Thanks so much for your advice! I’ve only been drawing since October 2023, so I am trying to see where to grow as an artist.
My main area of growth is that I’m trying to make the sketches look more alive and expressive, and less stagnant.
This is roughly 5 years of progress
I'll keep this short, don't give up on something just because you're "not good at it" stick with it

Ref sheet Comparison of my Angel character Artemis. First Ref sheet was done in Nov 2021, he had no jawline. Whenever I would make a drawing of him it would always feel wrong to me or I just didn’t like it in general and I wouldn’t finish the drawing. I never realized how long I actually drew my character’s necks before but I see that now and I laugh every time. The second one was done in May 2022, I finally ended up giving him a jawline and I felt so much better about drawing him. I also ended up changing his hoodie design as I felt his old one was too basic looking. I learned how to draw necks and bodies better so he’s not as skinny as he used to be. These ref sheets are still kinda old as it’s already 2023, but I’m still proud of myself because they show how much progress I made in 7 months. Of course my art style is different now so he would look very different if I drew him again. But again as I said, it still makes me proud of myself.

Yep! I introduce to you my old gravity falls art from several months ago from before I even joined the fandom and just thought these two kids looked cool enough to draw. I’m pretty proud of how far I’ve come!
All of your poses and line art look copy-pasted so I'd bet money the tracer is actually you tbh I hate proshitters too but come on no need to lie just call them a pedo like they are instead of lying
i’m not even going to make any sort of joke about this, this has genuinely and deeply made me upset.
i make all of my art genuinely, if i do trace my own art it is for sketches, doodles, and abstract backgrounds. again, it is all my own. let me show you some of my art progress over the years, and look at me again and tell me i haven’t genuinely progressed or made any of this.
This is one art piece of mine from every month February 2023 to July 2024, with a work in progress at the end.

I decided to complete the challenge by redrawing my old work. Summer 2023/Winter 2024
I'm taking a break from drawing Wally so I decided to try and draw some of the other welcome home characters, the left is my most recent and the right is from Jan 31 on this year from my WH FNAF AU
I'm really proud with my progress in drawing him :D
I am a few days late, but Tobi and Jenny are officially one year old now! It's hard to believe I first created them a year ago already lol XD
This piece is also my first time practicing rendering. It's a little messy, but I don't think it's too bad for my first time
Jenny also got a redesign, so once I finish the full body for her new design I'll post it next to her old one :D
I'm really proud of how my style has changed in only a year!
On the left is the first drawing I made of Thea and Tommy, and on the right is my new style.
I think they look a lot better now than when I first drew them :D

I am not used to drawing muscular men, so this is my first time learning this kind of male anatomy! I am really proud of this WIP (even though he is missing an arm...and his hair 😅)
