🪐 — message recieved from @lighthouseborn ; Hi hello if you don't want to play with the dmtnt lore-mess that's fine you may skip this question w/o offending me but I am curious, if you were to engage with it, how ((if at all)) you think Calypso and Poseidon relate? Are they equivalent to their mythical counterparts (Poseidon a god, Calypso a nymph, etc.) or would you think there's a truth that differs from the legends man created out of it? Are they maybe even technically the same figure evolved over time? Or something else?? Is Calypso even really a name of hers or something misattributed? Is she of all the oceans or specific to the Caribbean? ( for instance, Poseidon used to be considered specific to the Mediterranean! and then per dmtnt they find the weapon in Poseidon's Tomb so maybe there were as many ocean deities as their are oceans ((like how there are pirate lords for each- maybe that's an echo/imitation of the gods themselves?)) and maybe Calypso was the last still standing and that's why binding her gave the lords 'control' of the seas?) tl;dr I would like to see the essay and whatever other thoughts you may have ok ty I hope you have a nice day!
HI HELLO FRIEND thank you for this lovely question & inviting me to write the essay on my beloved ocean goddess !! i adore & appreciate your curiosity & will do my very best to answer all that you asked as best as i can — however i want to preface this with the disclaimer that i haven’t actually seen the potc films after the original trilogy, so... while i know some of the broadest strokes of the plot of dmtnt, the real reason that i discard the canon after the trilogy is out of straight-up ignorance to it. so bear in mind that everything i say will be coming from that very limited perspective.
in my personal portrayal of the goddess known as calypso, i am compliant to what the canon of the trilogy gives us ( which is admittedly limited on lore ) but also heavily influenced by the character of Καλυψώ as she appears in ancient greek myth & literature, with heavy inspiration drawn from homer’s the odyssey, & with some minor insights from the price of freedom novel thrown in there as well. therefore, the short answer to your question is that i do tend to follow along with my understanding of the greek mythos.
therefore, in accordance with greek mythos, not all deities are created equal. while poseidon is one of the twelve gods of olympus, calypso is a nymph — her father being the titan atlas ( a pre-olympian god ) & her mother being pleione, an ocean nymph. now, nymphs, according to greek mythos, are essentially lesser goddesses with traces of human blood who are tied to some specific element of nature. there are all kinds of nymphs, & calypso herself would have been one of the fifty nereids, or sea nymphs, who often accompanied poseidon, the olympian god of the sea.
it’s important to note that even being a lesser goddess meant that you had abilities that the humans could never truly understand, & would therefore be understood best by them as magic. for example, in the odyssey, calypso has a years-long tryst with odysseus ( in which she highkey takes him prisoner ), & is shown to have many powers of enchantment, including control over animals & the weather, & even shapeshifting ! but it’s important to remember that these are powers that all ocean nymphs would have. so for as incredible as her abilities are in relation to humans, poseidon’s divine abilities would easily supersede her own.
i definitely think that there is an element to the gods that mortals will never be able to explain or understand — is it truly magic ? or a scientific explanation involving beings that exist on different planes of existence & experience ? we will never know. but they did at least understand that there is a bit of a hierarchy within the divine beings — namely that the so-called “olympians,” like poseidon, are truly divine beings, whereas nymphs like calypso have both divine & mortal blood in them, & are therefore closer to humans. if the desire is to think on it scientifically instead of religiously, i think it could be conceptualized as having characters like poseidon as extremely powerful beings who originated in another dimension — one where the laws of physics are different than this one — that were able to cross into our dimension. in contrast, nymphs & other lesser divine beings are beings that were born of these beings but in the mortal world, meaning that they cannot travel between dimensions because they are linked to the mortal world. another example would be that while nymphs do not age, they can die if they are removed from their elemental homes, whereas poseidon is a truly immortal being who cannot die ( but who may have the ability to leave our dimension behind ).
while i think it’s a really cool concept that there are ocean deities for the separate seas similar to the pirate lords, the mythos points to there actually being a lot more ocean deities than there were lords, calypso being one of fifty. however, it’s important to remember that all the nymphs were distinct and individual beings. calypso’s sisters all had their own personalities, & my personal headcanon is that calypso was always one of the most headstrong & unpredictable of her nymph sisters. ocean nymphs like her would be capable of travelling throughout any connected seas, & even stepping onto land as long as they stayed near their sea, & calypso would have been one of the most adventurous of her sisters, leaving their group frequently to explore on her own. she also would have been one of the most interested in the mortals, even having trysts with mortal men, & frequently showcase her abilities in front of mortals, earning her reverence as a goddess in various cultures all over the world. this is how i came to the belief that, over centuries of traveling, calypso & other ocean nymphs like her came to be known by several names — ran, yemanya, cato, oshun, & more — with different cultures giving them different names & applying their own belief systems to explain their abilities.
of course, eventually calypso made her way to the caribbean & met davy jones, the fallout of this particular tryst would lead to her being “bound” in a single mortal form. i understand that this might be a controversial take on the pirate lords “binding” calypso, but i really don’t think it had the effect they think it did ? confining her in a mortal body did remove her abilities to control the ocean — which did admittedly make her stop throwing temper tantrums about jones that became hurricanes capable of sinking fleets of ships at a time — but the sea wasn’t really “tamed” when she was bound. there were still storms & things. it’s just that she personally wasn’t causing them. & by that time, most of the still surviving nymphs from ancient greece had learned to avoid humans if they wanted to live, so she was one of the only ones still brave enough to show herself & her powers to mortals, which is why the pirate lords thought she was the only one, & taking that ability away would mean the sea would be calm all the time. but the east india company taking control of the caribbean & squashing piracy in the region was actually not the direct result of calypso no longer having her powers, it was just straight up the result of imperialism babey ! but i digress.
finally, you asked about her true / original name. i do believe that calypso ( or rather, kαλυψώ ) is the name that mortals gave to her, as are the other names she has gone by over the years. i do believe she has a true name, but it is in the written language of the olympians, & it would be literally impossible to translate it into human language. ( i realize this might feel like a cop out — sorry if it does ! ) but it should be noted, she doesn’t really care what name the mortals call her by. she knows exactly who she is, even if the mortals she befriends will never truly know her back.
ok, i know that was LONG. i hope i answered all your questions to your satisfaction ! thanks again for sending, i loved this opportunity to detail my thoughts on calypso’s lore !

● giovanni’s maternal grandparents were anti-fascists who participated in direct coordinated actions against benito mussolini in the early 1940s, involving sabotaging supply lines & helping to print & distribute anti-fascist press. when he was a child, it was his grandfather who introduced gio to radical politics, & imbued him with his strong values of justice, equality, & freedom. other than his guitar, the stack of old pamphlets & resistance fliers that his grandfather gave him are gio’s most treasured possessions. ● in large part because of his strong values, gio hates bullies. at 6′5, gio is almost always the tallest person in the room, & while he doesn’t like to fight, he is not above using his size to frighten bullies into leaving more vulnerable people alone. his close friendship with brian walker is a classic example of this. ● gio’s family couldn’t afford to travel back & forth between italy & the united states very often, but they did save up enough to take one trip to visit his familial home when he was thirteen years old & his younger brother, damiano, was seven. they got to meet the extended di carlo family, & this trip is one of the best memories of gio’s life. ● gio is an incredibly hard worker & surprisingly good at saving up money for things he really wants. he worked three jobs at a time when he was fifteen years old & trying to save up for a guitar. his first guitar was a secondhand lime green kramer focus. his second guitar was a white fender super strat. his dream guitar is a cherry red les paul. ● gio’s Type is goths. the more goth the better. & this isn’t to say that he’s not capable of finding people of other styles attractive, because he definitely is, & he can also sometimes be surprised at who he’s attracted to. but as a rule, he tends to gravitate toward goths. he thinks the fact that they’re different & a little freaky is just the hottest thing.
🪐 — @hargrovetm sent a hc meme : HC + brian !
● brian walker does not remember his mother at all. he was seized from her by cps & put into foster care when he was only one year old, & as such, he has literally no memories of her. he also knows nothing about her, with no one around him while he was growing up who knew her personally that he could ask. although there are a lot of hard things in his life, the hardest part for brian will always be the not knowing how to find her, or what her situation was, or even the barest details of why she could not raise him herself. ● brian is... gross. & i don’t mean this in a hygiene way, i mean it in a “dirtbag boy” kind of way. as a foster kid who was shuffled around several homes in his youth, brian learned early on that saying the most shocking possible thing will lend him attention. & even negative attention is preferable to none. so as he grows, the habit sticks, & brian develops the tendency to loudly interject vulgar or crude comments into casual conversations where they do not belong. it’s not that he has poor social skills — he knows it makes people angry & uncomfortable. that’s the point of it. he really just wants to cause a reaction. ● brian gets four tattoos by the time he’s 18. he has a barbed wire around his right bicep (terribly cliche), a red herring fish on left pectoral, a headless skeleton holding a beer bottle on the back of his right shoulder, & a cluster of stars on his right hipbone. they don’t mean anything — though it could be argued that the red herring over his heart is subconsciously symbolic of the fact that for brian, if he appears to show real genuine vulnerability, you should be very concerned that it’s a distraction from the truth, because brian doesn’t show his real feelings to anyone. ● brian has an addictive personality & a genetic predisposition toward substance abuse. he has his first drink at age 13 : a pint of vodka which he stole from an older kid’s backpack at the foster home he was in at the time. in his teenage years he mostly drinks, with only occasional experimentation with drugs. but as he gets older — & in especially verses where the band he plays in actually becomes successful — brian experiments with uppers, & opiates. he doesn’t like weed; it’s not strong enough for him. ● the only person in the world who can tell brian what to do & he will listen to them is his best & only real friend, giovanni di carlo. & the only reason gio gets away with it is because gio was the only one who was there for him when brian ran away from his foster home & was living on the streets. for this reason, when gio is around, brian is much more tolerable because he knows gio prefers to be respectful, & gio’s opinion is one of the only ones that actually matters to him.

🪐 — INBOX CLEANUP. @thecodekeeper sent a meme : hc + curse (calypso)
● you & i have actually joked about this, ace, but i legitimately do stand by the headcanon that calypso didn’t intentionally abandon jones on that one day ashore when she was supposed to meet him. let’s all remember that calypso is at least 3500 years old, & time simply hits different when you’re ageless ! to an immortal goddess, ten years really isn’t all that long, & the honest truth is that she just kinda... missed the date when she was supposed to meet him. she was just off splashing around somewhere. it was a genuine whoops moment. & i could do an entire separate meta post about my ideas on calypso’s relationship with jones, but it’s also important to remember that to her, mortal love is inherently fleeting. i don’t want to say that jones felt more intensely than she did, but he definitely took their love more seriously than her. she didn’t intend to hurt jones, but she also kinda figured that if she did, he would just... eventually get over it. she certainly didn’t expect him to go to the brethren court & curse her over it. ● after being bound in her body, calypso moves to the shack in swamps of cuba because while as an ocean nymph, she needs to be in close proximity to saltwater to live, it also makes her too sad to be able to see or hear the ever-changing tides when she cannot change her own form with them. the saltwater from the sea that filters into the swamp is enough to keep her alive, without making her any more depressed than she already is. ● calypso does have some subdued powers even when bound in her human body, such as premonitions & inexplicable intuition. she is also clearly capable of necromancy as seen with barbossa, as well as some very slight weather control, & communication with animals. she also learns hatian voodoo practices to supplement her own powers. it surprises her that human magic is real, too, & that it can even be used in combination with her goddess magic. ● calypso does have some degree of premonition / intuition, which is particularly strong when it relates to her own powers. she is far less able to predict anything surrounding the magic that is used to bind her. for example, she knew upon her very first time seeing will that he would be the one to become the dutchman’s captain, because it was her power that had created the dutchman in the first place ( this is what she meant by ‘a touch of destiny’ ). however, she had no idea that it would ultimately be ragetti who broke the curse. honestly, she thought it would be barbossa after she resurrected him & all, or maybe even witty jack, who was actually one of her lovers. ● the scene with calypso & jones when he comes to find her in the brig is the first & only time they speak after she gave him the dutchman & sent him on his mission. yes, including all the long decades she was cursed. in that scene, she tells him that when she is free, they will be together, always. this is a straight up lie, or at the very least, what she means by it is that he will be hers always because she is planning to fucking drown him in her storm lmao. she tells him that the last thing brethren court will learn in their lives is how cruel she can be. but literally the moment jones falls into the malestrom she’s created & dies, calypso’s storm calms & she departs the battle. for these reasons, i think calypso never blamed the brethren court for her curse, only jones, & it’s him alone that she wants vengeance on. but she doesn’t want to tell him that to his face — she doesn’t want him to see her revenge coming. & it does seem to me like jones believes her, even going so far as to say that the malestrom won’t hurt the dutchman, which indicates that he believes calypso to be on his side, which she is actively not. ● bonus silly headcanon : it felt literally so good when she finally got to grow all giant before bursting out of her mortal bones take the form of a few hundred crabs ( which has always been her preferred physical form ). it was like, if you had a misaligned vertebrae for literally 80+ years & you’d been stretching it but you just couldn’t make it release the tension & then after decades of this you finally got to go to the chiropractor & they just popped your whole damn spine back into place & you suddenly realized you’d kinda forgotten what it felt like to stand up straight without back pain ? it was just like that for her. but even better, because then she got to go start a malestrom & drown her ex. & that’s some # girlboss behavior.
🪐 — ANONYMOUS sent : Hello this is meant in the most friendly of ways!!! In the movie they do actually refer to Calypso as an obeah woman, which is a separate (but very similar dispora) to Hatian voodoo that originates from Ghana. Given, it's also one of the clown crew who says this so it's not necessarily a fact of law! Just something in the body of the movie that might be speaking to the writers intention. Also both of these practices draw their power from spirits and deities, so I don't know if I'd call it human magic exactly? As it's still sourced from nonhuman entities that the practitioner calls on. I hope this doesn't come off as rude im just someone who is very invested!!
hi anon ! i’m taking this in a friendly way, don’t worry. 💖✨ i also do just want to take a moment to thank you for bringing this up & encouraging me to delve deep on this concept that i only glossed over in my post from last night. you’re right, i definitely know the line in awe where pintel refers to tia dalma as that obeah woman. & i want to just say right out the gate before i dive in here that i am very much not an expert on the nuances of obeah or voodoo. but i do know that both are very real cultural practices with a rich & vibrant history that are still actively practiced by many people today. & because of my very much non-expert status, i really want to be respectful of these practices & the real people who participate in them. if someone who knows more on the subject than i do reads something within this post that is incorrect regarding the practice of voodoo or obeah, please don’t hesitate to let me know ! i also want to note that, characterization-wise, i tend to see calypso as, well, calypso. she as a muse is not actually the priestess persona of tia dalma that she takes on in her human form, who is a practitioner. calypso herself took up the craft only after she was trapped in her human body. especially at first, she sees the practice very much as secondary to her own intrinsic powers, a necessary tool that helps her work around the curse as best she can. calypso sees herself as a goddess first & foremost, & participates in human rites only out of necessity. if she had never been cursed & bound in a human body — & in particular, a Black female body, the power implications of which are obvious — i seriously doubt that she as her goddess self ever would have engaged in the practice. this is why i personally tend to place lesser importance on that aspect of her voodoo or obeah powers that she weilds as tia dalma & focus more on the goddess elements as calypso in my portrayal. that being said ! this ask did inspire me to do just a little bit more research into the subject. & while it’s a very vast topic & i still am definitely not an expert, what i found is that the enslaved people who were brought to the caribbean from Africa developed different practices depending largely on location. voodoo is the most widely known practice outside of the caribbean region, & has a myriad of location-based sub-practices, but was especially concentrated in hati. obeah, as pintel names tia dalma, was originally recorded as being practiced in barbados, but is also well-known in jamaica thanks to the strict laws that prohibited the practice there. obeah is also notably different in that it is an inherited ancestral practice, rather than a learned one. in addition, the Afro-caribbean people in cuba, which is where tia dalma’s shack is located, also developed a practice of their own called santería. but here’s the thing that i think is really important to remember about all of these different practices : all of them were created by the diaspora of enslaved people in the caribbean using their African religions — especially the yoruba & akan religions — as their roots. & in the early days of these practices being developed, which is when calypso would be learning them as well, i think that it’s very unlikely that there would be a super clear-cut distinction between the multiple types of practices in real time. in addition, because of the laws against participating in the craft, as well as the obvious lack of firsthand written material recording the process of formation of these practices, most of their development happened in a way that sadly, it is impossible for us to know today. most of my initial research found the first written recordings of these practices being set in the early 1700s, right around the time that the potc trilogy canon is set, which tells me that while it’s likely they grew for a long while without being recorded, they were still all relatively new, especially in the decades prior to the trilogy when calypso was living & practicing them in her human form. it’s pretty easy for us looking back from the comparative clarity of the present to designate all these different practices out as separate from the start, but i think in the moment they were first being created, it was likely a little messier. i have to imagine there was a not insignificant overlap between them all, particularly at the time of their emergence. finally, one thing i did find in my reading on the topic is that the term “obeah woman” was given as a direct translation for “wise woman,” in a 1787 press letter. this use of the phrase in this context did not actually refer to the particular practice of obeah, but rather referenced the colonized narrative of the African witch. & in typical colonizer fashion, this phrase was frequently used in a derogatory way to call to mind a racist caricature of the “monstrous” Black witch with unexplained supernatural powers. so while it’s possible that the disney writers really did intend for tia to be specifically an obeah practitioner, i think it’s equally ( if not more ) possible that either the writers, or even the character of pintel himself, are just using the phrase generically, the meaning of which was not necessarily meant to reference the specific practice of obeah. i also used the phrase “ human magic “ in that previous post, but only because that’s how calypso thinks of it. however, you’re very right to point out that almost all of these Afro-caribbean practices, including both voodoo & obeah, are based on the spiritual concept of channeling the power of a higher being ( like a spirit or deity ). & this makes me feel like if calypso did ever get the practice properly explained to her by an actual real human practitioner of the craft, rather than just picking up the rites casually for her own purposes, she would actually understand it a lot better. it’s not that the humans are magic, they’re just calling on the power of some of the many higher-beings that exist in the world, who are lending their power temporarily to the practitioner through the rites. that actually makes a lot more sense to her than it just being... some weird kind of human magic, lol. personally, i don’t think that even calypso knows or cares which of these particular human practices she’s using, even if they were very clearly distinct from each other during that time period. she probably picks up most of her rites secondhand after observing them from actual human practitioners. she also probably doesn’t have much respect or understanding for it, at least at first — as i said, it’s just convenient. she doesn’t really get how it works, but she knows that it does make her own power stronger while she’s in her human form. it also gives the humans something to grasp onto with her, an explanation for her power that they can kinda sorta understand & contextualize. it’s much more believable to everyday humans that she’s a practitioner of voodoo or obeah, & nothing more. as far as specific terminology, i think that i will continue mostly using the term voodoo on this blog because it is the most widely known. but in general, given the time period & the nature of the muse, it’s worth noting that calypso herself does not really differentiate between voodoo, obeah, santería, or any other diasporic practices that share common roots with African religions, in spite of the fact that she does participate in the practice herself when living as tia dalma.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED LOTTIE ! you know when i said i wasn’t going to stop until i have something with every single one of your fantastic muses, i meant that. so ! without further ado, here are just some of the muses from your list that i still need to collect, & who i think might vibe well with them based on some very initial thoughts :
● emma woodhouse — with birdie as her art tutor in her own canon, or with margaery as a friend in either her canon or modern verse, or with stede as a potential suitor for either emma or her sister ( it does not go well ) in her caribbean verse !
● jamie fraser — could be fun with melisandre in his asoiaf verse, or with miranda in his caribbean/pirate war verse, or with carlisle when jamie is in carolina maybe ?
● jude varney — might be fun for jude to meet either margaery or katiana during his schooling timeline !
● martha jones — she’s a doctor... carlisle is a doctor... need i say more ?
● morgana pendragon — i just have this feeling that she would be amazing with howl somehow some way, & he could easily be adapted to her canon. or maybe melisandre would be an interesting addition for when morgana is in her revenge era ?
● rachel kinsley — maybe she would be fun with stede, & it could be pretty easy to get them together since she’s a smuggler !
● ruth keegan — she should absolutely meet steve in her stranger things au, js.

● grace hanson — with birdie, who would definitely be one of frankie’s artist friends, or with kariana who could be someone she knows in the business / finance world !
● wolfgang bogdanow — he can try to relieve katiana of some of her father’s wealth, or i could bring izzy into a modern / organized crime verse to work either with or against him.
● amy march — she should meet margaery in her historical verse ! or maybe it would be fun to have her meet stede in his dandy era for a more comedic pairing.
● arwen — wizard howl is literally begging for a lotr au, & i think he would be very much interested in meeting her !
● eomer — i can’t really explain it, but i really think he should meet nymeria. i could put her in a lotr au, or you could drag eomer to asoiaf, either way would work well !
● marianne sheridan — i think marianne needs to meet birdie, as a treat. & i think she would also really like both sarah & rae ! lady friends for marianne ? i think yes.
● wylla manderly — ok but ocean goddess wylla needs to meet ocean goddess calypso, just for fun. also hook her up with nymeria somehow some way, please !
● ally liu — i need ally to meet rae like, stat. & i don’t even have info up for this muse yet, but i think she would really love ola !
● eddie young — i am very curious what eddie would make of both giovanni & brian, so it might be nice to toss him in with my band boys at some point ?

❔ ❔ ❔
● wanahton — with carlisle, obviously, but it might also be fun to pair him against someone like sarah whose canon finds her as an early settler in the americas. or stede might be interesting, if we want a slightly more comedic pairup.
● cersei — with literally any of my asoiaf muses. i think she should have the change to meet melisandre at least once, but writing nymeria with her would be a lot of fun, too.
● sophie — with nadja or carlisle, as vampires do. but it might also be interesting to take calypso’s au where her curse isn’t broken & she lives on in her body after potc canon & throw her in with sophie !
● evan — definitely with nadja, of course, but also i think morticia would just adore her.
● robin — i just love robin, & i really want to write with her, even tho i don’t know how well she would vibe with most my my muses lol. but maybe she could meet katiana when she’s working as a foreign correspondent ? idk really, i just love her !
I am so late to this because I have been so very slow but I have been meaning to jump into your ask and let you know that I have seen you around on my dash thanks to lottie (and now ace), and I have always enjoyed the way you craft your muses. Your writing is so enthralling and engaging and I'm so glad to see you around on the dash. I hope you've been having a good day!
ahhhhh, you're not late, friend, this message came right on time ! this really made my day, thank you so much for your kind words. i will definitely be saving this to reference back to when i have a bad brain day, so i really appreciate you taking the time to send such a sweet message. 💕 also, the admiration from a ( slight ) distance through our wonderful mutual friends is very much returned, so how about we just cut out the middlemen & be proper friends already, ok ? ok. yay, friends !

ok so, full disclosure before i start : i’ve never actually seen d.mtnt, so i don’t actually know a ton of details about henry’s arc within his canon. but like, why would i need canon when i have your portrayal in my life, right ? the amount of thought & care you put into henry is so obvious, so even though i might need to do a little plotting, i’d totally love to interact with you ( & him ) ! & here are some suggestions on how : ● calypso — i think that after awe, calypso would be pretty done with humans for awhile. however, i have talked with others before about an au in which she wasn’t successfully freed but jones was still defeated, so maybe it would be fun to have her still hanging out as tia dalma during the events of d.mtnt ? or, alternatively, maybe henry finds a way to summon her or something to help with the events of d.mtnt & drags her into it somehow ? idk, we would have to do some plotting to make it work, but like... we should. ● stede — i cannot fully explain it ( something something lighthouse imagery ) but these two are on the same wavelength & they should meet ! i think it would be hilarious for stede to get caught up in some kind of pirate adventures even bigger than himself, so maybe during or after the events of d.mtnt he could get involved somehow, or visit shipwreck cove while henry is there post-movie. alternatively, i know that in his teenage years henry was with the navy, ( right ? ), so maybe in that verse he could be on an english ship that’s after stede ? there is some some plotting required here but. i just think they would vibe. ● izzy — i mean, i’m not sure if they would like each other very much lmao but they were both in the navy, so... this would have to be a younger izzy & a younger henry, which could be interesting. izzy as his superior officer for a brief time maybe ? & then maybe we could even have them meet again later on ? idk, like i said, i’m not positive they would even like each other, but it could be interesting since they do have that shared experience. ● miranda — i’ve been dragging my feet on writing her properly but i think that miranda barlow would really like henry ! & i could honestly see her being a friend of elizabeth’s while henry was growing up ? idk, this is vague but i just think she would like him & it would be cool for them to meet somehow. ● margaery — maybe in a regency au ? i really have no concrete thoughts for this combo, i just get the vibe that they would get along !
Beep, beep! Do you know how amazing you are? Befriending you has been one of the highlights of my year. Whether it's plotting like mad men or shooting the shit ooc, talking with you every day is something I look forward to. You're an amazing person and I'm very blessed to have you in my life.
ace !! you total & utter gift of a human being, did you know that i love you just so so much ? did you know that i smile every time i see your screenname pop up bc i know it's probably going to be a random yet incredibly thoughtful question about a nuanced aspect of my muses, a cute animal picture, or just a beloved friend checking on on how my day is going ? did you know that your friendliness & open minded nature is honestly so inspiring to me ? did you know that i don't even mind when you relentlessly peer pressure me into a new muse or verse because i know it's just gonna end up with us having a great time coming up with some new harebrained plot to explore ? did you know that you're basically impossible to dislike, & i am so so glad we became honest-to-goodness close friends this year ? well i hope you know now. thanks for being exactly who you are, & for sharing who you are with me. i'm so grateful to know you, i adore you to pieces & i can't wait to see what kind of ridiculous plot decisions we pressure each other into exploring in the new year. 💕
