Notes: this has been a long long long time coming- this is literally everything that i’ve ever written for Bily outside of the canonical chaptered content. Some of these ideas are more developed than the others- and several times in the last year i’ve re-visited certian parts of bily and revised my initial thoughts on it- so i wouldn’t call all of this ‘cannon’

my favorite part of these are often your takes on what i’ve written and as a function of that sometimes- your ask part is longer than my response. some of these are longer and some of these are only a few sentences- the longer ones and more ‘quality’ asks start around January of this year! there is some triggering content and some that’s smutty, very little of it is tagged so proceed at your own risk! I will try to update it monthly with all the asks i answer!

A/n: Although i don’t think that what happens in the chapter is in any way un consensual- it definitely toes a line in what is considered modern consent theory. I don’t subscribe to the notion that one sip of alcohol takes away a persons agency- and the m/c is still very much verbally consenting to Jimin even though she has had a drink-and he hasn’t and Jimin is scent high so! She’s tipsy at best through the entirety of the chapter.

The sun sets on your drive over, turning the rearview mirror every shade of yellow and red. The lights of the city twinkle in the distance and turn the sky a burning orange on the horizon. Jimin uses his horn liberally as he struggles to park but in the meantime, you transfer your few cards to the new wallet and put the wallet inside the bunny bag. Giving it a happy squeeze when everything is finally all in it’s place. 

A group of people smokes outside the bar and If the smell draws Jimin at all he doesn’t show it, holding the door open for you and Tae. the interior of the bar is already crowded by the time you get in. You think you’re doomed to the standing room by the bar but then you see it: right by the door, a booth with one side to the windows

To his credit, Jimin does try not to feel hurt by the way that you shoot out of the booth and out of his arms immediately when you see them. Leaving his lap cold and his arms reaching to snatch you a second too late. His instincts flare higher and higher like an out-of-control flame- they say no and stay put but wail when they see you in the arms of another person (an omega- but still).

Oftentimes- it’s hard for Jimin to try and explain what his instincts actually feel like.

An itch down his spine, something with claws and teeth sinking into his shoulder or nudging gently at his lower back in the direction of certain choices. Sometimes hooking on the back of his tongue and speaking for him. Something that hints at pleasure and promises ruin for his pack if they’re not obeyed.

At the best of times Jimin hardly notices them, but other times he feels like little more than a monster made man.

“I don’t think that we have anything to worry about,” Yoongi says, tapping his fingers on the bedspread the morning after your date with Tae and Jimin. Both of you perched on the edge of the nest rife with disarray, but your nest looks so homey after four people slept in it last night. It almost makes Yoongi feel better.

Almost.  

Ccidic dread still curdles in his stomach at what you’ve said. Somehow Yoongi didn’t expect this plot twist. Maybe it was a futile hope- that once he’d walked away he’d be done with his family. But maybe family, like blood never changes its nature. Maybe it was foolish to think that only your trauma would hover like a black cloud and not- not this. 

Yoongi knows the only greater liability than a liar is someone who doesn’t want to work for you. Yoongi and Moonbyul had that tacit agreement back then at least, that the events of last winter had firmly severed him from any responsibility that he had to the pack. 

He wonders what changed.

By the time that you wake from the scene, the pack has come back from the ocean all salt sweet and freckly regardless of Jin’s protests for his poor pups’ cheeks. But the teasing and hassling is all in good fun, their bodies are sun-kissed and relaxed by the cool water, almost languid from sticky sea salt as they drag each other by the pair into a shower. Jin hates the feeling of ocean salt in the nest. 

You woke from the scene feeling all clean and washed down too. Grooming- they tell you. Jin fell into a little bit of a frenzy after you fell asleep. The idea that the pack omega rubbed you down so thoroughly and in such an intimate place, but did it gentle enough that you didn’t wake makes you hot all over. It makes Jin’s hand burn where is presses against the small of your back, herding you towards the kitchen for some snacks when you’re still half asleep. 

The other pups are likewise sleepy, and clingy when it comes to your reappearance. “Ah I wish you would have come with us today we had so much fun” they prattle on about what they did, the funniest moment of the day when Jimin got almost knocked over by a wave how Hobi practically walked for so long that they thought he might have gotten lost. each of them dragging you in for a sniff and a surprised happy noise. You know you smell good without them having to say it- that you smell claimed by the pack alpha and omega. 

Theirs’s truly- for the first time maybe.

Tae immediately goes into all the reasons why she could never and would never hurt herself.

(20 years prior, Jimin)

The sun is burning much too hot for the end of September- although the children in the schoolyard would never think to comment on it. Too busy chasing after kickballs like small brightly color planets and shouting ‘tag you’re it!” as loud as they can. Every inch of happiness accompanied by little feet pattering across the parking lot like the first fallen leaves of autumn. The cold hasn’t hit them yet. 

The woods wait at the edge of the playground, an impenetrable fortress of green. Full of spiky bushes and icky things. Here, where civilization is butted right up against the edge of the wilderness, safety is carefully cultivated within chain link fences. Anything to keep the fun in and the fear out.

Two children sit on the swings apart from all the rest. The chains are rusty and squeaky but no less loved. Jimin loves to watch the forest move. He loves to watch the trees blur like faraway monsters dancing, lifting their silvery leaves to the wind and showing their undersides.

Tae knows Jimin likes it so that’s where they always sit, side by side like this at recess.

Tae’s first day of girlhood looks something like this:

The kitchen is heavy with the scent of pancakes when Jimin and her walk into it hand in hand. The air so thick and sweet that Tae might believe it was just you making it smell that way. 

They bundle in at the counter, on the receiving end of love and breakfast in the form of Hobi’s pancakes and omega kisses. Jin pecks Tae on the cheek, and she can tell her presence was missed just but the way that Jungkook’s lips fit against her mouth- how much they both linger.

Having separate nests is always hard, but Tae can’t help but feel it was needed last night. Maybe she’ll need it tonight too, perhaps it’s best for everyone if she just takes her time with this. 

Warming them up to the idea of her being a girl gradually might be easier for everyone. She shouldn’t say anything- she shouldn’t be obtrusive with her presence. She immediately decides that if anyone uses ‘he’ accidentally or calls her Taehyung today she won’t say a single thing.

Ideas like that are immediately thrown out the window when Namjoon wraps his arms around Tae’s shoulders and beams down at her, “How’s my favorite girl doing this morning?”

The Monday after Tae comes out, Hobi brings home a bouquet of ranunculus for her. A beautiful purple and white pink mess of little perfect ruffled blooms tied the classy way- with lavender ribbon and butcher paper. Hobi makes sure there isn’t a bloom out of place. 

He’s careful to open the front door gently, mindful of who might be sleeping inside. Everyone had gotten the picture from Yoongi in the group chat earlier; you and Tae curled up on the living room couch, a small nest around you. Tae’s already blond/leaning roots fluffing over the top of your head. Pink at the ends, orange in the middle, and bleached at the base. 

Pink dye always did struggle to stay put, same as happiness. 

Seeing a picture of her asleep and relaxed was quite honestly a relief compared to how they found her this morning.

One second you and Jungkook are curled together and the next you’re being lifted into Jin’s lap- his hands gentle but firm. Namjoon’s hands work similarly on jungkook, and both of them work in tandem to lift both of you off the bed and into their laps.

Jin doesn’t let you look at your partner in crime for long, directing your face up to his, forcing you to concentrate on him and only him.   

You feel like you want to curl up, hide beneath the blankets somewhere Jin can’t see you. His eyes are discerning and dark, even at your smallest- you wouldn’t be able to truly hide from him.

Namjoon has more than a little experience restraining a fussy omega. No matter how Jungkook squirms Namjoon will hold him. You shouldn’t be too surprised; the new information about your slick has him nervous. It’s his job as pack omega to make sure that your sex lives aren’t too affected by this and any interruption.  

So after your doctor’s appointment, Namjoon and Jin sat the rest of them down and told them what to expect. Any thoughts of keeping it private were quickly squashed; It shouldn’t be a secret between the four of you- the others need to know before you take that step with the other alphas.

If you decide to take that step with them. You know it’s only a matter of time with Jimin and Tae but you doubt you’ll ever get there with Hobi. You don’t need to keep this a secret from him. It’s embarrassing sure but that’s the least of your worries.  

It isn’t like Namjoon’s warning them, and yet- it sort of feels that way. 

Jimin had gone a little wolfish, his scent growing thick and musky. Whatever blush Tae had was quickly camouflaged in her powdery cheeks.
