I really want to apply to this zine, the themes are so up my alley. But this is the fourth or fifth time in a row, with me and I think a few other people asking, that the creators aren't providing critical information in an accessible format. I tried to use screen recognition with Voiceover to see what the images said and got jibberish. So many artists and writers who would like to join zine projects are disabled and are being shut out by this kind of thing. I don't know if I will even bother applying at this point, I feel very unwelcome by the continuous ignoring of accessibility needs (yes one or two posts had descriptions added days later in a reblog but it's been very inconsistant). When a project that is aiming to be inclusive does stuff like this that actively excludes people like me it's always such a punch to the gut and feels more unfair than projects that aren't focused on an under represented group.

Will artists be able to draw fairies from mythology and folklore? How about non-european inspiration? Will there be nsfw art in this zine? What type of writing will be included?
Apps open on the January 12th , 10 am AEDT, (Jan 11, 6pm EST for the US). And will close on the 19th of January, or once we reach 500 applications.
Someday I will learn self control and not eat all the bacon right after grilling it, I tell myself knowing I have never in my life been able to do that.
One thing that's vitally important to remember is that feeling ''weirded out'' is not a form of harm. It is a completely normal part of socializing. It is the feeling of encountering something unfamiliar. In order to be a kind person, you must learn to how to distinguish between "harmful" and "weird." And then you must accept the weird.
