This is going to sound like a hot take in the middle of a pandemic, but I’m going to speak it into being today mostly for myself-

You do not need to finish things that are not making you happy.

I just started watching the next season of a show I’ve been following, and I’m…really not into it. I do not need to finish watching the show. No one is grading me on this. I do not get a score. I am not going to fail Pandemic 101 because I left this thing that I was kinda looking forward to unwatched.

Started a book you’re not jiving with? You do not need to finish it. Take the bookmark out and put it back on the shelf. (I have done this a couple times now. It’s really nice.)

Craft project really not doing it for you? It’s okay, the Pinterest gods will not revoke your crafting card. Let it aside a while.

Trying a new workout routine that is only making you hate yourself more? It’s okay to change your mind and switch. (I spent the last fifteen minutes of yoga today in corpse pose. I was tired. This is okay.)
