Knowing what we know now about Vecna, you HAVE to admit that Billy was an absolute badass for looking this thing dead in the eye and going FACE TO FACE with it. He must've been so scared, and Vecna called him weak and fragile. But that's Henry's ego talking. He put down El too when she refused to join him. Billy was powerful in this moment. With a little help from El, he was able to break Vecna's mind control and stand up to him. A measly human, with LITERALLY NO IDEA of what exactly he was facing. (Eddie and Robin were still brought into the fold and had an idea of what was going on.)

And for that, I say rock on Billy Hargrove. You're a hero too. You saved lives too.

I literally love this post and im gonna piggyback off of it because its so good. Literally almost if not EVERY single 80s rock band has a pretty big problematic past, like give mötley crüe for example. They made a memoir about all the shitty stuff they've done in the past and how they've grown and still are growing as people. I'm a fan of them, but does that mean I condone anything they did in their past that was problematic absolutely not. If you expected to see the type of music Eddie and Billy were into, then you should expect that some if not all of the artists aren't the best people on the planet. Eddie and Billy aren't just an aesthetic they're characters, and music is one way you can get to know them and feel closer but you need to accept that ALOT of the people they would have adored or idolized weren't good people. I mean almost everyone in Hollywood can be problematic if you dig deep enough but does that stop them from making mistakes and learning from them. Most artists from the 80s were teenagers when they started aswell, is that an excuse for the bad stuff no it's not. But they were people that could be relatable to others in ways that might not be for other people. You don't have to do research on the band to like the music. I've been listening to 80s heavy metal/rock since I was a literal child. I'm a fan of many artists and bands, do I know a lot of the bad stuff they've dine, yes I do, but I do not condone it nor excuse it. I'm proud of the good people they've become or are trying to be, along with love their music.

Just wait til people find more bands from the patches on eddies vest and listen to them and start trying to cancel them🙄

they’re a rock band from the 80s what did you expect? rock music was dark and it was purposefully pushing the boundaries and it was pissing people off on purpose and it was being the ‘evil’ that the rest of the world thought they were. i’m not saying the shit they did is okay but what did you expect?

just look at the people in st who like metallica. the lonely neglected guy and abused angry teenage boy. you really thought metallica was gonna be sunshine and rainbows when those two fuckers liked them?

but then again these are the st fans who can’t even understand billy was being abused so idk what to tell them.
