i love all the acting in dead boy detectives so much, but the scene in ep8 where crystal is calling out to lilith and screams, "this witch, she took your gift and then she killed hundreds of little girls to stay young! who gets justice for them?" literal chills.
Crystal "yes i hate edwin, i think hes so annoying, i want to punch him in the face but hes also one of my best friends and hes just gonna have to deal with it whether he likes it or not (he does)" Palace Von Hoverkraft
I'm so mad we didn't get to see this fight. I wanted to see her beat his ass. That's where it felt like it was going
episode three is hard to watch because of. you know. the axe murder. but I will always cheer for edwin and crystal finally figuring out how to work together!! him asking her to explain the vhs tape. he holds the flashlight for her. he pulls her out of the way of the misery wraith (by fully wrapping his arms around her and carrying her out of the room, no less). she finally begins to understand his relationship with intelligence, and how he uses it to protect himself, much better. then he reassures her that david was lying about her being an asshole even though he has no way to verify it. I love them DEARLY. bitch4bitch friendship development fr
Obsessed with their commitment to having Monty perched up in his usual bird spot
Jayden Revri ships charles and edwin like micheal sheen ships aziraphale and crowley
the fact that Edwin lived in the 1900s is a fantastic source of comedic potential. he's just constantly saying things that he doesn't realise are completely batshit insane, and the others are just left utterly floored.
like they're all talking and Crystal mentions she's tried cocaine once on a wild night out, and Edwin, who used to get that shit medically prescribed at the drop of a hat is like ??? okay?? hope you felt better, it always used to help me when I had a cold too :) charles why are you laughing?
this badge isn't for everyone
the lesson you get from the flashbacks of edwin and charles' deaths is that hate crimes are real and the suffering they cause had been getting overlooked for over a century.
that there's still people dying like that somewhere, and there's people, young people, that are going to die believing that they didn't matter.
i think its kind of weird that in the shows poster charles and edwin are so crisp but nikocand crystal blend into the background and seem more stereotypically ghostly
dont know if it means anything just thought it was odd, love the poster tho
two pretty best friends
Up to the light, with his Eurydice;
I watch a show, I come here, I silently reblog every post I find about it, life is good

niko is like a wide eyed baby deer i love her more than words
merlin is such a compelling character because he's so contradictory. he's a man of mystery who's really bad at lying. you can tell he's lying about something, but his behavior is so odd no one can guess what he could possibly be lying about. basically, every character looks at him and goes 'you're clearly hiding something but im not really sure if I want to get into all that right now.' this is why he's able to tell everyone he's a sorcerer in episode three and no one believes him.
I’m so intrigued by the way shows about ghosts address abuse & trauma.
The scene in the haunted house where the family is murdered over and over.. Charles being reminded of his own abuse. Charles having a strong emotional response to it and getting physically stuck in the loop. That’s what trauma is.
Trauma, is abuse happening to you, over and over. Trauma, is the loop. Trauma, is you getting stuck in the loop when it had nothing to do with you. Trauma, is you becoming the ghost. Trauma, isn’t the haunted house itself. Trauma, is you haunting your own house until you break the loop yourself.
That’s why even Hell was written in the series this way, to relive death over and over. That’s why David keeps visiting Crystal to have the same conversation, over and over. No matter how many times she asks him to leave her alone.
Edwin and Charles and Crystal find themselves stuck in different loops. The only way to ever find their way out of the loop is by helping each other.
Trauma is a living hell. Only a trusted friend would walk into your hell to bring you out.
Source: not needed its canon !!

That Madison Beer meme from twitter
hot.
the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
mike ghosts is really the ideal man like his idea of a good time is eating a trifle and falling asleep in bed his first instinct to fight robbers was to put on a suit of armour he can do throat bass his emotional stability relies on his wife and some guy called obi he has great taste in huge dead stuffed bears hes embarrassed enough to wear swim trunks in the shower cos some dead person is definitely spying on him but he'll run straight through the entire house cock and balls swinging around without a second thought he loves a cottage pie hes always gotta be in control but hes kind of bad at it he Will let a vicar be late for a wedding he is hosting because the vicar wanted to go sledding he is 90% high strung anxiety 10% impulsivity and he is always always down to clown i absolutely love him
