New chapter out!
It was unusual for Toji be at home instead of... literally anywhere else. But his silver tongued benefactor was surprisingly mum after the duo's last fight. No witty jests. No dumb ass assignments. Homelife was actually peaceful. If Toji had to choose between Satoru Gojos incessant blathering about penis jokes over 24/7 surveillance... he'd knew which one he'd choose.
So after showering off his morning workout, he plopped on his living room couch, coke in hand, listening to the rain fall outside.
"Fushiguroooo! You're not busy are you?"
He thought anyway.
To say toji's blood boiled hearing Satoru's voice blaring over his intercom speaker, shattering the tranquility of his abode would be a goddamn understatement. Clearly, this asshole can read minds, either that or he saw Toji enjoying himself for too damn long and decided it was time to act.
Wordlessly, he got up and muted the intercom fastened to his wall, hoping his benefactor would get the hint. But before he could make it back to the couch, his phone rang, "Toji, i can literally see your chiseled ass on camera, stupid."
He could hang up, he can still enjoy himself if he hangs up now…
"Fushiguro if you hang up, I'm blowing up your phone with BBC." Gojo quipped, "And no, I'm m not talking about british broadcasting either."
Toji cursed. No way 6 eyes would allow him the luxury of peace until he dealt with whatever whimsical need his pretty boy head desired.
"Hullooooo?!"
"What the fuck do you want?!" Toji growled.
There's a pregnant pause. "put your dick away, I'll be there in 5" he says and hangs up.

Kimetsu No Yaiba: Hashira Training Arc E4
All right more trash takes from me on jjks culling game. So Ive found that people who read culling game weekly as it was released enjoy it alot more than people like me reading it in chunks (bc we got tired of being spoiled)
And my initial thoughts are pretty bland. Its extremely bloated with unnecessary/ flat characters, fights and lore that dont make much sense unless gege plans on doing a heian era prequel (which he should.)
BUT
It also beats shibuya in high octane fights and hype Which is important for a battle shounen (if a shounen fails at everything else it cannot be fights so kudos.) and for every “miss” character there were alot of hit characters too, that I liked.
But overall i didnt like it more than shibuya bc from a writing standpoint it flops and unfortunately im at a point in my anime “career” where story does have to hold water (not be air tight but cant leave a lot on the table).
But i will also say, in general, i prefer a meh plot with good characters over a good plot w meh characters… which makes culling game especially frustrating for me because i cant tell which one it is… its right down the middle, some parts were a straight SNOOZE fest while others were so hype i got mad it was over!
Maybe I may need to re-read the arc again

That makes about 6 chapters this month across 3 stories 😰 whewww
Here’s an excerpt:
As sunset gave way to night, the moon hung low casting a silvery glow over the training grounds where Iguro arrived to face Rengoku. The last several days had been a blur; A maelstrom of memories, emotions and stress all mixed together. Obanai's nights had been so restless, that no matter how much shut-eye he received he still felt tired. He knew why. Knew what he had to do. He had to set things right. So when he heard the flame pillar was training nearby from some kakushi, he set forth to talk.
Rengoku stood in the center of the clearing, unmoving, as if he'd known all along iguro would come. His gaze was steely; his resolve firm, but before Iguro could speak, Rengoku did first. "I'm sorry," he said, catching Iguro completely off guard. "As someone who should have been your brother, my behavior was unbecoming of a pillar and as a man." Iguro almost shook his head in disbelief. He forgave him? Just like that?
Rengoku's admission of fault and his unexpected forgiveness left Iguro reeling, struggling to comprehend. "What're you saying?" He asked brows furrowed deeply in confusion, "I was the one in the wrong. I acted selfishly-"
Rengoku shook his head. "Do you resent me, Iguro?" His words were direct, cutting through the air with a sincerity that demanded attention.
"No," he replied swiftly, causing a wry smile to tug at the corners of the flame pillar's lips.
"That's why. You only behaved the way you did because of my insipid actions," he said uncharacteristically mellow. "Besides, it's not the first time. Sanemi was very much the same."
"Sanemi?" Iguro's mind raced, trying to make sense of it. What does that mean? Obanai and Sanemi were good friends too, but he's never mentioned any issues about Rengoku.
Kyojuro chuckled softly, inviting Iguro to take a seat next to him. "Come, let me explain something to you."
Iguro followed, taking a seat offered as Kyojuro continued. "In truth, I almost sought you out first, but," he shook his head, as if telling himself not to digress, "Look, Iguro I wished to confess something." he began again, voice tinged with sadness, "Despite staring death in the face many times, i can honestly say nothing scares me more than committing to a woman." Iguro's eyes widened in disbelief, unable to fathom Rengoku's fear.
Rengoku shook his head too as if he knew how ridiculous he sounded. "Kanroji is your responsibility now; I leave her to you. Becausw you're brave, much braver than I."
The Serpent Hashira's stomach turned at that. "Why didn't you tell her?" He blurted quickly.
Rengoku smiled bittersweetly. "Because it was Mother's dying wish. I was born to protect those less fortunate and I will continue to fulfill my duty no matter what, that's why..."
It dawned on Iguro at the mention of his mother what he meant. Most, like Kocho, would assume he meant his duty as a hasira, but Iguro who had lived with him knew it was more than just that, "So...it's Shinjuro." He whispered as the pieces came together.
went to the science museum with the fam… and was pleasantly surprised by how much childrens stuff was there.
My son loved it! (And he kinda hates everything). And the best part was i left with the same amount of kods i areived with, husband included haha!
So I decided to post my thoughts from AO3 about JJK and how to correct the issues i saw in the next arc. Let me know what you all think.
rant:
I didnt like how gege built up the zenin clan only to throw them away as a plot device for maki's development. I thought the story would take a different turn when megumi was named heir but it felt rushed and extremely contrived, beginning immediately with the round table decision to KILL megumi. I cannot understand why anyone backed this decision. Why would a family that values power, tradition, prestige and inherited techniques so much not just have a duel to decide the leader?
1) It retcons everything we know about the Zenin including Toji's logic for giving megumi away. He knew if megumi had a good technique the family would invest in his development… turned out megumi didn't just have a "good" technique he had THE BEST technique! Toji' concern was never that theyd kill his som but that they'd turn megumi into a POS. Gojo explictly stated that hundreds of years ago a TS and 6E user killed each other in a mock-duel and the 2 families NEVER got over it. So the idea that the zenin would kill a TS user is completely out of the question. Even IF killing Megumi served Naoya, it didnt serve anyone else and goes against the zenins principles.
2)The TS literally puts the zenin on par (or higher) to satoru gojo in terms of strength. With gojo sealed The zenin clan would jet-propel to no1 in jujutsu society, which is what the family WANTS, power and prestige.
3) Megumi canonically had a lot of supporters, so this goes back to my first point that the blowback of killing him wouldve caused mass, internal strife.
4) Maki's massacre. (Ugh...)
So my headcannon is this:
Naoya gets told he isn't gonna be heir and calls the elders to the round table. Since a large portion of the family want megumi as head, naoya issues a challenge/duel on the condition that if naoya wins, megumi becomes an official zenin member but forfeits all rights to ever become clan head (doesnt matter if its on paper or binding vow, point is megumi won't be head). This would enable naoya to stay at the helm, while also boosting the zenins prestige because they'd have the TS under their control. Having a duel would also showcase naoya's talents so he doesnt come off a glass cannon like he did when maki flattens him later to show HER overwhelming strength. This plan makes infinitely more sense to me than what the manga did because it benefits EVERYBODY. Maki wants this. Naoya wants this. And so does the entire clan, because megumi will be a zenin regardless of who wins. It also put megumi in an active role, instead of passive one.
With this simple change, we can explore the characters introduced in the hei unit, tojis backstory/life, mai and makis sisterly bond, megumis leadership acumen, And ofc this would be the perfect time for naoya to reveal the truth about toji: That Satoru gojo is the one who killed him and thats why megumj and tsumiki were alone (in an attempt to turn megumi against satoru).
This change also benefits Maki's character too because after megumi loses, she tells him not to worry because he has enough supporters to drive a split in the clan, so while he can't be head of the zenin he can be head of his OWN faction. (remember this was makis ultimate goal, to have a safe space for mai, thats why she wanted megumi as head in the first place) now I'm skipping details, but ogi catches wind of maki's coup to start a civil war within the clan and throws her in the pits for it (a MUCH better reason to kill her than taking curse tools. I mean maki has been taking curse tools for years and nobody cared!) She becomes toji 2.0 and the story continues along the lines of the canon. Maki still gets her power boost and her revenge on NAOYA's supporters instead of the entire clan so she doesnt come off as a psychopath, and megumi learns the truth. There is even room for potential redemption for naoya should megumi prevent Maki from killing him which eliminates the need for curse naoya (a colossal waste of time)
What do you all think?
Thank you @blankwashed and everyone who got me to 5 reblogs!
New chapter of “His Heart beats…” is out!
(Along with my pointless rant im sure nobody cares about)
Half of chapter 6 is reader/toji but a significant part of chapter 6 is also reader/naoya sincw i have plans for this character as well.
Fr.
I'm gonna say it.
It's unhinged to assume that someone's taste in fiction equates to what they believe is moral or good, or is something they want to see or experience in real life.
That is a bonkers assumption to make.
I'm tired of humoring people with long arguments about it when the simple fact is it is a totally fucking absurd reach to accuse someone who enjoys something in fiction of being in favor of it in real life.
I'm tired of pretending like this is a legitimate position to hold-- that they should be afraid of fiction's dire influence on a reader's moral decay or that it's a sign of what the author secretly wants for realsies in real life.
