Hannibal is what happens when you take a step back, see where your show wants to go, and embrace it wholeheartedly. Sherlock is what happens when you see where your show wants to go, and you fight it tooth and nail until you tear it apart.

OK NOW THAT WE ALL PROVED THAT THE LAST EPISODE OF SHERLOCK COMPLETELY TAINTED THE REST OF THE SHOW, LETS ALL MIGRATE TO THE HANNIBAL FANDOM AND TRY TO GET THAT SHOW BACK ON THE AIR!

C’mon, ladies and gentlefolk! Spend your time on a show that deserves it and relies on it’s fanbase as much as we rely on it! Spend your time on a show that upgrades it’s female characters from the source it was based off of instead of downgrade it. Spend your time on a show that builds chemistry between characters that works on so many levels and doesn’t stab us in the back. Spend your time on a show that has a LESBIAN POWER COUPLE! The creators have pretty much stated that they’d be all for putting the show back on air so lets go save some gay cannibals while we search for a new Sherlock that doesn’t consist of missed opportunities.

how do you even explain being obsessed with a cannibal. like, yeah rips people apart with his teeth and eats them. he gaslights, gatekeeps, girlbosses, AND manipulates mansplains and malewifes. even if you erase the cannibalism he is literally the worst doctor. medical malpractice is his forte. he let a man nearly die from encephalitis, gutted him and slaughtered their weird surrogate daughter in front of him. he’s evil and crazy and gay. he’s baby tho 🥰💗✨

no, that’s actually a very common misconception! it’s actually perfectly fine to be homophobic if you’re Jack Crawford!

people who don’t like s3 of hannibal confuse me (yes there are those people), because whilst the other seasons have as much, if not more humour than you’d expect a grisly crime procedural that’s went a little off the rails to have, season three is PEAK humour. it’s not even trying to keep up the facade that was the pretentious crime procedural. It’s *literally* a gay cannibal show by this point. You have Will, swinging from wanting to have nothing to do with / gut Hannibal, and then BAM 💥 as soon as Willoughy finds out that Hannibal has the Feels™️ for him he goes all “ALRIGHTY let’s fake-fake-break my boyfriend out of prison.” AND THE FUNNIEST PART??? JACK!!!! THE HEAD OF THE FBI’S BEHAVIORUAL SCIENCE UNIT!!! A MAN WHO HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TO BE VERY INTELLIGENT, A MAN WITH A DEGREE, just goes “Okay then Will, whatever you want 🥰”

I absolutely love Katherine Isabelle’s portrayal of Margot Verger in the Hannibal tv show, I do. However, I recently read “Hannibal” by Thomas Harris. In the book, Margot was a body builder who could have twisted me into a pretzel if she had wanted to. Throughout the book, Margot cracks walnuts with her bare hands.

She also developed a friendship with Barney, where the two actually became workout buddies. The camaraderie and understanding between the two of them is beautiful. It’s also something that straight and queer folk should strive toward.

I read an article written by Michael Kennedy on Screen Rant, which provides a wonderful explanation for why Bryan Fuller changed Margot’s character in the show adaptation.

In the book, Harris suggests that Margot “turned” lesbian, struggled with her gender identity, and abused testosterone because of the horrible atrocities Mason committed against her. Fuller didn’t want to suggest any of these things, because his interpretation of Margot was that she was born queer. He wanted to show that being queer is a natural occurrence that people are born into.

My only complaint is that Margot didn’t get to crack Mason like a walnut in the book nor in the tv show. That would’ve been a sight to behold for all Fannibals! Mason Verger is the most universally despised character in the Hannibal universe and rightfully so.

Lana Del Rey and Hannigram complement each other.
