tears of sorrow. She heard gentle whispers, follow, “Why do you cry, my dear?”
She answered, “I must be wed to a man who will burn those who refuse him.” The whispers seemed to hum, and told her;
“Drink the river water at the source, and he will forget every thought of you. But if you get too greedy, you will get more than you hoped for.”
Yue nodded and traveled to the source, finding a spring with water clearer than crystals and shimmering like moonlight. She held the water in her hands, taking a gulp. But she thought to herself, she could only fit so much in her palm, why wouldn’t she bring some home in case it wasn’t enough? But she had no vial on her to carry any. In worry, she took another sip after sip, and she prayed that she would be forgotten by the man.
She went back down to the village and soon reached her home. She knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Knocking again, her hand passed through the door. She walked through the door slowly, edging towards her room, as though approaching a wounded animal. As she entered, it was full of not her bed and clothes, but instead was dedicated to the storage of bamboo stalks and her father’s old bows. She ran to the window and tried to open it, to see if the garden was as she left it, but instead ran through the wall into a field of brambles. As she started once more, she heard the whispers again. She sobbed and choked out, “And what have you done? Come to mock me?”
“You were told not to get greedy, and yet you drank handfuls upon handfuls.” The whispers responded, “But the river is generous, it only tries to give you what you want. Take a few gulps for something new, and take some for to be drank when you feel most lonely. But in return, you must give up something as precious as what you desire.” But again, she did not stay to heed the whispers and warnings, running to find the roots of the crystal river once more.
She ran to it and drank straight from the source, her tears mixing with the river as she began to glow and lift, far away from the world she called her home. As she arose, the whispers asked, “And why do you drink, but only to fulfill yourself? You wished only to be remembered.”
“Yes, I only wish to be remembered. But why does that make me greedy? I am nothing but a poor girl, and yet the emperor will erase me for my refusal. Why should I not be remembered if he can?” The whispers giggled at that and told her.
“Silly child. You are no longer a girl; You are like me. Rise to the moon, sweet one, and remember that even reflected light looks lovely on a pond.”
Lore, the reality of the fable:
I understand that I’m going to be acting like I’m contradicting myself in this section versus in the earlier, but in my version of our world for TWST, I use Yue as an actual mythological figure, which will tie more into Yuri (my Yuu’s) lore later. All you need to know for context is that the fable heard above is just that; Folklore based off of events that happened in that world. It’s why there are a few details like her being told to save some of the water, there being storage for her father’s bows, or her being stuck in a ‘golden cage’; It’s meant to show the fact that this myth has been altered and changed over time, a little detail that fits well with the context.
So, what happened was that Yue was a very beautiful woman who started to get proposals from various people, but gave them all impossible tasks and then refused them. Unable to tell the emperor himself that anything he brought was fake, she instead outright refused him, but he continued trying for her hand. Eventually, he got tired of it and decided to force her into it by threatening to kill everyone in her village. However, before he could take her to the capital, she went to go find the fabled magical crystal buried inside a lake near her. It was part of a magic pen that had been “lost” there because it was sent away by someone right before their friend overblotted. However, being unable to use the magic or know what it actually was, Yue chose to eat the stone, believing that either she would be able to get away from her suitor or die trying. In the end, she wished for her to be remembered pleasantly by her family and that they wouldn’t be hurt by the emperor, causing her magic to trigger and send her to the moon, the only place where she could be sure he would never find her.
Once she came there, there were already beings living on the moon. They require a lot of context because they’re a different kind of being, but to summarize, they called themselves seraphs and were humanoid creatures that were reborn every time they died and could fly. She lived with them, fell in love with one, got an immortality potion, and eventually had three children, twin girls and a son. However, realizing that the children had no wings or magic of their own, she chose to go back down to Earth for a little while and pretend to be a normal human, eventually ending up marrying the man who she pretended was Yuri’s father and helping take care of his other kids from his ex-wife.
Now that her children have gone missing, she’s stayed on Earth, deciding to keep looking for her here and to take care of the kids until someone notices that she’s not aging.
That’s all for now :) As always, leave a comment or ask if you have anything to add or anything else that you want to know
Manhwa AU Playdate Mini Fic
Yuri swung her feet back and forth, looking at the white Mary Jane shoes she had been forced into by her mother. She pouted, looking at the much older woman fretting with the flower vase in their parlor.
“Moooom!” She cried, her hands clutching the lacey ruffles of the sage dress she had on. “I don’t wanna sit down and talk. I wanna go plaaaay! With my friiieeeends!” They whined as Yue shook her head,
“Dear, you’re meeting the Grand Duke’s only child. You couldn’t possibly make her do anything that she doesn’t want, ah…” She moved over to her daughter and clutched her hands in hers, kneeling next to the couch. “This is very important, okay? Lady Yuu is a very powerful young lady, and you must make sure she’s happy at all times. I’m sorry that you have to sit still for so long, but we’ve been practicing this, remember? If you need to fidget…” She asked, smiling as her daughter pouted.
“I just pick up a teacup, I know…” She said, “But what if they want to go play?”
“Then you can go play. Just remember that-” She was cut off by a knock on the door. Quickly straightening, Yue looked over to the door. “Come in.” She called, to which the Grand Duke Crewel and his daughter came in, followed by another child with mostly white hair. She quickly curtsied, to which Yuri copied. “A pleasure to see you, Your Grace.”
He gave a short bow in reply, responding “The pleasure is all mine. It’s nice to finally meet you, Lady Yue, and to see your daughter again.” He beckoned Yuu forth, Yu following behind her, as Yue went to stand near Crewel. Yuu was holding a big book of what seemed to be fables, which she placed down on the table.
“Allow me to give you a tour of the gardens, Your Grace. The children seem to already have a good idea of what they wish to do.” She said, to which Crewel nodded, leaving with her. Meanwhile, Yuri looked at the other two girls. They both sat on the couch across from her, a table of snacks and tea between them.
“I brought this book to read.” Yuu proclaimed, to which Yu nodded in return, giving a smile as a greeting. Yuri nodded too, but then lit up.
“Can we act them out? Like a play?” Yuu narrowed her eyes,
“What do you mean?”
“Well, you read the story, and then Yu and I act out what the characters are doing! It’s more fun with more people, but we can just use my dolls. Oh, and costumes!” Yuu brought out the book, flipping through the chapters. Yu then spoke up,
“I think that sounds like fun.” Yuu, seeming to consider the opinion of her friend, nodded.
“Very well. We shall act out a fairytale.” They said, flipping back to the chapters. “Which one do you want to do? The Ghost Bride, Tropical Turbulence, The White Rabbit Fest?”
“Tsumderland!” Yuri called out, to which Yu nodded, and Yuu looked up at her.
“Okay! We’re going to need costumes, and we need to pick what characters we’re going to be!” She said, putting her hands on her hips. “Let me think… Oh, I know! Yu, you should be…”
——————————————————————————
“Your grounds are quite lovely, Lady Yue,” Crewel said as they walked back towards the room the pair had left the children in. “It has been nice to talk to you as well, but I believe I must get my daughter and go now.” She nodded, opening the door.
“Of course, You Grace. They should be right in here-” She was interrupted by the Grand Duke’s daughter, running up to her father. She was once sitting beside them with a book on the floor and a notepad on her lap, the other two crowded next to her. Yu wore a silky pink gown with a pearl bracelet attempting to be balanced on her head in place of a crown, while Yuri was sporting a gray dress and a likely stolen wooden training sword. Yuu looked up at her father, a serious look in her eyes.
“Papa, we need better costumes!” She said, quickly standing. She rushed over, handing him the notebook. “We have a princess dress, but no tiara! And a knight in a noble lady’s dress; He needs armor, papa! And don’t even get me started on our first play, no one had any ears for the little lion-tsum or horns for the dragon-tsum! It was a disaster, Papa, a disaster!” She cried, sounding more frustrated at the lack of attention to detail than actually sad. He opened the notebook, looking through the list of costumes needed and the notes of sizes that she knew for her friends.
Crewel took a deep breath, “Why don’t you work on refining these designs, and then I can make them? I’ll explain more about how to in the carriage.” He responded, patting her head. “Why don’t you and Yu go get changed back into your clothes for now, and then we’ll take her home?” He asked, to which she nodded. Yu came over, holding two dresses.
“I’ve got them here.” Yuri came behind her and grabbed her shoulders,
“Come on, I’ll show you where you can go change again!” She said laughing, Yuu following close behind them. Yue sighed, as Crewel nodded.
“Truly, these children will be the death of me…”

Basically this fic:
Yuri: I want to perform a play.
Yu+Yuu: That sounds fun.
Yuu, an hour later: This has been a fashion and costuming disaster. My father will hear about this.
This is based on an actual game I used to play with my sisters where we wrote and acted out a “movie” named “Max’s Love”. It was made entirely in our bedrooms and my parent's bathroom for some reason, with nothing but iMovie. It’s since been lost to whoever's phone we made this on being replaced, but I think we made a sequel and had plans for a trilogy. I remember that we had the youngest of us dress up as a boy and play the love interest, and we decided our best “boy clothes” was a shirt with a giant rooster on it. While none of us realized it then, looking back on it was a wonderful bit of irony.
I might end up jumping around with the ages of characters for a bit after this just because writing them as kids is fun but would probably get repetitive after this, but I’ve been hyper-fixating on this AU for a bit now so I doubt I’ll move on for a little while. Yu will probably end up here most of the time because both Yuri and Yuu have very brash personalities as kids, and getting a slightly quieter/calmer kid to be there helps me keep the plot together and not end up with a page worth of children pointlessly arguing. Also, I just like Yu and I want to write about her.

Dress Design!
Even though no one has asked, these are all of the processes that I went through before landing on the final design of the dress Yuri uses in the Manhwa AU. Designing ball gowns has been my hobby since I was in middle school (maybe earlier) so I really wanted to talk about it. Credits for the AU to @twstfanblog
This one was the first I did and my second favorite. You’ll notice that I stole the sleeves and used them for the final dress, I just couldn’t figure out how to do it a second time. I ended up deciding against this dress because the purple and blue looked too childish for the more mature personality she has as an adult in this AU, while Yuu was wearing red as far as I could tell and so I wanted to use a different color. The black I liked in theory, but I didn’t like how the pattern turned out and it looked far worse without it.
This was the second one I made, which got rejected mostly because I didn’t like the way the collar turned out and also because it looked too much like Briar Rose’s (Aurora’s) dress in pink and blue, and the black one looked like it was just one shade and I didn't like that. I also think that the blue one had a good concept with the tulle feeling over an underskirt, but in practice, it didn’t look very good in practice. At the very least, though, it helped me narrow down what color would look best in the final version.
This was the second to last one that I did, which I rejected because it looked too much like emo snow white. I was trying to base it off of Victorian wedding dresses, but I guess my favorite old Disney movie snuck its way in there. There’s not much to say about this dress; It had many of the same themes as the first, but was just a hint more historically accurate. I did, however, like the pearls and I kept them in my final design, especially as I tend to pair the character with a lot of pearl motifs whenever I'm thinking of her.
And finally, my last dress design, and the one I went with! I chose this one because it was everything that I needed; Fancy enough for nobility but simple enough for a former Countess, pearls, a medium to dark shade that makes the character look mature, and those sleeves which I loved so much in the original design. I still made other versions of the dress because I was still hoping for black to somehow work and I liked how red looked, but in the end, they never stood a chance against the blue one to begin with.
That's it :) As always, leave a comment or ask if you have any questions or anything to add!
Hi do you have any references / drawings for your character Yuri? I found you through @twstfanblog and since I've been following their story of their manhwa au, I wanted to draw your character as well!
Hello!! I do not have many, but I do have one little drawing of her on paper that I’ll include here;
Other than that:
I made a post about the various dress designs that I made on the way to the final version of the dress that you’re free to use for her to get a feeling for her style in the AU ( https://www.tumblr.com/meloyellow236/761413791164628992/dress-design?source=share )
@st4rz666 has made a couple of drawings with my character drawn as both a child and adult. I’ll link one of them here. ( https://www.tumblr.com/st4rz666/759910053504581632/omg-theyre-both-so-pretty-i-love-how-you-did?source=share )
Finally, I did an intro post to her a while back, which I will also link. It really just shows her in her school uniform via a Frankensteining of various characters, but it does include some details for her hair that aren’t included elsewhere. That’s all that I have for her at the moment! I’m not the best when it comes to proportions, so if you have any other questions on body type or the like, please just ask. Thank you for wanting to draw her, I look forward to seeing how you interpret her character!! :)
I already introduced her, but… I found this temple to show your OC’s and it’s so cool! So, introducing Yuri, a second time! + Mood board for her :)

• Despite being very sophisticated and courteous, Elise is still blunt and sarcastic at times. Ace and Deuce are usually the main victims of her cheeky comments. Grim gets special treatment because he's her favorite.
• Elise is a distant person who's prone to daydreaming and likes to follow her whims. She's dedicated to her classes at Night Raven College only because she likes the magical setting, and she'll still skip classes as she pleases.
• She loves art. Elise has a scrapbook with pages consisting of pictures and paintings related to the dormitories and her friends. She has horrible posture because of how often she's hunched over her drawings.
• Elise occasionally works at the Mostro Lounge and assists Sam around his shop so she can earn thaumarks. Floyd likes to make her shifts difficult by pestering her, but she likes his company anyway.
• She is in the Equestrian Club and rides a white stallion named Frabjous. He's a very docile horse.
• Elise has a heavy penchant for sweets. She always attends unbirthday parties when she can because she likes being able to chat with her friends and share pastries.
