Imagine: Jinx helping you?đ

Rating: PG forâŠangst and fluff!
All you could see was destruction around you. Bodies of those Piltover soldiers lay lifelessly around you. Another battle against them. Apparently, Jinx had overused her explosives a little, causing a chain reaction with her supply, making the whole building you were in explode. And you had gotten caught in the middle of it. You try to push yourself up with your arms but they felt weakâŠinjured. Laying back down on the ground, you could see someone rush over to you, pulling you into their lapâŠit was Jinx. âY/n! Itâs okay! Iâm here, Iâm here!â, You glance up, seeing her worried pink colored eyes stare into your own. You canât help but smile faintly. All you could do was whisper. âJinxâŠI toldâŠyou not to overuse your...weaponsâŠyour ammunition...â, Jinx frowns slightly, pushing a strand of your hair out of your face. âI know, I knowâŠI got carried away! But donât worry! Iâll get you back on your feet!â, Jinx cradles your body, standing to her own feet as she carries you, bridal-style, your weight being nothing to her as she carries you back to her private quarters, at the âLast Dropâ. Upon entering, she places you onto her bed, analyzing your body for any major wounds you may have.
Since there were none, with only a few cuts and bruises on your arm and head, Jinx grabs this syringe full of Shimmer, injecting it into your shoulder. You could feel the serum working as you cringe, with your cuts and bruises already starting to heal up. âThereâŠthat should do itâŠâ, Jinx mutters to herself, proud of her âhandiworkâ as she puts the syringe away, grabbing a stool to sit nearby you. She grabs her gun, tooling away on it. âYâknowâŠwe should do this more oftenâŠâ, You sit up, hearing her words as you looks to her. âSaving each otherâs ass?â, Jinx chuckles. âYeah, yeahâŠsomething like thatâŠI help you and you help meâŠa win-win kind of thingâŠâ, You nod to her. âMmmâŠI seeâŠbut Iâm being real Jinx--â, You sit up fully to face her, your legs hanging off the bed. âI donât want anything to happen to youâŠâ, Jinx nods, her face turning solemn as she puts her gun off to the side. âYeah I knowâŠsame goes for youâŠâ, She scoots her stool closer to you. âHow do yah feel?â, You look to your arm, seeing your cuts were gone, the bruises fading away, also feeling your head to feel no cuts there either. âBetterâŠâ, Jinx takes your hand in hers. âNo matter whatâŠIâll be here for you...ââ, She gestures to you, wanting you to finish the sentence, as you canât help but smile. "âAnd youâll be here for meâŠâ, Jinx wraps an arm around you, embracing you lightly before letting go, standing to her feet.
âNow, Iâm off to go take care of some businessâŠyou need restâŠthe Shimmer will probably dissolve in an hour or twoâŠand youâll be on your feet in no time!â, She gently grasps your shoulder, making you lay back down onto the bed. âJust lemme know if you need anythingâŠIâll just be downstairs!â, You could only nod to her, feeling her give you a quick peck on the forehead, watching her as she leaves out the door. You could feel your exhaustion start to develop as your eyes grow heavy, starting to close them as you slowly drift into slumber. You were glad to be on Jinxâs side, being able to help her while she helped you in return. This would be a good outcome for the both of you.
The End!
Hopefully you enjoyed! If you liked it, then I thank you! It may be a bit rushed, but like I said, it went POOF onto my mind!

[A/N]: This is my first time posting a story on this site, so please bear with me if the formatting is a little weird. Iâll try to edit it later to make it easier to read, lol.
Enjoy!
Even though they were hundreds of feet above the water and bridge beneath them, that wasn't what was causing [Y/N]'s anxiety. She had been up here before, multiple times in fact, with her "friend" Jinx. They always came up here to relax and spend time together, just talking and sharing jokes or their favorite moments from their day. It had been so normal for so long, but recently Jinx had begun to make the conversation a little strange. They'd crack jokes with each other for a while, but then when they started talking about their day, Jinx would make an effort to ask about [Y/N]'s first. And when it was her turn to share, all she ever talked about was spending time with the [h/c] girl. In all honesty, it was making [Y/N] uncomfortable. Why was Jinx being so adamant about talking about her? She wasn't anything special. She was just a friendâa coworkerâan assistant. Could she possibly be...? No, that was crazy. [Y/N] didn't even like her that way, why would she feel that way about her?
And oh, how badly Jinx wanted to let her know that wasn't true. She had brought her up here to confess anyway, so she figured she could come clean about everything.
Well, not everything. Some things are better left unsaid.
For example, she probably shouldn't tell her about how she stalked her over the past few months. Ever since she met the [h/c] girlâby total accidentâshe was hooked. In love. Obsessed. She just couldn't let her walk out of her life the way everyone else had done. So, in order to show her love before getting too serious (to not scare her off), she started sending gifts to [Y/N] and leaving little notes with words of pure affirmation. 'You may not know me personally quite yet, but I have to let you know that you're forever mine." "Since the day I met you, my life has never been the same." "You're my dream girl. Once we meet, you'll never be able to leave me." "I dream about you every night. I'm obsessed with you." Just short phrases that got her point across. Until one day, she sent a full letter.
  "Hey toots,
I'd ask how you're doing today, but I already know. I've been keeping close tabs on you, but it's nothing weird, I promise. Just wanna make sure you're safe and aren't struggling. I'm sure by now you've noticed all the gifts landing on your doorstep. Some of them anyway. The blankets and stuff I left on your bed. Oh, and don't worry about how I got in. I promise I would never steal from you. I'll cut to the chase here. Silco is searching for new recruits, and I suggested you as my lab assistant! He said he's gotta meet you before he makes any big decisions or whatever, so you'd better get your cute little butt over here for an interview! Can't wait to see ya!
    -Jinx"
[Y/N] didn't take up on her offer right away. After all, Jinx and Silco were known to be ruthless when it came to their employees. And, even though she hated living here in the undercity, she certainly didn't want to die for making a small mistake and accidentally upsetting them. Each day, Jinx came into Silco's office and asked if a certain [h/c] girl had come in for an interview, only to feel crushed when told that, no, no one had come in that matched her description. Enraged that [Y/N] hadn't listened to her, Jinx's stalking became more aggressive. Instead of only finding her in public places like The Last Drop, she followed her around almost everywhere she went. From the moment she left her house, [Y/N] had a very infatuated blue-haired girl trailing after her just a few meters behind.
After a couple of days, Jinx even found herself watching through the window of [Y/N]'s house until she could see that she was asleep and safe. She knew what the girl was doing every day. What she ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, what time she went to work, who she talked to, everything. She made a mental list of all the men and women who even remotely appeared to be flirting with her and made sure they'd never be able to interfere with her again. To her, everyone else was competition for [Y/N]'s love. Finally, after growing tired of this, Jinx sent her another note that simply said:
"I won't ask again. You will be my partner. Show up at Silco's office and tell him I sent you, or you'll regret ignoring me."
Once remembering exactly what Jinx was capable of, [Y/N] finally gave in and got herself an interview at Silco's office, afraid she might not have much longer to live if she didn't. Little did she know, a certain admirer of hers was watching from the platform on the ceiling. After a while of talkingâand silent, pleading glares from JinxâSilco agreed to give [Y/N] an opportunity to work for him. But only on the condition that she follow his every orderâone of which was to obey Jinx when in the lab. Over the next few weeks, Jinx managed to grow closer to the girl, seemingly not realizingâpossibly due to her delusionsâ that [Y/N] had absolutely no interest in being friends with her. She ignored the voices warning her to back off.
After a while of working on countless projects together, Jinx finally managed to steel her nerves and send [Y/N] yet another letter. This time, she asked her to meet her in their usual spot, which is where they were now: standing on the scaffolding above the bridge in the city. It was near midnight. Jinx figured that with how late it was, there would be a very low chance of someone ruining the moment. Not that it would matterâshe'd easily take care of it, though she'd feel slightly regretful for it. In the time she had gotten to know [Y/N], she had killed plenty of people who went against her or Silco's wishes. Some of which took place in front of the [h/c] girl. When she'd look back at [Y/N] to make sure she was okay, she could see the horror in her eyes. Oh, how she hated causing that look. She wanted her to be happy! Not scared!
"[Y/N], I gotta be honest with you. You make me so damn happy. I know we barely met a few months ago, but you're my whole world, toots. I...I love you, and I wanna make you happy. You deserve everything you've ever wanted, and with how well Silco provides for me, I can assure you I'd make you the happiest girl in the world. You're just so beautiful and kind, and...you deserve someone who will protect you at all costs. Even though you might not believe it, I will do whatever I can to keep you safe." She pauses, sucking in a deep breath. "So whaddya say? Do you love me too?"
[Y/N] stared in slight shock, not expecting this. She had told herself it was a possibility, but shut that thought down real quick. She didn't love her back. She couldn'tânot after everything she had done. She blinked, meeting Jinx's gaze again, who was staring back expectantly. Jinx was hoping, praying, that her feelings would be reciprocated. Her head was tilted to the side, a faint blush dusting her cheeks and creeping up to her ears as she nervously chewed on her bottom lip. She was very fidgety. Her hands were twitching and fiddling with her loose strands of hair, occasionally popping her knuckles, her leg bouncing. It was visibly obvious that whatever [Y/N] said in reply would control her next move.
[Y/N]'s mouth opened and shut a few times, unsure of what to say. She couldn't form the right words. How could she let her down easily? Should she even let her down? Would other people get hurt because of her decision? She internally sighed. She couldn't risk others getting hurt for her sake, even if she knew they were horrible people. If it meant no one would get hurt for her sake, [Y/N] was willing to sacrifice her freedom. She looked down at the bridge below. Trying to give herself a moment to put on a convincing act, she watched the small, colorful dots that were people. If she didn't pull off her act successfully, anyone down there could be Jinx's next victim.
She finally looked back up at Jinx with a smile, which made the girl's eyes light up. "Of course I do, Jinx." Jinx smiled, but it quickly dropped after a moment of faltering. "Say it." Her tone was unusually cold towards her. [Y/N] raised an eyebrow, tilting her head. "What? Say what?" "Tell me you love me. I need to hear you say it to believe it." The [h/c] girl froze, a nervous bead of cold sweat forming on the back of her neck. "I-I..." As she struggled to "admit" her feelings, Jinx's gaze hardened, her brows furrowing tightly together. "Say it." [Y/N] swallowed the lump in her throat. 'Say it, or she'll kill you.' Forcing that smile again that didn't quite reach her eyes, [Y/N] grabbed Jinx's hand and gave it a soft squeeze. "I love you, Jinx."
Jinx didn't say anything for a momentâdidn't even have the slightest visible reaction. Her eyes flickered around the girlâs face in search of any sign of a lie. Finally, as if the words barely processed in her mind, a large grin broke out across her lips in an almost menacing manner. "Oh, sweets, you make me so happy." Without any warning, she cupped the [h/c] girl's face and closed the distance between them with a kiss that was a little too rough to be considered sincere. [Y/N] didn't even have a chance to react before Jinx leaned back and pulled her in by the waist for a tight hug. Her slender hand came up, long painted nails entangling themselves into the [h/c] locks she had ached to caress for months. "I love you so much, [Y/N]. You have no idea what I'd do for you." [Y/N] swallowed. She did know. She had seen it right before her eyes more than once. She knew that Jinx wouldn't hesitate to kill for her, even if she begged her not to.
She was brought out of her thoughts as Jinx's hold on her waist tightened to a painful degree. "Why aren't you hugging me back?" Again, her tone was cold. [Y/N] jumped slightly and quickly returned her embrace. Jinx relaxed slightly in her hold, slowly beginning to sway the two of them side to side. Her nose buried itself into the crook of [Y/N]'s neck. She drew in a deep breath, seeming to take in the [h/c] girl's scent. Oh, that intoxicating scent of hers...so comforting. So...addicting.
How she longed for this momentâthis close contact. All those weeks of spending time with her and getting to know her interests and hobbies finally paid off. Here she wasâholding her after finding that her feelings were mutual. This was the girl she wanted to spend the rest of her days with. She wanted to marry her and keep her happy until the day they died. And never again would Jinx tolerate anyone flirting with [Y/N]--not that she ever did. [Y/N] was hers.
Her heart fluttered at that thought. It repeated itself over and over again in her mind, drowning out the other voices swarming her brain and satisfying her obsessive tendencies. âSheâs all mine. No one will ever take her from me. She wonât leaveâshe canât. I wonât let her.â Her smile grew. âYouâre mine, toots. Donât ever forget that.â

[A/N]: This was heavily inspired by another post I read somewhere, but Iâm not sure which site it was on. If I find it again, Iâll definitely leave a link! I did add my own twist, so itâs not the same thing, but the general idea is shared.
Enjoy!
âPiss off, you douchebags! I donât have time to deal with you!â None of this was supposed to happen. [Y/N] wasnât even supposed to be on this mission with Jinx, but she was, and now they were separated. No matter where she looked, Jinx just couldnât seem to find her anywhere. She had to be around here somewhere, right? Thereâs no way she got that far from her. Each time she turned a corner, there were more thugs waiting to pick a fight, never once answering her when she asked where the [h/c] girl was. It was causing her anxiety to spike more and more. If she didnât find her soon, sheâd end up killing everyone in sight, which ran the risk of killing her beloved as well. Just as she finished taking down a small group of men with her shock pistol, a scream rang outâone that she recognized instantly.
â[Y/N]? [Y/N], where are you?!â She looked around, only having the sound reverberate long enough to get the general direction. â[Y/N]!â She took a few steps towards the cross-section of two buildings. Was it from the left or right? Thankfully, another scream sounded out from her left, seemingly from the fifth or sixth floor of the building closest to her. âJinx, help! Please!â Her heart raced in her chest as she bolted as fast as she could up the stairs and into the room she could hear movement in. A group of around fifteen thugs surrounded someone on the floor, and as she realized who was on the ground, Jinxâs heart dropped. She froze momentarily. She wanted to doubt herself, hoping that it was someone else in front of the crowd. But a small glimpse of [h/c] locks and fearful [e/c] eyes confirmed her worst nightmare. â[Y/N]! GET AWAY FROM HER!â She pushed her shock pistol back into its holster before pulling her minigun out from behind her.
She made sure to aim higher than where [Y/N] was resting before firing, not wanting to accidentally hit the girl. Bullets rang out at a rapid speed, each one causing a member of the thugs to drop like flies. She cried out angrily until realizing everyone standing was dead. Taking a shaky breath to ground herself into reality, she lowered the barrel of her gun and panted heavily. Slowly, her gaze dropped down to find [Y/N]. Once again, her racing heart skipped a beat upon seeing her state. She ran over after tossing her gun to the side. Without taking her wounds into account, Jinx cradled [Y/N]âs head against her chest and let out a sigh. âI-Iâm so glad youâre alive, toots. I-I thoughtâI thoughtâŠâ She finally looked down.
Her pained smile faltered and quickly fell. The love of her life, still cradled in her arms, was in so much pain. A deep cut had been made from the top of her left collarbone all the way down to her right breast. Multiple stab wounds scattered themselves around the girlâs abdomen, each one seemingly worse than the last. Because of all of the wounds on her torso, [Y/N] had blood dripping down from her nose and lips to her chin, where it dripped off even more into a small stain on both the floor and Jinxâs shirt. Still, even in her state of distressing pain, [Y/N] was smiling. She lifted her hand shakily and brought it up to Jinxâs face to cup it. âY-YouâreâŠhere.â Jinx quickly grasped the girlâs hand in her own as she softly shushed her.
âHey, d-donât talk right now, okay? Y-You need to save your strength. I canât lose you.â [Y/N] chuckled, which quickly shifted into fits of coughing up blood. Jinx could only watch in horror. Finally, when she calmed down, the wounded girl leaned back into Jinxâs chest and smiled. âIâm notâŠgoing to make it, Jinx.â Both of them felt then, at those words, just how cold the room had become, andâmore importantlyâhow warm the other girl was. God, how badly Jinx wanted to preserve that feeling. She never wanted to wake up without feeling that warmth next to herâcradled into her chest the way she was now.
And what a horrid way to go. So many wounds, all of which were likely fatal. Sure, Jinx had known pain in her life, but nothing like what [Y/N] was going through. If only she could take away that pain. She had always sworn she would do whatever she could in her power to ensure [Y/N] was happy and healthy. She certainly didnât want things to end up this way. But here she was, supporting the girlâs weight against her own as she bled out, the light slowly beginning to dim in her eyes. That beautiful light that she had always adored. It always seemed to shine brightest when she looked at Jinx, or even when her name was just mentioned. Jinx chuckled dejectedly. [Y/N] had always seen her in such a positive light. She could never understand how, but she sort of understood because she felt the same way.
Jinx gently laid [Y/N] back down onto the ground, earning a hiss of pain. âI know, toots, I know. But I need to start treating these wounds before itâs too late.â âJinx, itâs alreadyââ âDonât say itâs too late. I-I can fix this! You just need to trust me, okay? I promise Iâll fix this.â Ignoring the desperate tugs on her shirt (and the voices telling her she messed everything up), Jinx ripped the bottom part of the leg of her pants off to form a makeshift bandage. She tied it around the girlâs waist, cursing under her breath when she realized the cloth wasnât long enough. She thought about using her belt for a moment to cut off the bleeding, but then remembered that itâs not safe to use a tourniquet of any kind on the torso. âDamn it!â She rolled the cloth into a tight ball before placing it over one of the deeper wounds on [Y/N]âs stomach and applying as much pressure as possible in an attempt to stop some of the bleeding.
[Y/N] groaned out in pain again, drawing another apology from Jinxâs lips. She stayed there for a moment. As she held the cloth in place, she thought about other ways she could treat her wounds. And, as much as she tried to dismiss the thought, she didâfor a momentâconsider experimenting with Shimmer. She was terrified at the thought of how badly [Y/N]âs body might react to it, but even more so at the thought of losing her completely. Silco would have to understand. Anything to keep her alive.
Drawn out of her thoughts by another round of coughing, Jinx finally glared back over at [Y/N], who looked even more disheveled than before. Her face was devoid of any color. Skin clammy and cold, shivers coursing through her body. Panicked, Jinx dropped the cloth and moved back over to hold the girlâs head against her chest again. âShh, hey, heyâŠlisten, toots. Can youâcan you hear me?â The smallest nod of her head gave Jinx a slight sense of hope. âYou canât die on me. You just canât, okay? You gotta keep living for me. I-I canât lose you. Youâre too damn important to me. We gotta keep going so we can get married and rule the undercity together, remember? Y-You know I canât keep living without you. JustâŠjust keep your eyes open until we can get help, alright? Thatâs all you gotta do. Keep breathing, and donât go to sleep.â
A sad chuckle passed weakly through [Y/N]âs lips. âCan IâŠbe honest with you, Jinx?â Jinx forced a smile as convincingly as she could. âOf course, sweets. You know I always want you to be honest with me.â [Y/N] smiled, but Jinx quickly frowned again as tears poured down the [h/c] girlâs cheeks like rivers. âIâmâŠIâm scared, Jinx. Iâm so scared. I donâtââ She coughed againâharder this time. âI donât want to die. NotâŠnot like this.â With each passing word, Jinxâs heart was shattering into more and more pieces. âNo, toots, youâre not going to die. I promise.â Again, [Y/N] shook her head. âYes, I am.â âNo, youâyou canât. I wonât let you.â âJinx, IâmâŠIâm going to die.â She quieted her voice to speak with less strain. âWe both know it.â Jinx shook her head harshly, pulling [Y/N]âs head further against her.
The girl, now barely hanging on by a thread, could hear her loverâs heartbeat racing faster than ever before. They stayed there as sobs racked through Jinxâs body. She trembled and jolted as she continuously begged and pleaded for [Y/N] not to leave her. Finally, [Y/N] gripped her shirt to gain her attention. Terrified that sheâd see the light leaving her eyes, Jinx hesitated before looking down. [Y/N] still had that smileâthe one she fell in love with all those years ago. âI donât want to be alone, Jinx,â she whispered as her own tears began to flow. That fearâoh, that fear in her eyesâJinx wanted to crush it. If she had to go, she didnât want her to be afraid. But what could she say that would make this more comforting? She couldnât say the pain would go away because it clearly wouldnât. And she couldnât promise an afterlife because no one knew for sure if that even existed.
She thought of all she could possibly say before finally whispering a soft, âYouâre not alone, toots. Iâm here, okay? Iâm right here.â She leaned down and pressed her forehead against [Y/N]âs as gently as she could. âYouâre not alone.â [Y/N]âs smile grew for a moment as they stayed there. When Jinx pulled back, however, that smile was gone, and her eyes were now closed. Jinxâs heart stopped this time. â[Y/N]...?â She shook her gently. â[Y/N], hey, no. [Y/N], please wake up. PleaseâŠ? I-I canâtâŠplease donât leave me. Stay with me. I canât lose you, dammit! Come back to me!â A few more violent shakes with no response finally grounded Jinx into reality. [Y/N] was really gone.
She clutched the girlâs head and shoulders and drove them even further against herâas close as she physically couldâas she let out a scream of agony and sorrow. She heaved with every sob as she rocked back and forth. Her hands shook violently as she brought them down after several moments to cradle [Y/N]âs pale, lifeless face in them. This couldnât be reality. She had already lost so much at such a young ageâshe didnât deserve to experience this all over again! She was supposed to live out a happy life with [Y/N] and find ways to cope with her trauma in a healthy way. But now it was all in vain. Without [Y/N] by her side, sheâd never be able to stay sane againâeven with Silco there to support her. Could she have prevented this?
Of course she couldâveâshe told herself. If she had found the girl sooner, she wouldnât have been attacked. Or if she had just never let them get separated, she wouldâve been able to keep a better eye on her. Orâbetter yetâif [Y/N] had just never come on this mission with her at all, there never wouldâve been a risk.
But of courseâshe knewâthere always wouldâve been a risk. After all, [Y/N] was the lover of the most feared and hated girl in the undercity. This meant, in turn, she was also hated and feared. It was almost destiny.

A small hum of content made its way from Jinxâs lips as she nuzzled her face into the source of warmth in front of her. She took a deep breath in, enjoying the scent of the shampoo [Y/N] had used to shower the night before. âGood morning, toots.â A small yawn came from the girl in front of her. âMorning,â [Y/N] mumbled out, her voice slurring a bit. âDid you sleep well?â âMhm.â âMe too.â Jinx sighed and tightened her arms around the girlâs waist, pulling her further into her chest. She closed her eyes to let herself enjoy the warmth and softness [Y/N] provided for her. She adored these blissful, intimate moments the most. Any time she could just be alone and comfortable with [Y/N] made her the happiest. Sure, she loved showing her off to others, but she knew how important it was to also have a private part of the relationshipâone that no one else could disturb or ruin.
[Y/N] stirred in front of her for a moment, eventually shifting over onto her opposite side so she was now facing Jinx. And oh, god, did Jinxâs heart flutter when she saw her beautiful face. Her features always so comforting and affectionate. She cherished each little microexpression that altered her face: each soft, sheepish smile that was followed by a faint blush creeping up to her ears, each look of confusion that had her eyebrows furrowed tightly together, every moment she pouted and stuck out her bottom lipâeven the way her face contorted with anger. She hated being the cause of her negative emotions, but she still found her expressions beautiful nonetheless. How [Y/N] managed to always look so alluring was a mystery, but Jinx definitely wasnât complaining. It fascinated her beyond belief. She would stare at her forever if she had the chance.
She groaned, however, upon remembering her project for the day. How she longed to just stay in bed and hold [Y/N]. She considered it for a moment, but quickly shut herself down when realizing her deadline was approaching soon. If she didnât get this new weapon built when Silco asked, sheâd only be piling projects on top of each other, which would make her stress much worse. She unfastened the arm draped on top of [Y/N]âs waist and brought her hand up to caress her face. As her thumb tenderly stroked over her cheek, the [h/c] girlâs eyes fluttered open. âHate to break it to you, toots, but Iâve gotta get up.â Instead of pouting the way Jinx had expected, [Y/N] nodded and closed her eyes before wriggling out from her embrace.
Jinx, after taking a moment to stretch properly, got out of bed and got dressed for the day. As she headed out the door, she paused, considering something. Finally, she turned around a bit to properly glance at [Y/N], whose back was now facing her. â[Y/N]?â She called softly. A small hum came as a response, barely audible. âWanna join me in the workshop today? I could use some company.â Silence filled the space between them, making Jinx believe that maybe the other girl had already fallen asleep again. She was about to call her name a second time to repeat her question, but [Y/N] suddenly sat up and yawned. âYeah, sure. Iâll be there in a minute.â Jinx smiled and nodded, heading out the door and over to her workspace.
She sat down and started working after turning on some music. She hummed along to the tune, already getting lost in her work and failing to notice a certain [h/c] girlâs footsteps lightly approaching her. [Y/N] sat on the extra stool over by a separate table. She rubbed her eyes groggily, her body begging and aching for her to go back to sleep. âHey,â she called out after a moment. Jinx jumped, startled by a sudden voice. She turned her head around to show she had acknowledged the girl before looking back down at her equipment. When she got no response, she sighed. She could already feel herself growing irritated. [Y/N] knew how busy she was, so why did she always have to distract her?
âWhat is it, toots?â Another moment of silence passed, only fueling Jinxâs newfound anger. âAre we going to talk about what happened yesterday?â Jinx froze, grip on her screwdriver now so tight her knuckles were turning white. She shut her eyes tightly for a second. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she began working again, now with unsteady hands. âThereâs nothing to talk about. We worked things out last night before bed. Move on.â [Y/N] grimaced at her cold tone. She had grown accustomed to it during arguments, sure, but it didnât mean she liked it. âBut that argument was really bad, Jinx. Worse than usual. IâmâŠâ She fiddled with the hem of her shirt. âIâm worried weâre not going to last much longer at this rate.â
A loud banging sounded from Jinxâs desk, prompting [Y/N] to look over in confusion. Jinx had slammed her invention and screwdriver down out of frustration. âI said move on, [Y/N].â The girl stood from the isolated stool and crossed her arms. âNo! We need to talk about this whether you want to or not. Ignoring the problem isnât going to make it go away.â Jinx growled, standing up and twirling around the chair so fast it almost tipped over. She bolted to stand in front of [Y/N], who cowered a bit at her seething gaze. âWhy donât you ever just listen to me? Are you trying to cause even more problems?â [Y/N] sighed, looking down to steel her nerves. She knew bringing it up would only spark the flame again, but she had made it her goal to make communication the most important part of their rocky relationship.
âYou know thatâs not what Iâm trying to do. You know me, Jinx. You act like you do anyway. And if you even paid attention to me at all, youâd know that I hate any kind of conflict. But in order to avoid that this time, we have to talk things out, okay?â Jinx scoffed, pinching the bridge of her nose. âNo. We donât have to do shit. Youâre just pathetic. You think thereâs a solution to every little flaw.â
The already cold air of the room became frigid, the atmosphere now thick with tension. Aside from the music playing quietly in the background and the occasional tick of the large fan below, there was silence. Uncomfortable silence. [Y/N]âs head began to ache. It was far too early in the morning to be arguing. Maybe she shouldâve just stayed in bed after all. Then nothing wouldâve happened. They could both just ignore each other until it was time to go to bed like usual. But [Y/N] knew it was going to be brought up again at some point if she followed through with her goal of proper communication, and she believed it was better now than never. She wasnât sure, though, if sheâd rather have this discussion in the bedroom so no one could disturb them until a solution was made, or if she was fine with standing in the workshop that Jinx seemed to take priority of over her.
âJust find a way to deescalate the situation before it gets worse,â she told herself. âStay calm, donât raise your voice, and watch what you say.â Even as [Y/N] stayed mostly silent throughout the rest of the one-sided argument, her expressions gave away what she was feelingâthose same expressions that Jinx admired for so long. She could tell Jinx wasnât going to back downânot with how badly she wanted to win the argument. She always wanted to be right. And it wasnât just as simple as her wanting to be right. She truly did believe, in situations like these anyway, that she was always right, which is why the solution they agreed on usually only appealed and benefited Jinx.
As it continued, Jinxâs volume only got louder and louder. She stepped closer, finally, and [Y/N] forced her backwards as a reflex, afraid she was about to be hit. Jinx paused, registering the motion. Before she could apologize, [Y/N] was shoved down onto the ground. âDonât you lay your fucking hands on me! Thatâs why we never agree on anything! You always mess everything up! And you know why that is? Because youâre nothing more than a mistake!â Right as the words left her mouth, Jinx froze, her expression shifting from outrage to one of pure regret. Her emotions only grew as she watched tears prick [Y/N]âs eyes, bubbling up until they finally spilled down in thick masses. Without breaking eye contact, the [h/c] girl stood and dusted herself off. âMaybe this relationship was a mistake too.â
She turned on her heel and left the room with her shoulders slumped in defeat. Jinx felt herself reaching out, but she was too lateâthe damage had already been done. Her mind had already been racing long before she uttered those words, but now it was worse. She couldnât form a single word. The voices swarmed in her mind, scolding her, reminding her of all her failures before. They mocked herâthe nicer ones listing all the different ways she couldâve handled the situation.
Should she apologize? Would [Y/N] even listen to her? She sobbed as she came to the realization that she possibly ruined their relationship for good. Any minute now, [Y/N] would come back and break the news that theyâre doneâthe relationship is over. She curled into herself once bundling up on her bed. She waited for hours for [Y/N] to come in and give her the harsh reality of the consequences she had been avoiding for so long.
Only those words never came from her lips. Instead, a small, folded note was left on her desk out in the workshop. She unfolded it with a shaky breath.
Jinx,
I would apologize for the way that argument ended, but Iâm not at fault. You are. I stand by what I said before leaving. This relationship was a mistake, just like meâaccording to you. Iâm moving back home. Iâll stop by in a few days once youâve cooled down so I can gather my belongings, but donât bother meeting or talking to me. I donât need your help or your fake apologies. Good luck on whatever it is Silco is having you create. I guess weâll see just how horrible you can make others feel if youâre successful. May we never speak again.
-[Y/N]
Sobs wracked her body once more as she collapsed to her knees, clutching the note tightly against her chest. She screwed everything up. She always does. It was no surprise that she messed this up tooâit was only temporary: temporary bliss, temporary loveâŠShe didnât deserve any of it either way. Maybe [Y/N] was right. Maybe the relationship was a mistake after all. Did she even make [Y/N] happy? Was there actually any love? She hiccupped, wiping away at her tears with her available handâthough it didnât help as they kept pouring. Her mind flooded with ideas on how to fix the situation, only to be followed by the fact there was no fixing this. It was her mistake, and now she had to face the consequences.

âAlrighty, toots, I think Iâm gonna head to bed. You wanna come with, or you gonna stay up a bit longer?â You turned your head over to glance at Jinx, watching as she repeatedly turned her chair partially back and forth with her eyes fixed on you. Smiling warmly, you shrugged. âWell, Iâm not tired just yet, and I wanted to finish this book,â you started, watching from the corner of your eye as she seemed to slump down at your words already. âBut I can just keep reading in bed.â
Jinx stood and let out a small cheer, trotting over to you and gently taking ahold of your wrist to tug you toward the bedroom you often crashed in. Ever since you had grown close to the âloose cannonâ of the undercity, things in your life had rapidly changed. It started off simple â you would spend far more time hanging out with her than anyone else. Then, as things started to develop between the two of you, you began staying the night almost every night with Jinx cuddled up against you as you slept. Even when she couldnât sleep, you could feel her arms wrapped around your shoulders while she traced random patterns against your skin.
When Jinx had told Silco of your relationship, you feared the worst, already preparing to write your will or find a way to escape his wrath. Surprisingly, though, he was rather accepting. When you asked Jinx about it in private, she told you she believed it was because he had seen how happy she had been ever since you showed up. A few days later, her theory was confirmed when Silco had called you into his office to set rules about dealing with Jinx and her issues with trust.
He warned you that Jinx could get extremely clingy and would get overprotective of you, which you had already noticed she had begun to do, so you simply nodded. He continued to speak of things such as her hallucinations and wish to keep her past a secret. You agreed to all of the terms he had set to be with his daughter, unaware of the figure stationed above you on her usual platform. Her eyes were trained solely on you, legs swinging back and forth as she let herself rest on her stomach. With her head cradled in her palms, a wide grin made its way to her lips as you calmly agreed to take care of her.
It seemed, however, that she had done the opposite, meaning she seemed to take care of you more than the other way around. More often than not, if you were outside of her hideout, it would come across more as possessive than anything. Sheâd blurt out insults and impulsively pick fights with people who threatened or flirted with you.
Once they realized who they were dealing with, they backed off instantly. The few poor souls who decided to test their luck suddenly went missing, as well as Jinx for a short time, and then were never seen or heard from again. You had learned to come to terms with her reckless and apathetic behavior towards outsiders rather quickly.
âTrinket? Hello? You in there, or⊠did ya leave this planet?â You blinked, glancing back over at the blue-haired girl as she waved her hand in your face.
âHm? Oh, sorry. I was just thinking about whatâs going on in my book. Iâm near the end, so everything is getting chaotic.â She snickered and hooked her arm around your shoulders as she led you into the bedroom. âAh, then youâll have to let me borrow that book sometime. You know I love a bit of chaos. Or a lot of it.â You smiled at her and rolled your eyes, playfully bumping against her and earning another chuckle.
As she plopped down to sit in her spot on the bed, she watched you silently while you flipped your book back open and sat on the other side of the mattress. Once you had leaned back against the pillows, it didnât take long before you felt a head land gently on your shoulder. A quick look down let you know Jinx had already bundled up under the covers and shuffled over to cuddle against you for the night. With weary eyes, she peered down at the pages of your book, briefly skimming over the short excerpt of the story she could see.
Soon after, she let out a yawn and tucked her head further against your neck. âGânight, sweets. Love you.â You beamed down at her and pressed a small kiss to the top of her head. âLove you too, hun. Sleep well.â
By the time you had finally woken back up the next day, Jinx had already been up for a few hours. She hadnât left the bed, but she was tracing patterns and words into your arms and back. When you shifted and yawned, she smiled and perked up rather quickly, sitting up in her spot and peeking down at you. Once you had rolled over to look her in the eye, her grin only grew. âMorninâ, toots. Did you sleep well?â You nodded and sat up, yawning again.
âYeah, what about you?â She shrugged and toyed with the hem of your sleeve. âEh, I slept okay. I got kinda restless after a while and woke up, and then I couldnât go back to sleep.â
You nodded at her words. After a while of you trying to keep your eyes open, you felt Jinx lean against you and tug you close. âI donât wanna leave to go work on those stupid experiments,â she confessed with a frown. âI just want to stay in here with you. I wish I could come down with you to your job instead.â With a small smirk, you raised a brow and glared over at her. âOh? And whyâs that?â She smirked back at you and slipped her hand down to lace your fingers with her own. ââCause I could keep you safe. I could beat up all the pervs that keep trying to get their nasty paws on you.â
A gentle chuckle escaped you as you pulled her further into your side. âYeah, thatâs what makes you my good luck charm. Nothing seems to go wrong for me when youâre near.â You had expected another teasing remark of some kind, though nothing came. Instead, you were greeted with silence. After a while of not receiving any kind of acknowledgment of what you had said, you looked down at Jinx. You blinked in surprise when you saw her gazing right back up at you, eyes filled with a concoction of emotions that couldnât seem to even out.
Her brows furrowed together. One moment, she seemed confused, and the next, she seemed upset or in disbelief. Similarly to her eyes, her eyebrows couldnât focus on which emotion to express.
âUh, hun? You okay?â
âWhatâd you call me?â
âWhat?â
âWhat did you call me?â
You continued to stare at her, unsure of what you were supposed to say. âI called you âhun.ââ She shook her head and lifted it from your shoulder to be eye level with you. âNo, before that. What did you call me before that?â It took a moment for you to recall what you had said a mere moment ago. The confusion of the new situation had made it hard to wrack your memory. ââMy good luck charm?ââ
She was silent for a few minutes, which felt like hours with how thick the tension had grown.
âYou think Iâm lucky? That Iâm a lucky charm to you? Do you really think that?â
An uneasy smile and chuckle left your lips. âWell, yeah, of course I do. I mean, I always love being around you, and because of all you do for me, everything seems to go right when youâre around. You really are like a being of good luck to me.â
She seemed troubled at that, which certainly was not what you had expected. Tears welled up in her eyes and prompted them to grow glossy, though she fought them back. âBut â no, Iâm not lucky. Iâm, I mean, my name is âJinxâ for goodness sake! Iâm not good. Iâm a horrible person. I mess everything up. How could you possibly believe that Iâm a good luck charm? I donât understand.â You felt your nerves spike, recognizing that she was at the beginning stages of another episode. âWoah, hey,â you whispered, placing a hand softly on her shoulder in an attempt to ground her back into reality before she could fly too far away from the present.
âNo, Iâm not lucky, Iâm a Jinx. Iâm the opposite of lucky â Iâm unlucky. I didnât â no, please, Iâm not. No, shut up! Sheâs not trying to â stop it already!â Unintentionally, you leaned back, making sure to keep your hand in place. It seemed like Mylo had taken over again, throwing insult after insult at her and flooding her mind with false realities.
âLove, Iâm sorry,â you murmured. âI didnât mean to upset you.â She glared at you, eyes fixed on you in front of her, though she seemed to be staring so far away. Her eyes flickered as though she were reading some sort of script, incoherent mumbles rolling off her tongue. âNo, you shouldnât be⊠you didnât â shut up! You shouldnât be the one apologizing!â
You remained silent, waiting for the right time to chime in as Mylo continued to torment her. Although you had no idea what he was telling her, you could get a general idea based on the few words you could make out in her sputtering.
It took forever, but she ultimately calmed down, panting for breath and clutching handfuls of hair. When she came back to her senses, she found you holding both of her hands to prevent her from tearing her strands out again. Sometime in between her episode and her break into reality, she had begun copying your breathing the way you had helped her practice each time she had gone through it in the past. At length, she sighed and let her eyes bore down into her lap.
âIâm sorry,â she whimpered.
Softly, you cupped her face in your hands and lifted her head up to look her in the eye. She shifted her focus away from you, unable to meet your gaze. âItâs okay, I promise. Iâm not mad.â The feeling of the pads of your thumbs grazing across her cheeks to wipe her tears away brought her a feeling of relief. Her tense shoulders drooped down after she sighed once again.
Moments passed. She finally forced herself to meet your eye. âDid you really mean it?â She whispered with a broken tone. âThat you think Iâm lucky?â You nodded with a weak grin. Again, tears pricked her eyes, though she leaned forward and buried her face in your shoulder before they could fall. Her arms lifted from her sides, hands grasping at the back of your shirt as she sucked in multiple shaky breaths.
âIâve always thought you were lucky.â
Weeks had passed since you had started referring to Jinx as your good luck charm, then it shifted into months, and your list of nicknames began to grow. It became a common occurrence for her to hear you call her âlucky charm,â âcharmer,â or even âbluebird.â It seemed as though you were shifting to just focus on positive nicknames instead of entirely pinpointing each play on the words âgood luck charm,â though she wasnât complaining.
She certainly wasnât used to all of the compliments and the nice names. After all, she had been referred to as a jinx, a screwup, and essentially a burden her entire life up until she met Silco. It would take a while for her to accept what you said as truth, but she had started to come around to the loving nicknames. After a while, she even began to look forward to what you would call her for the day. She had started rubbing off on you in terms of nicknames as well. âTrinketâ and âsweetsâ began to creep into your vocabulary, and she adored the way it sounded rolling off your tongue when it was directed at her.
Soon enough, the positivity had worn down part of her insecurity, so long as she was around you. You made her feel safe and secure, which wasnât something she was used to either. Often, she could be seen practically bouncing down the halls with a cheesy grin plastered on her face, even if she had just left Silcoâs office. Silco and Sevika had definitely taken notice of her sudden shift, and although Sevika didnât understand why she was so much livelier than normal, Silco found himself smiling more often at the sight of Jinx when sheâd suddenly remember the nickname you had chosen for her for the day.
When sheâd sit up top on her makeshift platform in Silcoâs office, she had to be given reminders in between meetings to settle down. Her legs would swing over the edge and kick at the air rhythmically, and her hands would pat randomly at the wooden planks.
She loved the nicknames, to put it bluntly. She absolutely adored them. Since that night, not once had you referred to her as Jinx. Somehow, even though everyone else called her by her known name, the mere mention of what you were calling her for the day gave her a boost of confidence. Whenever a mission would go wrong, sheâd come straight to you to talk about it, then listen with a soft smile as you told her repeatedly how things would be okay and how sheâs still your lucky charm.
With how suddenly all the flurry of names were thrown at her, she struggled to pick a favorite. Even so, her energy and overall glee grew daily, even beginning to show in her work. Weapons were crafted more cautiously, produced quicker, and had more expressive markings made by her oil crayons. Sevika didnât enjoy the increase in enthusiasm, Silco certainly appreciated everything.
He still didnât fully trust you, though it was growing increasingly obvious to him that you werenât a threat, and in his eyes, you were there for a reason. You made Jinx happy, and that was all he really wanted in the end. As far as he was concerned, you had his blessing. He knew things could change, but after seeing how you treated her during every emotion she expressed, he figured that was a slim possibility.
As he sat in his office one day, he sighed and ran a hand down his face. The door had closed only a moment ago, and still he could hear the tapping and swaying above him. Leaning back in his chair, he gazed up at Jinx sitting on her small platform, biting back a small smile when he saw her grinning gleefully. âJinx,â he called out just loud enough for her to hear. She finally turned her attention to him curiously. âHm?â
âYou know you need to be quiet when I have people in here. Itâs very distracting with you shuffling around up there.â Jinx chuckled nervously. âSorry.â He finally allowed himself to smile, catching Sevika off guard from her spot on the sofa. âWhy donât you spend the rest of the day with [Y/N]? Youâve earned a break, both of you.â
Instantly, Jinx dropped from her spot above and landed on Silcoâs desk. She crouched down and looked him in the eye. âReally? Youâre okay with that?â He nodded. âSo long as you two donât cause any major problems,â he added. She beamed brightly at his words and her eyes lit up. âThanks!â Within an instant, she turned on her heel and hopped off the desk, already out the door and skipping down the hall to find you.
Silco grinned softly with a small shake of his head. He leaned forward again and motioned for Sevika to shut the door as he picked up a few papers to straighten them.
When Sevika returned to her spot on the sofa, she huffed out a heavy sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose. She bit her tongue with what she wanted to say, but a look of warning from Silco made her waver. âWhat are you breathing so heavily for?â She waited, trying to rephrase her words before speaking them, but ultimately gave up.
âItâs nothing against either of you. Iâve just never seen her this energetic before, and Iâve seen her get energetic in the past.â To her relief, Silco hummed and smiled. âYes, sheâs certainly been in a better mood as of lately. Itâs refreshing, in a way.â
Sevika waited momentarily, unsure of what to say. âYou think that girl is the reason sheâs been so cheery?â âI know she is. Her name is [Y/N]. Sheâs known Jinx for a couple of years now, and the two of them have grown quite close in such a short amount of time. I donât entirely approve of that girl, but Jinx has taken a liking to her, and Iâd be a fool to take that away from her.â
Even with her disliking of the blue-haired girl, Sevika couldnât help but grin at his words. âYeah, it is nice to see sheâs stable with someone. I was worried sheâd drive someone away. [Y/N], was it? Sheâs patient, and thatâs definitely good for someone like Jinx. To be honest, Iâm glad they met.â
âYes, I am as well. I suppose I should include a few of the names [Y/N] has been using to refer to Jinx as when speaking to her. It seems to put her in a better mood, as youâve said, and Iâve noticed an improvement in her crafts and missions.â A chuckle slipped from Sevika before she could stop it. âYeah, she hasnât screwed up another task in a while.â
âPardon?â
Sevika swallowed and cleared her throat. âSorry, sir. It was nothing.â
All the while, as they chatted away about her improvement, Jinx trailed down the hallway and all the way to her hideout. When she saw you there, sitting comfortably by her desk in the extra chair she had pulled into the room to have you nearby while she worked, she couldnât help the smile that stretched across her lips from ear to ear. As she grew closer, she wondered what you would refer to her as that day.
Christmas With Jinx: An Arcane Headcanon
Christmas is definitely one of, if not Jinxâs favorite, holiday.
She takes a small break from crafting bombs to put together over the top Christmas decorations.
Sheâs always excited for whatever surprises you get for her.
Sheâs, without a doubt, like that one kid who wakes everyone up on Christmas morning so you all can just get to opening presents.
She likes giving out presents too, but the gifts she received from Silco in the past were the best, so sheâs really, really excited about getting them.
You had made her a bunch of little bombs and also got her some trinkets and crafting supplies for her gifts.
Sheâs ecstatic over it, of course. âAww, you made these yourself? Theyâre so tiny and cute! I wonder how big the explosions are...â
Definitely calls you over at random times to places with mistletoe hung over them just to kiss you
Likes cuddling up close to you while the both of you drink hot cocoa, sheâs a big hot cocoa drinker
helloo saw that youâre taking request so, would you mind writing jinx x introverted reader headcanons?
Also hope youâre having a nice day !!
Awe heck yeah, definitely! My day's been good so far, I hope yours has been good too :)
Jinx x Introverted Reader Headcanons
For starters, Jinx really enjoys talking to people. She has to talk to people, it's kinda her thing.
You, on the other hand, prefer being alone. You don't really like it when random people come up to you while you're enjoying your personal space.
So, when you run into Jinx in the streets of the Undercity, she takes the initiative to strike up a conversation with you and you have no idea how to feel.
On one hand, she's invaded your space. You walked into this alley for the mere purpose of being alone and now that point is kind of useless.
On the other hand, she's cute, pretty, and you'd often be judged for thinking such ways about who's deemed as a psychotic criminal, a loose cannon, but you can't exactly hate her, can you?
"Hey. Heeeey. You there, toots?" she calls to you, whose mind is still wandering somewhere else.
You look to her and nod wordlessly, signaling her to continue.
"What're you doing all alone? Don't you have things to do with your day?"
"Not really. I just prefer to keep to myself most of the time, that's all."
"Hmm. Well," she thinks, slowly stepping closer, "you wouldn't mind if I sat here, right?"
You think for a moment, but before you can answer, she's already sitting in front of you with her legs crossed.
She talks to you a lot, going on multiple tangents about all the crimes she's committed adventures she's been on. You don't talk too much, not at all if we're being honest, but you listen to every single word.
As she goes on, you slowly begin to lose focus, watching her eyes light up whenever she tells you about an accomplishment that she's proud of. Her voice is raspy, yet so fun to listen to. She smiles so frequently throughout the "conversation" that you've probably smiled a few times as well.
It almost hurts to see her walk away after a while; no, it does hurt. It really hurts.
You hope you'll stumble across each other again soon, and maybe, just maybe, you'll share a few things about yourself with her, too.
Do you have any sick Jinx headcanons??
Idk if you mean for when Jinx is sick or if the reader is sick so I'll do both :)
When Jinx is Sick:
Delirious, VERY delirious
A lot of hallucinations, like more than usual
Photosensitive me too bestie
She'll ask you to stay with her while she rests
Asks for a lot of pillows too
Keeps refusing to stay hydrated and take medicine (she eventually does though after you insist over and over)
She tosses and turns a lot when trying to sleep, moaning in pain here and there and mumbling to herself if she does fall asleep. You'd normally wake her from nightmares, but she needs the rest, so you scoop her up into your arms and hold her close.
She relaxes almost immediately and cuddles into the warmth of your chest.
When You're Sick:
Prepare to be spoiled
You're lying half-asleep on your mattress while Jinx launches several pillows and stuffed animals at you
You feel like death but she's super cute so it's fine
Frequent checkups
"Do you need juice? Water? You should drink something, trinket."
"You haven't eaten much today, I'll go cook you something!"
She's not the best cook ever but she tries and that's all that matters
Sits with you for almost the entire time, tinkering with bombs and other inventions but more-so paying attention to you, checking for any temperature changes or more symptoms
So, so many forehead kisses even though you tell her you're sick and don't wanna get her sick
It's whatever, though. You feel miserable and she wants to give her partner some love, is that so bad?
