Song Association - Tumblr Posts

This is my first post in this series so hope you enjoy. The formatting of these will definitely get better as I work out the kinks but for now bear with me .

Why; This one is super sad and like a not necessarily worst outcome but a pretty shit one. For those that don’t know Michael and Adam basically share a body and have for 1000+ years, and that can be a lot especially for Adam who was forced into this situation essentially against his will and even though he got to know and love Micheal constantly sharing your body is giving up a lot of your bodily autonomy and that must be so frustrating some days especially for a guy just coming out of his teens and didn’t get a chance to fully explore who they are. I mean he basically has a constant live in voyeur and that must be pretty weird sometimes. And Michael is a being not used to inhibiting a physical form for such a long stretch of time and is also an almost all powerful being accustomed to moving through the world without challenge nor question so he definitely had big boundary issues at first. And I’m my interpretation of him after they escape the cage and find out that Chuck is actually evil and possibly never loved him. He becomes even more clingy towards Adam and like Michael is accustomed to living for another higher power and he kind of shifts that unto Adam (this is just my interpretation feel free to disagree) and Adams just a college kid trying his best to deal.

This song is from a play about a pair of conjoined twins, that have gone through aloooot in their very short lives. And so the song is basically about it be of the twins wanting to be separated so they can be their own person while the other wants to continue being a pair. There’s a line “ a parasite needs a host” and I think that sometimes this is how Adam feels like a host, and that can even very depressing. So this song to me represents an AU or whatever where Adam breaks up or decides to separate from Michael either because he’s just tired or he genuinely wants both them to learn how to exist as separate beings (especially Michael who has already lived for somebody) and stop being codependent to avoid ending up like Sam and Dean. And like of course Michael doesn’t want to go wants to beg Adam not to make him go but like he’s Michael and he will always do want Adam wants of him if he can.

Ship: Laurent Thierry and Dorothy

Song; Ghost of you by five seconds of summer (I think my chemical romance sang it first but I’m not sure)

Reason; It’s about a guy basically hallucinating the love of his life after she dies or leaves and if that doesn’t scream Laurent after Dorothy dies I don’t know what will. Great song it’s really good and it actually took a while for it to click that; oh this is Laurent. This could be sang by Laurent some days after Dorothy dies. And he’s mopping about this big house that used to be theirs, waiting for her to pull the wool over his eyes; and come out with this was all and elaborate trick for my own amusement, or to keep him in the con life, or for whatever reason and she doesn’t. And that breaks him a little more every day. And he sees her everywhere; both in her stuff and the places they sat but he also literally sees her in his self destructive caused hallucinations and fever dreams. The lines “ so I drown it out, like I always do/ dancing through our house with the ghost of you” is just so much about how Laurent would rather drink to see her hallucinations, although they torment him, that live in a world that she’s not in. Before he committed to that long con he was basically doing the same thing that he was doing before Dorothy came barging into his life with her cons and her schemes and her smile, he was running away.

So definitely listen to the song l, it’s great and if you do and have any feelings about it definitely send an ask or something 🤗

I like music and I like associating music with characters I like. If you do as well, What are some songs you associate with Mishanks or just Mihawk or Shanks.

I've said this before - but I heavily associate Mishanks (specifically from Shanks' pov with Do I wanna know - Hozier cover

And I associate Shanks with Wait for it from Hamilton in terms of his approach to life after meeting Luffy or honestly maybe even before

I don't really have anything for Mihawk mybe Be by Hozier but not solidly.

But yeah let me know! I'm interested to see what people are vibing too.
