I will miss you Wildstar. You have enriched my life tremendously. Because of Wildstar, I got to meet some incredible people. I even made some friends too! (Sorry we don’t really talk guys!) Wildstar will always be in my heart and I will forever love my Chua.
But cheers to all those good memories over the years. Thank you for making such a fantastic game Carbine. I wish all the luck to each and every one of you glorious people.
Hey anyone who plays or has played wildstar
With the game shutting down make sure you get any picture of things you want to remember, get character refs, screenshot houses, any architecture you liked in game, anything at all, get it before it’s gone.

My heart hurts at the news of Wildstar being shut down and Carbine Studios shutting their doors for good. Just- Wow. I think I’m in that still numb state of finding out the news, but also knew it was inevitable. Still, despite all of the management issues, being a new studio, and releasing a fresh unknown IPA? Carbine did amazing things with Wildstar and no one can take that away from them. Wildstar is honestly my favorite MMO I’ve ever played and I can’t see it changing. From Alpha stress tests, to when the servers finally go dark Nexus will always be a place of wonder to me. The energized combat, gorgeous and vibrant levels, tongue in cheek humor, top-notch housing where Carbine let their players get as creative as possible, and the overall feel of the game as a whole has left a lasting impression on me and I’ve enjoyed all of my time playing Wildstar. I want to remind everyone that this isn’t the end. Not for your stories, your characters, or the friendships you have made. None of the stories you’ve written or the bonds you formed are going away. The house plots might be gone and the servers quiet, but none of those memories are gone. I certainly had some of my best MMO and RP experiences in Wildstar. I created my favorite OC, made entire zones in housing, met countless awesome people and made plenty of new friends along the way. hell, Wildstar helped me find the guy I’m going to end up marrying in a few years. So yeah, it was an awesome time and I don’t regret any of it. I’m not going to stop doodling and writing Sly or my other trash OCs or musing what they might be up to. I’m not going to close my Wildstar tumblrs and I’m certainly not going to stop enjoying all the creativity and wonderful art people have put out. It’s all bittersweet right now, but I’m not going anywhere. I’m gonna keep doing my thing and I’ll happily lend writing, plotting, level design, or RP to those still wanting to explore Nexus in new projects be them forums, RP groups, private servers, or what have you.
Alright, everyone else is doing it so here we go.... Wildstar was a game I accidentally stumbled upon in mid 2014. I was scrolling through the interwebs when I saw my first picture of a Chua. I was intrigued. Then I found out the name where he was from, Wildstar. I found out there was a beta going on and I hoped onto that train as fast as I could. I was able to play some of the beta and boy did I enjoy every minute of it! It was one of the only things that was able to make me happy at the time. Take my mind off things. My friends hurt me and didn't even care, my depression was on a down slope, but that's a story for another day. There are still so many things I want to do in Wildstar that I will never have the chance to even start. Socially anxiety was my biggest enemy here. I made my first friends in a long time (you know who you are!) but I was too nervous to talk to them, I really regret that, especially now. I was also never able to get into RP. That was something I really wanted to do, but when I went to do it I chickened out. But back to the topic at hand: Wildstar was the best thing in my life at the time I started all the way till the end. I will always cherish this game and the moments I can never forget. Really wish it didn't have to come to an end but I know Wildstar will never truly die. It will always have a place in my heart. PS My Chua stays with me NCSoft! Also, sorry for the long post guys! ^^
Wildstar Collaboration

Not the best thing to start this, but eh… it’s something XD.
So I was thinking a bit about how to put so many artists under the roof:
- Skill level or style is not important. You loved the game? Feel free to join. :)
-Please only draw one character. So many people want to enter and we’ll run out of space really quick.
- Please draw the character in your style, line and color it as you wish. The more different everything looks, the better. ;-)
- Pose and interaction with other artist friends is totally up to you. You can even work together if your characters want to hug each other, for example. The final product should look like a group picture or class photo. Characters might stack a bit or slightly overlap on the final work. Maybe this helps a bit finding your pose.
- Create a transparent PNG of your character, not less than 2000x2000px. Above is totally fine.
-When everything is done, please send it to retromissile@gmail.com, so I can put everything together for the final picture.
Deadline is 26th of October 2018.
If I forgot something or you have questions, feel free to ask. :) I’m pretty sure this will look amazing and a great tribute to such an amazing game. Can’t wait to see all your awesome characters

Wildstar - “Kuneho the Wanderer”
Drew a pic for a Wildstar collaboration by Retromissile but I wanted to post a solo version as well.
In-game, Kuneho is adept at both sword (Warrior) and gunplay (Spellslinger), but I ran out of time/got lazy in making the gun, so I just have the sword here.
Finally! It’s a shame to see Wildstar go, but on the other hand it is amazing to see how the community sticks together. We had hopes till the end, and it’s so nice to see that we still have, now with the news about the museum preserving abandoned games. Who would have expected that so many people would gather and put so much effort into this farewell collaboration for this awesome game. I can’t describe how overwhelmed I am about all the amazing art of you guys. :D BTW feel free to upload your artwork now, if you haven’t already. ;-D
In case I didn’t place your character near someone else, I’m deeply sorry. In the end, time pressure was real and I probably forgot one or two requested placements. It were just too many entries and I don’t want to start about the technical difficulties on this. ^^; Using brushes was impossible, which is my excuse for these weird shadows. XD
