He really is! I love Fresh, he's so complex and I love his canon character arc. Plus, he's just a rad dude in general. And canon PJ is also pretty cool! He's an asshole in his 20's who hates his parents while also trying to follow in their footsteps, what's not to like? I wish people would treat them better.
Also, I think 'jokes' about that kind of shit should be regarded as very suspicious and not just things said ignorantly. Because what are their intentions behind joking about such a thing? Not only is it wrong to do so, but the people who joke about it could genuinely be dangerous. But then again, some of the people joking about it are children, and that's just as worrying.
I think the reason it's so common to see people joke about it is because of how many kids are in the fandom. Kids tend to be a bit ignorant to the full severity of things like this. And they shouldn't learn the full severity because, y'know, they're children. But unfortunately, being online and not knowing puts them in more danger than if they did know. The better thing would be to not let them online at all until they are old enough to understand these things, but we all know how much some parents like to let the internet raise their child.
Sorry for my incoherancy, I rambled.
TLDR: Folks should moderate these kids' online viewing experience. And Fresh and PJ deserve better.

It's a new main outfit for him! For between the time she leaves Ink to near before meeting Omni. Yay!
I thought neither of the two main outfits he has fits with that time period... plus this is a nice between design for the two outfits!
Not to say that PJ doesn't have other outfits... but just like to have a core main outfit for each stage that they base their other outfits off of!
Oh! And due to lighting and stuff, it's hard to see the design clearly so... here's a sketch of his outfit for this period... which I'm nicknaming as "Judge" PJ!
Oh - and the magenta to yellow dress (yes it's a dress) has a tight turtleneck on the top. Hard to tell with the scarf there!
Now just have to do a minor revamp on the original design someday! XD
