The scene displayed in front of Zoro was foreign to him– your hair pulled back with a fuzzy headband, your face seemingly glowing from the various skincare products you had applied. He’s never paid much attention to his own hygiene and skincare, as evident by the week long showerless escapades.

Despite his grumbling, he did as you asked, feeling the water and cleanser wash away the grime of the day. When he turned to you, he saw a face mask in hand, the playful smile on your lips suggesting that he is not stopping at just face wash.

Zoro sat down on the closed toilet seat, his muscles tense with unease. You stood between his legs, and he watched as you worked with a quiet fascination, but it was hard to keep his cool when you were so close to him. 

Your touch was gentle as you spread the mask over his cheeks and forehead, taking care to avoid sensitive areas. The proximity sent his heart pounding, and Zoro was internally grateful for the mask, since right below it, his cheeks burned a fiery crimson that only you could manage to pull from him. He couldn’t help but steal glances at you every so often. From this angle, so close, you looked even more captivating, and every detail of your face seemed to be magnified.

He could point out every little detail– the curve of your lips, the sparkle in your eyes, the way your hair framed your face– and trust him, he has committed every detail to memory. Seeing you up close like this was as if he was seeing you for the first time– at least, that's what it felt like. Truly, it is moments like these that reveals just how Zoro obsessively adores you, much beyond infatuation.
