 I. Slow Down ; Narumi Gen.

narumi gen tosses and turns around his bed restlessly with thoughts of you coursing throughout inside him.

he’s so needy tonight–narumi’s body is achingly hot because of how much he needs you.

despite his duties the following day, narumi drags himself out of his bed and urgently navigates to your room in order to knock on your door loudly. “hey! you’re awake, right?? wake up!” narumi annoyingly cups his hand on your wooden door, his words ringing through your room. “what?” when he takes sight of you begrudgingly opening your door with furrowed brows, he grins widely and ushers you inside. your feet are getting dragged as narumi pushes you further inside your room. confused, you turn around to look at him. “narumi-” yet, when you try to ask him, he beats you to it.

“i wanna fuck right now- can we fuck right now?”

“sorry?”

“...please say yes.”

“you woke me up for a quickie?” narumi repeatedly nods, a slight pout forming on his lips. you take a step closer to him, and just as narumi’s preparing himself for your approval, you push your finger sternly on his chest, limiting proximity. “no.” his pout drops into an annoying frown, then back into a deeper pout. “why not?” childishly, narumi starts poking at your shoulder rapidly, mimicking your stance. it causes you to sigh, looking at narumi with tired eyes. “not in the mood for a quickie.” seeing his posture slump at your reply, you only give him a half-assed apologetic look.

“besides, it’s so late. i’d rather it be more intimate, you know?” it’s your turn to push narumi from behind, forcing him closer to your door in hopes of goodnight. “intimate? you mean-” narumi, with his eyes wide, turns back to look at you. “yeah. but i know that’s not really your thing, so…” you yawn, preparing to close your door on narumi’s face. however, narumi rushes forward, hands gripping your arms desperately. “that’s it? you’d let me fuck you tonight if it was longer?” your eyebrows quirk while your jaw goes slightly slack. you feel a tinge of tension rise around you when you see narumi’s gaze piercing through you. “narumi, i don’t think you get what i mean- and-”

“come on, then show me.”

suddenly, narumi’s face engulfs you: his messy hair brushing across your own skin as his mouth sloppily kisses you. your hands are trapped in front of him–directly over his chest–as your tongue takes in the taste of him. perhaps narumi’s letting you take the lead, although it doesn’t matter because your legs are moving back, and his are following wherever you take him.

being blind and deaf with only the senses of your intimate lust being known, it comes as a shock when the back of your calves thud against the mattress, making you flip around for narumi to be the one to lay down on your messy bed first. with a slight groan, narumi tries to sit up by your pillows when your kiss breaks apart; however, you straddle his lap, looming over narumi with a look of satisfaction.

“w-what?” narumi pants, the back of his hand wiping away the cool saliva drying all over his mouth. “enjoying?” you tease, sitting down just below his groin. “what do you…think?” you scoff out a laugh, inching yourself higher as you already know the answer. your body leans down closer to narumi, hands grazing past his sides until it reaches his neck–where you rest them as he shivers excitedly.

a soft moan manages to slip through his gritted teeth when you rub your lower body against his excruciatingly slow; narumi’s eyes wander down to where he sees his bulging erection getting covered by each mundane thrust of your clothed hips. unexpectedly, it overwhelms narumi–not once has he ever taken in such a sight of this view so unhurriedly. the repetitive scene of his needy dick getting humped leisurely by your warm lap has his ears ringing.

narumi’s hands reach down to your spread-out thighs, ironically trying to get you to slow down. “too fast?” you lighten your weight, bringing your hand up to comb narumi’s bangs higher up. however, when he realizes that you’re enticed with his flushed cheeks and half-lidded eyes, he dares not look at your close bodies anymore. “hah! if you keep going this slow i think i’ll fall asleep.” your laughter rings once more, however, when narumi takes a glimpse of you, you’re leaning closer.

“whatever you say…” you mumble before licking his mouth to open; and narumi thinks he might lose it–because your tongue is so slow. every bit of your kiss, he feels its heat scatter across his body desperately. everything is simultaneously happening all at once: under his palms, he feels your warm lap drag against his; he feels your saliva mixing with his and dripping down his chin; and he fucking feels you ache while he’s underneath you–how could he not go undone at the very second?

concluding that it’s been longer than necessary–narumi couldn’t hold on for much longer. his hips thrusts itself to meet your patient ones halfway. with the added friction and desperation it introduced, muffled breaths of moans emitted out of intertwined mouths. a little satisfied, narumi squeezes your thighs, initially begging for more.

“c’mon, we don’t have all night-” narumi complains, his forehead starting to sweat from the heat as his body finds relief when he sits up from the bed, his hands dragging up to your waist–preparing himself to satiate himself on top of you. however, with a strong hand, you knock him back down on the bed, almost making narumi whine from denial.

“you asked me to show you how to go slow, narumi.” he lazily rolls his eyes and is perhaps accompanied by murmurs laced with annoyance you can barely hear as he sinks into the soft sheets. “i mean, if you really can’t take it…” you pout, idly tapping your fingers over his chest and up until the underside of his jaw–which you feel clench in aggravation.

“i guess you’re just not good with this sort of thing-”

“the hell! you- i can take it! do whatever you want-”

“oh?”

“oh…”

The Kiss Tax
The Kiss Tax
The Kiss Tax

PAIRING. GEN NARUMI X CHUBBY READER

CONTENT WARNINGS. ooc narumi + fluff + teasings + suggestiveness+ dry humping + some cheesy stuff

SYNOPSIS. what it's like in a typical day off with your captain/boyfriend.

The Kiss Tax

many is narumi to the public eye and to his subordinates.

he's the strongest soldier in the whole jakfd but lacks recognition due to captain ashiro which infuriates him to no end and the lack of praises he receive online from his egosurfing. the silent respect from his subordinates for his skills and his somewhat cool demeanor and his commanding presence when he's serious. he's all that, that they can passed up the negative traits that their captain narumi have.

a stubborn egotistic asshole that thinks he can do everything cause no one reprimands him for it with the exception of his vice captain that have put with his shit since he was recruited for the jakfd and his girlfriend that's the very opposite of him. whom he actually listens to if needed.

the room wasn't the usual garbage bin narumi have resided for the last years. it was devoid of dust and the crumpled papers and the boxes of items he purchased online which is unusual for a man like narumi. having it cleaned earlier for situations like this.

his girlfriend who is currently laying above him. your head on his chest while you read a book while he continues to aggressively punch buttons on his twitch. getting progressively irritated at the game that has been going for the last good thirty minutes.

a day off and this is the two of you choose to spend it. finding it more convenient and it's not like you can drag narumi to stroll around the city to find alleyway arcades and buy him the latest edition of his games.

“take a break, gen. you won't beat it.” you cooed. flipping a page of your book and the said man above you grumbles as the defeat tune you heard for the last minute plays. "what shall i do then?” putting his console in the side. eyes boring hole in the ceiling from the lack of entertainment. “play a new game or anything you want.” you say. never taking your eyes off your book.

he grumbles again. peeking at what is entertaining you. you're reading your romance book again with the filthy smut. he rolls his eyes. you reading that goddamn book with him in the same room as you is insulting. “you're reading that stupid book again like i don't satisfy you.”

you raised a brow at his comment. “oh, is that jealousy i detect in your voice captain narumi?” the question is quick to trigger him and once his calm demeanor took a one full one-eighty. you almost giggled at his reaction. “hah— me jealous in that stupid book. someone's cocky!” and there it is. you decided to provoke him. “oh, really? someone's sure is really prickly about it. are you sure it's not you, captain narumi?”

taunting narumi is like the same as the same as toddlers except he don't get teary-eyed and full on wailing. there's a vein almost popping in his forehead and the corner of his lip twitches like he's a about to pounced on you. anticipating you prepared the course of action to counter what he planned for you.

considering the positions you were at a disadvantage. he was on top of you and you were beneath him but it doesn't mean you won't fight him. you won't back down even he's the captain of the division you belong to and him being equipped with kaiju's organ belonging to one of the oldest to wreck japan. you know he won't use that ability to you and it's second nature to him to predict.

anticipating what he's next move may come to you. it suddenly happened before you can blink and you were fully underneath him. his hold on your wrists are tight but not enough to hurt you but the pressure on it told you that you can't resist it.

“what now, captain?” you are truly playing with fire now. you didn't call him captain unless you're on the presence of your other subordinates and when you're taunting him.

narumi can see everything about you. not just how tight and plush you're clothing is snugged to you. you're tempting and when he takes his eyes off to his console and looks at you. it reminds him that you're his. in cropped shirts and shorts or in the standard uniform. you're incredibly a sight for him and now, he sees you. chest heaving while you breath in small breaths, the look in your eyes —challenging him.

he can't help but to smirk at the look in your eyes and he even forgot what riled him on the first place. it may be a good reason cause he got you pinned underneath him. “you owe me, you little minx.”

you raised a brow. “of what?” licking your lips. he let out a small chuckle. “i'm going to call it “the kiss tax”. for everytime you bossed me around, you're going to give me a kiss.”

you bite your lip to suppress yourself from saying something cocky again. you were about to tease him but what he said surprises you. he may deny it but you know he's snooping and reading your books that he considered to be cheesy and made him puke. “copy that but can you let me move now, captain so i can pay you?” you said wiggling your fingers and he scoffs before putting himself in a sitting position and you climbed on his lap.

his hands went on your plush waist and squeezing the flesh. his sight went down to see your belly squished and spilling on the black crop top you wore and how heavenly it is for someone like him who likes to laze. it simply made his life more comfortable since you became his.

“shall i pay you now, gen?”

you hold his cheeks in your palms before leaning down to kiss him. it was a soft short sweet kiss. quite similar how the two of you first kissed and then a second one. bestowing him a peck to his lips and then hen the third, he pulls you closer to him. crashing your lips to his and without further warning you two were exchanging spits.

your crotch are warm against his. he feels the fatness of your pussy in your shorts and he's not doing good. his bulge tenting in his sweatpants and it's getting quite painful until he made you sit on it. groaning in the kiss while you gasp.

“it would be more than that, gen.” you say before kissing him back again. your hips are rolling against his erection. your panties currently soaking from the friction.

he chuckles. “consider it as a full payment but i doubt it.” pulling you closer to him and his cock leaks with precum. he huffs. engulfing your lips with his own. “with the times you've bossed me. it would me more than that but you're willing to pay it.”

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

☆ — “OH, VICE-CAPTAIN HOSHINA, YOU PLAY KAIJU IMPACT TOO?”

FEATURING: Narumi Gen x f!reader x Hoshina Soshiro

SYNOPSIS: Everyone knows by now that Captain Narumi Gen has the hots for you, no matter how hard he tries to hide it. Unluckily for him, a certain Vice-Captain of the Third Division finds the whole situation very amusing.

CONTENT: [2,6k words] female reader, reader is a platoon leader in the first division, hoshina is a menace, pining narumi, manga version so hoshina has red eyes, sparring with hoshina and narumi, basically a collection of narumi and hoshina fighting over you, no beta we die like men

PART TWO: LIKE OIL AND WATER

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

You wish Narumi would just drop the act.

Does he really think he’s being slick? He, the First Division’s resident lazy bum, who for some reason always asks you to spar with him out of all the platoon leaders? Maybe if he doesn’t act so weird about it, you’d be none the wiser — but who is he fooling when he continues to compliment your abilities and patch up your injuries, all the while flaming someone else for being a weakling?

Yeah, everyone caught on pretty fast that there’s something going on between you two.

This morning, he once again orbits around you with the excuse of “I’m also going this way!”, only to instantly be caught in his own lie when Vice-Captain Hasegawa drags him off to the opposite direction, scolding him for playing around instead of getting to the meeting room.

Good God. All you wanted in life is a cool, steady job in the Defense Force. How the hell did you manage to catch the eye of your dashingly handsome superior?

Director General Shinomiya drones on in the background as you squirm uncomfortably in your seat. Narumi is sitting diagonally from you, his gaze burning into you as he mindlessly taps the desk with his long fingers. Out of the corner of your eye you see Hasegawa elbowing his arm for the third time that day. His head drops and he turns to glare at the man irritably before straightening his position — but before long, his eyes drift over to you once more.

In front of you, Vice-Captain Hoshina is smiling.

Shit. Your gaze drops to your lap as you feel your cheeks warming up. In the middle of trying to steal glances at your Captain, you accidentally made the mistake of looking at the Third Division’s Vice-Captain while he’s looking at you.

Wait. He’s looking at you…? Surely not. His eyes are always narrowed into slits, it makes it hard to tell where he’s actually looking. You raise your head in uncertainty, only to see that Hoshina is now resting his chin on top of his intertwined fingers, his grin wide and his eyes still very much staring at you.

Your heart jumps and you immediately avert your gaze elsewhere — as luck would have it, back to Captain Narumi, who seems to notice that you’re distracted.

He turns his head to follow your earlier line of sight, leaning forward in his seat to see who you were staring at. Shockingly, Vice-Captain Hoshina does the same. You watch in horror as the two men turn their heads in perfect sync and lock eyes, two sharp red orbs clashing into each other.

Narumi doesn’t even bother to hide the fact that he is fuming while Hoshina’s grin only spreads wider.

Fuck.

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

Narumi is grumbling when he walks out of the conference room. He hates big meetings. He doesn’t need Shinomiya to talk his ear off to know that there has been a kaiju uprising in the recent months. He’s the one who’s fighting in the frontlines, god damn it.

“What are you doing?” As he leans against the wall, Hasegawa spots him and eyes at him incredulously.

Narumi shrugs, trying to act indifferent. “Nothing.”

Hasegawa shakes his head and leaves.

After having a few people salute him, Narumi finally spots you emerging from the room. He smiles and pushes himself off the wall. He’s about to make his way to you when he sees you turn your head abruptly. He pauses, watching as your figure retreat, obstructed slightly by the opened door. When you re-emerge, you’re no longer alone.

Hoshina Soshiro is folding his hands behind his back as he saunters out, walking next to you a little bit too close for comfort while smiling that creepy smile of his.

It’s cliche, but at that moment, Narumi Gen sees red. Watching you and Hoshina disappear into the corner, he stuffs his hands into his pockets and follows suit.

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

Vice-Captain Hoshina is a very skilled combatant. You’ve heard the rumors, but still...

It’s amazing how you manage to narrowly dodge a slash before pivoting out the way from a kick he directs at your sides. You take a swing at him with your blade, but he’s much more skillful with weapons than you are — he deflects it with his own twin swords before bringing the hilt to your knuckles, hitting it in the hopes of disarming you.

You grit your teeth and clench your blade, jerking it his way so hard that it knocks both his left sword and your own weapon. Both fall to the ground, clattering away out of your reach.

Hoshina smiles, throwing away his other sword and gesturing for you to come to him. You accept the invitation. Closing the distance, you bring your knee up to kick him in the stomach. It feels like you hit a brick wall as you connect with his body — but still, a hit is a hit, and landing a hit on the Hoshina Soshiro is an impressive feat.

You learn your lesson not to get distracted in a fight when he suddenly grabs your knee with his hands and pulls on it so hard that you lose your footing. The whole world spins before your eyes — (you have a sudden sinking feeling that he took that hit on purpose) — as you crash to the ground. Grimacing, you let out a shaky breath. God damn, that hurt.

Hoshina’s face appears shortly after. “Ya’ alright? Quite a tumble you took there.”

You relax against the floor, trying to catch your breath. “Uh-huh. That was…” Letting Hoshina pull you up, you almost fall forward at the sheer exhaustion but manage to stop yourself from colliding into his chest. “... that was very enlightening. Thank you, Vice-Captain Hoshina.”

“You’re welcome, Platoon Leader. It’s refreshing to fight with you.”

Receiving a praise from the Defense Force's strongest close-quarters combatant makes you blush. You force your gaze downwards, trying to avoid Hoshina’s eyes. Suddenly you realize that he is still holding your hand, causing you yelp in surprise and immediately jerk your hand away.

Hoshina merely laughs, running his now-free hand through his hair. “Say, Platoon Leader, ya’ wanna grab a bite after this?”

Before you can answer, a tornado sweeps his way into the room.

“Hoshinaaaa!!” You snap your head to the door, surprised to see Captain Narumi marching towards you, his expression twisted in anger, “Who the hell gave you permission to spar with my platoon leader?!”

“My, if it isn’t Captain Narumi.” Hoshina is unbothered even as Narumi glares at him like he’s a pesky bug, “I don’t see how I need your permission to spar against someone. It’s not against the rules or anythin’~”

Hoshina’s breezy tone only makes Narumi seethe more. “You— you— I— !” He struggles to make a comeback, finally settling his gaze on you. “You! You’re coming with me!”

With that, he’s dragging you away, leaving behind a thoroughly amused Hoshina who’s waving at you goodbye with a grin on his face.

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

Eating is supposed to be a relaxing activity.

Instead, you’re squished between Captain Narumi of the First Division and Vice-Captain Hoshina of the Third Division, with everyone from different divisions gawking at your star-studded table.

There’s a blazing inferno on your left (Narumi stabbing his potatoes with his fork, fuming) and an icy chill on your right (Hoshina gulping down the remains of his green tea, unbothered by the whole thing).

Truth be told, your captain is intimidating as hell when he’s in a bad mood, so you decide to turn your attention to the lesser evil. Hoshina seems to be finished with his food as he opens his phone to play a game.

“Oh, Vice-Captain Hoshina, you play Kaiju Impact too?”

Narumi snaps his neck so instantaneously, he almost got whiplash from it.

“Ye~p! It’s fun, I just got the newest five star character.”

“Huuhh?! No way! You’re so lucky! I lost my 50/50...”

“We should play together sometime. Let me add you.”

“S-sure! I’m still new at this, though...”

Without warning, Narumi leans sideways to join the conversation, causing you to lean back in alarm.

“What level are you?” He questions, narrowing his eyes to look at Hoshina’s phone before chortling obnoxiously. “Ha! Still at Level 30?! I’m already at Level 60!” He turns his head to look at you, “You sure you want to play with this noob?! Play with me instead!”

Hoshina sighs exaggeratedly. “Your enemies are too hard for her, dumbass. She’s just gonna get 1-hit-KO’ed. Platoon Leader, you’re better off playing with me.”

Narumi sputters. “Huh?! I can carry you, you don’t need to do anything!”

“Then why play at all? You’re probably just looking for an opportunity to brag, right?”

“What?! Y-You’d rather play with me, right?! Right?!”

You massage your temples in exhaustion. Forget it. You’d rather just exterminate kaiju in real life instead.

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

You liked having a new sparring partner. Hoshina doesn’t go easy on you, but he’s always careful with his movements. It makes you feel both acknowledged and taken care of.

Narumi, on the other hand...

You yelp as the full force of Narumi’s power pushes you to the ground, knocking both your weapon and your breath away. Panting to catch your breath, you can’t even bring yourself to move because everything hurts.

“Are you alright?!” Narumi is kneeling down as he studies you frantically. “You usually defeat kaiju like a pro, what’s wrong with you today?”

“Between a kaiju and you, Captain Narumi...” You cough before panting again, “You’re definitely the bigger threat.”

To your surprise, Narumi laughs. He’s delighted at your indirect praise — sure, he knows that he’s the strongest in the Defense Force, but hearing his crush say it to his face is something else.

He gently pulls you up, steadying you by holding your waist. When you look up to thank him, he has a calm face on, but his heart is actually beating 120 bpm per minute. “Careful.” He rasps out, bangs falling down to cover his eyes.

Your heart skip a beat. Narumi’s hands still rests on your waist as he gazes right at you. It’s like there is a magnetic pull between the two of you because the distance between your faces grow closer.

You have to admit that you find him attractive — who doesn’t? — and the special treatment he gives you is very endearing. Now that you really look at him, he’s very handsome. If you move forward just a little bit more, your lips will surely touch—

“Ya—hoo! Whoops, am I interruptin’ something?”

Narumi groans in frustration as Hoshina casually walks over while you jump, taken aback by his sudden appearance. You instantly break free from Narumi’s grasp, much to his dismay. “V-Vice Captain Hoshina!”

A phone comes sliding into your vision. “Gimme your ID, won’t you?”

Flustered, you reach out to take his phone and proceed to type your Kaiju Impact player ID.

Narumi glares at his rival. “Must you really stomp all over my territory, Hoshina?” His tone is hostile as he points a finger at the violet-haired man.

Hoshina only responds with a chuckle before ignoring him completely, opting to taking his phone from your hand. “There we go. Now let’s go and play, I wanna kill time before dinner~”

You can only nod as he takes you by the arm. The two of you don’t get far because you suddenly feel a hand on your other arm.

“Captain Narumi?!”

Hoshina turns back, grinning from ear to ear when he sees Narumi clutching your arm like his life depended on it. “What’s this?”

“We’re not done with training!” Narumi reasons, loosening his grip on you but not quite letting go.

“R-Respectfully, I don’t think I can go another round...” You pipe up in a small voice.

Hoshina clicks his tongue in disapproval. “You’re such a mean boss, y’know?”

“Anyway, I’m not letting you go with him!”

“Who are you, her big bro or something?”

“Know your place, you’re not even in the same division!”

“What does that have to do with anything? I enjoy her company, that’s all~”

“Well I enjoy her company more!”

“Why are you so intent on one-upping me...? Are you a child?”

Neither of your superior relents, holding your arm like a tug of war. In the middle of them, you can already feel your soul slipping away.

“I’m sorry, Captain Narumi, but I did make a promise...”

Narumi looks at you like he’s been kicked. Meanwhile, Hoshina rejoices, pumping his fist victoriously.

“I’ll wait for you at the library!”

When Hoshina disappears, you glance anxiously at Narumi. There’s an indiscernible expression on his face as he hangs his head, sulking. ‘Is it okay to leave him like this...?’

You don’t know what possessed you to do it, but you lean forward and peck him on the lips. It’s a quick kiss that makes you feel like you’re a lovesick schoolgirl. When you pull away, Narumi has his eyes wide open as he stares at you in shock.

Getting the urge to kiss him again, you decide to run before you actually do it. Luckily, he doesn’t run after you — or else he’ll see what a blushing mess you’ve become.

 LIKE CATS AND DOGS

After morning practice, it is finally time for Hoshina to return to his own base at Nishi-Tokyo. Upon his request, you’ve come to see him off.

It’s surprising, but you’ve grown closer to the man in the span of just one day and a half, even playing games together as you chat about life and trivial things. You’re going to miss his presence.

The same can not be said for Narumi.

“Hurry up and leave already, dammit.”

“If you’re busy you can leave. It’s not like I asked you to come see me off.”

“Then why did you get my platoon leader to accompany you, huh?!”

“What’s it to you? Why’re you so intent on hogging her all to yourself? Got a crush on her or somethin’?”

“Y-You’re one to talk, you little—!”

Not this again.

Once more, Hoshina flat-out ignores Narumi. “Well, take care~ Let’s go somewhere on your day off.”

There’s a tight smile on your face as Hoshina pats your head, making Narumi seethe in anger next to you. “That would be my pleasure, but... Vice-Captain Hoshina, it’s not good to tease me so much...”

For the first time, Hoshina’s playful smile disappears. “Who says I’m just teasing you?” The mischievous glint on his eyes are absent as he peers at you, “Next time, I’ll show you just how serious I am.”

You’re pretty sure you have the dumbest expression on your face as you freeze on your spot, blushing to the tips of your ears even as Hoshina’s figure disappears into the distance. For a while, you and Narumi stand in front of the gates, engulfed in silence.

Narumi’s annoyed sigh interrupts your train of thoughts as you’re snapped back to reality. Turning your head, you see him giving you a look you’ve never seen before.

“Platoon Leader, come see me after the day ends. I need to talk to you.”

“W-What about?”

Narrowing his eyes at your feigned ignorance, Narumi bites back the urge to hoist you over his shoulders and lock you in a room away from prying eyes. “I think you know what about,” He whispers above your ear, his voice husky, “Did you really think I’ll let you steal a kiss from me and not take responsibility for it?”

Narumi leans back, grinning in satisfaction when he sees you turning red and stuttering his name. Now that a formidable challenger has appeared, he’ll need to up his game.

Let’s see who will be the one to seize victory.

END NOTES: I give in. The Kn8 brainrot is chronic. Also, Narumi and Hoshina’s rivalry will never not be funny! Writing this is so much fun, should I make this a series?

 HELL HATH NO FURY...

Narumi Gen knows he fucked up.

He can see it in his subordinates’ eyes, in the way they all ignore his silent plea for them to acknowledge the levity of his earlier statement.

“Without me to watch your back, you’re practically dispensable.”

Gen thought everyone knew he was just kidding.

He rethinks that, because you — the one who never backs down from a playful banter — immediately fall silent.

“I-I’m sure the captain didn’t mean that.”

“Of course I did.”

Of course he didn’t. But in the heat of the moment, he can only blame Kikoru for opening her mouth and forcing him to say words he didn’t mean.

Because what else could he do? Apologize?

There’s a heavy tension around the cafetaria table, and it still hangs in the air even after you gathered your belongings and left with a clatter.

 HELL HATH NO FURY...

“Here.”

You barely spare him a glance, opting instead to take a fresh towel from the rack.

Gen purses his lips, gripping the towel he offered you before bringing his hand down to rest on his sides.

“So, uh, you wanna play that new game tonight?”

You’ve been avoiding him these past few weeks and it’s killing him more than he’d like to admit. To usually have you by his side and suddenly be robbed of your company…

You straighten your chin. Gen feels like he’s going to choke.

He’s still standing in the same spot even after you stand up and leave. Behind him, he can hear you laughing with the other officers.

Practice used to be fun, now it’s like he’s walking on eggshells or the chill in the air will freeze him solid if he’s not careful. The worst part? They pretend like nothing is wrong.

It’s not like anything happened after the incident — life goes on as normal in the Ariake Maritime Base. The same practice, the same missions, the same meetings. No one spoke of the incident. Not even you.

Still, he knows your relationship with him changed, and not in the way he intended. He wants to continue being the person who everybody thought is your boyfriend, but is actually your best friend, but it’s complicated because he kinda has feelings for you. But now you won’t even acknowledge his existence.

Gen knows he has to apologize.

But he doesn’t know how.

 HELL HATH NO FURY...

“What?! You haven’t apologized?!”

Gen doesn’t understand what the big deal is. Everyone knows that you’re always involved in some sort of bickering with him.

The two of you compete about everything. To him, being able to compete with someone fair and square is rare — it’s proof enough that the two of you are on equal footing. So why is everyone acting like one nonsensical sentence from him discredits all your achievements and prowess?

If he says he’s the Director of the Defense Force, will old man Shinomiya instantly step down from his position and give him the spot?

“… No, I don’t feel the need to.”

Eiji shakes his head. “You’re gonna regret that.”

Gen sighs and looks to the side.

Truthfully, he regrets it already. Why else would he discuss his relationship with Hasegawa Eiji, of all freaking people? You ignore his texts, reject all his calls, pretends like he doesn’t exist, and you even exit the room when he comes in. He’s desperate, that’s why.

Gen admits that he was never good with words. He’s better at showing you how he feels through his actions. Now he can’t even do that, because you don’t let him.

Squeezing his eyes shut, Gen breathes out a shaky; “What should I do?”

“I have an idea,” Eiji starts, “but I don’t know if you’re brave enough to do it.”

When Gen opens his eyes, there’s a newfound determination in them.

 HELL HATH NO FURY...

“Sir, please, you can’t just enter like this..!”

Narumi Gen has never let a kaiju stop him, let alone a mere attendant. He storms his way past the flurry of housekeepers, gardeners, and household staff — all of them combined is not nearly enough to stop him.

He halts in front of the wooden steps leading up to the front doors, huffing and catching his breath.

The stately Hoshina Estate looks intimidating with the shiny thatched roofs reflecting the brilliant sun.

The attendants have caught up to him now, their footsteps thudding on the rocks behind him. Hushed whispers of his identity and his purpose of coming reverberates through the field, making his chaotic heart thunder loudly in his chest.

“(Y/N), please come out! I’ve come to see you!”

For a moment, no one dares to step forward.

What is the Narumi Gen doing here? It’s no secret that Japan’s strongest anti-kaiju combatant has always been at odds with the Hoshina Family’s Hoshina Soshiro, but why has he come seeking for their young lady?

They all wait with bated breath. There is no response. What will he do next?

Gen gets down to his knees.

“(Y/N), please..!!”

The attendant from before scrambles to his side, gripping his arm in an effort to drag him out. Gen stubbornly stays rooted to his spot. He’s prepared to do this, however long it takes.

“Sir, please don’t cause any problems!”

“I just need a few seconds, please!” Gen frantically reasons, “(Y/N), I want to apologize, so please come out, damn it!”

A second attendant seizes his other arm, and just as he thought he’s going to fail, the front doors slide open.

Gen looks up to see you staring down at him. Next to you, your brother crosses his arms as his gaze trails down to him in amusement. The two Hoshina siblings, dressed in hakama, katanas resting snugly on both your hips as it gleams in the sunlight.

A shiver runs down Gen’s spine at the coldness of your glare.

The attendants immediately bow in your presence, “Our apologies for the ruckus. This person suddenly broke down the gate and forced his way in, insisting to meet with the Young Lady,” The attendant throws Gen a glare, to which he ignores, “Young Lord Soshiro, should we throw him out?”

“What d’ya think, Lil’ Sis?” Hoshina Soshiro wraps an arm around you protectively, “Should I throw ‘im out myself or should I get Soichiro?”

“No, no, wait! (Y/N), I made a mistake!” Gen inches his body up but immediately bows back again to retain his kneeling position, his legs now shivering from adrenaline, “I didn’t mean what I said that day! I was wrong, and I.. I’m sorry!”

He’s pretty sure the entire household can hear him screaming, but he genuinely doesn’t give a shit.

“You’re indispensable to the First Division and you totally don’t need me to watch your back, I was just.. I don’t know what I was thinking,” Gen doesn’t even dare to lift his face up, “I really regret saying those words, I…”

“Look at me when you apologize.”

Your sharp reply makes his head jolt upwards.

He can see an amused smirk creeping on your lips as you finally humor his attempt of trying to get your forgiveness.

“So you stormed my family estate just for this? Can’t this wait ‘til tomorrow?”

Gen shakes his head. “I’ve waited long enough to apologize. So... am I forgiven?”

You smile. “Well, now. No need to beg.”

Like a cue, the attendants finally let go of his aching arms.

You step to the side, inviting him to enter. “I was just training with my brothers. Wanna join?”

Gen practically beams as he makes his way to you. He trips on the last step, almost falling on his face, and smiles sheepishly when he finally reaches the door. “Pardon the intrusion.”

After you disappear deeper into the house, Soshiro turns to Gen and shakes his head. “Yer’ a mess.”

Gen laughs. “For your sister, I always am.”

They make their way inside, walking next to each other rather awkwardly.

“Don’t let Soichiro hear that. Yer’ gonna get a beating.”

“If that means we can be brother-in-laws, sure.”

Soshiro scrunches his nose in disgust. “Wouldn’t count on it. Yer’ not even dating.”

Gen hums. Maybe he should ask Eiji how to go about that.

Writing this is so much fun, should I make this a series?

yahoo~ can i get a uh big m narumi shamelessly pining over the second division's vice captain? 🤤 like i think it would be funny to read narumi repeatedly asking reader to just transfer to the first during meetings so he'll be able to admire her better and at the same time he's like dissing jura everytime he does it would be funny i think

Summary: With the nation's safety at risk, joint trainings are expected across Divisions. Narumi Gen, as the Captain of the First Divison, aims to make his very own division grow in strength—only by pestering you, the Second Division's Vice Captain, to transfer to their Division, of course.

Author's Reply: We have very little info about Jura's personality (except her being kinda temperal, I think?) so it was a bit of a struggle writing her interactions with Narumi 😭

Author's Note: I'll be taking a short break from writing oneshots so I can continue writing my Brains to Brawn Narumi series—but requests are open! I'll get back to them after writing Chapter 3.

Requests and messages are welcome on my ask box! Please view my navigation too ♡ Likes, reblogs, and comments are appreciated.

Yahoo~ Can I Get A Uh Big M Narumi Shamelessly Pining Over The Second Division's Vice Captain? Like I

For the third round of joint exercises, the Second Division is expected to host Officers from both the First and Third Division. As Jura Igarashi's second-in-command, you are tasked to oversee the training held in your base, taking into consideration the fighting styles honed by each participating division. That said, the meeting for the third round of joint exercises was supposed to start roughly 30 minutes ago, if it weren't for the commotion just outside the conference room.

"Let me in! I SAID LET ME IN! Do you not know who I am?!"

Everyone who can hear the commotion sighed, knowing all too well whose voice and antics it belonged to.

"S-sir, protocol says that only verified attendees have permission to enter—"

"Are you saying I'm not allowed inside?!? I'm the Captain of THE strongest Division, y'know! Hasegawa, my Vice Captain, is inside! It doesn't make sense that his Captain is off-limits here!!"

You looked at Hasegawa, who was seating across from you; raising your eyebrow as if to silently say, 'What are you gonna do with him?'

He only shook his head in defeat, knowing that Captain Narumi won't stop 'til he gets what he wants. Sighing, you stood up, deciding to deal with this yourself.

Narumi was still making a fuss by the time you opened the door, the two officers guarding it moving to the side to give you a proper salute. He was already on his knees, still muttering his pleas, unaware that you had stepped out to deal with him.

Sighing again, you knelt to meet his level. Waving your hand in front of him, you said, "...Captain, are you still there? If you have something you oh-so-desperately want to share in the conference, you're more than welcome to join us." albeit, against everyone's wishes.

His head snapped to meet your eyes so fast you thought it would detach from his neck. Looking at you with wide, bloodshot eyes, his mood significantly improved. Ah, is he seeing his savior, an angel sent from above?

"Under one condition, though," you continued, "Please don't make any ruckus inside. No gaming either. Speak only when you're permitted to by Captain Igarashi. Would that suffice?"

He nodded eagerly, no words forming in his mouth; he already thinks he's ascending to heaven just by seeing you. Or so he thought.

Aside from being denied the privilege to sit across you by Hasegawa, he can't stand hearing these people talk nonsense! He was expecting you to take charge of the meeting, why haven't you spoken a word?! His ears are at high alert every second that passes in case you speak—waiting and waiting to hear your voice once more. And why is Hoshina representing their division again?! He's starting to get agitated, leg bouncing impatiently and a finger continuously tapping the table, gradually getting louder.

Beside you is Captain Igarashi, who was slowly getting triggered by the noise. This didn't went unnoticed by you, of course, and she was already getting up to give Narumi an earful before you can even stop her.

"Oi, you're being a distraction! Stop doing that, you're not a kid!"

Naturally, the First Division Captain is triggered by this. "Are you calling me a kid, meathead?! You lashed out on me first, who's a kid now, huh?!? Sit your ass back down, you should be grateful to be graced by my presence!"

"And your presence is unwelcomed in our base! I'll report you for trespassing!"

"Oh yeah, oh yeah? I'll have your entire Division begging on my knees after hearing our very own proposal! Did'ya think I came here unprepared?!"

"My division, begging? Not in a million years! The second division yields to no one!"

You pulled your Captain by her sleeve to sit her back down and cleared your throat. "Ahem. I apologize for the commotion—please continue from where we left off."

Hoshina playfully grinned, "No need for that! I was able to cover everythin' Captain Ashiro asked me to relay to ya. You have more pressing matters to attend to, yes? Such as that twerp who's been starin' intently into yer head for the past hour, fellow Vice Cap."

Ah, yes—Captain Narumi did nothing but stare at you for the whole duration of the meeting. You were acting indifferent, but you just wanted to see how long he'll keep his word and act accordingly. "Very well, then. Captain Narumi, you mentioned a proposal from your division. Shall we hear it out?"

Oh. You were finally addressing him. He's beyond ecstatic; his anger is gone in an instant.

He uncharacteristically sat up properly, a mix of seriousness and smugness exuding from him. Taking this opportunity, he made eye contact with you, not once diverting his eyes elsewhere. (Hasegawa, however, seems uneasy. Was he not informed of any proposals?)

"That's right. It goes without saying, but the First Division is an elite division—the strongest of our forces. The stronger our forces get, the stronger I myself become. As Japan's Strongest Anti-Kaiju Combatant, I'm in need of an even greater source of strength..."

It all happened too fast — In a blink of an eye, Captain Narumi was now kneeling before you. Taking both of your hands in his, he declared, "YOU HAVE TO MOVE TO MY DIVISION! I promise I'll give you perks better than this meathead Captain of yours gives you, I'll grow incredibly stronger with you around and you don't have to worry about working overtime because we can just play BS5 together—"

SMACK!

You hear Hoshina laughing so hard he can't breathe as you looked over to see Hasegawa hitting Narumi's head with a rather thick stack of papers, lifting him as if he's a cat. "That's enough. I aplogize for his brash behavior, Vice Captain."

"NO! Hasegawa, put me down! I'm not done saying my proposal! Listen to me, I'm your Captain!!"

Jura, who was watching this transpire with controlled anger, got fueled up again. "Two-toned head! The next time you dare step in our turf, You'll be seeing your very own wanted posters!!"

This isn't supposed to be anything new to you, definitely not — it's not the first time Captain Narumi asked you to transfer to the First. But you were taken aback with how fast everything happened, you were basically unable to speak.

"Uh... I appreciate the offer?"

Hasegawa dropped Narumi back in his seat, appearing like a small dejected kitty. His vice captain offered an apology once more, asking to proceed with the meeting.

It didn't go unnoticed to you how unusually down Narumi is afterwards, though. Was he really upset this time?

After wrapping up the meeting, you stayed behind to organize the reports given by each division. A stack of paper slipped from your grasp, and before you can even pick them up, a figure gathered them surprisingly fast.

"Captain... Narumi? Shouldn't you go back to your base?"

He spoke softly, "Did you keep it? The Yamazon boxes I sent your way. It's full of stuff you might like."

Ah. The last time he asked you to transfer, he barged in with a handful of Yamazon boxes, full of things that you fancy. Recalling the contents, it was packed with new editions of books you loved reading, cute blind boxes figurines, an entire collection of hundred pieces jigsaw puzzle, raccoon plushies, and a lot more. He follows you on social media, and you always repost whatever catches your interests.

"Of course I did! I bought myself a brand new bookshelf to keep the books and store the puzzles' boxes, and decorated them using the figurines from the blind boxes and raccoon plushies!" You smiled, sharing what you did with each of them. Pulling out your phone, you showed him a photo of your cute little arrangement. "Here, I was satisfied with the outcome, it's my favorite part of my office."

He was staring intently at the photo, taking time to admire your arrangement. The little raccoon keychain dangling from your phone didn't escape his attention either. "I never got to formally give you my gratitude, but please know I'm beyond thankful for these."

Narumi has been looking at your phone for a solid few minutes now, concern taking over your features.

"Captain?"

He gently held the wrist holding your phone and looked at you, "I really, really like you a lot, y'know."

You feel your heart skip a beat, face suddenly warming. He's really full of surprises, the softness and sincerity in his tone evident.

"I mean it when I said I need you in the First Division. Think it over, please?"

Were you imagining things, or has he really been this close to you since a moment ago? Despite how a bit flustered you've been, you refused to get swayed by anything, as you already have a duty you swore to uphold.

"Captain Narumi, please listen—it's not that I'm against your division, it's just that I already have a duty I've yet to fulfill here. Now isn't the right time for me to leave this place." you said with determination.

He pouted, understanding that being with you isn't gonna be as easy he as he wants. He was about to speak when you held up your phone in his face again.

"However, I can compromise. If you want to see me that badly, save your number here and give me a call whenever, wherever." you said, turning your face away from him.

Hearing this instantly lit him up, wasting no time grabbing your phone and entering his number. He dramatically cleared his throat, newfound determination firing him up. "Fine, I'll accept. But just so you know! I'm not giving up on your transfer." he said, smugly crossing his arms.

Giving him one last smile before you part ways, you point at his phone and said, "I'll be looking forward to working with you in the future, Captain Narumi."

Curiously, he opened his contacts to see your number saved, followed with a "Future Right-hand Woman" next to your name.

Oh, he's definitely gonna mess with Jura harder than before.

PART ONE: LIKE CATS AND DOGS

 LIKE OIL AND WATER

“Stop! I’m gonna die!”

“No, you’re not.”

“I am! Slow down, will you?! I don’t think I can... ah—”

“Huh? You’re so wet...”

“How can I not be wet when the boss is literally a gigantic drop of water?!”

“Yeah, no wonder you almost died. I’m using an electric type character so you’ll also take damage if you’re wet.”

You furiously tap at your screen, trying to avoid the barrage of attacks from both the boss and your oblivious teammate. “Whatever! Stop using your skills, I’m gonna die...!!” As if on cue, your character does a little fainting effect and drops on the ground as the screen flashes red. “Ah... I’m dead.”

Narumi Gen lets out a disbelieved ‘haaah?’ before leaning over to glance at your phone, chuckling. “You suck at this.”

You glare at him. “Then don’t play with me!”

“Aww, don’t get so pouty, I told you I like playing with you.” There’s a surprising honesty in his voice as he smirks at you. “Anyway, don’t you feel cold?”

Now that he mentions it, you are cold. For some odd reason, Narumi’s room is always kept at freezing temperatures, one would think he’s using it to store meat.

He moves faster than you can reply. With one swift motion, he grabs the covers from his bed and drapes it over you.

“C-Captain Narumi!”

He grins and flicks your forehead gently. “I told you to drop the honorifics when we’re alone. Why are you calling me ‘Captain Narumi’ again?”

“Y-you don’t need to...! Your covers will get dirty!”

He shrugs before rolling on his stomach and lifting the remaining covers over his own body. “It’s fine, I do this all the time.”

At a loss for words, you can only gape at him. You’re well aware that this is a weird dynamic to have with your superior. Sometimes you feel guilty to be on the receiving end of Narumi’s obvious affection when he acts like a total prick to his other subordinates, but even the Vice-Captain himself assures you that everyone is just glad that you’re there to put him on a leash.

Meanwhile, the root cause of the problem is totally unaware, already engrossed in his game. “You want my help to defeat the newest boss, right? Let’s go.” He finally speaks, running a hand to sweep back his bangs as he tilts his head to look at you.

You bite your lip and look away. Literally everyone in the force (including you) knows that Narumi Gen is a handsome man, but lately you’ve started to notice him more. “I should probably get some sleep or I’ll be too tired for morning training.”

Narumi grunts. “So what? I always let you off.”

You’re once again rendered speechless. It’s true; whenever your movements get sloppy during morning trainings, he always pretends not to see anything (before proceeding to scold another person for falling behind).

— But to think that he’d actually admit to giving preferential treatments out loud!

“Y-you shouldn’t do that, you know!”

“Who cares? We always train together after that anyway.”

You look away, hoping the darkness of his room is enough to mask your embarrassment. “Whatever,” Scrambling to change the topic, you added, “I wonder what Hoshina is doing right now.”

“Haaah?! Why are you suddenly mentioning that guy?!”

 LIKE OIL AND WATER

Hoshina Soshiro sneezes just as he’s about to enter the shared bath. ‘I must’ve trained too hard...’ he thinks to himself, rubbing his nose lightly.

After a long day of exterminating kaiju, he’s always looking forward to soak in the hot water. He slings a towel over his shoulder and steps in, only to see that it’s already crowded inside. Hibino Kafka, Ichikawa Reno, Furuhashi Iharu, Izumo Haruichi, and Kaguragi Aoi nearly jump out the bath as he slides the door open, acting like he’s caught them in the middle of murdering someone.

Hoshina blinks in confusion as the men instantly tries to act like nothing’s wrong. Ichikawa clears his throat awkwardly, Furuhashi and Izumo start whispering to each other, Kaguragi stares at the ceiling like there’s a kaiju stuck up there, and Kafka starts whistling loudly.

“O—kay, what’s going on?”

They immediately backpedal. Ichikawa shoves Hibino so hard that the man nearly stumbles out of the bath. He’s quick to recover as he looks up at his Vice-Captain, clasping his hands in front of his chest.

“Vice-Captain Hoshina...! Tell us the truth!”

Hoshina’s expression immediately blanks.

“What he means is!” Furuhashi interjects, elbowing Hibino away, “We really, really want to know!”

Izumo pushes the two out of his way. “Sorry, Vice-Captain. We were just wondering if you’ve got yourself a girlfriend.” He rubs the back of his neck as the other men nod in response.

“Yes, please tell us!”

Tilting his head, Hoshina wonders where they got such an idea. “Where’s this coming from...?”

“Well.. you’ve been checking your phone a lot and smiling at it...” Ichikawa answers in a small voice.

Hoshina blinks in mild surprise. Now that he thinks about it, he has been checking his phone a lot lately to see if he’s gotten a new message from you. The way you chat is as adorable as the way you act in real life, so he supposes he might have been smiling once or twice... or a couple more times... or maybe everytime...?

Smiling, Hoshina shrugs and hops into the bath. “Maybe, maybe not.”

“Ehh?! What’s with that answer?!” Everyone complains at his vague reply, although no one dares to force him to elaborate.

It’s not like Hoshina has to say anything, though; the smile on his face is answer enough. Oh, they can’t wait to share this with the entirety of the Third Division.

 LIKE OIL AND WATER

“You look like shit.”

Narumi almost drops the can on his hand. Turning on his heels, he glares at Hasegawa, who’s standing with his arms crossed, eyeing him from head to toe. “Shut up.”

Hasegawa shakes his head. “Don’t spend all day playing games. Touch some grass, stay hydrated, bathe in the warm sunlight.”

“What am I, a plant?!” He yells as Hasegawa rolls his eyes and disappears out the door.

Opening the can, Narumi sighs and gulps down mouthfuls of coffee. For the first time ever, Hasegawa is wrong. It’s true that he usually spends his day off playing games, but today he has something else planned.

Kaiju Slayer II is playing at the cinemas right now and it’s the perfect opportunity to ask you out. His favorite series and his favorite person — oh, what a perfect day it will be.

One problem persists: how on earth does he go about saying it?! What if you don’t want to go out? What if you see him as a bother? What if you agree just because he’s your superior? (He spent all night staring at his ceiling until sunrise, stressing over the best way to ask you out.)

Just then, he spots you rounding the corner and his heart sinks to the bottom of his stomach. Throwing his empty can on the bin, he’s so close to chickening out but it’s too late — you’re already waving at him, walking over happily — so he watches helplessly, admiring how beautiful you look in casual clothes.

“Morning, Captain Narumi! Or should I call you Gen? It’s our day off, after all!”

Narumi melts at how sweetly his name rolls out your tongue. “Good morning.” He replies softly, “Are you going somewhere?”

You smile brightly at him. “Yes!”

Your cheerful reply makes him regain his confidence. If you’re already planning to go out, surely you’re okay with him tagging along. Mustering his courage, he’s about to pop the question before—

“I’m meeting up with Hoshina!”

Narumi’s world comes crashing down. His words are caught in his throat as he opens and closes his mouth like a fish out of water.

Meanwhile, oblivious that you’ve just broken Narumi’s heart in two, you rattle on happily, “To celebrate their new movie, a cafe is doing a collaboration with my favorite show! Hoshina asked me to come with him, I can’t believe he likes that show too! He doesn’t look like the type of guy to watch movies, you know? Oh, anyway, the show is called—”

“Kaiju Slayer.” Narumi finishes, sighing in exasperation.

Your eyes widen. “No way, Captain Narumi, you watch Kaiju Slayer too?!”

Narumi massages his pounding temple.

Damn that Hoshina. Damn him to hell.

 LIKE OIL AND WATER

You feel a wave of déjà vu wash over you.

Right now you’re sitting in one of the booth of the bustling cafe, decorated to the nines with the theme of your favorite show. You should be happy, right? Yeah... maybe if you’re not thrown in the middle of a battlefield, squished between Narumi Gen (who’s sulking as he pouts and crosses his arms) and Hoshina Soshiro (who seems slightly interested by the sudden turn of events as he glances at you).

“I’m sorry, Hoshina...” You bow your head at him, “He insists on tagging along...”

Hoshina smiles at you assuringly. “Don’t worry about it! Looking after such a man-child must be so hard on ya, huh?”

“Don’t talk as if I’m not here!” The man-child in question seethes before going back to pouting.

“You look as beautiful as always.” Hoshina has become an expert at ignoring Narumi as he takes in your appearance, his eyes twinkling. “Please excuse me.” He leans in closer and tucks a stray hair behind your ear, letting his fingers linger on your ear just a moment too long.

You forgot how to breathe. Behind you, you can feel a surging tornado going berserk.

“Hands off, Hoshina! You sneaky lizard, you... you...!!”

“You look good as well.” You manage to breathe out, sweeping your gaze shyly over Hoshina’s attire. He’s clad in black — black turtleneck, black trousers, black boots — only his oversized jacket is the color of his hair, a deep dark purple.

He raises a hand to cover his mouth as he chuckles. His jacket moves slightly and you can see the faint outlines of his muscles. That turtleneck does nothing but highlight the shape of his body. You blush harder.

“Hey?! Hellooo?! I’m still here!” Your captain protests behind you, only to be cut off mid-way when a waitress makes her way to your table.

“Welcome to the cafe! Are you ready to or- oh!” She gasps, making all three of you turn to look at her. The waitress’s attention is on Narumi as she beckons her friend over.

“It’s Captain Narumi of the Defense Force!” One of them giggles, “We’re big fans!”

Normally Narumi would be happy to entertain his ‘fans’, but not right now, not in front of you! He can only nod tightly, grimacing as their excitement grows.

“Ohoho? Never took you for a player, Narumi.”

“What’s with you and wanting to make me look bad?! You wanna take this outside?!” Before he can grab Hoshina by his collar and drag him out, more and more people have started to crowd your table, swarming Narumi and asking to take photos with him. You watch in amusement as Narumi gets more and more dismayed. You’re aware that your captain has a lot of fans, but looking at the interaction in real life is quite comical.

Suddenly you feel a tug on your arm. Looking up, you see Hoshina smiling down at you, his eyes shining mischievously as he puts a finger in front of his lips. “Let’s abandon him here, yeah?”

He doesn’t wait for your reply, already speed-walking out of the cafe with a flustered you in tow. You gasp and managed to grab your bag, narrowly missing Narumi’s arm that shoots out to reach for you. “Catch you later, Gen!” Smiling at him apologetically, you take off as his yells are drowned out by the crowd.

Once you’re outside, Hoshina lets go of your arm before slipping his hand down to intertwine it in yours. Your eyes instantly shoots up to meet his own and he laughs. He laughs so beautifully at your obvious astonishment as he grips your hand tighter.

“Let’s lose him here.” He turns his head just as your cheeks explode in crimson to lead you in the direction of a shopping mall. Honestly, at that moment, you’d follow him anywhere.

“Oh? A purikura.” Hoshina suddenly stops, “Wanna take a photo together?”

Smiling, you nod and let him pull you to the photo booth. He excitedly taps on the screen, seemingly unaware that his arms are now pressing on the sides of your body. Your heart is pounding loudly. It takes everything in you not to combust at the close proximity. Somehow, you manage to pose a couple of times.

After stepping outside, Hoshina takes the results and hands you one of it. “We look so cute~” He coos.

Your first few poses are pretty normal, just the two of you smiling directly at the camera. On the next ones, though, you’ve boldly sneaked a peace sign behind Hoshina’s head. He seems to notice it because on the last photo, he is gazing down at you tenderly with a small smile on his face.

“Oops, looks like the camera caught me.” He sees you freeze and places a hand over your own, chuckling to himself. “I can’t help myself. You’re so cute.”

Exhaling, you’re about to tell him to stop teasing you when you see the serious expression on his face. You immediately bite back your tongue.

“’m serious about you,” Hoshina confesses, eyes opening slightly to reveal his gorgeous crimson irises, “so can you give me the pleasure of courting you?”

Being with Hoshina always feels like being whisked to a fairytale. He’s always so gentle, calm, and compassionate — but at that moment, you see the raw passion in his eyes. You can only nod mutely, barely registering his movements as he leans in and pecks your forehead. You blush instantly, slamming your hands to your forehead. “H-huh..?”

Hoshina smiles and takes both of your hands, bringing them down and holding them tight. “Sorry, can’t help myself. You’re so pretty, and-” He dips his head down, the feeling of his breath on your skin making you shiver, “you smell so good.”

His eyes are nothing short of predatory as he leans back to study you. You’re not sure what kind of expression you have on your face but it seems to amuse him because he moves forward, brushing his lips against your neck. “Excuse me,” He whispers before kissing it hotly.

Your mind is short-circuiting, only brought back to reality when he finally pulls away. “Heh, sorry, was that too much?” Tilting his head at your lack of resistance, he chuckles lowly, “Gonna have to speak up if you wanna stop me from doing somethin’, you know? Otherwise you’re gonna make me think you want me to continue.”

That’s the thing — you don’t want him to stop.

“That reminds me... Are you on a first name basis with Narumi?” Hoshina hides his irritation well, but this time you can see his annoyance slip through. “You’re gonna have to start calling me Soshiro from now on.”

It’s like you’ve been hit by a combo, a chain attack; first the confession, then the forehead kiss, then the—

Hoshina brings his lips to whisper in your ear. “So? Do it, call me Soshiro.”

If you are in a game, that move right there is definitely a critical hit.

“S-Soshiro...?”

He finally straightens back and ruffles your hair, acting like he hasn’t just made your heart run a marathon then stop it from beating altogether. “Good girl.”

K-O.

 LIKE OIL AND WATER

Your day off feels like a fever dream. You still daydream about it sometimes.

Holidays are few and far between in the Defense Force. You wanted to make the most of it by going to a collab cafe. Instead, you had to feel the full force of Narumi Gen’s jealousy as he stubbornly inserts himself into your plans, escape his fans by letting Hoshina Soshiro pull you with him, and...

Involuntarily, your hand shoots up to your neck.

Hoshina Soshiro is a dangerous, dangerous man.

“Platoon Leader?”

Narumi’s voice snaps you from your thoughts. Straightening your posture, you blink a few times. Right. You’re at work right now.

Narumi, Hasegawa, and the entirety of the First Divison Platoon Leaders are currently visiting the Tachikawa Base for a joint training program. After the formal introductions, everyone gathered in one of the huge training fields. You’ve become acquainted with the Third Division’s Captain, Ashiro Mina, and the other members of her division.

“My apologies, Captain Narumi.” You wince, shaking your head to get your focus back. Thankfully it’s break time right now.

There’s a flash of worry in Narumi’s eyes. He hands you a bottle of water, to which you take gratefully. Just then, a couple figures make their presence known.

Hibino is once again shoved forward by his friends. His eyes flit between you and Narumi nervously. “Umm,” he starts, twiddling his fingers, “May I ask you something?”

“Sure! What is it?”

Ichikawa gives him another push before Hibino finally exclaims, “Is it true that you and Vice-Captain Hoshina are dating?!”

The volume of his voice is enough to catch the attention of nearby soldiers. They all turn to look at you with interest in their faces. Meanwhile, you’re growing increasingly flustered. “U-uh, wha-”

“Oh, really? You never told me.” Even the stoic Ashiro Mina is interested, covering her mouth with her hand as she looks at her vice-captain.

Hoshina has the biggest smile on his face. “Oh my.” He comments, refusing to elaborate.

You feel another arrival of a cyclone next to you.

“H-Haaahhh?! This is the first time I heard about this!” Narumi yells, making Hibino and Ichikawa shrink back in fear.

“C-Captain Narumi, it’s not like that! We’re not dating!” Aghast, you blush in embarrassment at having to clarify the relationship you have with Hoshina.

“Platoon Leader, you’re so cold! I have the picture to prove it, y’know?” Hoshina says in a sing-song voice, walking over to the crowd.

The ambiguity of his sentence only made the situation worse. Judging by the sickly sweet smile on his face, you have a sudden sinking feeling that he’s doing it on purpose.

“What?!” You hold your breath as Narumi spins you around to face him, “What is going on?!”

“Captain Narumi, you can’t possibly believe-”

“Hoshina! I’m so happy for you!”

“Shut up for a moment, Ashiro!” After saying that, Narumi pulls you away to a more quiet space, leaving behind the shell-shocked soldiers.

Captain Narumi is scary when he’s angry. Right now, he’s glaring at you so hard, it makes you want to melt to the ground. “Come see me after the day ends.” He whispers as you feel another wave of déjà vu wash over you. The last time he calls for you, he let you off with a couple of kisses. This time? You’re not so sure.

“Ah, there you are!”

Hoshina walks over and pulls you free from Narumi’s grasp, meeting his furious gaze evenly. “You always hog her to yourself. It’s annoying.” He says sweetly, venom lacing his words. “Anyway, what’re you doing after this? I want to continue where we left off...”

You stare in terror as Narumi’s anger finally reaches boiling point.

“The hell do you mean by that, Hoshinaaa?!!! You, you-”

“So noisy. You wanna take this outside?”

“Hell yeah I wanna take this outside!”

“But we’re already outside, idiot.”

“Boys! Boys,” Placing a hand on their chest to stop them from mauling each other, you look at the sky and sigh in exasperation. “Let’s be civilized, please!”

“Then meet me first tonight.” Hoshina grins, “After that you can compare me with that idiot. I guarantee—”

“What, you think I’m afraid?!” Narumi has lost all his composure by now, “Okay, do it then! I promise you, I can show you a whole lotta better time than this guy!”

You gulp when the two men turns their head in sync to look at you, urging you to agree to their little arrangement.

Yikes. Looks like you’ve bitten off more than you can chew...?!

Just imagining a cat-kaiju fem reader in the Defense Force, like a catgirl, I wonder what would the interaction with the others would look like? Some might be romantic and some might be platonic, and the reader and Bakko is like super close since they’re literally cats lol

Yeah, I went so overboard with this. Been desperate for someone to request something like this! Thank you!

Warnings; blood, death and cats :3

Just Imagining A Cat-kaiju Fem Reader In The Defense Force, Like A Catgirl, I Wonder What Would The Interaction

At first you weren’t taken seriously. Yeah, you were a Kaiju, but you had the semi-appearance of a cat, permanently; tail and ears included. You went from a respected defence force officer to a cat-girl, it was like some sort of joke.

Captain Hoshina found it hilarious. He nearly passed out from laughing. “Hey, L/N, do you think you meow too?” he had asked you through hysterical sobs. His reaction was echoed by a lot of people in the force. Not only that, but many whispers also started, rumours and speculation rose from the force and eventually word got out the public that they had a cat-girl on the force.

You became a celebrity for all the wrong reasons. The force had tried to contain the hysteria of the public – they were not aware you were a kaiju. If they were to find that you were, both you and Kafka would be forced to retire and be weaponised.

This caused you to sink into a depression. You had been training so hard, your suit output power had reached 27% and now you were viewed as a joke. Cat-girls were seen as cute and small. They meant to look sweet and pretty. In many ways, they’re weak.

Kafka thought it was awesome that there was someone like him in the field. He adored that he could finally confide in someone about what he was feeling, and they would actually understand him. Secretly, he thought your partially transformed appearance was cute. He couldn’t help but admire the way your tail swayed when you were annoyed, or the movements of your ears when you overheard something. The same goes for Kikoru. She knew how strong you were even before becoming a Kaiju, she had nothing but respect for you. Even so, she teased you, amused at you new mannerisms.

Still, the same precautions were taken with you as were with Kaiju no.8. You were taken to a facility and assessed by none other than Gen Narumi. He wasn’t pleased you’d interrupted his gaming; he’d already made his mid up you weren’t worth his time. Once again, you’d fallen victim to the cat-girl prejudice.

“Let’s get this over with,” was the first and only thing he’d said to you before he began his assault. He couldn’t land a single hit. Your reflexes matched his own, even with his kaiju foresight. His original estimations of your power were now overshadowed. “Uh huh,” he had said, looking you up and down in disbelief. Your fortitude? 9.1.

You stood defensively, your arms in the shape of an ‘x’ in front of your face, clawlike nails ready to parry Narumi’s weapon. You were only able to transform your eyes, ears, forearms and calves; you were on the defensive. You panted slightly, his attacks had been fast and heavy. Your human body wouldn’t have been able to keep up with him, but your Kaiju form took it with ease. Granted, Narumi wasn’t going all out, if he had he probably would have destroyed the testing room, you included.

A newfound respect formed in that moment. You were deemed Kaiju no. 16. Though it would only last if you showed him results. Gen allowed a trial run for you on the field. Given that Kafka was already in the First Division, Gen had you transferred back to the Third Division, under Mina Ashiro’s command.

Mina was secretly thrilled to have you in her division. You weren’t aware of it at the time, but many of her officers looked up to you, since you held your own against Narumi, so she was pleased you would be there to inspire. Hoshina also had some more respect for you, he was amused that you had humiliated Narumi.

Iharu, along the others, thought you were awesome. You were sung with praises when you arrived, they even through you a party. Swarmed by your friends, you were overwhelmed with emotion. Perhaps the first few days of isolation had caused you to form a narrative in your head that people didn’t like you. You yourself, had prejudices against cat-girls. But here, now, surrounded by such love and admiration, you saw that there was no room for such biases in the defence force.

During the party, many questions were thrown your way:

“What are your abilities?”

“Do always you land on your feet like a cat?”

“Can you see in the dark?”

“Do you eat mice?” – Hoshina

“What can you use your tail for?”

“Do you have paws?”

“Do you have fur?”

“Can you jump really high?”

The simple answer to all those questions was: “I don’t know”.

You hadn’t really had time to test out your abilities, nor had you ever fully transformed. Fear caused this, denial of it being real and resentment for yourself. Yeah, being a cat-girl is cool on paper, but you were a Kaiju. It wasn’t sunshine and rainbows as many people had been thinking.

***

Before being deployed in the field, you were to be trained but Hoshina himself. He needed to know your abilities in detail, so he could personally dispose of you if necessary.

Much to your surprise, Reno and Ihrau, offered to help with your training too. They wanted to help since you were their friend, but also wanted to see how well you could all worked together. Since they had experience fighting alongside Kaiju no. 8, it was approved that they would help with your training.

You first day was one-on-one with Hoshina. Today’s training was all about fully transforming. You had outputted a fortitude of 9.1. partially transformed. Now was your time to show off what you could do without being afraid.

Hoshina had told you “I’m not going to hold back. If I hurt you, that on you. Do everything you can to stop me. I want to see what you have to offer. Show me who you are, L/N.”

Once again, you could only partially transform. Hoshina slashed and slashed at you, but you parried him every time, your claws as sharp as his blades. Your internal monologue was doing overtime. Please was the only word you repeated, over and over again. Desperately reaching into the depths of your core to find the strength to fully transform. All the while, Hoshina’s blades rained hell on you relentlessly. He was in the zone, completely set on forcing you to transform, giving you no other option but to harden the skin on your chest as he triple-attacked.

Your chest now covered in white fur. You’re joking, you thought. Staring down at your chest you ran your hand over the fur. So soft. But how does fur stop Hoshina’s blades? Fingering deeper into the fur, you felt the skin beneath. Rock solid.

“So, you do have fur,” Hoshina mused. He took note of the sour look on your face, he figured out quickly there was a part of yourself that resented being a kaiju. “Stop.” His voice pulled you out of the trance you had been in. Confused you tilled your head to the side, cocking a brow at him. “You’re thinking too much about it. Stop. If you start thinking like that on the field, you’re dead.”

He was right, you had to pull it together and swallow your pride. At the end of the day, you were more powerful in this form, whether you liked it or not.

Now more focused than before, you got low, mirroring the captain, and mimicking a cat on the hunt. Good, he thought, she’s locked in.

You circled each other, prowling low to the ground. Your field of vision grew, making it easier to take in your surroundings. Your catlike ears amplified Hoshina’s breathing, you could hear his heart pounding in his chest. Your nose changed also; your nostrils took in Hoshina’s scent. It was almost like you could smell excitement coming off him. A low growl came from your chest, you felt your mouth twist and morph, a shining set of canines sit snug in your mouth.

Baring your new fangs at the captain, you snarl, daring him to come closer. The captain took your warning as an invitation. Faster than before, he dashes over to you, his swords shaving off bits of your fur. In response, you harden more of your skin, the fur now covering your thighs and neck. Your claws parry him ceaselessly, desperately trying to keep him at bay. Your enhances senses helped you predict his movements. He was fast, but you were faster. Using the strength of you legs you run across the wall, getting behind him. Raising your leg high in the air, you bring it down on Hoshina, but he is nowhere to be found.

You were certain you’d manage to switch the narrative. “Going from defensive to offensive so quickly?” Hoshina stands next to you, his blade to your throat, a glimmer of pleasure in his eyes. He sizes you up, a smirk growing on his face. “For a cat, you look pretty good,” he chuckles. Taken aback, you look down at your arms, they’re covered in fur. You gasp at the sight, clawing at your face to feel the same soft texture. Heat rises in your cheeks, your ears standing on end and tail wagging rapidly.

“I’ve never seen a cat blush before,” Hoshina teases, you promptly tell him to shut up, not before he begins laughing again.

You did it. You fully transformed. Fortitude? 9.8.

Still standing on two legs, your feet looked like paws. They were big but well rounded, the pads on the bottom were cushioned making it easy to travers rough terrain. Your calves and thighs were well defined, this added to your strength and agility; you felt like you could jump higher than the clouds. Your tail was dense and strong, it could easily hold up your weight if needed. You still had hair on your head, the same long hair you had before only now, it was a smokey grey. Your eyes were a beautiful ice blue and your fur a snow white, patches of dark grey spotted your coat. Looking up at Hoshina cautiously, you started “I’m…Am I…”

“A snow leopard” he finished. How amusing, he thought to himself.

Before the two of you could continue, Bakko burst through the door. The tiger kaiju mewled and pounced around, clearly happy to see another feline Kaiju. Bounding up to you, he rubbed his head against your side, licking at your hands. Blushing more, your tail came to cover your face, unsure of how to handle the tiger. Mina followed into the room soon after, worried at what he pet might do. Pleasantly surprised at the sight that greeted her, a soft smile grew. “Congratulations, Y/N.”

Pride swelled inside you. After everything, you could still fight along side the captain. Excited for what the future holds, you let out a sweet chuff before reverting back to your ‘normal’ form, your ears and tail still visible.

The following day you were set to train with Reno and Iharu. Captain Hoshina kept watch from atop the wall, while the three of you were to clear the training course.

“Alright! I hope you’re as pumped as I am, Y/N!” Iharu, lightly punched your shoulder, a cocky look on his face. “You too, Reno. Just know, I’m coming for you too,” Iharu chuckled.

You gave reno a confused look, one of your ears falling down. Reno only sighs, shrugging his shoulders.

“Okay gang, all you have to do today is clear the remaining Kaiju.” Hoshana’s voice rang in your ears, “Those being 5 yoju and 1 Honju, pretty easy stuff. You’re being assessed on your ability to work together and your efficiency at transforming. Ichikawa and Furuhashi, you are to assist L/N, you are not to take down the Kaiju unless absolutely necessary. This is a training exercise for L/N, don’t go getting too greedy now.”

Iharu let out a disappointed groan, “I was so ready to kill those kaiju!”

You understood, you’d never faced a kaiju in action, and as of now you’ve only transformed once, in the face of danger you might not be able to transform again. Reno and Iharu were here as a precaution, to bail you out if necessary.

“Oh, and also, this is a timed exam. Good luck!” With that a small cannon went of to commence the start of the training exercise.

“Exam?!” all three of you stared up at Hoshina’s shit-eating grin atop the wall. God damn him, you thought setting off in the direction of the scent. You’d picked up on all six of the Kaiju the second they’d opened the doors. They were scattered throughout the facility, with the Honju over in the far-right corner.

Following close behind you, Reno and Iharu kept a close eye on you, being sure to take in any signs of struggle the transform. But for you, transforming now felt as easy as jumping into a pool. Leaping into the air, the fur spread from you head down to your paws, landing on top of a Yoju, squishing it and its core. Taking a moment to sniff the air for the scent of the other Yoju, you looked back at the boys, using your head to point in the direction of the next Yoju.

Reno looked on in awe at you, crouching on the corpse of the Yoju. Your fur soaked in its blood, you looked majestic. A small tug was felt in his heart, what a strange sight to give him butterflies.

Iharu felt the same. You were so badass. It was plain to see that you could easily stand beside Captain Ashiro. Your fur whipped around in the wind, your tail moved to shield your eyes, he watched on, secretly wishing to touch your fur.

You cleared the other Yoju with ease and swiftly destroyed the Honju in one blow, Reno and Iharu didn’t have to fire a single shot. The training exercise was over and you’d managed cleared it in only 3 minutes and 36 seconds.

“Yeah, Alright!” Iharu wailed. Jumping down from the Honju’s carcass, you reverted to your normal form. He held his hands up to high five you, felling a stir in his stomach from your appearance. You gave him a big smile, your ears falling back in excitement, tail once again wagging around. He blushed ever so slightly, coughing to cover it up.

You turned to Reno, as you did, your tail brushed under Iharu’s chin. The fur of your tail was too dense for you to have noticed. His face lit up like a tomato, he had to turn away from you to hide his expression. So freaking soft, he thought.

“Thank you, thank you both for having my back out there. Now I know I can control my transformation, I hope I can be a bigger help on the field!” You gave Reno a candied smile, your head falling to the side. He kept his composure, but underneath he feels the same as Iharu. You were so cute, but you were badass, and you were determined to improve, something Reno could respect deeply.

This mutual crush sparked a new rivalry between the two. This time, it wasn’t not one sided.

***

The day of a mission comes. The regular pre-mission checks are complete. Hoshina assigns you and Reno to his platoon. You are tasked with taking down a Daikaiju with a fortitude of 8.2, a walk in the park for Hoshina, but this was another one of his tests, and it’s a big one.

Slightly peeved the captain assigned you with such a large Kaiju on your first mission, you whisper curses towards Hoshina under your breath as you ran across the roofs to the Diakaiju’s location.

“I’m sorry? What was that, L/N? I couldn’t quite here you,” Hoshina teased. You’d left the channel open deliberately so he could hear your disapproval.

Before you had the chance to tell him to shut up, the Diakaiju came into view. With one leap you closed the distance, ready to slash its body. You could sense its core was right in the centre of its mass along with…something else. All you had to do was tear away its thick, grotesque skin.

The original plan was to have Captain Ashiro take it down, but she had been held up by another Diakaiju. A simultaneous attack hadn’t been heard of until recently.

The damaged caused by the Diakaiju in front of you was too much to leave until Mina arrived. That’s why Hoshina had assigned you to dispose of it. Dickhead.

Using your claws you dug deeper into the side of its body, making your way to its core. Soon, Yoju swarmed around you, an attempt to keep the Daikaiju safe. Reno provided cover, shouting at you to keep on going.

Deeper into the side of its thick skin you dug, to find its shining core staring at you. Theres gotta be a more effective way for me to do this, you thought. Creating as much space as possible so you had a clear chance to slash its core, you tore away more of its vile flesh. The putrid smell stung your nose. Finally with enough space to slash its core, you raised your clawed hand ready to destroy the beast once and for all, only to be met with a twisted face.

“I’m not ready to die yet,” its croaky voice creaked. “You are though,” before you had time to react, you were ejected from the Kaiju. You were sent spinning through the air at such a high speed, you passed out from the g-force. Your Kaiju form deactivated when you passed out, so when you slammed into and through a building, your suit was the only protection from the blast. It wasn’t enough. Your core had been destroyed.

Your friends mourned you that day. Hoshina felt so guilty, he could have just taken that Kaiju on himself, then maybe he would have died in your stead. You had so much potential, and to be honest, he liked you more than he should have.

Reno and Iharu were in bits, you were their friend. You’d become a trio in the time of your training, they would treasure those memories forever.

Even the public mourned you. You’d died a hero.

The Diakaiju had managed to escape after revealing itself to be an unidentified Kaiju.

***

Your wake was eerily silent. No one talked, no one dared too. For the first time, Captain Ashrio looked genuinely sad. She never showed that side to the public before. She comforted Bakko, who in turn, comforted her. Hoshina couldn’t talk, he was a shell of himself; forced to carry this burden for the rest of this life. Iharu and Reno stifled sobs, staring painfully at their food, unable to eat. Word got out to the First Division, Kafka and Kikoru cried, unable to attend the wake due to another attack. Even Gen felt the less, pausing his game to take a moment to remember you when a cat came on screen.

But, you see, there’s an old myth that says cats have nine lives.

Sliding open the door to the wake, you stood, a white sheet wrapped around you, skin as pale as a ghost.

Reno and Iharu grabbed each other and shrieked. This was echoed by many others, screams and wails bounced around the room. You winced at the noise; your ears still sensitive from waking up. You yawned slightly, walking over to where the two boys were sat, stealing a piece of meat from Reno’s plate. You hummed at the flavour, taking a swig of Iharu’s drink.

You blinked up at him, confused at to why Reno was cradling him. “What?” you voice slightly croaky, “Why are you looking at me like that? And why are you all wearing black?”

You had no idea you’d been dead for a week. Hoshina broke to silence, letting out the loudest and most genuine belly laugh ever, tears formed at the corner of his eyes. Soon the room erupted into happy tears. Mina filled you in that you had seemingly passed away.

Shocked, you apologies for scaring everyone. Hugging Reno and Iharu, reassuring them that you were real. You were brought some clothes and after you had changed you joined in your own wake.

“Don’t let me stop you, you teased. Please, share your stories of how great I am,” you joked, staring up at all the smiling faces of your friends. Who would have thought you’d have to die to feel so loved?

Bonus information:

Hoshina hugged you after the wake. He’d definitely had too much to drink. It took a lot for him not to drunkenly confess to you.

You curl up when you sleep and use your tail as a pillow.

Often you find yourself laying your head people lap’s. Your core body temperature is lower than normal, so you seek heat often.

Instead of snoring in your sleep you purr.

Iharu and Reno figured out Hoshina also has a crush on you and so added him, unknowingly, into the rivalry.

Hoshina leaves you cat toys because he thinks it’s funny.

Bakko and you often cuddle together. Snow leopards are closely related to tigers, so you get along really well.

Mina trusts you wholeheartedly but needs you to train more before she feels confident sending you out into the field again. She doesn’t want you burning through your nine lives too fast.

Iharu and Hoshina, when stood beside or behind you, stroke your tail. You often don’t notice.

Hoshina also puts your tail up to his face, like a mustache, to make people laugh.

Reno does extensive research on snow leopards to try and accommodate you better.

The whole world spins before your eyes — (you have a sudden sinking feeling that he took that hit on purpose) — as your crash to the ground.

FEATURING: Narumi Gen x f!reader x Hoshina Soshiro

He finally straightens back and ruffles your hair, acting like he hasn’t just made your heart run a marathon then make it stop beating.
