I’m only 11 minutes into Descendants: The Rise of Red, and it’s already so cringey. 😰

also dove cameron is a blessing
okay so imagine the core four just after they get off the isle and mal sees ben and audrey together all the time so she asks him what’s going on and ben explains that they’re dating and mal’s like What Is That and he says it’s when you care deeply about another person and are always thinking about them and want the best for them and always want to be with them and mal is like, oh that’s evie and i, and then she just assumes they’re dating and that evie knows because she’s a smart girl and never says anything about it
and then ben breaks up with audrey and asks mal out during the tourney match and mal is all confused and is like Ben I Am Already In A Relationship and he’s like o shit sorry everyone is like what the fuk and evie is all wHO and mal just turns to her with the most puzzled look on her face and goes … you?
and that’s how they actually start dating
(but according to mal, they’ve always been dating)
Don’t know if anyone else has picked up on this one, but I found another instance of doing things in 3s from the Descendants movies.
In the final song of all 3 films, Ben lifts Mal.
He does it in Set It Off, You And Me, and Break This Down.

I'm rewatching descendants 2 because it still goes hard and like Mal and Ben are so shit compared to essentially any other pairing
