Unconscious (Extended Version) by The Bleak Engineers

Unconscious (Extended Version) by The Bleak Engineers “Unconscious” is the song that resonated in many souls.  The main track on Aquamarine Blue Marble-Transparent Vinyl is accompanied by 5 more new musical revelations: the fresh compositions, which will be the new hits and the mysterious instrumentals in their trademark gloomy electronic no wave sound. Happy Bandcamp Friday!

Just treated myself to Remnants of the Vessel, by Faetooth, and Call down the Sun, by Konvent, two of my favourite albums from 2022, and two amazing (but very different) doom metal albums (hoping to talk more about them soon). Honestly, if that sounds like it's remotely within your musical wheelhouse, they are both well worth a look!

Happy Bandcamp Friday!

Just treated myself to Of Valleys and Mountains, by Pull Down The Sun, and the entire Diplodocus back catalogue.

Happy Bandcamp Friday!

Of Valleys and Mountains is great slice of Aotearoan metal from way back in 2020, though I only discovered Pull Down the Sun in 2021 and listened to the album in 2022. The band probably sits somewhere in the realms of post-metal, and the album is delightfully heavy, and has a real groove to it. Definitely one of my new favourites :)

Happy Bandcamp Friday!

Diplodocus, on the other hand, was much more of an impulse buy, in fact I only heard them for the first time yesterday. It's dungeon synth, by way of dinosaurs. So, dino synth. :D

It's heavy synth ambient music with shades of DIY black metal. Feels like this is going to get a lot of rotation when I'm playing prehistoric-themed tabletop games. It's honestly kinda delightful.

friends, foes, gays and gamers.... if youuuuu can believe it, it's a bandcamp friday once again!

which gives me a good excuse to post my 2021 album bittersweet!! a tour de force of breakbeats, saw waves, vocaloids (GUMI, specifically), autotune, and homosexual melodrama, packaged up into 11 silly little tracks. it's got funky synths! it's got two of the sickest guitar solos known to man! it's got paisley pudge? rateyourmusic calls it "Indietronica" and "Digital Fusion", apparently!

in all sincerity, this album was a labor of love for me, made after a four year long case of creative burnout nearly destroyed my ability to even think about making music. in a lot of ways, this album was a mad dash to finally cut that baggage free and prove that, in spite of everything, i could just make shit again. it wasn't easy, and yeah this album has rough edges, but i am unbelievably proud of what i have to show for that effort.

so whether it's on a bandcamp friday or any other day, if you give this music of mine a listen, i wanna sincerely thank you. hopefully it can inspire the same sort of creative joy in y'all that making it did for me! ❤️💚
