He was holding on to you so tightly, as if this was the last time he’d ever get to feel you against his chest. He tried to hide his tears in your hair, covering the top of your head in rushed kisses as the final call for his flight rung out through the airport.
“I love you y/n, and it’s only a few months.” You nodded, knowing nothing you could say would make this moment any less painful.
“It’s only a few months in Brazil. Only a little while apart. We’ll be okay.” He chanted into your hair, laying kiss after kiss down. He was trying to calm himself down, convince himself that you wouldn’t get bored of waiting and leave him. He was so scared of losing you.
“Final call. Will Mr Hinata Shoyo please come to gate 14. That’s Mr Hinata Shoyo to gate 14.” He tensed up around you, pulling you closer and laying a kiss on your head one last time. He usually littered your face and neck with kisses, but they were happy and full of love, these were rushed, trembling, and full of sorrow.
“I promise you I’ll be back soon. I’m sorry I have to go.” You smiled as he pulled away, both of your faces covered in tears.
“Don’t be sorry, one day you’ll come home to me for good and we can have a proper family. Little red headed kids screaming our home down, me and you outnumbered in the middle.” You laid a soft kiss on his nose and some smaller ones on his cheeks.
“I really have to go now baby.” You stood back, holding onto your car keys for dear life. This never got easier.

CHARACTERS → sawamura daichi, sugawara koshi, azumane asahi, nishinoya yu, tanaka ryu, ennoshita chikara, kageyama tobio, hinata shoyo, tsukishima kei, yamaguchi tadashi, shimizu kiyoko, yachi hitoka
sawamura daichi ▸ this might be an unpopular opion but i think he might not have a quirk. he becomes a police officer in the future which doesn’t say he has no quirk at all but most of them don’t have any big quirks... and i just think he wouldn’t have one.
sugawara koshi ▸ an empathy type quirk. it can be either that he feels people their emotions or he can make people feel better about themselves. obviously he would call his first technique “negativity be gone” how could he not?
azumane asahi ▸ our future fashion designer has a creation quirk, but he can only make fabrics. to do so he does need to know how the fabrics work ( which he learns in fashion school anyways ) to be able to creat them. because of his quirk many classmates want to work together as fabrics are EXPENSIVE. unfortunately for them ; asahi has a string moral compas and only makes them when absolutely necessary. otherwise he’ll buy them locally.
nishinoya yu ▸ an electric based quirk ( this is definitely not because he was born with that streak in his hair, definitely not ) he can burst out electricity from the streak of his hair as attacks and can also absorb it through his hair and he calls his strongest attack “rolling thunder”
tanaka ryu ▸ gigantification. honestly i was at a lost of what ryu his quirk would be... but then i was like; GIANT TANAKA! he wants to be intimidating? he got it. his quirk allows him to tower over anyone and anything. he might be wingless but if you are ready to rumble so is he.
ennoshita chikara ▸ telekenises. you can not tell me this man would not just be able to pick up things with his mind. “hey, ennoshita can you hand me the volleyball?” “no” ; *uses his mind to slam it in their face* ( could also see ... not condoning it, but it would be helpful with cheating, yk? being able to nudge the ball in the right way )
kageyama tobio ▸ an analytical/calculating quirk that allows him to see the situation and tell him with a 99% accuracy what the next action of the person is. it used to be a lot lower, but by training it will get higher. also, if he continues on with his training he one day might be able to influence their decision as well.
hinata shouyo ▸ jumping as high as he does is a super power at it self and that’s exactly why his quirk is being able to jump very high. as it gets higher by training they did not know his quirk until his early teen years. the doctor was aware that he had a quirk but could not pinpoint what it was.
tsukishima kei ▸ is being salty a quirk? it is now. his quirk is being able to physically hurt someone by shading them. the downfall is that he has to know where to hurt them for the final knock-out, but over the years he has found the general insecurities almost everyone has.
yamaguchi tadashi ▸ a flower type quirk. any naturally grown ogarnism he knows the meaning of and it’s living invorment he can grown out of his skin by will of power. he can also use his hands to let them re-grow or blossom again when they are struggling/dying. ( yes, i am pushing my flower-boy yams agenda )
shimizu kiyoko ▸ a speed type quirk like quicksilver. she was in track and was amazing at it, if she had a quirk i think it could be that.
yachi hitoka ▸ she can make anyone feel an incredibly strong infatuation or love towards her for a set amount of time. after some tests where done they found out it was not longer then 15 minutes. how they found out? her pupils turn heart-shaped as she used her quirk.

Poor baby hinata thought he would atleast last 2 weeks, but then again he knew how much he was a slave to your touch. Seeing you make dinner in his shirts and the smallest shorts in your wardrobe wasn't helping either. You were teasing him, you have to be. Shoyo has always had this habit. He'll keep going after something until he gets it. One more game. One more round. One more date.

It drives you insane, in the best way possible. During his time away, it was always 'One more call.' or 'One more hour.' He was insatiable. Always being the supportive partner, you'd give in, but not too much. Never too much. Of course, that didn't last when he came back.
Before Shoyo left, he was timid. Not in the sense that he was shy with you, but more in the sense he didn't know what the fuck he was doing. His words. Although, that does not apply to him anymore, in any way, shape, or form. He'd grown into his body, and grown into more as a whole and it stole your breath at the airport.
Literally.
One moment he was at the end of the terminal and next thing you know, his lips were on you and his hands were gripping your waist. Shoyo's presence took your breath away. As the greetings came and went that day, you didn't leave his side. He wouldn't let you.
A hand on your lower back, or holding yours. But he'd become possessive in touch, ever so slightly. You couldn't help but think he was behaving like he hadn't played a game in a long time. He'd finally found a ball, an arena. His hand brushed your nape and fiddled with your hair. He stole kisses every chance he could.
One more time.
What you hadn't expected was what would happen the minute you locked your door that night. When you turned your unsuspecting back to poor Shoyo, the man just couldn't help himself.
Look at you. Finer, prettier, and his. Just as the tell-tale sound of the deadbolt sliding into place sounded, your hair was over your shoulder and his mouth was on your neck. His name came out as a strangled gasp, and you couldn't believe it. This cannot be the Shoyo who gave you timid kisses on your cheek and had shy, albeit clumsy sex with you.
There was something about him, something had changed, because you were already hyperaware of him after such a long time, and this was just, insane. Rapidly losing any semblance of higher-functioning thinking, you whip around in your man's arms. You just had to see him, had to confirm that this was your Shoyo and not some, some imposter!
And the look in his eyes could only be described as hungry love. it was the look he got on the court when he was in his flow.
"Sh-shoyo?"
Your back was up against the wall, his hands resting on your hips. His eyes looked into yours, then fell to your lips. Maybe it was a little mean of you, but you can't help but bite your lips, looking up at him. He gives a little smirk before he kisses you again, but it's heated this time, with an edge that wasn't there before.
Soon, you're on your bed as he all but throws on you it, lifting his arms up and shedding his shirt somewhere on your floor. Not that you cared in particular where it landed, because the scene in front of you was much more interesting. Shoyo was more muscle now, and you'd felt it but seeing it was different. You automatically shuffle a bit, and he tracks the movement before his mouth is leaving open-mouthed kisses on your neck and his hands are moving on your chest.

His face is still buried in the crook of your neck when he speaks, his voice vibrating through you.

Either when it's Shoyo or you going out, which meant leaving one or the other. Showing love through small pecks, intertwining your pinky with his became somewhat of a routine as a greeting and goodbye. Even when in such a rush, this tradition has no exceptions, as it's a must.

So when Shoyo just disappears, leaving no trace behind except for a 'I'm going!' and the sound of the door shutting, perhaps he's too late for training? Or he had forgotten about—there's absolutely no way,not a bit would he forget the kisses you always share.
Or has his brain got a memory loss? The thought lingered in your mind as you kept on with your daily tasks before taking your leave as well. It happened tomorrow once again, then the next day.
Now, that's suspicious, Shoyo.
But before you can catch on, he always leaves earlier than he normally would. In addition, it makes things worse because that's even more suspicious.
Yet, you wouldn't put an accusation against Shoyo; he's a sweetheart. There's no way he would do something behind your back, maybe.
And that's how you are waiting near the door, awaiting his figure to leave the house with a goodbye kiss because, you’re sure, if this keeps continuing, then you'll be crazy by the end of the week. For your sanity, you have to put an end to this.

In simple terms, you wouldn't let it slide today.
And when Shoyo finally rushes to the door, just to be greeted by someone with a big, wide frown like a pouting child that made him chuckle. Although he tried to refrain from it because that means you're upset. As he picked up his sports shoes, sliding them on easily without any disturbance—only your frown.
Just as Shoyo is about to open the doorknob, holding onto it, you say, "My kiss?" The sharpness in your voice, the glare that could just pierce his back, he swore it was (very) scary for someone who's lovely. Shoyo's head slowly turned to face you with a sheepish smile as he pulled his hand from the knob.
Of course, you noticed.
And how doomed Shoyo is now.
"Aw, miss me that much?" he teases while taking you in his arms, wrapping you close to him before pecking your lips as per usual.
"Well, a certain someone may have forgotten the rules here," you retorted, still keeping the slight resentment in your tone. As a result, Shoyo cackles.
Okay, he's been caught.
"Oh, I definitely owe Atsumu a drink after this," he muses while keeping his arms under yours. Alright, that got your attention fully.
Atsumu? Drink? What is he on to? Shoyo only cackles more when he sees the confusion written on your face.
It turns out Atsumu had made a bet with Shoyo. That if he managed to go without a goodbye and a welcome kiss for about a week, he'd buy Shoyo a drink. Now, everything clicked together like a complete puzzle. Although your nose scrunched at his words before he brushed his against yours playfully.
Maybe that's why he's been running away...
and Shoyo earned a gentle slap on the shoulder from you. "You—fine, no more goodbye kisses then!" you said, trying to escape from his grasp, still upset by how he just acted so casually. "No, wait! I love your kisses!" Jokingly, Shoyo tightened his grip and hoped to never let go.
Well, not now at least.
Perhaps he should do this again; your reaction was absolutely hilarious (and sweet), although he'll keep that to himself since telling you that, would just earn another slap from you.
And how Atsumu was grateful for you because the drink was definitely a blessing. After that, Shoyo noted to not put anything involving love and affection between you two, since in the end, he'll lose anyway.
But did he regret it? Nope, witnessing your reactions towards his (feigning) dismissal of your shared intimacy is the best.
