Heeey everyone… *slowly slinks into view* Sorry I’ve been MIA for a bit. The summers get crazy hectic for me and my family. I’ve been meaning to post content but I’ve been basically go go go from the moment I get up to the moment I get to either the hotel/b&b/family members house.

I’ve got several more chapters of The Yellow Rose written and some side stories as well. I just haven’t had the time to edit and perfect them before posting.

What I’m thinking of doing is putting The Yellow Rose on a longer hiatus (don’t panic, only for a bit) and we may be strictly shorts for the next little while. I’ve got my son’s birthday coming up and we’re in the middle of fishing season and then hunting season comes next. It’s basically how we provide meat for our family and close relatives, so this is a very important season.

But I promise you, The Yellow Rose isn’t going away, in fact I made myself cry writing a few things both out of sorrow and out of happiness.

I look forward to all of y’all reading it! Also I would just like to réinvite people to the asks. You can ask the characters just about anything and they will respond! Curious about someone’s feelings? Ask away! This includes for the Short Stories as well. I know I haven’t explained how our dear Scotty broke his leg yet so you can always ask about that.

Does that mean the timeline is a bit nuts? Ummm yeah. Most of the shorts either take place after The Yellow Rose or before. Weird I know. But these are pieces that don’t necessarily fit in the main story perfectly. But the shorts won’t spoil the main story. So feel free to ask! Camille has been bouncing off the walls waiting with anticipation and any much longer and she might break something.

Camille: I would not!

Uh huh… So anyway, please don’t be angry with me, I’m only one person and I’m like mom/wife/teacher/farmer/author/EMT/huntress all rolled into one. Im surprised my arms haven’t fallen off yet.

Headcanon’s Part 3!!!!!! Gordon x Camille (OC)

💙 Gordon likes to sing in the shower. Camille once walked in on him before they were an item. He sings beautifully and she found herself unable to leave.

- Was she tempted to take a peek? Yes. Did she want to live to see another day? Also yes. So she snuck out quietly.

- He still doesn’t know.

💜 Camille has shortwoman syndrome and it’s gotten her in trouble before with bigger engines from the mainland and diesel. More than once Gordon has had to wheesh steam or stand nearby to make sure others back off.

💙 When they snuggle on the couch under a blanket, Gordon is almost always holding her abdomen, his arm pulling her into him. When she’s ready to sleep, she curls into his neck.

💜 Camille’s favorite non-facial part of Gordon’s body is his butt and biceps. She calls them Gordon’s B&B.

-She has slapped his butt in public before, when he was getting ready to shift and take the express, and ran away laughing maniacally knowing he couldn’t come after her.

💙 Gordon’s favorite movies are westerns and action/adventure and so are Camille’s. It was a pleasant surprise for both of them.

💜 Camille loves playing scary games and forces Gordon to watch

💙 Gordon loves outdoor activities hiking, running, etc. Camille is not a sporty person but follows along anyway.

💜 When Gordon wanted to make his relationship permanent with Camille, he asked each of her brothers for her hand. Three of them put him through a task with them to see just how the engine would hold up. One brother took him fishing, another hunting, and one took him out to eat and basically interrogated him. The last was like “she’s a grown woman and can make her own decisions”

💙 They love doing escape rooms with Flying Scotsman, James, and Edward

💜 During Scot’s less busy season the three of them get together and play board and card games

💙 Camille loves to read outloud to Gordon. On days where he has to stay out late for holidays he stays in his engine form and she comes out and lays on his buffer and reads to him.

💜 She loves those nights where he has to stay in the sheds because she likes to come out and tease him. Sometimes she showers him with kisses, other times she tickles him and teases him with nibbles. She loves leaving him breathless and laughing, especially from kisses. He repays her tenfold when he gets back to Tidmouth that night, usually waking her up.

I personally haven’t added a yuri couple in my writing but that’s because I have difficulty writing yuri for some odd reason 🤷🏽‍♀️ Otherwise, here I am 😂

Camille: *trots the little horse around and taps it to baby Gordon’s cheeks* Kissies!

Big Gordon: She wants one of her…er… our own. It’s just not possible for our species. *watching the two* I suppose she’s eager to give whatever affection she can. I mean, she helped Farmer McColl with a baby goat once and brought it into the manor sir. *sighs*

Camille: Do you think big Gordy needs a horse kissie too? He’s so grumpy.

Big Gordon: 😑

Camille: Sir Topham Hatt, Lady Hatt! I’m Camille and I’m an engine on an… let’s say alternate railway in an alternate world. Anyway! I just wanted to offer my babysitting abilities to y’all if I can. *looks at baby Gordon* He’s the absolute cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Gordon: Excuse me? I’m right here Camille.

Camille: *all smiles at the baby*

Gordon: *a bit put out for being ignored for an infant version of himself*
