Stranded Pt. 2
If you haven’t read part one, check it out here! Just a heads up, this part ended up being really long.
Back at the crash landing site, the stowaway insectoid named Coal had come out of hiding once it was sure there was no other living creature within close proximity. It made its way through the desert to the nearby road. The little alien perched itself next to the road, waiting for a potential host to drive by. Coal waited for hours on end. Although several people had driven down that highway, none of them suited the insectoid’s needs.
Soon the morning sun cracked the night sky, and Coal was still waiting on standby for a suitable host. Then, the loud sound of a revving motorcycle began to disturb the quiet desert as it came within earshot. A young biker punk was barreling down the highway. The noise quickly caught the insectoid’s attention, and the motorcycle kept its attention. The biker was exactly the kind of host Coal was waiting for, and although it couldn’t perform an in-depth analysis, it was ready to pounce on its prey.
The biker was coming down fast. Coal had to quickly curl up its legs before it missed its chance. Coal didn’t have enough time to properly calculate the jump, so it had to take a leap of faith and leave it up to luck. Once the biker was coming in close, Coal used the built up tension from its legs to spring itself right at the biker. It was a risky move, but it paid off. Coal landed right on the biker’s helmet.
“AHHHH WHAT THE FUCK!?!” the biker yelled. The sudden sight of an oversized bug on his helmet caused him to panic. He tried swatting at Coal, but Coal screeched when he tried. Terror filled the biker, and he swerved right off the road into the desert as he desperately tried taking off his helmet. He flew off his bike and he took a harsh tumble as he landed, but the biker managed to take off the helmet and throw it. The bike had taken some damage too, but luckily it didn’t explode or anything like that.
The biker was panting for breath as he stared down his helmet. The helmet landed right side up, but the insectoid was nowhere in sight. It seemed safe enough, but it still took the biker a while to calm down. After several minutes of nothing happening, the biker got up and inspected his helmet with a stick. He flipped it over several times, but still no sight of the bug that jumped on him. He picked up the helmet, and looked around for the bug.
“What the fuck was that thing…” the biker asked out loud. He swallowed his spit. Whatever it was, he never wanted to see it ever again.
He was about to put his helmet back on, but a weight on his shoulder had shifted. He paused, and turned his head in terror towards his shoulder. The last thing he saw was the insectoid sitting on his shoulder with its two front legs curled up. Its curled up legs then shot straight into his nose faster than his vision could process. The biker shrieked out in pain as Coal slithered up his nose in one fluid motion. He thrashed around in the dirt as Coal made its way to his brain, only relaxing once Coal sat on top of his brain and took control.
A creepy smile spread across the biker’s face as Coal adjusted itself to its new host. Coal then forced the biker to jump back onto his feet with a flip. Coal only had the biker under its control for less than a minute, but it had already figured out complex body movements.
Coal walked over to its new motorcycle with its helmet in tow, and began driving down the highway on its way to its next stop.

Stranded
A UFO was flying across the starry night sky the 4th of July 2022. The extraterrestrial pilot had learned about celebrations that were held in the North American continent during its study of the human race. Curious to learn more, an alien named Grey decided to fly down to Earth to see more for itself. Unfortunately for the insectoid creature, it had severely miscalculated how harsh the fireworks would be on its eyesight. The UFO quickly flew off course as Grey struggled to stay in the air. By the time Grey had regained control of the heavy spacecraft, it was already too late. A crash landing was inevitable.
It was 1 in the morning when the crash happened. Grey had crash landed somewhere in the middle of the Nevada desert. Sparks flew as the UFO scraped along the rocky terrain. The spacecraft flipped and tumbled as it eventually rolled to a stop after a harsh impact. It had taken heavy damage, and inside, Grey struggled to wiggle out of wreckage. Its limbs were working at full force to remove all of the debris. It was a slow process, but Grey kept at it anyway.
Meanwhile, a run down car was barreling down the desolate desert highway. There were two disgruntled guys sitting inside the car, the one at the wheel scowling and the other frowning in the passenger seat. The two sat in silence as they drove, both of their gazes fixed on the road, until the passenger turned to the driver.
"Bro, I swear to God I had a shot at her-"
"No you didn't, shut the fuck up! I had a chance! You had shit!"
"Jess, c'mon-"
"Aht aht," Jessie held up a hand off the driving wheel. "I don't wanna hear it right now, Drew. We're going home bitchless tonight and it's all on you."
Drew realized he was fighting a losing battle and slouched back into the passenger seat. He knew Jessie was right, he was the one that kept bringing up his sci fi obsession everytime a girl approached them at the party. The odds were slim that one of the hot chicks at the party would be just as into sci fi as he was, but that night was not Drew's night. Instead of a wingman, he became woman repellent, much to Jessie's dismay.
Jessie slowed down the car and pulled over to the side of the highway. Drew noticed the change in speed and turned back to Jessie again, who was already one foot out the car door.
"Where you going?" Drew asked.
"Gotta take a leak, wait here," Jessie began to walk away.
"I'm not a fucking child!"
"You might as well be one after what you did tonight, you dumbass bitch!!" Jessie shouted back without turning around. He walked out of the streetlight's light and into the dark desert, just enough to keep him out of view.
Jessie stood next to a tall bush as he whipped it out and peed. He could barely see the pink of his dick tip with how dark it was. He widened his stance as he peed out of fear his piss would run down and pool around his shoes. Jessie zipped himself back up as he finished, and just before he started walking back to the car, he heard a weird metallic sound. Like someone was banging on something metal. The out of place sound caught Jessie's attention, and against his better judgment, he decided to see what it was.
He walked around the bush and towards the clanging sound. He was walking deeper into the darkness, but luckily for him, it didn't take much more walking until he reached the source of the noise. Jessie had to squint his eyes but he could just barely make out a busted up disc on the ground. The disc was sleek, and had definitely seen better days. Jessie noticed the top of the disc kept wiggling.
"What the hell?" Jessie said as he got closer to the strange object.
He watched as it kept moving back and forth, until eventually he decided to pick it up with thumb and forefinger. He managed to pick the small piece that was moving, and he held it up to his face. Despite how beaten up it was, it looked like an ordinary piece of metal. The disc had stopped moving. Jessie leaned over and peered straight into the disc. He didn’t see anything out of the ordinary at first glance. He did spot something that somewhat resembled a giant silverfish, albeit with an extra pair of extended legs. But by the time Jessie's brain had registered what he was looking at, the insectoid had already jumped onto Jessie's face.
Jessie stumbled back from the impact of insectoid landing on him. He tried screaming but the massive creature had landed squarely on top of his mouth, muffling any sound he could make. He tried tearing it off his face, but the insectoid already had a strong grip on his face with all the tiny hairs of its lower legs. Jessie felt a burning pain everytime he tugged at the thing, a pull on the insectoid meant a pull on the skin of his face. Jessie was not ready to give up his face, and hesitated using his full strength. He was quickly running out of options against the face hugger. Not that it truly mattered, for Jessie had already run out of time to defend himself.
The front pair of legs the insectoid possessed were especially long and thin, almost like antenna rather than legs. While Jessie was desperately trying to get the insectoid off his face, the insectoid was preparing an attack of its own. It coiled up its front two legs all the way, then it launched them straight into Jessie's nose. They went deep inside his left nostril. Jessie yelped from the pain of something clamping down inside of him. Then, with one fluid motion, the insectoid reeled itself into Jessie's nose. It slithered all the way until it was at Jessie's brain. It perched on top of his brain and then snuggled itself between the brain folds, essentially hijacking his mind to become its next vehicle, leaving Jessie a squirming mess as he lost control over his own body.
Grey took a minute to adjust to its new human vehicle. With simple movements, it made Jessie's fingers curl up, then open and close his hands, then raise and drop his arms, and then eventually his entire body. Grey learned the controls within a minute, it was as though he had always been Jessie's brain.
"Jessie!! What's taking so long!?" Drew shouted out as he walked into the desert.
Grey turned around, unsure of what to do if it was a hostile human. Drew found him, and then walked up to him.
"You good, bro? You had to shit or something?" Drew asked Grey. Grey was unresponsive though, for it was too amazed at the sight of a living, breathing human to figure out human speech. Grey could just imagine Drew's nervous system hard at work to keep such a complex multicellular organism alive and healthy. And thanks to its new human host, Grey could witness it at a human eye level too.
Drew, on the other hand, only saw a wide eyed Jessie staring him down. Drew shrugged, he didn't even know what else he could say to calm Jessie down.
"C'mon, let's go find a hotel to crash for the night, I'm beat."
Drew dragged Jessie by the arm back to the car. Grey followed him eagerly as though he were a puppy following its owner. They made it to the car, and Drew sat down at the passenger's seat. He expected Jessie to hop into the driver's seat, but all Jessie did was stand in the middle of the road, observing himself and his surroundings.
"Man, this guy's lost his goddamn mind," Drew said as he slid into the driver's seat. He fired up the ignition, then called out to Jessie.
"Hey! You coming or what?" He nodded towards the empty passenger seat. Grey understood the gesture, and promptly got into the car. Drew started driving off, and Grey began to be amazed by the human machinery it found himself in. Drew only shook his head at the sight of Jessie's bewilderment.
"If you wanted me to drive you should’ve just said that..." Drew muttered under his breath.
And so the two drove off, both of them completely unaware of the grave danger they now found themselves in. Drew with an alien insect inside his best buddy, and Grey navigating a world he had only ever read about it. Although adjusting to human life would soon be the least of Grey's worries, as it was not alone in traveling to Earth. Back at the shipwreck, another insectoid had crawled out of the disc once it was sure no other living creatures were nearby. Its plan to hitch a ride was a success, and now it would launch the second phase of its little plan.
***
Drew had driven Grey and himself to the next motel they saw. Drew got out of the car and stretched. Yet another five or so hours of driving before they were back home. He yawned at the thought of it.
"You go get us a room while I find somewhere with free parking, alright Jessie?" Drew told Grey. Grey nodded, and stepped out of the car. Drew then drove off burning rubber, something that would've pissed off the regular Jessie.
Grey then took a look at his surroundings. Drew had dropped him off near a motel that a big neon sign that read 'vacancy.' Grey had dedicated a good portion of his studies to human culture, and had even learned a good amount of the major human languages, including English. His parents advised against it for it was essentially worthless knowledge, but Grey kept at it anyway.
Grey walked into the front office of the motel, and a sleepy clerk sat up at the sight of him.
"Hey there, how can I help you?" the clerk asked him. Grey walked up to the him Grey opened his mouth, but closed it when he realized he didn't know how to talk. He waved his hand at the clerk instead, a trick he had learned in his studies.
The clerk looked confused, and waved back meekly. "Uh... hi? Did you need something, sir?"
Grey stood there, unsure what to do next. He couldn't think of another nonverbal form of communication he could give. He racked his brain as he tried to think of a solution. Grey figured talking would be just as easy as any other human motion, but the possibility of messing up freaked him out.
"Hello? Sir? Is there something you need?" the clerk repeated. Grey could feel sweat forming on his new forehead, something he had never dealt with before. He quickly wiped it off, and then proceeded to take a leap of faith.
"Heeee..." Grey opened his mouth and a screeching noise came out. The clerk looked horrified. Grey noticed this, and quickly cleared his throat to stop the noise.
"Hello. Sorry. I need a room." Grey said in a very monotone voice. Grey heard it, and knew he still didn't sound like a normal human the way Drew or the clerk did. The clerk, albeit still bewildered, seemed to relax a bit.
"Okay... Sure, we have a couple of rooms available. For how many?"
"Two, two men, please, and thank you." Grey said, mimicking a more natural, human accent this time. It still needed some work, but Grey felt satisfied.
Grey signed off the paperwork under his new human identity. The clerk then handed him a pair of key cards, and wished him a good night and a belated happy pride month. Grey was beaming as he walked down the motel hallway. Despite a few bumps, he had successfully navigated his first social interaction with verbal communication, and now he was inside a motel room he had asked and paid for himself. Grey felt like he got the whole human thing under wraps, and soon enough he'll find a way back to his own planet in no time flat.
Grey settled into the motel room. He checked out the room and its simple furnishings. The mirror caught his attention the most. He walked up to it and stared at his new human reflection. Grey moved around, and every time his reflection copied him, he giggled out of pure excitement. He couldn't believe he had taken over a human- and a fully grown adult male at that!- and made it his new vehicle.
Grey stared at his new body in the mirror for a while. He hadn't fully realized how lucky he got in terms of human bodies. Grey knew that humans came in a wide, diverse variety much like his own species. He wasn't sure how his human host fared compared to other humans, but Grey knew one thing for sure.
He was strong.
Grey flexed his arms and watched in amazement as the muscles swelled up.
Grey was not a strong member of his own species, but as a human, he was strong. Much stronger than he could ever even imagine. The thought of it gave Grey a rush of power and joy. He kept flexing his new body, and marveled at how strong his human host was. His new penis started to swell up too after a while of self-admiration. Grey smirked at the sight of his growing bulge. He had found yet another human behavior he would have to observe himself.
But a sudden knock on the door killed the mood. Grey threw himself onto one of the beds, making sure his bulge wasn't visible.
"The door is unlocked!" Grey shouted, while also kicking himself internally for not contracting his words like a normal human would again.
The door opened, and Drew walked in. He nodded his head at Grey, and Grey returned the gesture. Drew then sat in the bed across from Grey. He had a dead pan facial expression, something Grey had never seen him with. He grew worried Drew was becoming hostile.
"Hey, Jessie? Can I ask you something? Are you feeling alright?" Drew asked. He was staring straight at Grey, not breaking eye contact at all. It unnerved Grey as he carefully thought over his answer.
"Yes, I feel alright. Why do you ask?"
"Oh, just checking. I was worried you weren't feeling like yourself, that's all."
Drew's response only confused Grey even more.
"Why do you ask?"
"Cuz, I asked the front desk what room number you were in," Drew started. "The clerk showed me the registry, and apparently, you had signed your name as 'Jesse,' instead of the usual 'Jessie' with an i."
The air inside the small motel room had changed. The atmosphere became tense and stiff as Drew and Grey stared daggers at each other. There was a loud silence that was only broken by Drew standing up.
"Who are you, and what did you do to Jessie?" Drew yelled.
Grey then stood up too, and tackled Drew into the ground, using his newfound human strength to pin him down.

Stranded Pt. 3
Check out part one to this series here and part two here!
Grey was laying in bed with his arms around Drew, the guy who had graciously taken him in. But then there was a sudden knock on the front door, causing Drew to sit up in bed. Grey sat up next to him with a worried look. He watched as Drew glanced at the clock on the wall, which read 12:46 AM. He then got out of bed and walked over to the window. Drew opened the curtains a bit and peeked outside.
“What’s wrong?” Grey asked.
“Someone’s at the door, but who the fuck would come at midnight?” Drew looked left and right out the window. “That’s weird, nobody’s there… I’ll go check it out.”
Drew turned to walk out of the room, but Grey jumped in front of him to stop him.
“I’ll go get it,” Grey said. Drew tried to respond but Grey put a finger against his lips. “You’re tired, Drew, I see it in your eyes. Go to bed, and I’ll come join you,”
There was a brief pause as neither of them said anything. Then, Drew put his hand on Grey’s face and gave him a quick kiss. He nodded his head and went back to bed while Grey left to go answer the door.
Grey looked out the window before he opened the door. He couldn’t spot anyone either. He then opened the door and stepped outside. He looked around, but still didn’t see anyone nearby.
“Hello? Anyone here?” Grey called out as he stepped further away from the front door. He walked until he was at the very edge of the patio light, searching but seeing nobody. But just as he was about to step into the dark of night, he saw someone approaching him. Grey saw them and stopped, but soon started backing away too when he saw the outline of a buff man creeping up on him.
Grey kept backing away from the strange man approaching him. The grim look on his face made Grey shudder. He knew that human men, especially muscular ones, frequently had their shirts off. But the whole situation felt off to Grey, and he made sure to keep his distance away from him.
“What do you want?” Grey asked. The man stopped walking forward and smiled from ear to ear.
“I’ve been looking for you, Grey Howling Grey. I wanted to thank you for giving me a ride all those months ago.”
Grey’s eyes widened when he heard the man say his true name. Somehow the man in front of him knew exactly who he was, but he didn’t know who he was.
“Who are-”
The man did not wait for Grey to finish talking. He lunged forward and landed a right hook on Grey’s jaw, punching him into the wall behind him. Grey was reeling from the pain, but before he could even react, he found the man standing inches away from him. Then Grey felt punch after punch rain down on him; all he could do was guard his face with his arms as he got pummeled.
“Hey!! What’s going on here!?”
Grey heard Drew’s voice. The pummeling had stopped, but Grey hesitated to remove his arms. He then felt two hands grab and lift him up, only to be slammed back down into the wall head first. Jessie’s body had taken too much damage, and no matter how hard Grey commanded, the body wouldn’t get back up anymore.
“Get your hands off of him!! Hey!!” Grey could hear Drew yelling from within Jessie’s head with its own ears. Grey tried to move its human host again but still to no avail. “Get off of me!! Let me go!!”
“Not a chance, you’re coming with me!”
Grey heard Drew fighting back and calling for help. Grey dispatched itself from Jessie’s brain and made a beeline for the earhole. But by the time Grey crawled out of Jessie, both Drew and their assailant were gone; leaving the alien bug alone in the dark of night.
***
Coal couldn’t help but to laugh maniacally as it drove Grey’s stolen car through the highways late at night. It had made the right call in switching to a much stronger human body before confronting Grey. Coal made quick work in disposing of his one and only real threat. The inferior alien couldn’t even stand a chance against him. With Grey gone, both viruses ready to go, and a human hostage in tow in case things get dicey, Coal smirked at his brilliant planning and execution. Just the mere thought of how unstoppable he was becoming made a surge of endorphins rush through his muscles. He was ecstatic to say the least.
The night sky had broken by the early morning light. Coal had been driving nonstop ever since he left Grey’s house. He had an unconscious human in the back seat, and although he had thought about forcing it to drive for him, Coal decided not to take that chance. He needed to get back to Nevada without any distractions.
As Coal barreled down the highway, he had gotten a message on his host’s phone. It came from someone the body knew. The message read:
“Bro! I didn’t know you were coming to NV! Pull up to the crib bro we finna go to Vegas later tonight!”
Coal scrolled through the phone while driving. Apparently the phone had location sharing on, and anyone his host’s had contact with could see where he was going. Coal wanted to chuck the phone out the window right then and there, but he hesitated when a thought had occurred to him. He knew that once his friends arrived to Earth, they would need bodies to takeover. Coal figured they could search for bodies themselves, but then he decided to go the extra mile and prepare a body for one of them. It was an unexpected detour, but it had potential to speed up Coal’s plan for world domination if his buddies didn’t have to spend so much time body hunting.
With that thought in mind, Coal continued speeding down the roads at dangerous speeds. He made a quick pitstop to pick up a bottle of sleeping pills at some gas station, and then made his way to the friend’s house. He pulled up to the house and parked in the driveway. Coal then took the bottle of pills and force fed some of them to his hostage. He then downed a pill himself, and after waiting for the effects to take effect on his host body, Coal left both bodies unconscious in the car while he went out in his bug form.
Coal skittered across the smooth pavement and to the backyard where he could hear the sound of splashing. He crawled under the fence and soon spotted his target posing in front of a phone.
Coal let out a squeal at the sight of the buff man. He was exactly the type of man he’d want his buddies to takeover. A crew of handsome, strong men that nobody would dare go against; that was Coal’s ultimate goal. And now he was yet another step closer to achieving it.
As the jock continued posing for the camera, Coal quietly made his way across the backyard. Being larger than normal Earth bugs, he made use of all the shadows and crevices he could find to avoid being spotted. Soon enough, he had positioned right behind the oblivious jock. Coal then prepared himself for another body takeover; he coiled up his two front legs, readied his back legs for a jump, and then let out a loud squeal.
“Huh? What the-”
The jock turned around and screamed at the sight of an oversized silverfish. At the same time, Coal made his move and shot himself up onto the jock’s face, causing him to fall over. While the jock squirmed around, Coal shot up his front legs up the jock’s nostril and slithered his way in there. He crawled up the nasal cavity all the way to the brain, where he proceeded to nuzzle into the pink folds and take control.
Yet despite this, the jock continued to fight back. He flailed and bumped into anything he could. The piercing pain of Coal digging into his brain was too much to endure. His muscles flexed, his eyes dilated, his limbs shivered, his mouth moaned, all while Coal exerted more and more control over his body. Within the next minute, Coal was at the driver’s seat and the jock had no choice but to obey.
Coal got up on his new set of feet and immediately groaned. It was a nice body, all things considered, but Coal preferred to be inside his permanent body. He went back out to the car where his body and the hostage were still sleeping soundly. He opened the driver door and stood there. Within the jock’s brain, Coal wiggled his antenna inside the brain matter. He then jumped out of the jock and crawled back into his body. Within a few moments, the body’s eyes snapped open as Coal overrode the sleeping pill effects. Coal then stepped out of the car and stretched out his body’s muscles; the second body followed his movements.
Coal smirked. The results of his little test came out positive. Just before he left the second body, Coal gave the jock a simple command.
“Flex.”
Just as Coal theorized, the jock had followed his command despite him not being in control anymore. So long as his orders were simple, Coal had another body under his command.
“Perfect,” Coal said as he led the nearly brain dead jock into the passenger seat. “You’ll make a pretty little slave, at least until one of my brethren takes control of you.”
Coal gave the jock a kiss as he strapped him in. He then hopped back into the driver’s seat and continued the trip to landing site.
***
Meanwhile, while Coal was making steady progress towards world domination, Grey was back at his home doing damage control. Grey was sitting on top of Jessie’s unconscious body. The body had taken heavy damage to the head after that assailant got his hands on him. Grey tried once more to force restart the body, but it was no use.
Just who was that? Why did he attack us? How did he know who I was? And where did he take Drew?
Grey had so many questions but had little to no answers. He squealed out of frustration. Everything he had worked up to had been taken away from him within a span of minutes. Grey felt the darkness surround him as he thought about the situation he was in. Above all else, Drew, his best human friend and lover had been taken away from him. Grey then realized it was a race against time so long as Drew was in danger. He forced himself to pull it together and get to work.
Grey looked back up at Jessie’s body. No matter how much stimulation he performed on the brain, the body would not move. Grey thought about it, and remembered that the brain was ultimately only one piece of a human body. Grey hopped down and skittered towards the left hand. He then coiled up his front legs and shot them into the wrist. Grey moved his legs around inside Jessie’s arm, hitting and stimulating all the muscles’ nerves inside. The arm moved. It was only a small twitch, but Grey had gotten the arm to move. He then tried it again, and he got the arm to move again!
Grey then moved onto other parts of Jessie’s body. Every part of Jessie’s body responded the same way when Grey probed it. From there on, it was a long and tedious process as Grey got the body moving step by step into the house. It had taken him several hours, but Grey eventually got Jessie back inside the house. He then proceeded to patch up Jessie’s head wounds with whatever first aid supplies Drew had around the house. It was sloppy but it was the best Grey could do for the time being.
The morning sun had already risen by the time Grey had finished doing damage control on Jessie’s body. The body had gone from lying on the ground outside to lying down on the couch while Grey patched him up. The body had about seven hours worth of rest after fainting. Grey was hesitant, but decided to take a risk and slithered back into the brain. Grey reinserted his antenna carefully and gingerly, and made small movements from within. Much to his surprise, Grey was able to wake up Jessie’s body.
Although Grey wanted to celebrate that moment, an intense headache from the beating he had gotten forced him to lay back down. But despite the injuries, Grey was still smiling as he had ensured that Jessie would not die under his care. Just as he had promised Drew.
As Grey laid on the couch, he began to think about his next moves. Drew was still missing, and there was no doubt in Grey’s mind that if the man hadn’t already killed him, then he was likely keeping him as a hostage. While saving Drew was Grey’s top priority, he didn’t have a single clue where he could be.
Grey then shifted his focus back to the strange man. He had showed up out of nowhere and proceeded to beat the shit out of him. But before that, he had said something that caught Grey off guard.
I’ve been looking for you, Grey Howling Grey… I wanted to thank you for giving me a ride all those months ago…
Grey thought hard about what the man had said to him. The man had addressed him by name- his actual name, not the human name Jessie he had taken on. On top of that, the man had thanked him for giving him a ride some number of months ago. But Grey did not recognize the man at all, and he didn’t remember ever giving anyone except Drew a ride anywhere.
Grey kept thinking about the whole interaction. He thought over all the details, and when he focused one specific detail, Grey let out a loud gasp when the dots had finally connected. If the man knew his real name, then he knew that Grey was an alien controlling a human body. And if Grey had given him a ride, then that meant he must’ve hitched a ride when Grey flew down to Earth for the 4th of July. It was a hitchhiker from his own planet, and he clearly had malicious intent!
Grey got up from the couch after reaching that last conclusion. That man had an alien inside of him too, it was the only explanation that made sense. And if that was the case, then the place he would most likely need to go to is where Grey had crash landed back in the middle of the Nevada desert. The ship wreckage would most likely still be there, and if the man got to it first, then he could force Drew to use the technology to do… something. Grey couldn’t figure out the motive behind the individual’s actions, but despite that, it was clear to him that that alien was a dangerous individual. Grey had to stop him and fast!
Grey quickly grabbed some supplies out of Drew’s room he thought he might need. He then stumbled out of the house as fast as he physically could. Jessie’s body was still reeling from all the pain, and there was nothing Grey could do except turn off the pain receptors. Grey refused to do that, he worried he might overdo it and accidentally kill the body, so instead he endured all of the human’s pain through sheer willpower and resilience.
Grey walked out into the driveway and shouted when he saw that the man had stolen his car. But further down the street, Grey spotted a motorcycle that was slouched over onto the ground. Grey hurried over to the bike. The key had been left behind in the ignition.
Could this be that man’s motorcycle?
Grey shrugged the question off of his mind. Regardless if it was or not, Grey was gonna take it. He needed to get to the landing site as fast as he could. He propped up the motorcycle and turned on the ignition. Grey struggled keeping his balance at first, but once he got the hang of it, he started driving fast. Grey wanted to drive as fast as the bike would allow, but he held off to avoid taking any unnecessary falls. He knew he’d had to save his energy for a fight after all.
Grey eventually made it back to Nevada after many hours driving under the hot sun. Not that Grey minded the long drive, as it gave him the much needed time to concoct a plan. In a physical fight, that alien had Grey beat in every category. It was gonna take either a miracle or a trick to beat that alien, and Grey knew that very well.
After another hour or so of driving, Grey had made it back to the spot where he had originally crash landed. He took off the biker’s helmet and took in the surroundings.
Grey could hardly believe how much time had passed since he first crash landed on Earth. He had crashed yet somehow survived, he had taken control of a human’s body yet he had made a friend in Drew, and he had worked long and hard at finding a way back home… Yet, he had found a home on Earth. One that he wasn’t sure if he was ready to give up yet.
Grey felt his eyes tear up. He flinched as a teardrop rolled down his cheek. In his alien form, crying was not something he had ever experienced. But with a human host, Grey could feel all of the emotions inside of him give way to tears as he remembered all of the fond memories he had made. All he had learned about human culture, all the times he messed around with Jessie’s body, and all the memories he had shared with Drew. The one living creature, who wasn’t even of the same species as him, who Grey had come to trust and love.
Grey had to take his mind somewhere else before he became a crying mess. He quickly wiped away all the tears in his eyes and reminded himself of why he had come back to the barren desert. To stop the dangerous alien, and to save Drew.
Grey put the helmet back on and proceeded to walk off of the road and into the desert. He turned around a large bush and spotted the man off in the distance. He was carrying the remaining of Grey’s ship in his hands. Grey squinted his eyes and saw that he wasn’t alone. Drew was walking alongside him along with another bare chested buff man to their side.
Grey ducked behind the tall shrub. He didn’t know what to make of what he saw. He also didn’t know if an additional man was gonna hinder the plan he had come up with during the bike ride there. But Grey had no time to change up plans now, so he decided to take a gamble and trust himself. He took a deep breath, and set the first step of his plan in action. Grey then charged straight at the group of three men with no regrets.
