I think cis people who don't have gender dysphoria but just want to mess around with gender and are fully informed about all that hormones do should be able to easily get hrt if they want it. I think cis women that hate their chest and feel like its stressing them out quite a bit should be able to get top surgery and get it covered if they want to. I think cis men who hate or just dislike their body hair and want it removed, should be able to get it removed and that should be covered. I think anyone who wants bottom surgery should have access to it.
Like it's your body. You get to make these decisions. Not a doctor or a psychiatrist. The way transition is something that in many doctor's eyes only binary trans people should get access to just reinforces that we should all try being as close to the cis ideal as we can.
I've been seeing a lot of posts about how, yes cis people can also use whatever pronouns they like, but honestly? Cis people can have whatever access to any part of "transition" they desire.
contrary to popular belief not everyone has an innate sense of internal gender or care to have one or seek a name for it, some people go their whole lives without questioning their occupation in one of two gender roles, but for some people, if pressed, they donât feel that internal sense of âi am a womanâ or âi am a manâ, and in that case i feel the switch over to transgender vs cisgender relies on active identification of a gender other than the one they were assigned. if someoneâs like âidk dude I just work hereâ then thatâs valid

Fun social experiment! Misgender a cis person, and when they correct you (bonus points if they get mad) reply with "well how was I supposed to know your special pronouns?" And then continue to use the wrong pronouns when addressing them.

I assume (out-of-universe) because Star Wars pre-dates the internet as we understand it, it was never considered. Iâd assume thereâve been attempts to integrate it over the years but they just havenât stuck.
I think it was mentioned in one of the old West End Games sourcebooks that there does exist a âpublicâ galactic communication service (like video-chat)? But again itâs reliant on the infrastructure being present and itâs specifically noted to have significant time delays depending on where youâre contacting (and be very expensive depending on what service package you use in what location). Iâd be fascinated to know how all the Jedi communicators work under that system (I think I recall reading that they essentially piggyback of existing services automatically, since you donât want a Jedi to be out of contact because they canât afford the fee), given that theyâd presumably have a lot of the same technical issues.
I also know thereâs been mentions of a âholonetâ and one of the Separatist Leaders, Po Nudo, was head of the âHyper-Communications Cartelâ which defected to the CIS, but thatâs typically used synonymously with either âGalactic newsâ or propaganda, so it could be a communications thing, it could be a sort of proto-internet or it could be just, the news.

It's my headcanon that there's not a galactic-wide holonet. That infrastructure just isn't there. Individual planets like coruscant probably have a holonet, sure, and some core worlds are connected to each other, but for a lot of the galaxy, most of the galaxy even, the average person just doesn't have access to a galactic equivalent of Earth's internet.
