Don't get stuck in a loop of doing something that you think should be fun when it isn't! You can put it down for a bit! Maybe that's the very thing that will make it fun again later!

Honestly, Georgie is right about everything in magnus archives and any fans who give her shit for not constantly helping John are wrong in my opinion.

John repeatedly by everyone and the show itself, is stated to be self destructive in his attempts to fix things. He continuously engages with and thrives off using the powers of the eye and then has to deal with the fact that doing so will start hurting innocent people. He constantly makes himself out to be the one who takes the fall and suffers through everything despite all the people around him trying to help and doing what they can.

Ultimately Georgie calls the situation for what it is, realizes John has no interest in improving himself or seeking help and washes her hands of the situation. She won't assist or engage with his self destructive habits and won't set herself on fire to keep him warm. Consistently Georgie has been shown to be someone who will help her friends and do what she can for them, but she's also mature and aware enough to recognize when what she can do won't be enough. When the person she's trying to help is digging their feet in and squandering what she offers she's not going to force feed it to them.

It shows the difference between her and Martin. Martin is someone willing to destroy himself to help people he loves. He and John are both willing to break themselves apart, not acknowledging that in doing do they could hurt those around them or make things worse.

People want to fault Georgie for giving up on John but i won't, it's not her job to keep him healthy or baby him. She's her own person who is doing the best she can and putting her effort into people who show a want to be better.
