So, I have a theory that Jecki and Yord can come back, through sith magic!
Qimir who is a dark side user (and possibly the apprentice of Darth Plagus, could've been taught a sith technique to force someone back to life. BUT would require the sacrifice of someone else (likely what Palpatine did for Anakin) and while yes, it'll be like Ahsoka did and make death meaningless, it could be a way for them to come back. Hopefully they don't... but if they do.
Apparently Disney is removing the Acolyte merch from their stores like they did with Willow.
I swear to god Disney if you remove the Acolyte from Disney + I will fucking lose my shit.
I am so sick of these streaming services just deleting shows and movies off their platforms for tax write offs.
The fact that physical media is virtually nonexistent now means that these shows that people love (be it fans or creators) just disappear into the void, never to be seen again.
Edit: Apparently this may or may not be true? A bunch of news sights are saying that the merch has been removed from Disney stores but others are saying that disneys website just sucks and the stuff is sold out? Kinda unclear atm

Don’t think about Jecki’s first mission away from the Jedi Temple happening when she’s 18. Don’t think about how the Order was once able to keep their children protected until they grew into adults and were ready to leave. Don’t think about Ahsoka being deployed to an active war zone at age 14. Don’t think about all of the child soldiers that never got to spend their childhood at the Jedi Temple, safe and loved as they should have been.

I think the shock and brutality of the smash cut to Jecki (and Yord) dead in the jungle is meant to jumpscare us out of being too enraptured with Qimir or lulled into the “I’m just a guy who is making soup” routine. He is seducing the audience at the same time as Osha, so lest you forget, here are Jecki and Yord abandoned and covered in flies.
