SUMMARY: reader is a member of the Golden Path. Under Amita’s command you have to sneak to the Royal Palace to kill Pagan Min. But when you’re about to fulfill your mission, you find youself unable to – under charm of king Min, you decide to switch the path and stand by the side of the Royal Army, becoming one of the leaders.

Paul De Pleur was sitting comfortably in a decorated chair.
He was in the basement of his fortress, Varshakot.
Before him there were two soldiers.
"Boss, I'm sorry but they were well organized." With a trembling voice one of them explained. "We have lost some of our people, sir. Also some of the equipment."
Paul nodded in silence.
"Probably after the explosion the rebels from the area went to Banapur. It's probably why there were so many of them.." Added a second man lowering his head. "But I've also heard about some convoy with weapons."
Paul inhaled the smoke from a cigarette which he was smoking slowly.
"You want to tell me that you were beaten by a fucking handful of rebels?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, sir." Said one of the soldiers.
"Sir, I need to add that among the rebels were a young woman. She almost managed to take few our people down. Headhunter will deliver her to you soon."
"Young woman?" Paul snorted.
Both men nodded their heads in silence.
"Do you hear yourself, for fuck's sake! A fucking bitch dared to attack our high-ranking soldier and, the fuck, you could not effectively deal with her?!" De Pleur shouted in a loud voice.
Soldier looked at each other.
Paul raised his hand and waved casually.
There were two shots at the same time. The two soldiers, who just recounted past events, fell dead on the floor.
"Clean up this carcass." Paul barked loudly to one of his men.
He got up from his chair and went briskly toward the stairs leading to a higher floor of the building.
He walked quickly through the long corridors and three pairs of stairs to finally reach his office. Instinctively he stubbed out his cigarette in the gold ashtray.
"We will see, who the fuck you are.." He mumbled under his breath.
You slowly opened your eyes.
You were sitting on a chair in front of a large, wooden desk.
You didn't remember how did you get there.
The last thing in your mind was how you were pushed onto backseat of the Royal Army's jeep.
You wanted to get up but once you realized that your hands are tied behind the back of the chair, you stopped struggling to save the energy.
Suddenly, to the room entered one of the Royal Army soldiers and without a word he untied your hands.
Before you could get up, the man left the room closing the door behind.
"What the hell ..." You murmured in disbelief.
You looked briefly around the room.
It was a big office. On one wall there was a bookshelf. On the floor a red persian carpet was laying down. Opposite the door was a big, marble fireplace where the fire crackled.
You went to the big window and leaning above the windowsill, you looked through it.
You saw a large courtyard, and a bit further a huge, high wall and two guard towers in the corners of the square.
You immediately recognized the place.
"Varshakot..." You whispered.
"Yes, Varshakot." Confirmed the strong, masculine voice that reverberated behind your back.
You froze motionless, holding breath back. Before you turned around, you improved your shirt.
Then, slowly, you turned in the direction, from which you heard a man's voice.
Before you was standing Paul De Pleur Harmon.
You quickly scanned him with your eyes and you had to admit that he looked elegant.
He was wearing a simple, tailored, dark jeans with leather, black belt, matt black shirt with gold buttons recessed in the pants and the whole outfit was finished with black, leather shoes.
"De Pleur.." You whispered.
"Y\N. So YOU have attacked my commanding officer." Paul lifted the corners of his mouth in a haughty smile. "I could have guessed."
You slowly took a step toward him.
"I had no other choice." You pouted.
"Probably." Paul raised his eyebrows and walked over to you. "Listen, I have a proposition for you."
You looked him defiantly in the eye.
"What kind of proposition?"
"Join the Royal Army and Pagan." He said circling around you. "You will gain on this. You will be untouchable, rich, you will be one of the most important people in this country." He said articulating exactly his every word. "We do need people like you. Tenacious, courageous and ready to sacrifice."
You were silent for a moment.
"What if I will say no?" You asked looking straight ahead.
De Pleur, who was standing behind you, has leant toward you and whispered directly into your ear:
"Then I'll have to kill you, and it would be a huge loss. Such beautiful, young girl, who has a whole life ahead of herself." He continued gently brushing your hair away from your shoulder. "And even if I would decide to spare you, I certainly would kill Sabal. Trade tied." Paul brushed his lips against your neck.
You twitched.
"Stop it." You said firmly.
The man clucked.
"Tone, dear." Paul said putting his hands on your hips.
Within blink of an eye you turned to him, slapping his cheek strongly.
"Take these fucking hands away of me!" you growled.
De Pleur smirked and hit you with hand clenched in a fist, in result of which you fell on the floor.
You put hand to your jaw looking up at him in disbelief. You didn't know what were you expecting from this dude.
"You won't break me. No one will. Even if I'll die, there are others and they'll continue what I've started." You spitted a blood clot aside still with your eyes on him. "And one day your fucking Army will bow to us. To people of Kyrat!"
Paul De Pleur laughed shortly shaking his head.
"You still believe in this shit? You're pathetic. Khan!"
The door has been opened and tall man entered the room bowing head down to Paul.
"Take this piece of a shit out of my fortress. Transport her to the North, to mines. I'll let Yuma know about it."
Khan nodded smirking awfully.
"With a pleasure, De Pleur."
He made a huge step toward you and grabbed you by your elbow. He pulled you up, then dragged you out of the room.
It didn't help at all that you were struggling. The man was much stronger.
"It'll be a nice ride, slut." He smirked as he pushed you into an old jeep parked on the courtyard.
The last thing you saw before getting in was Paul De Pleur looking down at you through his window.
