Song #196

Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie

It was released in 1980 in his album Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)

Fun fact: the lyrics act as a sequel to Bowie's hit "Space Oddity" which ends with Major Tom alone floating out in space. Eleven years after liftoff, Ground Control receives a message from Major Tom, who has succumbed to drug addiction and increased paranoia following his abandonment to space: "Strung out in heaven's high / hitting an all-time low."

Song #175

Treehouse by Alex G

It was released January 17, 2011

Fun Fact: The song is about a person who has someone that’s really special to them, However, it does seem to be a little dark when they say “I don’t think I’m ever gonna let you leave.” This does show how someone would feel selfishness, trying to keep someone all to themselves and only spending time with them (hence the, being in a treehouse and only allowing the person they want to stay in it). The song frames this in a really innocent and friendly way, as treehouses are usually associated with fun and childhood. It masks the darkness.

Song #188

Heartbreaker by Led Zeppelin

It was released in 1969 in their album Led Zeppelin II

Fun fact: In a 1998 interview with Guitar World, Page commented that the guitar solo was recorded in a different studio, thereby giving a different sound than the rest of the song. He added that this was the first recorded instance of his Gibson Les Paul/Marshall Stack combination.
