Hello everyone, this is my first ballad of songbirds and snakes fanfic. It's an au, in which Lucy Gray's harvest song is uploaded to a Spotify-like platform and becomes a rage, to the point where Coriolanus is forced to bring it to the Capitol. I hope you like it, it is in Spanish my language.
AU where Coriolanus forces Lucy Gray to return to the Capitol and at a party, makes her wear this dress.
I saw this dress on Instagram, and my brain immediately thought of Lucy Gray Baird in it. Honestly, Sugar daddy Coriolanus Snow would love to choose for her songbird the best silk, velvet, satin and brocade dresses the Capitol could offer.
Yes I also think that initially Coriolanus would like the simple dress but then he would complain that it is not worthy of the future LADY SNOW, and would force Tigris to design another one. Tigris would try to balance the personal tastes of Lucy Gray and her demanding little cousin, she would design a fairy tale wedding dress, a somewhat tight bodice (LG has a nice figure), a very wide skirt and a very long train. In addition to showing off her wealth, it would allow her to decorate with many details, such as white roses that symbolize that Lucy Gray belongs to the Snow family, ruffles (Almost all of Lucy Gray's dresses in the book have ruffles) and since Tigris is Cinna, she would put stones beautiful that shine in all the shades of the rainbow in the light. Lucy Gray would also wear a very long veil made of lace.
How do you imagine Lucy Gray's wedding dress? Rachel Zegler showed us a dress that Lucy Gray would wear at her wedding to Coryo, although I think so too, I don't think Coriolanus would consider it appropriate for the wedding of the president of Panem. I imagine that he ordered Tigris to design the most extravagant wedding dress (but without being vulgar, remember they are Old Money) of all, to rub in the guests' faces that the Snow house is on top. But I'm interested in your opinion.

i think cs would approve lg's wedding dress based on how jealous he feels about other ppl salivating at her in it n less about what's appropriate? if that makes sense 💀. i think there's a part of him that would love to show her off bc she's like his trophy, he won the games n the girl. two wolves inside him, look at her but also, don't look at her LMAO.
as for the dress rz showed, i think he wouldn't consider it just bc it doesn't scream SNOW enough. he would ofc request from tigris bc who else is good enough to design a wedding dress for a future snow except for a snow herself. tigris would prob last limit add a touch of lg to the dress. a rainbow shimmer in the skirt to refer to lg's original dress, maybe to remind lg that her mother is with her bc she can tell lg is miserable abt this union lmao. she's kinda like cinna to lg imo. I'm thinking of the rainbow sheen I put on lg's dress from the cslg family portrait.
Can someone PLS write a fic about this and then tag me immediately?
If Coryo did the whole “marry Livia but keep Lucy Gray as a mistress/hostage” and ended up having kids with both of them, I feel like he’d end up showing obvious favoritism to his kids with Lucy for several reasons. His “legitimate” kids would need him either way and probably end up vying for his attention/affection/approval. Meanwhile he’d have to fight to be the favorite parent with Lucy Gray since she’d be super active and present with them and he has a relentless competitive streak. Not to mention his kids with LG would be a result of his “love” for her and his with Livia would be out of obligation and insurance.
Rewatching tbosas (because my mother wanted to) and like. What the hell did I find on Coriolanus Snow in the first place. This guy is a hot moving red flag.

Obviously he would put up with your complaints during your exam sessions, he would try to make you calm down by cuddling you, kissing you and enganging in other physical activities. He would encourage you and tell you not to stress too much because you are so intelligent.
Unfortunately you have completely crazy schedule and there are days when you don't see each other at home and this makes Tom feel bad making him even more stressed for all the hours he has to work and as soon as he meets you at home he won't waste time picking you up, take you to your room and catch up on the time you were apart.
He would ask you to accompany him to movie premiers and obviously you would go, proud to be at the side of a handsome and talented man like him 🌹
(It's the first time i've written something and forgive me for any mistakes but English is not my first language. Since i'm close to exams, next week I'Il have two, i thought i'd write this showrt imagine and i just want to cry because i would really like a Tom who can put up with me in this exam session😭💐)
Jealousy:
• you and coryo have been engaged for a few months, you are in the same year at the academy, you attend the same lessons and always do your homework together.
• you usually go to the academy together but this time you told him you woukd join him later. Coryo isn't worried enough until he sees you arrive with another guy.
• as soon as he sees you laughing with him, pressing a hand on his shoulder, he completely loses his mind and without thinking twice he marches towards you.
• surrounds your waist with an iron grip without the possibility of breaking away and taking you by surprise. "What are we talking about?" He asks with a slightly tight smile. His voice is laced with fake interest, smiling at you with burning eyes before shooting murderous glares at the boy.
• "nothing intetesting" you say happy to see Coryo but a little worried about his mood. He nods, approaches you, pressing a possessive kiss on your lips and then takes your hand. "Well, shall we go to class then?" Without waiting for your response he makes you move away from the boy, giving him another murderous look, a silent warning to never get close to you again.
• eventually you find yourself alone with him in an empty bathroom, he wastes no time before pushing you against the wall and grabbing your neck. "Who the fuck was that guy?" He asks you in a threatening voice. "Give me a reason not to cut out his tongue".
• he would be furious, but he knows that yoh would never choose another boy over him but he needs to hear it.
• "you are my princess" he says, loosening his gruppo and then kissing you passionately.

.•◇° I feel like this, right here, was such a highlight moment for Coriolanus. For both him as a person and in his relationship with Lucy Gray. In this moment, he put aside his needs for hers. He really empathized with her.
That's what I love about this book though. He isn't all villain. It takes time for him to get there. He makes a few decent choices, like he does here. In small ways. Not all of his thoughts were self-centered or manipulative. He really was capable of becoming someone different. Someone better. •◇°.

This song is giving me some major Coriolanus Snow and Lucy Gray feels. Their relationship...it's such a stroke of genius how complex it is.

Listening to this just has me wishing so desperately that their ending had been happier. I'm imagining them going through with their plan to run away together. Imagining Snow choosing her over his ambition. They're so beautifully tragic.

Reading through the first book again, and came across an interesting parallel to Ballad...
After Peeta "betrays" Katniss' trust and teams up with the Careers, she considers him an enemy who will try to kill her. I imagined Snow watching this and comparing it to his own situation in the woods with Lucy Gray.
He betrayed her trust with the lie he told and she determined he was an enemy whom she then had to flee from.
And (from his perspective) she intended to kill him with the snake bite in nearly the same way Katniss intended to kill Peeta with the hive of Tracker Jackers.
But where this inspired vengeance in Snow and made him fully turn against Lucy Gray, Peeta's determination to keep Katniss alive doesn't change. It doesn't change his feelings for her at all.
I sort of just love imagining Snow's reaction to that and how, even from the beginning, these two seem to defy his expectations.

Wrote a new fanfic for these two! Wanted to write a sequel story that goes into Snow's continued rise to power and about what might've happened if he'd run into Lucy Gray again :) I'm aiming for it to be a redemptive fic.

Set almost three years after the events of TBOSAS, Coriolanus Snow has risen in influence, with soaring grades and a position that puts him in line to be the next Head Gamemaker. All of his plans have set him on a sure path to success, but a new project of Dr. Gaul's has him unexpectedly facing his past, his path once again crossing with Lucy Gray.
Now Coriolanus is caught between the fear that Lucy Gray is a threat, and the feelings she starts to stir in him again.
