Everyone should be allowed to wear their boyfriend's clothes, except for Patroclus. That guy should be kept far away from anything cloth or armor that has ever brushed even an inch of Achilles.

“Men don’t cry”

WRONG

Odysseus cried every morning of his 7 year stay with Calypso. He sobbed on he beach for 2555 days in a row. Do you know how much of a commitment that is?

And do you know how MANLY Odysseus is? The man who was a soldier for ten years, killing for his family. The man who fought giants. The man with muscles so impressive the author had to describe his ‘boxers build’ and ‘rippling thighs’ constantly? The man who easily strung a bow with a 300 pound draw weight, then shot it perfectly? And then proceeded to easily slaughter 100+ grown men?

Never say men don’t cry. Be like Odysseus.

My favorite headcanon about gods and the mortals is that gods never understand how fragile humans are and don't understand how deep god's touches go through mortal's skin. (or simply don't care)

Athena will make Diomedes's grip on his spear stronger pushing his fingers tighter and almost breaking his bones. She fixes his position making his stance perfect, but human's body was never able to get into position this perfect so his muscles will be tearing and his bones will be cracking just to be instantly healed. When Athena removes her hands, his body will be covered in bruises.

Odysseus will always feel burning and at the same time freezing gaze on his back while Athena watches him across the battlefield. His ears will be filled with her breath and whisper, that will ring in his head long after she ended speaking. She will help him shot an arrow, and he will feel his joints moving in the way they were never supposed to move.

When Apollo turns all the spears and arrows away from the Hector he will still feel them digging into his flash. Apollo will raise him from the dust again and again, and Hector won't be able to stand without hearing god's voice in his ears and feeling god's burning touch on his shoulders. He closes his eyes and still sees the light.

Helen will stand tall to speak up to Paris, and Aphrodite will place her hands on Helen's shoulders to remind her of goddess's presence and this flaming grip will weight as heavy as ten years of war. Aphrodite will wash Helen's face so her skin will shine brighter and eyes will haunt every man in the room, and the only thing Helen feels is her skin freezing from the coldness of Aphrodite's hands.

And those touches won't end with battle or even with war. Every time Diomedes fights he will feel his body taking the exact position Athena once made him in, his limbs will come into shape they were never meant to be in, without deforming cause Athena already fixed them, once she already designed him according to her vision. Every time Odysseus lies his words will echo in his head just like Athena's words did before, every time he uses a bow, arrow in his hands will feel like a burning torch or like an ice, and his joints and tendons will sing in a perfect copy of the song Athena made them perform inside his body on the battlefield. Every time Helen will square her shoulders to feel herself more confident she will feel burning touch on her chin pushing it up and freezing breath in her hair. She will look at her husband and shadow of tight grip on her shoulders will become shadow of sharp nails digging into her skin, holding her in place.

Even dying at Achilles's hands and falling to the ground Hector would still hear an order in his head telling him to get up and fight, his own blood running down a neck will feel like Apollo's hands forcing him back to his feet.

No mortal ever forgets a god's touch.

The other day me and my grandparents were watching a documentary about the Illiad, made by the Louvre. It tells the story with art, and sometimes with crappy animation.

Anyway, at some point they talked about how Achilles and Patroclus share a tent, and showed an animated scene of the visit of Odysseus and co. to their tent.

There. Was. Only. One. Bed

Having read TSOA, i asked my grandfather, “hey, why’s there only one bed ?”

He smirked and replied with “why do you think?”

And casually mentioned later that ancient greeks were pretty GayTM.

I’ve also been listening to songs by Rufus Wainwright , on recommendation from my grandfather. In Going To A Town, Rufus sings “Do you really think you go to hell for having loved?”

And ofc that triggered my gaydar so i looked him up, and, surprise surprise, he’s married to Jörn Weisbrodt (a guy).

So with all of this in mind, i think my grandpa has a highly functional gaydar and is using it to recommend music and stuff to me.

Written in the wind are my thoughts Wishes and dreams without thought. Birds of wax and ice I dreamt. Slumbering in gray stone nights Of flickering dawn Flowery and moist arrive, dry to the touch. As the tears you weep until I arrive. Wishing for a string and dream world A sweet lie Of inexistant light Destroyed city, renewing night. Smoking towering heights signal of the slumber felt upon. A seed, a restrained idea Rebelling against the ablazed Flying high among the bones and blood shed Punching the ground with it´s roots Rebloom the disaster, it´s call: While the weeds are grazed The tree is high upon the hill, the king and it´s throne reborned.

The poem is a look into Odysseus´s mind observing the devastation of Troy´s fall

I leave the cursive part to the imagination, the seed could be reffering to Astyanax ( Troy´s princes are dead but not him) or could be refering to Odysseus, as surrounded by so much missery, so something awakens in him...

Sorry if the quality is bad, I´m a noob and English is not my first language.(。_。)

But if you think you like and want to help me polish my abilities, thanks!!!!!!!! o(* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ

Now Odysseus getting inked is one of the most random and in a way cute headcannons ever! 😆

Like:

Agamemnon: Hey, Menelaus. Where is Odysseus? Cannot find him anywhere

Menalaus: Probably by the ships. It was resupply day today.

Agamemnon: But that was hours ago. What on earth is he doing?

Menelaus: Yeah you are probably right let's go and check it out

*They find Odysseus on the beach sitting on a rock while a Scythian probably covered in tattoos of his people is tattooing his upper arm*

Agamemnon: Odysseus, what in the gods' names are you doing?

Odysseus: Oh, can't you see? I am getting a tattoo from this man. He is very good actually.

Agamemnon: Seriously?! We are at war and this is a military camp!

Odysseus: Don't worry, he's cool. I checked.

Menelaus: But weren't you wounded a couple of days ago? Surely shouldn't you be taking it easy? I know they call you "equal to gods" but you ain't immortal

Odysseus: No worries. I am accustomed to pain. This is nothing.

Agamemnon: Even so! That is not a king's behavior. What is wrong with you?!

Odysseus: Why not? Besides look!

*shows his half-done olive branch tattoo*

Odysseus: Olive for my homeland, flowers for my wife and the bittersweet fruit is my dear Telemachus. I want my family with me. I might die tomorrow and my body will not be buried to my land. I want my family with me to the funeral pyre...

Menelaus: *sniffing loudly* You know, brother, you have to admit that is the most fucking adorable thing ever!

Agamemnon: Humph! Whatever! *turns around to hide a manly tear*

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Even better imagine the funny and adorable interaction with Penelope! Hahahahaha like:

Penelope: *sees the tat when she prepares Odysseus for bed* Darling...what is this exactly?

Odysseus: *innocently looking for he had forgotten he had it* Oh, this? I got it at war...

Penelope: But but...this isn't exactly the most...noble behavior isn't it?

Odysseus: Well...it wasn't very "noble" where I was, Penelope but still look here...

*touching the branch*

Odysseus: Olive branch for our homeland...our bed and palace...

*tracing the tiny flowers*

Odysseus: Flowers for my beautiful wife, whom I longed for, for years

*pointing the olives*

Odysseus: the sweet fruit of my dear Telemachus whom I never saw growing and this...

*touching a tiny detail that looks like the silhouette of a bird*

Odysseus: The bird, the swallow coming home is me. I swore to come back to you no matter what I would need to do. Back to our land and our sweet Telemachus

*Penelope smiling now touched and embraces his neck*

Penelope: I still am not sure that I like this idea but it looks good because it is you who has it...

Sorry guys hahahaha 😆 random cheesy brainstorming. Blame my dialog with @aaronofithaca05 for it hahahaha 😆
