Where The Stars Fell - Tumblr Posts
@just-1other-nerd
I put together these podcast recommendations based on books a while ago, enjoy (they also work the other way around, I highly recommend these books, I made it my life's mission to make people read radio silence, it's SUCH a great book and it got me into Welcome to Night Vale and podcasts in general. Thank you Alice Oseman)
i'm never good at summarizing things but I tried my best lol
With the Amelia Project, Where the Stars Fell, and Mission Rejected coming out on fridays, I think Friday is my new favorite day!
Listening to Where the stars fell as one raised mormon is so funny. What do you mean Michael isn’t Adam?
I kinda want where the stars fell talked about Mormons. even for a little bit. It would be so funny to explain what that in terms of Mormon culture being "we don't talk about angels all that much" to "Angels are people who aren't currently alive," to "Oh yeah btw people from the 1800s, aliens are real" I think about it a lot.
The last 3 minutes of where the stars fell had me like: WHAT??? WHAT?? BRIAN DAVID GILBERT???????????
I have no idea what episode of a pod to listen to first. Brian David Gilbert [jesus] or Faking the death of... The bible???
I have been fighting myself for the past 4 ish days... but I'm finally going to say it. Sorry for being the um actually guy... Joseph was a stonemason. The word they translated into carpenter was the word τέκτων which translates to mason. Sorry for being annoying
Satan’s usually pretty chill in the way he runs Hell. Today he’s scrambling to make it look as miserable as possible because God is soon to visit
I found a where the stars fell reference in Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
IT'S HAPPENING AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
keep an eye on your feeds on tuesday, detectives...
The thing about Judeo christiaan urban fantasies like Good Omens and Where the Stars Fell is that sometimes I can't tell what's a thing the writer has made up or is something that isn't taught to me, being raised mormon
For those of you who were recoiling over the lore implications of Fawx and Stallion being canon to Where the Stars Fell, tangentially making Fawx and Stalion canon to The Amelia Project, let me help. The reason Sherlock and Watson arent voiced by Jonathan Sims and Alan Burgon Respectively must have been because Kozlowski Changed their vocal cords to disguise Arthur and "Carl" to make them different. As for the whole BB being Jack the ripper. Don't worry I have you covered. Because posession is a thing, BB must have posessed "Carl" to do the dirty deeds!!
WAIT FRICK THE PERSON "CARL" BEAT AT POKER WAS EXPLICITLY STATED TO BE A MAN NOOOOOOOOOOO I WAS SO CLOSE

Based of where the stars fell to say Xstian.
I’m shopping for a new audio drama now that @re-dracula is over, but I can’t find any! Re: Dracula was so well done that everything else is suffering by comparison! Clunky sound effects, unimpressive backing music, sloppy editing, disappointing voice actors… *dramatic sigh*

yall have got to be more normal about Southern people and I'm not kidding. enough of the Sweet Home Alabama incest jokes, enough of the idea that all Southerners are bigots and rednecks, and enough of the idea that the South has bad food. shut up about "trailer trash" and our accents and our hobbies!
do yall know how fucking nauseating it is to hear people only bring up my state to make jokes about people in poverty and incestuous relationships? how much shame I feel that I wasn't born up north like the Good Queers and Good Leftists with all the Civilised Folk with actual houses instead of small cramped trailers that have paper thin walls that I know won't protect me in a bad enough storm?
do yall know how frustrating it is to be trans in a place that wants to kill you and whenever you bring it up to people they say "well just move out" instead of sympathizing with you or offering help?
do yall understand how alienating it is to see huge masterposts of queer and mental health resources but none of them are in your state because theyre all up north? and nobody seems to want to fix this glaring issue because "they're all hicks anyways"
Southern people deserve better. we deserve to be taken seriously and given a voice in the queer community and the mental health space and leftist talks in general.
I think eventually I'm going to create a diagram of every podcast that is canon to other podcasts. Like how Fawx and Stallion is Technically canon to Kalila Stormfire's Economical Magick Services because of the Where the Stars Fell having a crossover with Fawx and Stallion and The Amelia Project, and how TAP had a crossover with KSEM.

butch and british? what could be better than that?
my uncle was somewhat of a rascal. we were hanging out on the roof of his barn when i was ten, and we saw some shooting stars. he told me they were angels carrying messages from god. then he handed me his old hunting rifle and taught me how to nick one out of the sky, even when it was travelling all fast like that, and how to triangulate its location — taking me out in his rusty truck down dirt roads, unerring and unceasing, until we saw that gleaming lantern. he pocketed the note from god and took me down to a pinboard where he was working on deciphering the language with his friend who was a linguistics major but got kicked out of grad school. after they shook hands, they held on for just a bit too long and i started wondering why my aunt doesn’t live with my uncle anymore, but then my uncle took me back up stairs and taught me how to fry the angel up real nice, halo and all. it was tasty
So I am currently on my first re-listen of Where the Stars Fell, and I am currently on episode 17. So here is my head canon: besides the normal audiobook, Lucy eventually releases a deluxe version of the audiobooks, with only two differences:
-the dedication is “For Edison”
-and it is narrated by her
just as a bit of a counter part to the deluxe version of the books with the blue end cards
