Wax Seal - Tumblr Posts
I wish postcards were cool again. Handwritten letters, with scribbles and small doodles at the corner of the paper. Wax-sealed old envelopes. Possibly some dried flowers and old photographs inside.
These small and outdated but still meaningful details...sometimes it takes so little to show someone that you care. Beyond all the messaging apps and the selfies we share.
So many friendships have lost their taste because of these.
Technology has improved a lot, but sometimes going back in time would bring that lost taste back, because there isn't a better thing than holding a letter or postcard in your hands, saving it year after year, more than a message that gets lost in the abyss of the internet.
First time wax-sealing an envelope! Did I do well?
(The envelope is DIY too)

Wax Seal Charms
From simple love spells to glamours and hexes, wax seal charms are a powerful and versatile tool for any witchβs arsenal. Small, inconspicuous, and easy to hide, these simple charms are useful for nearly any type of magick.
First, you will need a smooth work surface (I used the bottom of a ceramic bowl). Fold a small envelope from a square of paper. You want the envelope to be the same size as or smaller than the wax seal to ensure complete wax coverage.
Next, write your intent (or draw a sigil) on the inside of the envelope. Keep it simple or write very small.
You can add a small pinch of herbs (or a taglock) if you like, but try not to use too much or the charm wonβt flatten and may not seal correctly.
Once youβve added your herbs, fold the envelope shut. You may need to squish it a little to keep it closed.
Pour your wax over the envelope, making sure to cover any open edges, and place your stamp in the molten wax. Apply light pressure for a few moments and then allow to cool.
Once completely cool, remove your stamp and peel the charm off your work surface.
And voila! A small, portable charm that can easily be slipped into a purse or wallet unnoticed.
The first of my wax-sealed letters β to a dear friend. It came out better than I hoped.

one of my favorite things about writing letters is adding my personal seal; The A comes from my fathers side; Arroyo and the L comes from my mother; Lima. Though my first name is German, both my parents immigrated to the states around the 80βs from Guatemala. {mine}
