it's really only good when slow-cooked in a soup or stew or similar concoction but there's so much meat there that there's basically no way to make enough w/out having 700 bajillion pounds of soup. nobody wants that much soup. you THINK you want that much soup and then you get that much soup and you realize Ohhhh Shit I Don't Have Anywhere To Put This. guys we don't have freezers bffr.

Not my meme but figured I'd share for those about to ride out the storm
the thing is. the thing is..... the "you blew up my home inadvertently" backstory being "forced" on you..... is the point. it throws you for a loop. it makes you question how you affect the world around you. it makes you, y'know, think of the consequences of your actions.
"oh im just a courier" you once delivered a package that killed a whole-ass town, one that you helped thrive in the first place. you have so far spent the whole game altering the course of history for several factions and groups and gangs. you - at the end of the game - hold the future of the entire mojave in your hands. "im just a courier, i didn't know" yes. but your actions aren't inconsequential. the shadow you cast is long, and touches even those you don't know. what will you do about this, all your influence? will you excuse it away, or face the fallout? that is what ulysses is asking you. how will you answer?
absolutely insane about the grafitto you find in the fishing village in disco elysium that says "GLORY! TO THE GHOST OF US"
in the light of the failed revolution it just hits so hard
glory to our memory, because we might still be here but not for much longer, glory to the ones that come after us, glory to the times that follow because nothing can possibly get worse, it can only be glory
glory to the ghost of us
do you think tom waits would’ve been a gothamite in a different universe hit post
Happy Get-Shot-in-The-Head Day!
On this day in history, you will be shot in the head!

passing on the way of the twisted hairs can double as father and child bonding :)
Given how the location plays into Sweetjane's backstory, would you want a full Fallout game set in New Orleans/Louisiana? I know it's a very popular choice amongst fans for Fallout 5 but for me it would be super dependent on the writers - I don't trust Bethesda (or Obsidian, for that matter) to tastefully handle Voudoun.
I do and don't want a Fallout: New Orleans.
While it started for me with a literal vision of an opening scene similar to New Vegas that has a Louisiana style cemetary being panned over and "House of the Rising Sun" playing, I don't think such a culturally (and BIPoC) rich area such as New Orleans/Louisiana would be "done" correctly without hiring a cultural coordinator and a cultural sensitivity consultant. After seeing how they've treated indigenous people and even other PoC characters, I also don't think they'd tastefully be able to do justice for not only Voudoun but to things like Cajun culture beyond the accent and food. I (and Sweetjane) are also romani and that a plays into my feelings about a Fallout set in such an area. Just as Voudoun is often misrepresented, I don't want anyone but a Romani with Romanipen to touch anything dealing with romani culture. What I envision in a perfect Fallout: New Orleans is one that is BIPoC heavy and we all know how Bethesda, Obsidian and general fandom treat PoC characters.
I chose Louisiana for Sweetjane because it is majority French speaking (as French is one of my native languages) and has a large Romani community due to when French and Spanish sent their Romani slaves to their colonies. Sweetjane (as written by me) is first and foremost a Romani character written by an actual Romani person. I am not Voudoun and have done extensive reasearch to try and accurately portray the religion in the same way I want my culture to be represented.
this is how the fnv opening feels now
WHERE ARE Y'ALL??
Broke: Noel's Lament is a ballad and The Ballad of Jane Doe is a lament
Woke: They're called the opposite names because Jane and Noel had what the other most wanted. Noel wanted tragedy, Jane wanted a life she could remember
Please reblog for larger sample size :)
he’s just standing there…MENACINGLY
day 6 of fallout inktober: abominations
No citizens of any country are somehow inherently bad or evil because of their government. Full stop. That includes Russia citizens, Israeli citizens, Palestinian citizens, Chinese citizens, Iranian citizens, North Korean citizens, etc.
Everyone in this world is just living their lives, each with their own complex needs and desires and interests and emotions. They all have hobbies and friends and families and favorite foods. They all have their own motivations and varying political opinions and views on their governments. They all weigh the risks of standing out or speaking up and they all make their own decisions about that.
They all fear the same in times of danger. They all feel grief and pain and terror the same. They all love and hate and bleed the same.
They are people. They are no different from anyone else, they are not monsters or caricatures or nameless bodies in videos. Complexity and humanity are not exclusive to your country, to people like you.
fallout's: 'New Vegas!'
