note: I was confused between (1) ์ "์ด" ๋ค์์ด์ and (2) ์ "์" ์ค์์. This is the rationalization I came up with: (1) The sleep is the subject that falls on you (the object); (2) The sleep is what you (the subject/topic) are sleeping (sleep is the object).
pink highlight shows my mispronunciation. I pronounced it with more of a "ใ " sound in my recording.

don't forget: "if you start part of a sentence with a time or place (e.g. "just nu"), then the verb and subject of sentence need to switch places"
STEP 2: Kimmy Results.
He made sure that "lite" when in the right places. <3

Today I pretty much just stayed home. I had a smoothie for breakfast, then I read some of the news. Then, I went into my room to study some Swedish. Then, I had some lasagna for a snack. And then went into my room again to read my book. But, I was so tired that I ended up sleeping for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I woke up from a nightmare. I got up and got some more lasagna and read on the couch for a while. Then, I went to my room to talk to Kimmy and studied some Korean after making a hotdog, rice and kimchi snack and watching a Swedish Youtuber while I ate. I came back out when dinner was ready. We watched Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Star Trek together. I let the dogs out during dinner and petted the bunnies too.

It's okay if my target language usage is not an exact match to my English language usage. Whether that's because I was searching for more appropriate words or not knowing how to express an entire phrase or so. I'm learning.

about to review once my 50min timers go off. Then i'll be done for the day. (can read in the meantime)
It's hard to keep up with my streak bc i seem to have been studying every other day or so. However, so far I like this method and have felt the most consistent with it. I'll start my streak over today and then see if I want to keep tracking it.
Will only review tomorrow since I now have two sets of review cards (see the plan for the week picture).
2024.07.05 โ ๐ฐ๐ท๐ธ๐ช Been messing up the whole study balance. But I've been staying consistent!

So, this is what I've got completed today (just one set of cards). But I have a bunch of other flashcards on hold bc I made too many and was too ambitious. Will study some of those tomorrow too.
Inspired by these tough long Korean story sentences, thinking about getting this TTMIK book and adding it to rotation: https://talktomeinkorean.com/product/buildextend/ (Google e-book or physical book, that is the question.)

Realized I need to bring my listening practice back.
Also, would like to start recording the selected audios for my flashcards so that I have a Native Speaker reference as I review each day. (This may also help account for my listening practice.)

Working on the process and generally trying to par down, organize, and focus more on language learning. Went longer today. Maybe I'll have a long and short version of studying to use on different occasions. Also, instead of audio flashcards like I bothered to make for my Korean study, I think I'll just use timestamps going forward. I still need to do my 1hr post-study review.

Streak: 3๐ฅ
Felt tired ~630pm so i thought I would do a 5 min quick study session each then review and be done. Of course with some procrastination mixed in the usual 1.5-2hr session became...A 2HOUR SESSION!
Whatever, at least it was low stress.*
Review took 40min mainly because I was going over some Korean grammar that I hadn't cleared up for myself when I made the flashcards.
*But I might've well have just gone all in. Or maybe set up materials for both languages so that it's easier to switch off - can do two 5min sessions, then decide to go longer and go back to 1st language etc.

Decided to take advantage of my first post-15 min study review and make Anki (audio) cards! Happy with this new plan! โ
Streak: 1๐ฅโก
โ I can quickly add text-to-speech audio, and if I want a more natural recording then their manual recording function is also easy to use. I will still create handwritten flashcards, handwrite to review and keep marking my flashcards to keep track of my study-tally.
โก Skipped yesterday, but I got a lot of other stuff done and I'm glad I respected my limits. And I learned about how much I can reasonably do in a day (roughly 4 "full" things), so if I want to study language then it's gotta make that list. Or I have to let myself accept a break day if something else needs to be prioritized instead.

yesterday and today's dump and some study strategy thoughts. (Wish I could stop worrying about the method though, I wish I was just more outgoing)
Do need the textbooks to clarify the grammar and language nuances.
But other than that, reading and listening and making something of my own from that should be enough. I think. (consuming something i want to make my own)
(lol kinda like what I'm trying to do in English, but i continue to happily consume and have random ideas bobbing around in my head than to say much.)
Maybe try to "scrapbook" words and sentences.
Better I think to start with the relevant stuff, common phrases or books, shows etc. Then have a dictionary. And then look up grammar when the sentence doesn't make sense. And stick to shorter sentences to start.
