their paths intertwined once,
[The Sleeping Prince and The Ice Princess].
-- back then when the little canary still sung of [fairytales and dreams],
when the bud had not yet been overtaken by the [thorns of hollowness], and
when the [Sleeping Prince] still dreamt of [wishes];
-- back then when the little snowdrop had not yet [bloomed into Spring],
when the snowflake had not yet wished of the [warmth of Summer], and
when the [Ice Princess] still had a [frozen heart].
