I learned from a video essay about deaf representation in media that Alexander Graham Bell was a racist and ableist asshole. he believed in eugenics and changed the education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

And he isn't the inventor of the telephone but just the guy who got the patent. b/c society was too classist for an Italian immigrant Antonio Meucci to pay the fee and renew his patent.
