What if I hurt you
Clarisse La Rue x Reader
Clarisse loves y/n, more thant anything, which is why one day when she almost gets hurt, clarisse knows that she might not be best for y/n
✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿✿❀✿❀
Y/n had never been one to attract much attention. She was the kind of person who liked to blend into the background, not causing too much fuss. That’s part of why she loved Clarisse La Rue so much; the daughter of Ares was the complete opposite. Bold, brash, and fiercely protective, Clarisse made Y/n feel like she could conquer anything, even if Y/n preferred to do so quietly. Their relationship had blossomed over the past year, surprising both of them with how deeply they had come to care for each other.
But lately, things hadn’t been so perfect. Y/n was being harassed by a guy named Trey, a son of Hermes who had been relentless in his pursuit of her. It had started off innocently enough, just a few flirtatious comments here and there. Y/n had brushed them off, not wanting to make a big deal out of it. She figured Trey would lose interest eventually, especially if she didn’t encourage him.
But she was wrong.
It began with small things, like Trey showing up wherever Y/n happened to be. At first, it was just a coincidence—he’d be at the training grounds when she was practicing archery, or at the dining pavilion when she was grabbing a quick bite. But soon it became clear that Trey was intentionally seeking her out. He’d “accidentally” bump into her and make some remark about how fate was bringing them together. Y/n would laugh it off, trying to stay polite, but inside she was growing more uncomfortable by the day.
One day, Y/n was in the library, enjoying the quiet solitude that allowed her to immerse herself in a book. But just as she was getting lost in the pages, Trey appeared at her table, sliding into the chair across from her with a wide grin.
“Hey, Y/n,” he said, leaning in a little too close. “What are you reading? Something romantic, I bet.”
Y/n suppressed a sigh, keeping her voice even. “Just a history book. You know, nothing special.”
“Oh, I bet you’d like something more exciting,” Trey replied, winking at her. “Maybe I could take you out sometime? Show you a real good time.”
Y/n’s stomach twisted with discomfort, but she forced a polite smile. “Thanks, Trey, but I’m not interested. I’m with Clarisse, remember?”
Trey’s smile didn’t waver. “Yeah, I know. But come on, you can do better than her. I mean, you’re so sweet and gentle, and she’s… well, you know. Rough around the edges.”
Y/n’s polite façade cracked a little, her voice sharpening. “Clarisse is amazing, and I’m very happy with her. Please stop.”
But Trey didn’t stop. He showed up at her cabin, offering to “walk her to dinner.” He’d corner her after training, complimenting her on how she was “way too cute” for someone like Clarisse. Y/n tried everything—ignoring him, being direct, even getting other campers to tell him to back off. Nothing worked. And through it all, Y/n didn’t tell Clarisse.
Why didn’t she? Part of it was pride—Y/n didn’t want to seem weak, like she couldn’t handle things on her own. But a bigger part of it was fear. She knew how Clarisse could be, especially when someone threatened someone she loved. Clarisse’s temper was legendary, and Y/n didn’t want to see her girlfriend get into trouble because of some jerk who didn’t know how to take a hint.
But it all came to a head one afternoon when Y/n and Clarisse were hanging out by the lake. It was a rare moment of peace for them—Clarisse was always so busy with her duties as a senior camper, and Y/n cherished the times when they could just be together. They sat on a blanket, Clarisse’s arm slung casually around Y/n’s shoulders as they watched the sun glitter on the water.
“This is nice,” Y/n murmured, leaning into Clarisse’s side. “I wish we could do this more often.”
“Me too,” Clarisse agreed, her voice softer than usual. “It’s just—”
Before Clarisse could finish her sentence, one of the Ares campers came jogging over, looking a little frantic. “Clarisse! Wylan won’t give me my sword back, tell him he has to. It’s my lucky one!”
Clarisse groaned, clearly irritated at being interrupted, but she was duty-bound. She kissed Y/n’s temple. “I’ll be right back, babe. Don’t move a muscle, okay?”
Y/n smiled, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’ll be here.”
As Clarisse jogged off, Y/n sighed and pulled out her book, trying to enjoy the peace and quiet. But of course, it didn’t last long.
“Hey, Y/n!” Trey’s voice cut through the serene atmosphere like a knife. Y/n looked up, her heart sinking as she saw him striding towards her, that same smirk plastered on his face.
“Trey,” she said, her voice resigned. “Please, not now.”
“Aw, come on,” Trey replied, plopping down on the blanket beside her without an invitation. “You always say that. Why not now? It’s a beautiful day, and I’m here with a beautiful girl.”
Y/n scooted away from him, feeling her patience wearing dangerously thin. “Trey, I’m serious. You need to stop this. I’m with Clarisse, and I’m not interested in you.”
Trey leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, sleazy whisper. “But why not, Y/n? I could treat you so much better than she does. She’s all about fighting and yelling, but me? I’d be gentle. I’d take care of you.” His hand travels upwards, starting to play with her hair.
Y/n’s heart raced with a mix of fear and anger. Pushing his hands off and scotting back further, she opened her mouth to tell him off, to really let him have it this time, but before she could get a word out, a voice boomed from behind them.
“WHAT IN THE HADES IS GOING ON HERE?”
Y/n whipped her head around to see Clarisse standing a few feet away, her eyes blazing with fury. She had returned much faster than Y/n expected, and the look on her face sent a chill down Y/n’s spine.
“Clarisse,” Y/n started, but she didn’t get far.
Clarisse marched over, her fists clenched. “Trey, what the hell are you doing?”
Trey had the nerve to grin, though there was a flicker of fear in his eyes. “Just talking to Y/n, that’s all.”
Clarisse’s expression darkened, and she stepped closer, looming over Trey. “Talking to her? It sure as hell looked like you were harassing her.”
“Harassing? Come on, Clarisse, don’t be so dramatic,” Trey said, trying to play it off. “I was just—”
“Shut up,” Clarisse snarled. “You think I didn’t hear what you just said? You think Y/n would be better off with you?” She grabbed Trey by the front of his shirt, yanking him to his feet. “She’s with me. And if you ever try to get between us again, I’ll make sure you regret it.”
Trey’s bravado finally cracked. “Whoa, hey, Clarisse, chill. I didn’t mean any harm—”
“Didn’t mean any harm?” Clarisse interrupted, her voice dangerously low. “You’ve been following her around, making her uncomfortable, and you think I’m just going to let that slide?”
“Clarisse,” Y/n said softly, reaching out to touch her arm. “It’s okay, I can handle it.”
But Clarisse was beyond reasoning. She shoved Trey back, causing him to stumble. “You don't lay a finger on her. Not now, not ever.”
Trey, clearly not as smart as he thought he was, decided to push back. “Maybe Y/n doesn’t want to be with someone like you. Maybe she needs someone who’s not so… rough.”
That did it. Clarisse’s fist connected with Trey’s jaw before Y/n could even blink. Trey yelped in pain, staggering backward, but Clarisse didn’t stop. She grabbed him by the collar, ready to hit him again.
“Clarisse, stop!” Y/n cried, trying to pull her back. “Please, stop!”
But Clarisse was lost in her rage. Her fist swung again, this time landing squarely on Trey’s gut, knocking the wind out of him. Trey crumpled to the ground, gasping for air, but Clarisse wasn’t done. She raised her fist again, but before she could strike, Y/n stepped in, grabbing her arm.
“Clarisse, stop! You’re going to kill him!”
Clarisse froze, her fist still poised in the air. Moving to hit again, she turned to look at Y/n, her eyes wild with anger. But when she saw the fear in Y/n’s eyes, something inside her snapped back to reality. She lowered her fist, breathing heavily, and Trey took the opportunity to scramble to his feet, clutching his stomach.
“You’re crazy!” Trey spat, backing away. “This isn’t over, La Rue.”
“Get out of here before I finish what I started,” Clarisse growled, but her voice lacked the same venom as before.
Trey didn’t need to be told twice. He turned and ran, disappearing into the trees. For a moment, there was only the sound of Clarisse’s heavy breathing and Y/n’s pounding heart.
Then, Clarisse turned to Y/n, her face paling as she realized what had just happened. “Y/n, I—”
But before she could finish, Y/n wrapped her arms around her, burying her face in Clarisse’s chest. “I was so scared,” Y/n whispered, her voice trembling.
Clarisse’s arms went around her automatically, but there was a stiffness to her embrace, a hesitation that Y/n hadn’t felt before. “I’m sorry,” Clarisse said, her voice thick with guilt. “I should’ve— I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Y/n shook her head, clinging to Clarisse. “I don’t care about that. I just didn’t want you to get hurt.”
Clarisse pulled back slightly, looking down at Y/n with pained eyes. “But I did hurt you, didn’t I? Not physically, but… Y/n, I’m so sorry.”
Y/n looked up at her, confused. “What are you talking about? You didn’t hurt me.”
Clarisse’s gaze dropped to the ground. “I almost lost control, Y/n. I could’ve hurt you by accident. I could’ve—”
“But you didn’t,” Y/n interrupted, tightening her grip on Clarisse. “You stopped. And even if you hadn’t, I know you would never hurt me on purpose.”
Clarisse’s hands trembled as she cupped Y/n’s face. “I never want to hurt you. Ever. But… but what if I do? What if I can’t control it next time?”
“There won’t be a next time,” Y/n said firmly. “You’re not a monster, Clarisse. You’re my hero. You protected me.”
Clarisse shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes. “I don’t deserve you.”
“Yes, you do,” Y/n insisted, standing on her tiptoes to press a kiss to Clarisse’s lips. “I love you, Clarisse. All of you. Even the parts that scare you.”
Clarisse’s breath hitched, and she kissed Y/n back, a desperate, tender kiss that spoke of all the fear and love tangled inside her. When they finally pulled apart, Clarisse rested her forehead against Y/n’s. “I love you too. So much.”
They stood there for a long time, holding each other as the sun set behind them. Eventually, Clarisse pulled away, her eyes still haunted by what had happened. “I think… I think I need some time alone.”
Y/n’s heart sank, but she nodded. “Okay. But promise me you’ll come back?”
Clarisse managed a small, sad smile. “I promise.”
As Clarisse walked away, Y/n watched her go, a knot of worry tightening in her chest. She knew Clarisse was struggling with her anger, with the fear that she might one day lose control. But Y/n also knew that their love was stronger than any fear.
For the next few days, Clarisse avoided Y/n. She threw herself into training, into her duties, into anything that kept her away from the person she loved most. Y/n tried to reach out, but Clarisse always found an excuse to keep her distance. It was agonizing, but Y/n refused to give up. She knew that Clarisse was trying to protect her, but what Clarisse didn’t realize was that by pulling away, she was hurting Y/n even more.
Finally, after almost a week of silence, Y/n decided she’d had enough. She marched over to the Ares cabin, ignoring the wary looks from the other campers, and knocked on the door.
Clarisse opened it, and the moment she saw Y/n standing there, she looked like she might close it again. But Y/n quickly stepped inside, blocking her from shutting the door.
“Clarisse, we need to talk,” Y/n said, her voice firm.
Clarisse sighed, running a hand through her messy hair. “Y/n, I—”
“No,” Y/n interrupted, her eyes flashing with determination. “You don’t get to push me away like this. I know you’re scared, but you don’t have to be. I’m not going anywhere.”
Clarisse looked at her, the walls she’d built around herself starting to crumble. “But what if I hurt you?”
“You won’t,” Y/n said, taking Clarisse’s hands in hers. “And even if you did, I’d still love you. You’re not your dad, Clarisse. You’re not Ares. You’re you, and that’s who I fell in love with.”
Clarisse’s shoulders slumped, and she pulled Y/n into a tight embrace, burying her face in Y/n’s hair. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “I’m so sorry for everything.”
Y/n hugged her back just as tightly. “It’s okay. We’ll get through this together.”
Clarisse nodded, holding Y/n like she was afraid to let go. And in that moment, Y/n knew that they were going to be okay. Their love was strong enough to withstand anything, even the darkest parts of themselves.
And from that day forward, Clarisse vowed to never let her fear drive a wedge between them again. She worked on her anger, on her need to protect Y/n without pushing her away. It wasn’t easy, but Y/n was always there, her unwavering support giving Clarisse the strength to keep going.
Together, they were unstoppable.

Y/N had always thought she was straight. Boys had always been her thing—crushes on cute classmates, daydreaming about first dates, and obsessing over the latest teen heartthrob. It was simple, easy, and something she never questioned. But lately, things had started to feel... different. The difference was Clarisse, her best friend. They had been inseparable for as long as she could remember, always laughing, always in sync. But now, something had shifted.
Run me in circles
Clarisse was running her in circles, playing with her emotions in a way that Y/N couldn’t quite grasp.
Like you always do
Y/N found herself clinging to every word, every look, every moment with Clarisse, even though it made her feel like she was losing her grip on reality.
Mess with me on purpose
She would tease Y/N, flirt with her in that subtle, almost unnoticeable way that left Y/N feeling dizzy and confused. It wasn’t like the harmless jokes they used to share. There was something else in Clarisse’s eyes now, something that made Y/N’s heart race, even though she didn’t want it to.
So I'll hang onto you
Why keep me around if this is just a game? Y/N wondered.
I know what you mean when you act like that
She knew Clarisse’s history with girls, the way she would effortlessly draw them in, only to let them go when she got bored.
You don't know it's breaking my heart
But this was different—this was her best friend.
Said that it was just never gonna happen
Then almost kissed me in the dark
Y/N could pinpoint the exact moment everything changed between them. It was one of those nights when they were alone together, the kind that used to be so easy and comfortable. But this time was different. The room was dim, the atmosphere charged with something unspoken. They were sitting close, closer than usual, and Y/N could feel the heat radiating off Clarisse’s skin.
They had been laughing about something silly when suddenly, the laughter faded, and the mood shifted. Clarisse had leaned in, her face inches from Y/N’s, and for a moment, it felt like time stopped.
Y/N remembered the way her heart pounded in her chest, the way her breath hitched as Clarisse’s lips hovered so close to hers. It was just a moment—a fleeting, almost kiss in the dark—but it had left Y/N reeling. Did it mean anything to Clarisse? Because it meant something to her, and that terrified her.
Every time we talk, it just hurts so bad
Since then, every time they talked, it just hurt so bad. The easy, carefree conversations they used to have were now replaced with awkward silences and unspoken tension.
'Cause I don't even know what we are
I don't even know where to start
What were they now? Were they even still friends, or had everything changed without Y/N realizing it? She didn’t know where to start, didn’t know how to bring it up, so she just played the part.
But I can play the part
She pretended that everything was fine, that it meant nothing, even though it was tearing her apart inside.
We say we're friends, but I'm catching you across the room
They still called themselves best friends, but Y/N caught Clarisse looking at her across the room in a way that friends shouldn’t. Or maybe it was her—maybe it was the way she was looking at Clarisse that wasn’t how friends should. Y/N felt something shift inside her, a longing she didn’t want to acknowledge, but couldn’t ignore.
It makes no sense, 'cause we're fighting over what we do
It made no sense. They were always fighting lately, snapping at each other over stupid things, like how Y/N was spending too much time with other people, or how Clarisse was being too distant.
And there's no way that I'll end up being with you
It wasn’t like them to argue, but the fights always ended with the same thought running through Y/N’s mind: There’s no way that I’ll end up being with you.
But friends don't look at friends that way
But if that was true, why did it hurt so much? Why did it feel like she was losing something every time they argued? Friends don’t look at friends that way, Y/N thought, but she couldn’t stop herself.
Friends don't look at friends that way
She couldn’t stop wondering if maybe—just maybe—there was something more between them.
Can't even tell if I love or hate you more
Y/N had always thought she had it all figured out. She was the kind of girl who had her eyes set on boys—crushes, dates, and the occasional heartbreak. It was a pattern she was used to, a routine she could rely on. But lately, her feelings had been anything but reliable. Clarisse, had been turning her world upside down, and Y/N couldn’t tell if she loved or hated her for it.
You've got me addicted
Clarisse had always been flirtatious, especially with girls, and Y/N knew her friend’s history well.
And I can't tell who's keeping score
I know what you mean when you act like that
She knew how Clarisse could draw someone in with a glance, how she could make anyone feel special, only to leave them behind when her interest waned.
You don't know it's breaking my heart
It was something Y/N had seen countless times, but it had never been directed at her—until now. Now, Clarisse was flirting with her, teasing her in ways that left Y/N feeling breathless and confused. It was like she was addicted, unable to stop thinking about Clarisse, even though it was driving her crazy.
Said that it was just never gonna happen
Then almost kissed me in the dark
But that night that we almost kissed one night, or i thought it was an almost kiss, did it mean anything to you? I think i meant something to me
Clarisse had leaned in, her face inches from Y/N’s, and for a split second, Y/N thought they were going to kiss. Her heart pounded in her chest, her breath catching in her throat. But just as quickly, Clarisse pulled back, leaving Y/N reeling, unsure if the moment had even been real.
Did it mean anything to Clarisse? Y/N kept asking herself that question, over and over. To her, it had meant everything. It had opened up a flood of feelings she didn’t know how to handle. Every time they talked after that, it hurt. The easy conversations they used to have were gone, replaced by awkward silences and painful reminders of what had almost happened.
Every time we talk, it just hurts so bad
Y/N didn’t know how to talk to Clarisse anymore. They used to be able to talk about anything, but now every word felt heavy, loaded with unspoken emotions.
'Cause I don't even know what we are
Were they still friends? It didn’t feel like it. Something had shifted, and Y/N didn’t know how to fix it. She wanted to ask Clarisse what they were, what they had become, but she didn’t even know where to start.
I don't even know where to start
But I can play the part
Instead, she played the part. She pretended that everything was fine, that she wasn’t falling apart inside. She told herself that the almost-kiss didn’t mean anything, that she was still the same girl who liked boys and nothing more. But it was getting harder and harder to believe that lie.
We say we're friends, but I'm catching you across the room
Whenever they were in a room together, Y/N found herself catching Clarisse’s eyes across the room. There was something in the way Clarisse looked at her, something Y/N couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t the look of a friend, but it wasn’t something she could easily define either. It made her heart race and her mind spin. It made her question everything she thought she knew about herself.
She started noticing things she had never noticed before—the way Clarisse would watch her when she was talking to a guy, the way her expression would darken just slightly, like she was judging Y/N for being with someone else. It didn’t make any sense. Why would Clarisse care? They were best friends, nothing more. But then why did it feel like there was something more lurking beneath the surface?
It makes no sense, 'cause we're fighting over what we do
They started fighting more often, over stupid things that never used to matter. Clarisse would get annoyed when Y/N mentioned going out with a guy, and Y/N would snap back, confused and frustrated by the mixed signals she was getting. It wasn’t like them to fight, and it scared Y/N how easily their friendship seemed to be unraveling.
And there's no way that I'll end up being with you
But every time they fought, that same thought crept into Y/N’s mind: There’s no way that I’ll end up being with you. It was a truth she clung to, even though it hurt. They were never going to be together, so why did it feel like her heart was breaking every time they argued?
But friends don't look at friends that way
Friends don't look at friends that way
Friends don't look at friends that way
Friends don't look at friends that way
Friends don’t look at friends that way, Y/N reminded herself. But the way Clarisse looked at her, and the way Y/N found herself looking back, wasn’t the way friends were supposed to look at each other.
Mm-mm, ayy
We say we're friends, but I'm catching you across the room
Whenever i'm with i guy, i feel you looking at me, judging me, like i shouldn't be with him.
It makes no sense, 'cause we're fighting over what we do
It made no sense. They were always fighting lately, snapping at each other over stupid things, like how Y/N was spending too much time with other people, or how Clarisse was being too distant.
And there's no way that I'll end up being with you
The same thought kept repeating through Y/N’s mind: There’s no way that I’ll end up being with you.
But friends don't look at friends that way
But if that was true, why did it hurt so much? Why did it feel like she was losing something every time they argued? Friends don’t look at friends that way, Y/N thought, but she couldn’t stop herself.
Friends don't look at friends that way
So are we not friends? Could we ever be something more?

One day, it all became too much. They were hanging out at Y/N’s cabin, the first time in a while it had been just them. Clarisse had been going over to capture the flag techniques and only trusted Y/n to help, but the tension between them was suffocating. Y/N couldn’t focus on the plans; all she could think about was Clarisse sitting next to her, close enough to touch, but feeling miles away. Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore.
“Clarisse,” Y/N said, her voice trembling with frustration. “Why are we doing this? Why are we pretending like everything’s okay when it’s not? Why do you keep messing with me?”
Clarisse looked at her, surprised by the outburst, but she didn’t say anything. Y/N took a deep breath and continued. “You flirt with me, you ignore me whenever I go out with guys, and then you act like nothing happen. I can’t keep doing this. I don’t even know if we’re still friends.”
Clarisse’s eyes softened, and for the first time in weeks, Y/N saw the old Clarisse, the one she had always been able to talk to. “I’m sorry,” Clarisse said quietly. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just... I didn’t know how to tell you.”
“Tell me what?” Y/N asked, her heart pounding in her chest.
“That I- that.. you. Fuck it, Y/n, I like you,” Clarisse admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’ve liked you for a long time, but I didn’t want to ruin what we have. I thought you only liked boys, so I tried to keep it to myself. But seeing you, with a boy, knowing it should be me, I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to tell you, I’m sorry.”
Y/N felt her breath catch in her throat. “I thought I only liked boys too,” she whispered, the truth finally coming out. “But then you... Clarisse, you’ve been driving me crazy. I can’t stop thinking about you, and it’s scaring me because I don’t know what any of this means.”
Clarisse reached out, hesitating for a moment before taking Y/N’s hand. “Maybe we don’t have to figure it out right now,” she said softly. “Maybe we can just see where this goes.”
Y/N looked at her, really looked at her, and felt something inside her finally click into place. “I think I’d like that,” she said, a small smile tugging at her lips.
Clarisse smiled back, the tension between them melting away. She leaned in slowly, giving Y/N plenty of time to pull back if she wanted to. But Y/N didn’t pull back. This time, when Clarisse’s lips met hers, it wasn’t almost. It was real, and it was everything Y/N hadn’t known she needed.
When they finally pulled apart, Y/N felt lighter, the weight of confusion and doubt lifting off her shoulders. She looked into Clarisse’s eyes and saw nothing but warmth and honesty.
“Friends don’t look at friends that way,” Y/N said with a grin, echoing the words that had been haunting her for so long.
Clarisse laughed softly, her fingers still intertwined with Y/N’s. “No, they don’t,” she agreed. “But I don’t think we’re just friends anymore.”
Y/N smiled, leaning her head against Clarisse’s shoulder, finally at peace with where they were headed. “Yeah,” she whispered. “We’re something more.”
Dating Clarisse La Rue would include:
you’d be her top priority. she’d go to great lengths to keep you safe, expect her to step in and defend you without a second thought if she feels you’re being threatened or disrespected.
in public Clarisse comes across as tough and abrasive, but in private, she defo has a soft spot for you.
she might struggle to express her emotions with words, but her actions will speak volumes. she’ll show her affection through small gestures—like making sure you’re comfortable, sharing things she cares about, or simply being there when you need her.
forget the usual dinner-and-a-movie routine—dating Clarisse means going on adrenaline-pumping adventures. She’ll take you on hikes, sparring sessions, and quests that test your limits and bring you closer together
Clarisse values strength, and that doesn’t just mean physical power. She respects you for your own unique strengths, whether they’re in combat, intellect, or something else entirely.
even though she knows most people are scared of her, she’d expect you to stand your ground and not back down, even when she’s in one of her fiery moods. In return, she’ll respect your boundaries and opinions, even if she doesn’t always agree with them.
Clarisse might not be the most affectionate person, but she shows she cares in ways that are meaningful to her. she’ll remember small details, like your favorite weapon to use or how you like your armor polished. she’ll share her victories with you and might even let you in on her vulnerabilities, which she doesn’t show to just anyone.
training would be a big part of your relationship. Clarisse would love to train with you, not just because she enjoys a good fight, but because it’s one of the ways she connects with people. She’d push you to be your best, but she’d also be there to pick you up when you fall.
in rare, quiet moments, you’d get to see a side of Clarisse that she keeps hidden from most people. She might cuddle with you after a long day, offer you her jacket when it’s cold, or share a quiet conversation by the campfire. These moments are precious because they show how much she trusts you.
Clarisse would be incredibly proud of your achievements. Whether you win a battle, complete a difficult quest, or just have a personal victory, she’d be the first to acknowledge it, even if it’s in her own understated way. You might get a nod, a pat on the back, or a quiet “Well done,” but coming from her, it means the world.
Clarisse’s temper can be a challenge. She’s quick to anger, especially when she feels someone she cares about is being hurt. While she’s working on managing her anger, there will be times when it flares up. It’s important to understand that her anger isn’t directed at you, and with time, she’ll learn to communicate better.
despite the challenges, dating Clarisse would forge an incredibly strong bond between the two of you. she’d be your partner in every sense of the word—someone you can rely on, fight alongside, and share your victories and losses with. Once you’ve earned her love, it’s a love that will stand the test of time and any trials you might face together.
How each character from Percy Jackson might confess their love to you:
Percy Jackson
Percy would likely be straightforward but a bit nervous, possibly choosing a relaxed, meaningful setting to make it special.
“So, I’ve been thinking a lot lately... and I’ve realized that I really care about you. More than just as a friend. I want to be with you, if you’ll have me.”

APHRODITE’S BANE
Relationship:romantic
Pairing:Clarisse La Rue x fem!aphrodite!reader
Warnings:fighting,mentions of blood,reader getting injured,swearing pls tell me if I missed any<3
A/N-this is my first time writing, also this is just a fluff about Clarisse and you loving each other AND you are like the past Aphrodite the fighter and warrior that she truly is,not this soft weakling that people preseve she is just because she is the graceful goddess of love~(it is also 00:30am and this is heavily inspired by the song Salvatore by Lana)
Shocked. That’s what you would say you (and most of camp half-blood) were when you found out that your mother-Aphrodite-claimed you, especially in the middle of capture the flag! No it’s not because you’re not pretty-hell your one of the prettiest girls in chb,but because everyone was sure you would be claimed by ares or even Athena.
Everyone had no doubts to you being one of there children because you were strong, quick witted, intelligent and understanding you also had an undying loyalty towards the ones you loved, but after you were claimed people started to relate you to your mother more-or well who your mother used to be,Aphrodite Areia.
When you were unclaimed you would hang out with the ares kids and a few other people, but there was only(not even)a hand full of people you talked to in the Aphrodite cabin-them being piper, livia,Valentina and silena
I mean you were only claimed a few weeks after you arrived at camp half-blood that being in that years game of capture the flag..that’s also when you met her.Clarisse La Rue,honestly you didn’t really think of her to be all that before the incident, sure people told you to stear clear of her because she was a bully and would not hesitate to flush your head down a toilet, but you just saw her as a normal teenager who had anger issues.
You’ve only been at camp half-blood for 3 weeks and the date of capture the flag was today, everyone has been preparing and training extra hard for a few days now and you still haven’t even found out who your godly parent is yet,tho everyone’s already assumed who they are, ares or Athena, because your a natural for sword fighting and one on one combat or because you are wise and patient-most of the time.
You were placed on the blue team with the hermes cabin until your claimed same goes with the rest of the unclaimed kids,Chiron did his speach and then the red team let out this loud monstrous war cry that made you flinch,“um Luke,is that normal”you asked in a hushed voice to the black haired boy that was standing next to you “yep, they do it every year, don’t worry you’ll get used to it”he pated you on the shoulder biding you goodbye as the blue team departed.
Stumbling through the woods trying to get to your spot was..difficult to say the least let’s just say you got lost a few times, when you finally get there you lean back against a rock,it was smooth and rough at the same time, just right. You could feel the sun levitating off of your now warm skin, this was sure to give you a light tan.
‘Catch me if you can, working on my tan Salvatore’
You heard a twig snap behind you and you quickly jumped up and grabbed your sword, turning around to see no one,“hello?..”you said confused but keeping up your fighting stance “annabeth?..Luke?” You called out knowing annabeth was close by but Luke wasn’t you were just confused…that was until you got tackled to the floor by non other then..someone? it was a boy and he smelt vile but you had no time to think about that before you panicked and slashed your sword at the side of his amour and flipped him off of you before quickly getting up and taking a step back.
He lunged up and swung at you but you quickly dodged and bolted for the woods, running,in hopes he would head for the flag instead of following you,but he didn’t..it was strange he was going after you and not the flag, “ow!shit!” You cried out as you were tackled to the floor again this time with him stabbing at your amour.
You pushed yourself backwards and kicked him in the stomach sending him back a few meters, you jumped up again and so did he this time you lunged at him stabbing at his chest but he kicked your legs out from under you and pushed you back making you fall of a small ledge and land on the small, damp rocks of the beach.
‘Dying by the hand,of a foreign man,happily’
He jumped down on to you and held his sword to your neck,he was about to open his mouth to say something but you kicked him in the shin making him fall and his sword pierce your skin, not enough to properly injure you but just enough to draw blood,he yelled out as he hit the damp rocks “ah!you bitch!”you both got up again and started clashing your swords together “why the hell are you still trying to fight me!”you grunted out.
Before he could respond you heard yelling and both the blue and red team came running out the woods the blue team with the red flag, the person holding it was annabeth but she faltered for a few seconds seeing that you were is a fight.
Then you caught her eye,for the first time you both looked at each other and gods she was gorgeous.Clarisse La Rue.
But you got distracted.“HEY!”luke yelled out as the boy stabbed with full force at your chest.
‘Calling out my name in the summer rain, ciao, amore’
You huffed out a breath, gasping for air as you grabbed the end of his sword cutting your palm and two of your fingers but kept your grip on it strong, you raised your foot and kicked the boy in the stomach making him stumble and lose his grasp on the sword. You threw the sword into the water and just as he was about to punch you,you grabbed his fist and flipped over above him landing behind him (thank god for you being able to do gymnastics)
Just as annabeth got the red flag to the post you punched him in the back making him fall on his front and he stayed down..OH GOD YOU KNOCKED HIM OUT!!
You looked up panicked and everyone was staring looking shocked at yo-..wait why were they looking above you?You looked up and gasped,
“Wha-?”
Suddenly you were tackled into a hug by silena who was laughing “oh my god” you heard annabeth say, your gaze went from Silena to Annabeth to Clarisse..she was looking at you with a puzzled expression before saying the thing that everyone was thinking, “how the fuck are you a daughter of Aphrodite?”she said your eyes grew wide before you furrowed your brows “HEY!are you calling me ugly!?”you yelled out looking offended even tho you were thinking the same thing.
“Well no bu-!”Clarisse started before she was interrupted by Chiron “Aphrodite areia..you take after your mother’s original origins from being a warrior”he said with a kind smile on his face.
“Well that’s enough for today everyone go get some rest get fixed up and carry on with your day!”Chiron declared.
A/N:sorry that there was like no Clarisse x reader in this I promise there will be way more in my next one this one was just a tester btw😃
Inferno of love
Relationship:romantic💚
Pairing:Clarisse La Rue x fem!hades!reader
Warnings:swearing,kissing,established relationship,name calling,kinda a make out sesh?!NO SMUT!
A/N-this is after capture the flag wear clarisses spear breaks from Percy and Clarisse is raging and upset so she sends all her siblings out of her cabin And you come in and comfort her and it turns into a little more if you get what I mean😉No but they literally just make out and Clarisse calls you angel as a nickname bc I think it’s cute(this is also inspired by the song lay all your love on me by abba)
The blue team won.Again, you were glaring at a annabeth for snatching the flag from right out from under your noses but nothing could be done now, what’s done is done, your glaring was rudely interrupted by matty, clarisses half-brother,oh yea where was Clarisse?you were about to ask the boy who was huffing and coughing his lungs out from running to you before he started talking,
“H-uhh-hey!um Clarisse is throwing a tantrum ‘huff’ in ou-our cabin we need you to calm her down..”he said still huffing and taking breaks from talking every few seconds.
“Damn is she taking this years loss that bad..kinda thought she would be used to it by now,I mean it is the third year in a row”you said in a puzzled voice before matty spoke again, “what?no-well kinda-but no she’s fuming about her spear.”he said looking at you like it was obvious
“What about her spear?”you spoke up again in a more serious voice furrowing your brows.
Matty looked at you for a few seconds even tho it felt like centuries “wait you don’t know”he said his eyes widening, even tho it wasn’t a question, he stayed still like he was waiting for a answer, “Matty.”you said louder drawing a few looks from people around you “What.Happened.To.Clarisses.Spear.”you repeated.
“T-the new kid”he said and grabbed your arm and started leading you back to cabin 5..“oh gods”
“Oh gods”you repeated at the sound of Clarisse yelling at her siblings to get the fuck out..you weren’t even there yet!at the sound of her voice you subconsciously picked up your speed, you now dragging matty, forcing him to speed up to.
By the time you arrived at the ares kids cabin the last of them walking or more like sprinting out to avoid clarisses wrath most of them looking annoyed and muttering stuff about her not owning the cabin but to scared to say anything to her face, you knew that she’s been trying to get the blond twelve year old to admit his faults in lying about the Minotaur but Jesus getting this mad..I mean you get where shes coming from, the kids kids like a stick but then again..fear can make you strong.Like really strong.
Before you walked into the cabin you told matty to go with his siblings so he doesn’t get yelled at by Clarisse and he obeyed in pure fear from the last time Clarisse yelled at him for spilling juice on you(she also soaked his socks in juice to get back at him dispite your pleas)
You walked into the cabin with one goal in mind help Clarisse even if that means help her in different ways then intended..
You saw her siting on her bed on the second floor directly next to the window.
“Clarisse..you alright my love..”you said startling the girl making her head shot up and grab her now Broken spear.Once she realised it was you she relaxed a bit placing her wreaked spear down.
She huffed out a sigh before responding, not answering your question “hey angel..”she said motioning you towards her and you obliged walking towards her till you were standing between her legs, her spreading them wider so you could be closer to her.
She layed her head down on your chest wrapping her hands around your waist and pulling you against her further.
You kissed her forehead stroking her tight curls that were now tangled up in a hairband that she put it in for capture the flag.Your hands started to untangled her curls 1 by 1 lightly tugging her hair, while Clarisses hands went to your shoulders as she began lighting kissing your neck, her hands playing with the straps of your amour to loosen them.
You slowly removed the hair band out of her hair as to not hurt her as she took off your chest amour, she placed it next to her and moved her hands from your shoulders to your waist, pulling you to her as she leaned back on the bed, making you straddle her thighs and lean down towards her face.
‘Don’t go wasting your emotion, lay all your love on me’
Your hands went from her hair to her shoulders tugging at the straps of her armour but she spoke “uh uh,not today the snotty brats will be coming back soon angel”she said moving your hands back up to her hands“please..”you whined at her trying to convince her that you two could be quick and won’t be caught but she cut you off by kissing you on your lips sloppily.
You moaned as she slipped her tongue into your mouth and gave her roots little tugs making her groan out your name and pulling you Flush against her.
‘Don’t go sharing your devotion, lay all your love on me’
You broke apart for air and before you we’re about to kiss her again someone came running up the stairs and pushing the door open before you and Clarisse could push away from each other, being caught in a very awkward position, you straddling Clarisse with your hands in her hair and her hands placed on the plush of your hips.
And worse it was one of her younger half-siblings,the poor boy looked traumatised, running out the room when Clarisse threw a pillow at him yelling at him to get out and fuck off.
Safe to say you and Clarisse got into a lot of trouble, and got stuck on cleaning the stables for four months.
But it was worth it to be with your girl.
‘Cause everything is new and everything is you’
A/N:I actually had a lot of fun making this because I could imagine Clarisse yelling at her siblings like she owns the cabin and there just renting it😭anyways but my request are open btw so just request what you want and I’ll try to do it💚
A Devine Destiny
Relationship:romantic
Pairing:Clarisse La Rue x fem!Aphrodite!reader
A/N-hey so this is a part 2 to Aphrodite’s bane and this is set a few weeks later after the bathroom scene with Percy, this is a fluff aswell(this was kinda a request but they just asked for a part 2,and I really hope they see this x)
You were taking a night walk to calm yourself down from all the fuss of the new kid..at least that’s what you we’re telling yourself..,Percy Jackson, you were one of the unlucky ones that had to help him find out what he was good at,it did not go well,so now you we’re strolling around camp in your pj pants and sports bra with a small jacket on trying to relax until you saw her.
You and Clarisse have been…talking, kinda.I mean yea you two have been getting closer than before, but your not friends just.. aquanauts per say.Everyone knew something was there I mean there was for Aphrodite and ares aswell but everyone also knew not to bring it in front of you or her.
Anyways, why was she out so late? You wondered and why is she..soaked…?you enquired to yourself before she saw you “why are you out so late?”she said looking at you with a cocked eyebrow “i-i uh..why are you wet?”you said looking her up and down “none of your business.” Yea you guys are definitely not friends.
“Um ok..”you said looking down “you didn’t answer my question.”she said crossing her arms “you know we’re not supposed to be out this late”she said sternly glaring at you “your out to!” You said trying to defend yourself “that’s different, come on”she said and grabbed your arm “where are we going?”you said pulling away from her.
“I’m taking you back to your cabin”she said grabbing your upper arm and yanking you “NO!..please I don’t want to go back there..”you say gripping her forearm to stop her from pulling you “why?” She said her tone questioning but you stayed silent “have they been starting again?!”she yelled angrily, everyone knew that a few girls in the Aphrodite cabin have been starting on you for not being a copy and paste of them.
It started of as teasing, then it went to sly comments of how you acted like the comments a bitchy aunt would say at Christmas, then it went to hair pulling then to saying you don’t belong it the Aphrodite cabin and so on.
“No..yes”Clarisse let out a sigh and started dragging you in the other direction without saying a word, you stayed silent trying not to cry thinking about the cruel words the girls have been calling you
You arrived at cabin 5,ares cabin, her cabin, “w-why are we here..?”you said between small unnoticeable sniffles “why do you think, your staying here tonight”she said while pushing the ares cabin door open and dragging you in there was only a few people down stairs maybe 2 or 3
“Where is everyone..?”you asked Clarisse as she drug you up the stairs with her to avoid her half-brother matty and his knowing gaze on the two of you “I made them stay at training for capture the flag tomorrow” “oh yea I forgot about that..”
There was no one upstairs, just you and Clarisse you thought as she got some clothes out from her chest of draws, you were standing next to her bed looking around trying to make it not awkward,it wasn’t working.
“Take your jacket and shoes off and sit down”she said while eyeing you,you obeyed siting down and slipping your shoes off,she then chucked a dark red band t-shirt at your lap “there, put that on”she told you and went digging in her draws again, trying to find clothes for herself.
When she did she started talking and turned around before pausing “does it fit-…you know when I gave you the shirt and told you to put it on it wasn’t rhetorical, right?”you looked at her for a few seconds before gripping the hem off your jacket and rolling it between your finger tips, you went to speak before shuffling and slipping your hands under your jacket and slowly pulling it off all with Clarisse looking at you.
You pulled the shirt the right way round before slipping it over your head and pulling it over your chest and then all the way on,just in time to see Clarisse look away and move her still dripping hair over her shoulder before speaking “I’m gonna get in the shower and get changed you..”she started before pausing “..you stay here and do what you want,I’ll be like 10 minutes”she stated while walking to a oak door in the corner of the large room.
When Clarisse came out 10 minutes later, her hair still dripping going to do her hair care routine, you were half asleep on the edge of her bed eyes not shut but hooded snuggled up with one of her pillows, she sighed and started to do her curl routine until she heard you mumbling something incoherent until something very clear slipped out of your mouth,
“Your so pretty..”you said cuddling further into her pillow “i-uh..thank I guess” she said focusing back on her hair “your welcome clari..”she huffed out a sigh before starting to speak “what have they even been saying”she started finishing off her hair and walking over to you “what have who been saying..?”you said looking up at her “your half-siblings” she finished
“Oh..nothing much, just pushing me,saying I’m not supposed to be a child of Aphrodite and little sly comments…”you replied “who”she said sternly as you sat up “‘s okay it doesn’t matter” you said trying to avoid her gaze “who”she repeated “clordia,Chelsea and molly..”you said looking up at her tiredly,
She sighed and sat down next to you gently grabbing your shoulder and making you lay down with her “your tired,go to sleep”she said laying your head on her chest.
After she thought you were asleep she kissed you on the side of your mouth “goodnight”she whispered laying her head on top of yours,
Yea definitely not friends.
A/N:hey sorry this is kinda short but it is very fluffy and there so cute together remember to read Aphrodites bane before this but it’s ok on it’s own to also my requests are open wide for your surgestions have a great day/night and bye🤍
Curse!AU (angst warning?)
Hear me out y'all. Being a halfblood there could be a like 1% chance you could inherit a curse alr. Like imagine Aphrodite!reader.
1% chance of inheriting a curse where reader is very codependent and could become eternally devoted to someone no matter how they are treated.
Additional things for this curse. Their eyes pupils turn into hearts when around this person, a sign of the curse and as they spend time with the person it slowly changes the color of their entire eye to pink.
Any ideas for the other gods as a curse that their halfblood!reader can develop? Im all for good curses and bad curses.
Repost and reply plz! Ill edit and link your ideas to this post!
Demeter!child - anonymous
Apollo!child - anonymous
Athena!child - anonymous
For the curse au thing what about a Demeter!reader who the more they are hurt emotionally speaking the more vines grow on them with spikes that pierces through the skin that they can't remove
(I can't really explain it really well essentially the reader's vines that start to envelope their body is a reflection on their emotional state mostly anger, sadness, frustration, etc)
:0 THIS IS A AMAZING IDEA! Almost like the flowers disease but outside of your body and not flowers but vines and it's not reversible! I get what your saying yea! (Hanahaki disease)
This matches super well with the Cursed!Au
Summary: You and your ex best friend reconnect at a secret Demi-god party literally.
Summer ended months ago and so did you friendship with your best friend Clarisse.
Warning: sexting,bullying,underage drinking,kissing,jealousy,toxic.
Friends to enemies
“Now we’re up against
The wall and she’s
calling me baby”
You were at school and you could’ve sworn it was the hottest day of the season
Odessa got a notification on her phone ( you’ve been invited to camp half blood celebration)
You had one thought “Those people will call anything a celebration” You raised your eyebrow as you read more into it. You did wanna catch up with your friends to gossip and talk shit after not seeing them for so long. But you didn’t wanna see…her
Last summer
Clarisse had been acting fidgety the whole morning
She only spoke to you once but it seemed like she was being distant the whole week. She’s been on her phone constantly sending selfies to whoever being all secretive. I walked in on her sending someone a picture of her in a bra that I gifted her because it suits her better. She brushed off the topic just saying she was sexting a guy from her school and that I should drop the whole thing.
Weirdo.
You guys were at breakfast when she suddenly checked her watch looking straight at you looking guilty. “I’m gonna be right back, the food is passing right through me.” She said looking at our friend group.
“Do you want me to come wait with you?” I offered
“No, I’m fine go back to eating or something fatty.”
She always made jokes with the girl but this one seemed more personal because she didn’t laugh as she usually did after. I put my breadstick down and stared at her in disbelief as she walked away and out of the dining hall. “I wonder Who’s up her ass today,” I say but it’s inaudible to others. I moved my food away from me and sat there looking at my other friends. I’m fucking hungry and she ruined it.
Then I decided I’d had enough of her odd behavior and I was gonna tell her to fuck off. I looked over at my distracted friends who were watching some new boy named Percy, “Guys I’m gonna go catch up with Clarisse.” One of them spoke “Yeah sounds good” They were just distracted by him so I left.
Odessa walked out of I dining hall and looked around for Clarisse as she saw Clarisse about to enter the wooded area looking to see if anyone saw her Odessa hit behind a cabin. “Where is she going?”
Clarisse entered the woods looking sketchy as hell
I followed behind her closely as she looked paranoid she walked for 5 minutes and then suddenly stopped in an empty area I hid behind a bolder as she just stood there looking at her watch. I quickly got tired of being hidden so I wanted to just get up and talk to her but that’s when a familiar boy walks towards her. “That’s my fucking ex,” I whispered under my breath. Clarisse smiled at the boy “Took you long enough.” She walked towards him. Odessa wanted to scoff at this interaction but remained quiet. There was no way in hell her best friend would’ve snuck off to see her ex behind her back
They had been best friends since they were kids there’s no way in hell that Clarisse would do anything to disobey her friend's trust like that.
Then she watched as their lips connected.
“Oh” she whispered under her breath.
My Clarisse with Luke castellan . I hated them both.
Things escalated quickly when their camp shirts were thrown across the ground. If felt wrong to stay even if it was an act she felt was against her. Clarisse had her legs wrapped around Luke’s torso as they made out
“Tell me I’m better than her” Clarisse had told the boy to say. Luke smiles “You better than Odessa,” he says breathlessly
Odessa had had enough and snuck out of her spot and carefully walked towards their shirts taking them and crawling away from the area heading back towards the camp. The girl had thrown their shirts in the ocean, watching as they floated away.
She couldn’t believe what she just saw. She wasn’t shocked just disappointed in her best friend. Out of all the guys at camp, why did it have to be her ex-boyfriend and her Clarisse? “Fuck this feeling.”
She wiped her tears and fixed her face to go into act two Playing dumb. She walked back into the dining hall and towards their friend group. She put on a fake worried look. “Guys I think something happened with Clarisse she isn’t back yet, I went to go look for her but I can’t find her. I said fake panicked. My performance got the attention of the group. The friend group told everyone to go around camp and look for Clarisse. They listened. It was a lost camper after all just sat outside near the campfire while people comforted me as I put on my pretended to be in distress. They said things like like. “Don’t worry we will find her” “I bet she’s gonna turn up” or “We know how much she means to you” She doesn’t mean jack shit anymore, all those years of friendship are over.
I turned to look over at a stressed topless Clarisse coming out of the woods others stopped their search. others ran over as she covered her chest with her arms “Clarisse what happened are you okay?” I hear them say. “I just stood there in front of her quietly. I have nothing to say to her.
She finally spoke after 10 questions “I’m fine does anyone have an extra shirt?” Our friends run into a cabin and get her one. “Did you enjoy it?” I whispered to her while people were distracted. “What?” She said a bit worried as if I knew something. Our friends came back to hand her a shirt. She put it on Luke came out of the woods. That’s when people whispered and stepped back.
Luke then spoke “she got lost I was helping her?” He states “bullshit.” I say at pointing at him people then put two and two together “oh did you guys just…” another councilor asks. “That’s like kinda evil.” Another person states. I looked the girl dead in her face “You are dead to me.” I stormed away into the Aphrodite cabin. I didn’t talk to her for the remainder of camp.
Our friend group forgave her after a while because they felt bad, but then again it wasn't their exes she hooked up with so I didn't blame them
Months later and a new summer is about to start I texted my friends that I was going to the party
I needed to get out more anyway I don’t care if Clarisse la rue had been there she wouldn’t be the reason I chose to stay inside for the rest of my life because she was a backstabbing two-faced-
Odessa walked through the doors for the party the first thing that was seen was two guys sword-fighting for a bag of Sour Patch Kids. The girl rolled her eyes and went to find her friends. She saw people looking at her from the corner of her eyes she was stunning and she knew it too. Her too was a cropped black top that almost looked like a bra with some dark blue low-rise jeans showing off her hips perfectly with some fuzzy black boots matching her top. Her hair was done into a bun with a side swoop with curly pieces falling in front of her face
She don’t bring a bag because 1. Things get stolen
2. She only needed her phone with was in her pocket.
Her lip combo was pink with red lip liner and some cute lashes/mascara she smelled amazing from using her strawberry body oil from TikTok shop.😏
She looked hot like always all she was missing was her friend group *she found them doing shots in the kitchen one by one in a contest she looked down the line of people laughing at how silly they looked
Then her eyes met hers for the first time in months
The curly-haired girl was also watching their friends from across the counter but now her eyes were on you. Looking into your soul as if she knew what was behind it. You returned the favor staring straight at her. She started to look at what you were wearing her eyebrows knitted at your shirt as she walked towards you “What the hell are you wearing” she laughed. You gave her a bitchy look “I took inspiration from you” Odessa said smiling in her face. Clarisse was confused but then remembered the day they stopped being friends. Clarisse scoffed “I think I wore that bra a bit better than you huh?” Clarisse said referring to the time you gifted her a bra set that she wore for your ex. That’s when Luke came up behind her handing her a drink. You weren’t jealous you could never be jealous… as if could ever be… Jealous. Odessa scrunched her nose. “How cute, I’m gonna go barf now” she indicated as she pretended to put her finger down her throat walking off as she made eye contact with The other woman who was just in front of her face
Hours into the party everyone was either buzzed or drunk people ate like there was no tomorrow. Odessa’s friends handed her a vape but she declined knowing it would lead to her being hungry. She didn’t want to eat too much knowing her stomach was out in the open. She started to worry about her weight after Clarisse had made comments when they were friends. She then took out her phone and opened a notification from a random Snapchat user she added earlier. Spiteful_goddess. She opened the snap from them which read “Meet me in the bathroom” showing a picture of a bathroom from the second floor. Her friend Annabeth looked over at her phone “That could either be a serial killer or a hot hookup waiting to happen.” You looked at her confused “Is there no in-between?” You ask “No.” She said leaning back as she ate a slice of pizza. “Well, I trust you to tell my story? Of how I lived a good life and all that” you tell her walking away to find whoever sent you the text
You heard a group of guys whistle when you walked up the stairs and ignored them all guys are pigs
You asked the person to send another snap of the bathroom because there were about 3 upstairs you spot one of your friends making out with her boyfriend and going into one of the bathrooms.
“Not that one.” You got a notification on your phone looking as you saw the bathroom was connected to a bedroom you walked into the only one open and looked for the bathroom. She then opened to door slowly half expecting to get stabbed. She looked around the dark bathroom confused
She turned on the light to find a gorgeous girl sitting on the countertop of the sink. A voice spoke to her “Hey bestie”
You weren’t surprised only someone obsessed with you would make a whole new Snapchat account and make you chase them around a house of drunk horny teenagers. She hopped off the counter and shut the door behind you to keep you from running off. You stare at her blankly. “Clarisse did you wanna check up on me and see if I had another ex you can steal or?”
I asked her sassily. She rolled her eyes “Listen I get it what I did was shitty but you don’t get it Odessa.” She said as if she had the right. Now she was making me mad “ I don’t get what? you backstabbing me? Because you’re fucking right I don’t get it!” I yelled in her face “People use to compare us 24/7 I got tired of it it was always, Odessa is better than Clarisse at this or even Odessa has a better this and all that bullshit” she yelled back “So yeah maybe I hooked up with your ex just to see if I was better than you in some ways than others, so forgive me for trying something new” she continued.
I gave her the most unapologetically pleasing face “ You can try new anywhere with anyone and chose fucking Luke? Why? What did I ever do to make you hate me?” Tears threatened to leave the girls eyes as she yelled at Clarisse again. “He always praised you like you were his most prized possession. “I wanted something like that.” Clarisse said softly. “Something like what?” You asked her she looked you straight in your face “Something like you… a prized possession” At this point she backed you into the wall her hand on your hip and the other reaching towards your phone. “What are you doing?” Odessa asked the girl. Clarisse grabbed your phone and set it on the counter looking back at you. She wiped your tears and kept her hands on your face “I know you saw us in the woods the day.” She stared into her eyes “I’m not mad about the shirt thing either. And I’m sorry for what I did to you… to us and our friendship.”
“I just don’t know how to handle my feelings towards you and I come up with dumb shitty ideas that are not right in any way whatsoever,” she says
You look at her in shock “Did Clarisse la rue just apologize to someone?” You ask. She looked at you seriously “She did.” She looked at her eyes “Are you drunk?” You ask in a hushed tone. Clarisse looked at your lips then your eyes “No.” Her hands brush your hair out of your face as she leans in to kiss you. It was a passionate kiss she held you like she never wanted to let go and this would be the last time ever she would have to touch you again. She wanted to make it last. She moves her leg towards the girl's heat, not breaking the kiss. Odessa gasped allowing access for Clarisse to slip her tongue in •
She felt intoxicated by the kiss moving her hands to rummage through the other girl's hair and pulling it Clarisse let out a breathy moan Clarisse pressed her leg harder against the girl's heat as she did this Odessa let out a quiet moan As they kissed and fought for dominance. Odessa opened the bathroom door leading them into the bedroom the fell onto the bed breaking the kiss Odessa was straddling Clarisse looking down at her
As they reconnect lips the door bursts open a random guy enters “PARTYS BEING RAIDED” he yelled as he ran out of the room. Both girls looked at each other confused as they looked in the hallway of people running wild trying to either hide or get out of the house. I grabbed Clarisse's hand “We should leave.” They Ran out of the room and through the back door pushing through drunk teens yelling that the police were outside they laughed as they made it out and a block down, Still holding hands.
“That was a shit show” Clarisse says
“You’re my shit show” Odessa replies

Pt1?
You and Clarisse had been best friends since forever your moms were friends before you were born so you automatically binded together. The camp had started back again and you've never needed to miss Clarisse, she was your neighbor out of camp and in camp. You stayed in the Aphrodite cabin which was right next to the Ares Cabin. People knew you as the unbeatable duo. Being popular at the camp known for doing everything together pranks, dares. But mostly being known for spin the bottle.
4 years ago when they were 14 the last day of camp the older kids played spin the bottle on the beach away from the younger campers who were sleeping peacefully in their cabins. You guys laughed and played spin the bottle as clarisses spin landed on some councilor she then made out with him in front of everyone. They cheered as I raised my eyebrow and studied her face to see if she was even into it. They pull apart and laugh. “You’re a very good kisser,” Clarisse said winking at the flustered boy. “Bullshit,” I said under my breath at her reaction
Odessa looked at her and knit her eyebrows, “my turn.” Odessa announces grabbing the bottle as she spun it. Everyone watched intently as it landed on the same guy clarisse just kissed. I smiled at him as we crawled across the sand to the Middle of the circle and grabbed his face kissing him passionately after about 2 minutes I pull away going back to my spot feeling eyes on me. The guy sat there dazed “Wow” he said as he went back to his spot dumbfounded. Clarisse looked at the girl with her eyebrows furrowed, but being ignored by her. The night went on until they all had packed to go home. Clarisses mom had picked them up and bring them home.
Clarisse stormed inside her house as if she was mad. Odessa was confused and guessed it might've been about spin the bottle “I guess she liked him.” Odessa goes into the neighboring house and shuts the door. School started the same week so they both had stuff to do the whole week having time for each other then school did start and they didn't have time for each other because of school work and then the weekends came around and they hung out with different people or stayed inside. Their windows faced each other's rooms so you could see each other getting ready for different hangouts or studying.
It was one week until they were going back to camp, school had ended and Clarisse was lying in her bed bored. It was a Friday night She had an idea to check on her old friend Odessa. She got up and looked through the window. She of course wasn't going to walk over there like a normal person. They weren't really speaking terms, but the Windies helped with that since they were across the road from each other on the second floor. She looked around their Emory street it was pretty late meaning kids were most likely partying like there was no tomorrow.
Looking through her window to see if she saw her but her room was empty she watched for a bit until she got bored of looking at the girl's room then Odessa walked into her room her hair was damp as if she just washed it and a towel around her body. Clarisse wanted to obey her privacy but her eyes were glued out her window unable to move.
Pick a song.
Freshly bathed Odessa confidently enters her bedroom in just her towel. It's obvious she was just in the shower. discarding her damp towel, her skin still glistening from the moisture. She reached for her hair diffuser, her fingers dancing over the buttons with practiced ease. As she moved around her room, she was a picture of carefree joy, her laughter filling the air like a melodious song. She was acutely aware of Clarisse's presence, her gaze from the window lending an added thrill to the moment. That's why Odessa made no attempt to cover herself, her skin bared to the world as she applied lotion with a generous hand, mixing in an extra amount of oil for good measure. She made sure to stay within full view of her window, her actions a silent performance for her lone audience member.
Clarisse, for her part, found herself entranced by the scene unfolding before her eyes. Then, her phone buzzed with a new message. A quick photo from Odessa accompanied a playful text that read, "I see you, stalker." A mischievous invitation was extended, and after a moment's hesitation, Clarisse abandoned her post at the window and hurried over to Odessa's house.
Upon arriving, she was warmly welcomed by Odessa's mother. The woman was always friendly and hospitable, her delight at Clarisse's unexpected visit evident in her glowing smile and welcoming words. It had been several months since their last encounter, and the reunion was a pleasant surprise. However, Clarisse, citing the need to work on a school project, cut the conversation short and requested to see Odessa. With a nod of approval, she was allowed to proceed upstairs.
There, she found Odessa lounging nonchalantly, a book in her hand. She was casually dressed in a white crop top and a thong, her earlier display of uninhibited freedom seemingly forgotten. Odessa greeted her with a casual, "Hey, long time no see?" Clarisse, her resolve firm, shut the window and joined Odessa on the bed. She found herself captivated by the girl before her, the one who had teased and tantalized her with such confidence. "Are we ever going to talk about us not being friends anymore?" Clarisse asked. Odessa, after a moment's pondering, simply responded, "Later," Odessa says as she pulls the girls hand and drags her into her bed. She looks into Clarisses eyes as she moves her hands to her face brushing hwr fingers against the girls skin as she moves in closer so the girl is aware what is happening. She makes sure she's going slow.
their lips meeting in a dance of desire. Their breaths intertwined, the space between them filled with shared panting as their hands explored each other's bodies, their touches filled with a sense of familiarity and a hint of curiosity. Odessa bit Clarisse's bottom lip, deepening the kiss and heightening the passion between them. Clarisse responded with her own movements, grinding her core against Odessa's leg in a rhythmic dance of desire.
Their shared passion continued to escalate, their movements growing more desperate as their breaths turned ragged and uneven. They only pulled apart when the need for oxygen overpowered them, their foreheads resting together in an intimate embrace as they fought to regain their breaths. Their connection, however, remained unbroken, a testament to the intensity of their shared desire.
Clarisse's hands confidently slide down to Odessa's thong, pulling it down. Odessa reacts with a whimper at the unexpected chill that greets her wetness as she detaches her lips from Odessa to hear her voice.
Odessa, with an assurance in her movements, wraps her arms around Clarisse's waist. As Odessa begins to nuzzle her head into the other girl's neck, she leaves a trail of wet kisses along her neck. The realization of the moment settles between them, understanding the need for silence due to Odessa's mother being downstairs.
Clarisse moans into Odessa's ear, her hands making their way down to her clit, rubbing it in slow, deliberate circles. Odessa's breath hitches as she arches, her hands gripping Clarisse tightly. Clarisse releases a groan at the reaction, letting a finger slip into you without warning. "ᴄʟᴀʀɪꜱꜱᴇ!!" Odessa's voice chokes out as Clarisse deftly takes the thong Odessa was wearing and places it into her mouth to muffle her sounds.
As another finger enters Odessa, her eyes roll back in her head as she battles the overwhelming sensations brought on by her ex-best friend. A few minutes later, Odessa is melting into her touch, her eyes watering and on the brink of release. Clarisse stops as she senses Odessa's body beginning to spasm.
Odessa lets out a muffled whine through the cloth in her mouth. Clarisse expertly positions the girl on the bed and dives between her legs, her tongue working its magic. Odessa gasps as she arches, muffling her sounds as Clarisse works her over.
“ʏᴏᴜ ᴛᴀꜱᴛᴇ ꜱᴏ ɢᴏᴏᴅ.”
Overwhelmed by the statement, Odessa climaxes, her body sweaty and shaking from the intense experience. Clarisse gently removes the cloth from the girl's mouth and kisses her with a lust-filled intensity.
Odessa rides out her high on Clarisse's thigh, catching her breath. "Wanna do something fun?" Odessa asks, her eyes drifting towards her Polaroid camera with a playful smile. Catching on, Clarisse returns the grin.
With a nod of agreement, they position themselves on the bed, their bodies intertwined in a sensual pose. Odessa captures the moment with a click of the camera, their shared intimacy immortalized in the resulting Polaroid photograph. They do more poses and use the polaroid to take the photos.
Hours later and Clarisse leaves to go home as she goes downstairs she greets your mom saying bye and that she'll catch with uo with her later. Running across the street Clarisse eneters hwe house in a daze her back is against the door as she breaths heavily. She lets out a light laugh as she enters her room closing hwe window. She looks down at her hand and sees a polaroid Odessa gave her as a gift. It was Odessa in red-laced underwear. Clarisse puts the picture in a box in her closet as she flops onto her bed thinking about what just happened.
Realizing “ɪ'ᴍ ꜰᴜᴄᴋᴇᴅ.”
Clarisse x Reader - This is a Life
Clarisse x gn! reader
Reader is from the Aphrodite cabin, but only for the plot!
An- Around 3.3k words, sorry it took so long to get out! Hope you guys enjoy this! Let me know if I should write something that kind of does more of a deep dive into this, because I feel like something is missing or something
Warnings- Weapons, fake dating, blood at one point, affection, petnames, guy named Andrew (apologies to any one named Andrew), Aphrodite is a pretty okay mom in this. Pls tell me if I missed anything!
Everybody in camp recognized you as the favored child of Aphrodite. People looked twice when you walked by, flowers bloomed in your direction, and mirrors wished they could reflect you.
Clarisse is the favored daughter of her dad, Ares. People feared her, flowers looked away as she passed, and only a select few could stand to be close to her.
But even those who were close kept a great distance.
That was what was similar between the favorite Aphrodite kid and the favorite Ares daughter.
But even that was comparable, for she was a daughter, and a daughter could never compare to a son in her fathers eyes, whilst your mother seems to love you unconditionally.
You and Clarisse weren't close by any means, but you had always caught each other's attention on some level.
For you, it was how she sparred. Muscles flexing, covered in sweat, and a wild and free grin spread across across. You could find beauty in her that was no wheres else in the camp.
For her, it was the way you held yourself and how you were with young campers. Your slight confidence, the care you have for each camper, and the way you treat others. It was admirable, considering the way that Clarisse was probably the opposite of you.
“-risse, Clarisse, Clarisse!” Clarisse brook out of the slight stupor she was in and looked across the table where her sibling was calling her name and waving his hand around. “Oh, thank the gods. I about almost called over an Apollo kid to check on you.” She rolled her eyes as he laughed a bit.
They were in the dining hall, for it was lunch. Her plate was still quit full as she looked down at it. She was hungry, but she felt as if there was something preventing her from eating.
“Hey, would you look at that.” Her brother was looking past, his eyes holding questions. She turned her head to look over her shoulder and scoffed. There you were, holding your tray and standing talking to Percy Jackson, who was sitting alone at his Poseidon camp table.
That Capture the flag game happened a while ago now, but it was still upsetting how many people still like that kid, even after what he did, although it makes sense with all of the things he has done.
Her grip on her fork tightened, and she glared hard in your direction. Her brother snorted. “You really like them, huh?” She whipped her head back to look at him.
“What? Who?” She softened just slightly after he said your name. “Where did you get that idea?”
“The way you two look at each other. There's a rumor going around that you two are secretly dating each other, but we all know that you would never.”
“Never what?”
“Date anyone. Especially them.” She scoffed again.
“What do you mean?”
“You're not… an emotional person. Everyone knows you couldn't even make a relationship actually work.” She narrowed her eyes at him.
“Fine then.” She slammed her hands against the table and got up, making her way over to you. Percy noticed her first and scrambled to sit up straighter and to not smile. You raised your eyebrow at him, but he nodded his head in Clarisse’s direction and you laughed a little.
“Hey Claris-” you lifted one of your hands up to wave, but once she was close enough she took that hand in hers and then wrapped her other arm around your waist, pulling you towards her in a kiss.
The whole camp seemed to go quiet, and while it wasn't the most emotional kiss, Clarisse was very passionate in how she was kissing you, it was overwhelming to say the least. Your tray dropped, spilling food all over the ground and making a loud crash. Your hand found its way to the back of her neck and you gently tugged on her curls and twirled some of the baby hairs at her nape around your fingers. She broke off the kiss, looking you right in your eyes as you were flustered and tried to reclaim your breath.
“Um, what the-'' Percy began, but before anything else was said Clarisse tugged on your hand and ran towards the forest with you.
“Clarisse, what was that a-”
“Date me.” She blurted out the words before her mind could tell her to not to.
“What- this is super out of the blue, even for you Clarisse!” Clarisse rolled her eyes.
“We can fake dates then. Just for a few months or so.”
“How is that even relevant?!?!”
“If we fake date, then none of it will be real. And then, I get to prove something, and you…well, I can make sure people dont bother you.” You narrowed your eyes at her.
“But why?” Clarrise sighed deeply and your eyebrows furrowed more.
“Look, people already think we are dating, my sibling thinks I could never be in a relationship, and I don't hate you. Much.” She then looked you up and down in a way that almost made you wish that you were invisible.
“Now, how well can you act?”
The shock of the century happened at camp Half Blood the next morning at breakfast when Clarrise showed up with you attached to her arm. Jaws were on the floor and every table was turned towards your direction.
Clarisse had a proud smirk on her face as she survived the dining hall. Some part of you also felt weirdly proud as well, as if having your arm intertwined with hers was the reason you were at this camp anyway.
She moved you in the direction of the Ares table, an arrangement the two of you had settled on while setting up rules and guidelines. You would sit with her at her table, at least come to most of her training sessions and sit next to her at the bonfires. She would visit the strawberry fields and lake with you, join the craft classes you have with young campers, and on occasions, she would allow you to place a kiss on her while wearing lipstick or lip gloss, making sure to leave a mark.
You both also agreed on minimal kissing, which was a shame since she was a good kisser. Any other types of touches were pretty much guaranteed if the two of you were near each other.
“Goodmorning.” Clarisse greeted the rest of the table, untangling her arm from yours before setting her tray on the table and then sitting down. You did the same, and in an instant, Clarrise wrapped her arm around your waist, situating her hand on your stomach comfortably. You scratched a bit closer to her so your thighs were touching.
A chorus of morning greetings left various peoples mouths and Clarisse hummed a bit. She reached for a bag of apple slices and ripped open the small bag with the help of her teeth. You giggled a bit and nudged her side.
“Honey, that was kind of weird. You know you could've just let go of me, right?” She stared into your eyes mischtifully.
“You lost me at let go.”
It took everything in you to not burst out laughing as a few people around you literally gagged. She winked at you and you grinned at her before the two of you each turned back to your breakfast.
Your chin sat on both of your palms as you sat in the stands right outside of the training grounds, watching as Clarisse took on another camper in a dual. Capture the flag was coming up in about a week, but despite that, many people have come up to you asking if the news that had spread around camp was true.
“Hey, babe, did you see that?” Clarisse was jogging over to you, a smile on her lips. You smiled back at her and once she was close enough moved to stand between your legs, her hands trailed up your thighs lightly before they landed on your waist. You tried your best to ignore the shiver that went through your body.
“I missed it. I’m sorry hun.” You put one of your hands on her shoulder while you fiddled with one of her strands of curls with the other. She let out a breathe, and you could almost swear she was pouting.
She leaned in closer, her lips almost touching your ear. “You're doing good, yeah?” she whispered.
“Yeah.” you whispered back. She moved a little bit back and smirked.
“Good. You keep doin’ that, 'kay sweetheart?” she patted your thigh twice before turning and running back to her training. Your heart skipped one to many times during that interaction.
Please Mother, let me survive this.
The next week and a half went pretty much like that, with you and Clarisse glued to each other's sides for the entirety of the day. She was even somehow able to convince Chiron to put the Aphrodite cabin on the red team.
You were with Clarisse now, getting ready for the capture the flag game. Your armor sat heavily on your shoulders as you did your best to fix all of the straps while following your “girlfriend” and listening to her bark out orders and plans.
Some of your siblings were grouped together all complaining about how much stuff they had to do compared to when they were on the blue team, but you knew that some of them were grateful that Clarisse knew that they were capable to do things that the other cabins could do.
Clarisse looked behind her where you were still struggling with your armor. She sighed and moved closer to you. She carefully took your hand in hers and then tighten your straps so that way it was secure. You watch her face the whole time, finding the way she furrowed her eyebrows in concentration to be quite cute.
“There. You ready to do this?” She looked up, pausing when her eyes met your. The two of you stared at each other for a moment before your eyes flickered to the ground, or at least any wear that wasn't her face.
“Yeah, I am. What did you want me to do again?” She huffed out a laugh and then moved past you.
“All you need to do sweetheart is to follow me.”
Even though you were out of breath, you continued to follow your fake girlfriends footsteps.
Well, it wasn't like you had much of a choice with how tightly she was holding your hand and tugging you along paths.
Out of nowhere, a group of people from the blue team jumped out of the trees and began to attack. Clarisse let go of your hand and brought out her spear, running forward and taking on two people at once.
You took out your provided sword and prayed that your trainings with Clarisse would pay off. Your sword clashed with the sword of a boy from the Hermes cabin, and you recognized him as a guy named Andrew, someone who used to follow you around and flirt with you before you and Clarisse became a temporary item.
“I’ve been wondering if I could even get you alone.” Andrew backed you away from the rest of the group and more into the trees.
“I have a girlfriend, Andrew.” You made sure your voice was stable and hard. You hoped you could get your point across to him, but this is the guy who couldn't take a hint from you before, so it was evident that he wasn't going to start now.
“Come on, everyone knows that you like me. We can tell that Clarisse pressured you into the relationship. The two of you weren't meant to be.” You tripped over a root, sending you falling, hitting the ground hard and hurting your back in the process.
“Me and you were meant to be together. Couldn't you see that I was flirting with you? ‘Cause I could see that you returned the feelings with how you flirted with me.” Your eyes flickered for any type of escape from his anger and jealousy, but there was no safe way out with how he was practically sitting on your stomach. It made you sick with how close his face was to yours.
“Well,” you carefully moved your hand to twirl a longer strand of his hair between your fingers. It was straight, especially compared to Clarisse’s. You tried to ignore how wrong this felt, and you tried to push away the urge to gag. If using the charm you had gotten from your mother would get you out of this, then so be it. “I had no idea you felt like that, sweety. What can I do to make it up to you?”
Charmspeak wasn't against the rules. After all, this was the gift that was given to you from your godly parents.
You watched as his eyes followed your hand as you began to softly caress his face.
This has to be one of the most disgusting things you have ever done.
“So you do like me! I knew th-” Andrew stopped his sentence as his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he flopped off of you to the side. You jumped up, finding yourself in front of your savior.
“Clarisse! You knocked him out! Is that even aloud?!” Clarisse laughed and poked Andrew with the none sharp end of her spear.
“He deserved it. Easiest decision of my li…” you stopped trying to wipe off all of the dirt that had resided on your clothes to raise your eyebrow at her Clarisse.
She was staring at you, her mouth slightly open and an almost entranced look in her eyes.
Was there dirt on your face? Did you somehow use your charmspeak on her?
“Um, Clarisse, maybe we should-'' Before you could finish your sentence, Clarisse had brought her left hand up and gently slid her thumb over your cheek bone.
You guessed that you had gotten a small cut there, and from the small flash of red that appeared and her thumb, you guessed that you were right. She moved it away a bit, and then she pushed back a strand of hair that had begun to obstruct your vision. She kept her hand there then, and you brought up your hand to touch her wrist, a grounding move for you were starting to feel light headed. You stared into eachothers eyes, and what broke you apart was the flinching sound of the games ending conch shell horn.
The blue team had won, another year in a row.
Clarisse sighed and ended the contact, moving away and bending down to pick up your discarded sword. She put it in your hands.
“You weren’t too bad out there. And, you, huh, you looked, um pretty good too.” She nodded, cleared her throat and turned away from you, heading back down the trail, but not before using her foot to push Andrew out of the way more.
For some reason, that was the moment you finally realized how in love you were with your fake girlfriend.
That night, your mother appeared in your dreams for the first time. Sitting on the wood pierre that was feet above the water, with moon light reflected off the liquid, Aphrodite appeared in front of you. With curly brown hair and brown eyes, and that tanned skin that you could swear you had begun to memorize, your mom looked different from what you expected.
“I appear as what you are attracted to,” Aphrodite nudged your shoulder from where she sat beside you. She seemed to respond to what you were thinking. “For you, that's that girlfriend of yours.”
“Fake girlfriend. We aren't really dating.” Aphrodite laughed in a way that made your heart beat a bit faster. That laugh belonged to someone who now had your heart.
“Could… could you switch to look like someone else? This is kind of unnerving to me.” She laughed again and shook her head.
“I can't be here for long, my child.” She change the subject.
“Then why are you here?”
“You're in love somehow. I know that you probably wouldn't tell her without some sort of push.”
You stared at her. She was practically glowing, the sear fabric that was draped on her body floating.
“Hearts aren't meant to hurt, hunny. If you distance yourself, or try to break away from her and move on, then two hearts will get hurt.”
Silence fell over the two of you, just for a moment.
“Mom?”
“Yes?”
“Am I… am I really your favorite? I mean, other people say that, but you've never given me a gift, and I haven't been on a quest, and this is the first time I've even met you. I just-”
“There are many of you, and I have love for each of you and your siblings. But yes, it could be said that I am very proud of you, and what you have accomplished.” Tears started to fill your eyes, though you weren't sure exactly why you were crying.
“Goodbye, my dear.” She softly pressed a kiss to your cheek.
And with that, your mother was gone once again.
Tears were running down your face once you woke up.
You moved off your blankets and got up moving towards the cabin's front doors. It was almost pitch black, and it was easy to tell that it was still night. Maybe just sitting out on the porch and thinking would do you some good.
But right when you were a few steps away, the door started to crack open.
Your mind jumped to many conclusions, like there was a ghost or one of your siblings had stayed out late with their partner. Then you caught sight of the hand that was pushing on the wood.
It was the same hand that has intertwined with yours, the same hand that had held onto your body all week. The same hand that you had seen wielding a sword for years.
“Clarisse?” The door stopped opening, and then Clarisse poked her head through the opening.
She whispered your name back, and you took note about how this was the most sheepish you had ever witnessed her to be. She backed up, and you went out of your cabin to join her.
“Hey.” she whispered.
“Hi.” you whispered back. “What's wrong?” You could swear that her hand twitched in the slightest, like she was about to reach out and hold yours but thought better.
“I, um, had a nightmare. You were the only place I could think to go to. It’s fine now though, so you should go back inside and get your beauty sleep.” She turned away from you, starting to go down the steps back to her cabin.
“Do you like me?” She stood still on the second step down. You walked towards her slowly, and you started to wish you had brought a blanket out with you. The night chill was starting to get to you, and you were starting to wish that you had that type of safe feeling.
“My, um, my mother visited my dreams tonight. And we talked, and I know that we havent really been dating, but i kike you Clarisse, and I kind of hoped, only if you want, if we could kind of be offic-”
A pair of lips crashed into yours before anything else happened. The passion from the first kiss that the two of you had shared was there still, but this time something felt so much more real.
You felt so many emotions, and so did Clarisse, and you knew that she was trying to convey them all to you like this.
Both of her hands were on your face, each one gently holding your cheeks so you could stay in place. Your hands were on her wrists, but you moved them to the back of her neck where you gently tugged on her curls. You smiled into the kiss.
Her hair would always be your favorite.
Clarisse pulled away from the kiss, and laughed when she saw your eyes were still closed. You glared at her a little, but your smile was still present on your face.
“I do.” Clarisse said. You hummed and tilted your head in confusion. Clarisse laughed again a bit.
“I do like you.” Somehow your smile got even bigger.
“So we can kiss anytime now?”
“Anytime, sweetheart.”

The sun was almost to much to bear.
Beating down on Clarisse, it was almost melting. But she continued to swing her spear at the training dummy, hitting as hard as she could while making sure to be acutely aware of where she was landing the hits.
She was also very aware of the eyes that followed her every move.
She knew that it was you, the only person at camp she allowed to get close to her. For some reason.
“Do you want to train with me?” She paused to yell and to look over at you.
“I’ll pass.” You were standing on the sidelines holding Clarisse's water bottle and her towel. She looked back at the dummy once before relaxing a bit and walking over to you. She grabbed the water and jugged it.
“How's day goin’ for you, angel?” You rolled your eyes just a bit and smiled at her nickname for you. She has called you that ever since you two really became friends, and almost gone is the flustered feeling it used to give you.
Almost.
“Really good actually, pretty girl.” Clarisse then took that chance to roll her eyes back at you, but the sun was definitely getting hotter because there was definitely no other reason why Clarisse’s face was feeling so warm all of the sudden, even after her intake of cool water.
“Oh yeah? What have you been doing?” She took the towel that you had extended to her and sat down on the closest bench. She nodded along as you recounted your day and how you spent the most of it doing crafts and training with the younger campers. She sat and listened until it was time for dinner, where the two of you sat side by side at the Ares table, even though it wasn’t technically allowed.
A few of her siblings teased the two of you, but it was a common occurrence, so they all knew that this was normal and would continue to be so. But they also couldn't just let it slide.
Clarisse made sure you were close by the rest of the night, completing both of your nightly routines that have over time molded together to make sure that they could fit like a puzzle piece.
She walked you to your cabin, and just like on any other night, there was a slight itch in her hand and the thought in her brain that she should be holding on to you in some way.
Linked hands, her arm around your shoulder, her hand guiding you whilst being placed on the small of your back. All feel like they could be the most natural thing in the world, if only your relationship could be just a little different.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, ‘kay?” Your question broke her from her thoughts and she just nodded.
“Yeah. Sleep tight, got it?” You smiled and hesitated before pulling her in for a quick hug. She tried to get over her surprise fastly, but you were quicker to end the hug then she was able to melt into you.
“So, um… goodnight.” You turned and walked into your cabin, Clarisse and one of your siblings who had witnessed the event watching with wide eyes. She made eye contact with them, and her shock dropped from her face. “Scram.” Your sibling nodded and wordlessly walked past her, going to some place she could care less about.
She stood there for another minute or so, her hand covering the bottom off her face as she sighed. The sun was gone now, but for some reason, her face felt all too hot right now.
She was beginning to think that the reason and cause had to do something with you.
Clarisse woke with a start the minute the creak of a floor board was heard across the cabin. She had practically trained herself to be awake at any moment, though she could mostly thank her fathers genes for that convenient trait.
None of her siblings seemed to have got it though, since none of them had even stirred.
She squinted her eyes to try to see through the darkness. “Hello?” she whispered out. The outline of a person stuck standing near the doorway visibly let some tension out of their shoulders as they began to move towards her, seemingly uncaring of the other little creaks that the old wood would let out.
“Clarisse?” Clarisse also then let out a breath, as well as a lot of the tension she was also holding.
“Angel? What are you doing here?” She sat up a bit more properly and scooted more to the side of her bed that was touching the wall, patting the now empty wedge, the sheets still wrinkled from the few hours of tossing and turning and sleep she had got.
You moved into that space next to her, bringing your knees up to your chin and your arms wrapped around your legs.
Uh oh. Clarisse thought. The fetal position was never a good sign.
She hesitated before reaching her own arm around your shoulders, pulling you a bit closer to her, hoping that you could soak in some of the warmth Ares kids were notorious to have.
But she was still an Ares kid.
Comfort was not something she was really familiar with.
“What happened?” Her mind began to wander a bit, thinking that you must have gotten hurt. But who would hurt you knowing they would have to face her wrath? Her hands shook a little as she went through a list in her mind of potential people. It must have been one of your siblings, probably the one who-
“I had a nightmare.” Your voice was barely audible, but just the sound almost instantly calmed Clarisse down.
“Yeah? Do you want to talk about it? Or….” you shook your head no. “Do you want to stay the night here?”
You shifted a bit to look at her, and she noticed your eyes were a bit red and puffy. She wondered a bit about what could have happened in your dream if it made you have this strong of a reaction. All demigods got nightmares, you and Clarisse being no exception.
But this was the first time you had ever sought the other out like this.
“Can I?” You whispered.
“Any time.” She gently coaxed you out of your position so that way the two of you could lay flat on your backs, her arm still protectively holding you. “You know that I’m super strong, right? Whatever was scary in your dream was definitely no match against me.” You giggled, and Clarisse smiled.
She then spent some time talking about how she could protect you against anything, right until you fell asleep. She watched you for a moment, the peaceful look and the rise and fall of your chest bringing her comfort. She gently pushed a bit of hair away from your face and refused the urge in which was telling to place a kiss on your forehead.
She settled beside you, and sleep came easier for her then it had ever been since she had found out she was the daughter of war.
Sunlight streamed a bit too harshly through the windows making Clarisse try to close her eyes tighter. She groaned when she realized it was useless.
Someone cuddled in closer to her, their arms getting stronger around her waist. She tensed up a bit before remembering last night. The both of you were laying on your sides facing each other, all of your limbs seemed to be entangled with hers. She leaned into you more and began to close her eyes again.
That was before she heard the giggles of her siblings.
Her eyes shot open, and there were some of her brothers and sisters, standing above her bed, two of them with cameras. “What the fu- get away! Get!” She whisper- yelled, trying her best to not be close to your ear while making sure you didn't move much. Her siblings just laughed, took a picture, and then ran out of the cabin, their heavy steps making her flinch.
“What time is it?” Your voice distracted her from glaring at the still left open door. Her eyes flickered to her alarm clock. “It’s almost nine.” You hummed and burrowed your face into her neck.
She tried to ignore that.
Clarisse was always an early riser. Sleeping in any time after seven made her moody, and naps were completely out of the question and annoying to her.
So how was she able to sleep till nine, breaking her 5:30 wake up and missing both of her alarms? And why did she feel so… rejuvenated? Were you numbing her senses?
“We should get up.” You looked up at her, your eyes all sleepy and a small frown on your face.
“You don’t want to stay with me?”
Oh.
The room felt a bit hotter all of the sudden.
“Don’t you have classes to teach? The kids can't learn how to craft all by themselves.” She smirked as you blinked at her. You groaned and sat up, cutting off the skin contact and effectively making Clarisse feel colder and as if she was missing something.
“You’re lucky that I like what I do. I’ll see you at lunch, ‘kay?” You smiled at her and got up, stretching as you left her cabin to walk to yours.
All Clarisse could think about was; "is she actually lucky?"
The rest of the day seemed to go like normal, with you and Clarisse doing your separate duty’s while still finding times and places where the two of you could meet.
She was able to track and threaten her siblings, the ones who had taken the pictures of you two sleeping. She confiscated the camera, but when no one else was looking she pocketed one of the photos.
For safekeeping. She justified to herself.
To make sure that no one else would see it.
That night when you said your good nights, you hugged her again. This time it was a hug she was able to lean into, one that she was able to savor.
She was about to offer you to stay with her again, just another night. But the words got stuck in her throat as you pulled away.
“Stay safe, promise?'' Your words made her curious, but she wasn’t going to question you. It clicked that this was probably because of your dream.
“Have you even met me?” She laughed a bit, and you smiled at her softly.
It made her falter a bit. If any enemies were just a smidge like her, then that smile alone would stop an army.
“I’ll see you tomorrow. I promised the kids that we would teach the sword class together.” She sounded a bit breathless, and she hoped that it was only in her mind. You hesitated, but nodded.
“See you tomorrow.”
Clarisse has been on edge ever since the clock turned to twelve. It was around this time that you had come to her yesterday, and even though it was a one time event, (or so she figured it would be), it felt like there was a pit in her stomach, and she couldn't help but feel like you were in some sort of danger.
She was almost ready to jump off her bed and speed walk to your cabin.
“Clarisse, can you stop?” One of her siblings whispered from some other bunk and she sighed. She realized that she was tossing and turning louder than she thought.
“I’m taking a walk.” She flipped the sheets off of her and walked out the door, making her way silently to your cabin. There were only a handful of times that she has been in here, but she knew where your bed was.
You were tossing and turning worse then how she was, sweat dripping down your chin to your neck. She gently touched your shoulder, something she knew she probably shouldn't have done, but it was enough to wake you from your sleep.
You sat up fast, your chest moving rapidly as you tried to catch your breath. You gulped.
“Clarisse? What… why are you here?” Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked at her, still breathing hard.
“I felt that you weren't okay. Another nightmare?” You nodded as she continued to stand above you.
“Well, if you're okay, I'm gonna- I’ll… leave.” She turned around, but your hand caught her wrist with a tight grip before she was able to get far.
“Can you… can you stay?'' You were looking at her with those eyes again, and her breath was gone as well.
“Yeah. I can.” Her voice was too soft, a soft that would make her father distaste her even more. But she climbed into your bed, and for another night she slept with you in her arms.
The two of you occupied each other's beds for the next month, but neither of you spoke of the tension that riddled the space between you.
Nightmares didn't plague you any more, and Clarisse was getting better sleep then she had ever gotten before. That was until Chiron called her to his office.
“A quest?” Chiron nodded.
“Yes, one that was provided by one of the gods themselves, Hera. She asked for an Ares kid to complete this for her. You’ll think about it, won’t you?”
Clarisse nodded slowly.
“Perfect. Now, get back to your activities.”
Clarisse left his office like that. Her mind was clouded, and she didn't really know what to do.
Of course she had to take it, this was another great opportunity to show how great she was to her dad, and how far her training has come.
But she couldn't help thinking: what about you? How would you be if she had left? Quests could take up any amount of time, and what if something happened to her? Or you while she was away?
“What was that about?” Luke appeared next to her, catching her by surprise. She swallowed the lump in her throat.
“A quest. They specifically want me.” Luke nodded, and he had that weird thoughtful look on his face that made Clarisse’s nose wrinkle.
The two of them hardly got along well, but as cabin counselors they had to be civil. She looked around at the trees as they walked together towards the training ground, that is until Luke spoke your name.
“Do they know?” He asked. She shook her head.
“No other campers but you knows.” He just nodded his head again. He smirked and looked at her.
“Can't wait to see how that goes.” And then he turned and walked the other way, leaving Clarisse standing there in slight shock. What was that about? Did he know something she didn’t?
She shook it off the best that she could before walking to where you were.
There was a smile on your face as you helped an eight year old boy from the Hermes cabin hold his sword properly. She watched as you stepped back and let him swing it at the target, clapping your hands and laughing a bit once he finally got it right. He ran to give you a hug, and you hugged him back, and she could tell from where she was that you were praising his abilities. Clarisses heart felt so full, and all though she thought it was impossible, she could swear she was falling for you even more.
Maybe Silena was right, and she is a stickler for domesticy. Maybe a quest wasn't what would make her truly happy. Maybe it was a life with you.
“Clarisse!” You were running towards her and she caught you in a hug.
“Hey. I was actually hoping that we could talk for a bit.” The smile stayed on your face while confusion clouded your eyes and your eyebrows furrowed.
“Sure, okay.”
The two of you walked into the forest together, stopping in a clearing which happened to be Clarisse’s favorite place at camp. Other than wherever you were. You took her hand in yours in a way that she assumed you thought would bring her comfort, but it just made her heart beat faster.
“The gods want me to go on a quest.” She blurted out. Your face and mood fell and you took your hand out of her grip gently.
“And what did you say?”
“Well, I'm technically still thinking about it, but I think that this could be good for me. Hera wants this thing done for her, and you know that I have trained for this, and it would be nice if my father would recognize me at least once. But I also- Angel? Are you okay?”
You looked as if you were about to cry, one hand hovering over where your heart is and the other almost covering your mouth. You were shaking like a leaf in the wind, and Clarisse didn’t like it one bit.
She moved towards you, placing her hands on either side of your shoulders and helping you sit on the ground. She put your face in between her collarbone and neck, stroking your hair softly as you sniffled.
“What’s wrong?” She was unsure that you would answer, but you shifted your head a bit back.
“This is just like my nightmare.”
It all kind of made sense now.
“I had them, for like, a week before I first went to your cabin. It’s always the same some how, with you accepting a quest from Hera and never returning, or you go missing and I have to be the one to find your body, or I go with you and I can’t do anything about that stupid monster you fight, and I just-” You were crying, Clarisse could practically feel them burn into her skin.
“I don’t want to lose you Clarisse. Not on a dumb quest or ever. I don’t know what to do without you.” Clarisse nodded a bit and fiddled with a piece of your hair.
“I chased away the dreams though, right?” She had no clue if you would appreciate any type of small joke she made, and she figured she was dead when you pulled away from her a little and looked into her eyes, your lips slightly parted in what she could only guess was surprise.
Then you leaned in and kissed her on the mouth.
She was surprised, just like how she was when you had first hugged her. You pulled away quicker this time, fear evading finding your eyes for the split second before Clarisse pulled you back in, returning the kiss you first started with as much passion as she could possibly convey. You were both breathless the next moment once you realized that you had to get air.
“I don’t know what to do about the quest.” Clarisse whispered. She didn’t know why she did, but she felt like something could break if she didn’t.
“I don’t know either.” You responded, your voice as low as hers.
“I-... I think I like you.” Clarisse confessed.
Although they weren't exactly the words she wanted to say, (She knew for a fact that she was in love with you), but it still felt as if a slight weight was lifted off of her. You leaned back into her, so close that she could practically feel the smile that grew on your face on her lips.
“I think I like you too, pretty girl.” And she smiled too.
“Why do you call me that?” She tilted her head as you leaned back and laughed.
“Because you're pretty.”
The way you said it with so much certainty, as if you knew she could rival Aphrodite herself, made Clarisse feel bubbly, and she wasn’t someone who would ever really feel like that.
She didn't know what she would do about the quest.
She didn’t know what you would do if you found out if she ever accepted, or what punishment she would face if she were to turn it down.
But Clarisse La Rue was in love with you, and she would protect you from those nightmares for as long as you let her.
We love a supportive and protective Clarissse ❤️😊
BABBBYYYYYY OMG I HAVE A HEADCANNON!
Okay so imagine Clarisse is like eating with her sibilants and so is like every one else. But then like you hear like yelling and shouting and it’s her gfn and her gfns sister arguing over whatever. What do you think Clarisse would do?
ok i’m sorry… i think you mean that y/n is fighting w her sibling right??? i think so i’m going w that ANYWAYSSSSSSS
i don’t feel like fleshing out an actual argument so OOHHHH your bitchy sister told a secret of yours to everyone 😱😱😱😱
this is so me that one time my friend started saying shit and then i tried to fight her from across the lunch table screaming LET GO OF ME IM GONNA RIP HER FUCKING HAIR OUT (they did not let go of me… very sad 💔)
but basically there’s two ways i feel this could go
if you’re actually physically fighting her then similar to Don’t Delete The Kisses she’s probably just gonna stand up and watch you bc all those training sessions that you have w her were not just to flirt!!!!!! or feel up on you!!!!! it mostly was but shush!!!!!!!
so if you’re winning she doesn’t care but eventually when you start actually hurting her or she feels it’s escalating then she’ll drag you away from the fight like she’ll pick you up if she has to even though you’re kicking and screaming
she’ll take you back to her cabin and then be like “you did such a great job baby i’m so proud except just make sure not to reveal your side when you swing-”
and if you got any injuries then she’ll clean them up for you, definitely give you a few kisses for being just so so brave!
and if you get hurt…. do i even have to elaborate?? i don’t think i do but i will 😍
EXCEPT PLOT TWIST she really don’t care about some random girl who’s only defense was to pull your hair really hard or slap you 😭😭
she just doesn’t like to see you hurt 💔 however small 💔 so she’ll probably AGAIN just drag you away even if you want to keep fighting “LET ME AT HER” “NO DUMBASS YOURE HURT” “SHE JUST SCRATCHED ME ILL BE FINE” “I. DONT. CARE.”
and then if you’re just like arguing verbally she agrees w whatever you’re saying. even if you’re advocating murder ok she’ll murder someone for you no big deal 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ like why you even talking abt it w some random girl…? all you gotta do it ask trust 🙏
even if it’s super petty
“YES MAC N CHEESE IS THE BEST FOOD” “NO THE FUCK IT IS NOT-”
“YES BABY!!!!! SO TRUE!!!!!! GET EM FR!!!!!!!”
