Kermit couldn't get paid enough from Muppets Most wanted flim, The 2015 Series, and Muppets Mayhem. Because of Constantine liquefying all of Kermit and Piggy's assets, Being Bankrupt and The "Mouse" not having no more Movie and TV Show ideas for Kermit. He is left with putting the remaining Muppets that don't have a place to go in an Old Inn that Scooter's Parents used to Own.
Most of the Cast use this Inn as a Second home cause a good chunk of the Cast Still has Money , but the remaining cast of The Muppets that relay on Kermit for income has to stay at The Inn for their homes until Kermit can think of something better
The Inn has 3 floors, separated by two buildings , and one small Offices has been made into Kermit and Miss Piggy's House. ( no matter how poor they get Piggy will always live in luxury)

I had no clue where this was going at times. There was a moment where The Pink Opaque was a Candle Cove situation, but boy was I wrong.
The flashbacks to his childhood in the show was so wild. Owen screaming that he’s not safe, and that his dad isn’t his dad. Then just after puking up TV static was horrifying.
The underlying trans themes are absolutely crushing. When Maddy came back I thought her question would be about her transitioning. And the parallels of how moving away and being yourself will save you, while staying and hiding yourself will kill you. Somehow, it was worse.
Having Owen be in a dress, brought me so much joy and sadness. He looked so happy, he never looked that happy for the rest of the movie. At the end saying how he has a family now, and how much he loves them, the way he says it sounds so sad. Like he had to settle and accept that he will not be himself.
The constant battle between “There is still time” to “You are running out of time” is horrible.
The colors that are used are perfect. The mix of pink and purple with the contrast of blue and green. Pink and purple were the over all colors used, especially when the show comes on. Almost like that this is where Owen is realizing that he may be trans. And blue/green when rejecting it. That all he can be, and all he knows how to be is a man.
This movie is easily one of the best movies I’ve watched this year, if ever. And it’s definitely the most impactful.
There is easily stuff I missed, or just didn’t mention. PLEASE go look at other posts, because they show phenomenal foreshadowing in the movie along with the story telling.

i saw the tv glow is officially one of my favorite movies HERE'S MY ANALYSIS.... OF COLOR!!!!! (spoilers)
okay so obviously it's a metaphor for being trans, yearning yet being so afraid to look inside yourself and change your life to be who you truly are duh
BUT.... I haven't seen anyone talk about the way colors are used, specifically pink and blue. Pink represents femininity/ acceptance of self or owen getting closer to the truth, the show is literally called the PINK opaque, the movie starts with a pink glow on his face ,he has a pink sleeping bag, he's wearing a pink sweater when asking maddy if he can sleepover isabelle's magic dress that owen wears, the markings on the back of their necks etc.
but blue is the denial of self, and his wardrobe for most of the movie is blue, the luna juice is blue, his room is blue THE HOUSE is blue, the cotton candy, after maddy disappears he's at this closed inflatable party place and it's all blue, there's a blue balloon floating in front of him, the happy birthday scene where he starts screaming the room is overwhelmingly blue in fact every work uniform he has is BLUE except for at the end when he cuts himself open it's a button up with blue pink and black splotches.
I don't think this has to be said but it's obviously the girl = pink and boy = blue thing to really show that's it's about being trans
To contrast this maddys wardrobe is mostly greys, blacks and whites this could show she's sure of herself.
edit : maddy cuts her hair after she comes back after she realizes she's tara to be shorter.. like tara's.
Id also like to point out the color scheme of the parachute, he's wearing blue in this. the parachute is also parallel the planetarium, a structure inside a structure, a temporary illusion like the midnight realm they're trapped in.
edit: wherever owen works its places that are active distractions and temporary illusions as well, the movie theater, party places, arcades all bright fun places filled with distractions to make you forget the outside world
