As much as I love Shade, I sort of came to dislike her clothes and general face design. Her eyes are really small and her face doesn't resemble any previous echidnas like Knuckles or Tikal (as in the longer muzzle and pointed nose). But her armored uniform is clunky and not really visually appealing to me.
Her bracelets are way too large and the gameplay shows her creating energy blades from it similar to Sally from Archie Sonic Reboot, but I cannot see her cannon bracelets doing that. Her boots are awkward in design and not very streamlined, especially compared to her fellow characters. Her game says something about her having a "Warp Belt" but there is no belt on her character. Her body actually makes me think more of a lizard than an armor, let alone armor on an Echidna.
What does make me think of her is the Phantom Rider outfit in Sonic IDW
Armor (including shoulder padding that I weirdly like a lot), clunky but still streamlined boots, gloves that look more like gauntlets, a Belt, etc. Just make it black and red/pink themed and it would fit her quite well.
But her outfit aside, I feel that Shade would be an interesting addition to the main cast if she ever got a chance to return.
Shade is one of my favorite Sonic characters, mostly in concept rather than execution as she was pretty bland in her first and only game. But the idea of a warrior leader with a cool armored suit and stealth skills combined with energy leeching blades is really cool.
Plus it adds leadership characters with tactical skills (not small team leaders like Amy or Vector). I think if Shade was her own character and well written or developed, she would've been a good fit for the "resistance leader" of Forces (and a cool addition to Team Dark, but that may just be me)
I personally don't think Amy will be in the 3rd movie. As much as I love her, I don't see where she could fit in and get enough screen time and character development that she deserves. Also this is a different take on SA2 events, she probably wouldn't have really fit in. If she were to come in to only give her famous speech, it wouldn't hit as hard because she wouldn't be as entwined in the whole story.
I feel that if there is a fourth movie, Metal Sonic (via Sonic's quill he gave Robotnik) and Amy would be a very good pick. Especially if they do a Sonic CD based story. Which, if I remember correctly, is their debut game and thus give Amy the attention and development she deserves. And Metal Sonic would be so cool on the big screen, I love him so much.
I'm a little more upset with the possibility of no Rouge, as this is a take on her debut game (and she's my favorite female sonic character, but that's just me)
Sonic Movie 3
As soon as the trailer popped up, I saw people immediately attack it for being Copaganda due to the fact Sonic and his friends have been asked by G.U.N to deal with Shadow.
Guys
Calm down.
This is the first trailer, of course they wouldn't be showing if G.U.N betrays Sonic and co or if its revealed that this version of G.U.N killed Maria. When we see our heroes interacting with Robotnik, we don't see any of G.U.N's influence at all. Possibly after a betrayal or after they learn the truth.
G.U.N are not above deceit, or has everyone forgotten the entire wedding situation that was caused entirely by G.U.N having an undercover agent to monitor the family.
Tom in a G.U.N outfit could be one of several things; he was given a "position" by G.U.N as part of sweetening the deal so he takes it as to get more info. He could be just wearing the uniform as to sneak around. Or perhaps something else I haven't thought of (if he really is a genuine G.U.N agent though, I am going to be upset).
As for Keanu Reeves as Shadow, we literally hear barely 3 sentences said by him, so we can't really judge him yet on his voice work. (As a personal thing, I do hope they have him be rather quiet. Makes his spoken lines more impactful, in my opinion.)
Last night I had the strangest dream
I often have strange dreams but they mostly consist of morbid visuals, terrifying ideations, reality warping weirdness, all covered with a layer of either blurred or highly saturated camera lens. Very nightmarish. Hardly any funny or even neutral dreams and certainly no child-like magical ones either.
This one was neither, it was a weirdly well animated crossover between TMNT and Sonic. In particular the TMNT that came out in 2012. There was no Sonic however, as it was called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Knuckles. Knuckles animated in the 2012 style combined with 06 model actually looked rather nice. I have no idea what the story was, what was actually going on, but all I know is that they were traversing a sewer somewhere with giant mutated eels that try to eat them and were as big as the sewer pipes they were in.
I am a Sonic fan, but the only TMNT media I have ever seen was the 2012 show because my siblings and father watched it religiously for a near 3 months straight before jumping to another show to hyperfixate on. I have no idea where the dream was heading or why I even dreamt it up in the first place. I would be interested in anyone writing a funny well written crossover though. Knuckles deserves some spotlight in crossover stuff.
There is this thought that business owners have the right to refuse service to anybody. But that’s not true.
If you won’t serve someone BECAUSE they have a service dog with them, that is against the law. Completely and totally illegal. This is because you are refusing access to someone because OF THEIR DISABILITY. This person would not need a service dog if not disabled and therefore is being DISCRIMINATED AGAINST solely because of their disability ( and there need to have a service dog with them).
There are laws. Anywhere the public is allowed, a person can bring a service dog. If your business allows the public inside then you cannot refuse entry to a service dog team based on “this is private property” because it’s not.
You can ask two questions:
1. Is this dog a service dog?
2. What tasks has it been trained to perform?
You are allowed to kick out a service dog team ONLY if they are not under control of the handler. This means using the bathroom inside, barking, lunging and growling. If a service dog is perfectly (or almost perfectly) behaved, then you have NO RIGHT to kick out the team.
Every employee should have training on service dogs and it’s unacceptable they don’t. Please don’t be a jerk and discriminate against someone who is disabled. Not only is it very illegal, it’s also a really crappy thing to do as a human being.
(Also ESA’s, Emotional Support Animals, have no rights to enter public areas unless ALL dogs are allowed)
This has been a PSA.
Welcome to Hellmart
The service dog community is in an uproar. Walmart has started selling service dogs vests in their physical stores and the marketing for the product is reckless. Walmart is one of the most dangerous stores you can take a service dog because employees are directly instructed not to interfere with fake service dogs.
Legally in the United States businesses are allowed to ask two questions to dogs coming in:
1. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?
2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
When employees are instructed not to interfere with ANY animal coming into their stores they are putting real service dogs at risk of being attacked (emotionally traumatized, physically maimed and sometimes killed).
This product they are selling is by a company called Paws & Pals
It is advertised as being a “Service Dog Jacket Support Harness” The product description says it comes with two side pocket sleeves to “Display their service registry certificate and tags.” The description also says it’s “Best for physical assistance & emotional support dogs – Also great for dogs with tactical and military experience” It is advertised as a “TRAINING VEST: Animal harnesses and vests are great for training regular, service, and working dogs alike – Designed for service animals but can be used for all dogs and puppies”
If you can’t tell how hazardous this marketing is let me spell it out for you:
It is clearly being marketed as a service dog jacket/vest/harness. It is not illegal to sell service dog gear. It is illegal to fake a service dog and depending on the state punishable by fines and jail time.
It is highly unethical to put this type of gear on a dog without proper research into if that dog is physically and mentally suitable for going into public. It is also highly unethical to put any gear on an animal without ensuring that gear is safe for them to wear and work in. This is advertised to the general public and gives the impression that it is safe to use for these purposes when in reality it is not.
Websites that advertise service dog registration in the United States are scams. There is no governing body that registers service dogs for the United States and the ADA clearly states they do not require registration. Most SD handlers do not have any certification/registration papers. It has been proven time after time that when people present these papers for their fake service dogs to businesses it causes these businesses to deny access to real SD handlers who do not have them.
This harness is being advertised as suitable for mobility assistance. This is extremely dangerous. This harness type is ABSOLUTELY NOT SUITABLE FOR MOBILITY TASKS and can cause very dangerous injuries (especially if that dog is untrained and has not been cleared by a vet to perform mobility tasks)
This marketing blurs the line between Service Dogs and Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). ESAs do not require public access training and thus do not have public access rights. It is not safe to bring an ESA into a non-pet friendly place (I think the recent airline changes are enough proof of how much damage that can cause)
This marketing blurs the lines between service dogs and dogs trained in personal protection work (aka chase & bite people). Real professional handlers of military/police/personal protection dogs would not risk the ethical and legal implications of bringing their dogs into stores under the guise of being a service dog. That leaves people who are ignorant and inexperienced bringing their home-trained attack dogs into stores. It already happens. It’s not safe for the public or for service dogs and yet this product crosses that line?
The product description literally says it’s designed for service dogs but can be used for all puppies and dogs. They are claiming this hazardously designed mobility harness with the SERVICE DOG label and “registration pockets” can/should be used for any dog or PUPPY?! There is so much wrong with this product but just to make it clear, dogs should not be doing mobility tasks unless they are old enough for their growth plates to be closed and their joints and physical health has been cleared by a vet. Why advertise this to puppies?!?!
CONCLUSION
Any well-intentioned ethical person would have done enough research to recognize this product is highly faulty, but that type of person isn’t their demographic.
They are marketing towards someone who would walk into Walmart, see this on a shelf and buy it for $24 so they can slap it on their dog (or puppy) and bring them into stores.
Maybe that person just wants to bring their pet with them.
Maybe they are legitimately disabled but are uneducated and think that alone qualifies their pet as a service dog.
Maybe they are actually in the process of owner-training their own service dog and are gullible and uneducated enough to believe the dangerous claims for this product.
In any case it’s not safe, it’s not ethical and it puts people, pets and service dogs in danger.
And just as a side note, how many legitimate service dogs do they expect are coming through Walmart and buying this harness? It takes 2-3 years on average to train a service dog and program trained dogs cost thousands of dollars. Do they really think each Walmart would have a whole end cap worth of service dogs in its vicinity?
SAVE A GIRLS SERVICE DOG
(The gif is just a placeholder until I figure out how the hecks to get the photo of makana's dog out of the gofundme, cause if you don't have photos it's not eye-catching and thats. Very counterintuitive.)
I know this is a little bit out of the ordinary for me, but this is serious. An online friend of mine, Makana, needs help paying for a lawyer to keep her service dog. She has severe mental health complications that would make it extremely difficult for her to function without Buddy, who she's had for over 5 years now. She's currently preparing for a nasty court case between her and her mother over the custody of Buddy. (See site for more details) Anything you give goes towards her lawyer. If you can donate any margin of money, whether that be 20 dollars or just mere cents, it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate, it's fine, that's okay, but PLEASE reblog for reach, or make your own post if you must. I don't care what you do, as long as it's something.
I think my house is being cased
I live in pretty much in the middle of nowhere surrounded by forest and private properties. A partial underground house (pretty much we live in a basement) with limited windows. We live in a self made gated community of me, my parents and siblings, and an uncle. No one can get onto the property without a key. However, last night we saw a flashlight shining through a bedroom window. According to my sister who had been staying in my mother's room due to nightmares, she saw a light shine at our mother until she noticed. As soon as she turned, the light disappeared. as if the person moved their hand. This is concerning considering our bedroom windows are knee height and you have to look for them at either a crouch or an angle. Just a night or two before, I could've sworn to have seen a flashlight but I assumed I hallucinated it due to sleep deprivation or paranoia (which I suffer from). I have near crippling paranoia and anxiety when going out in town (which is why I rarely do so), but now I fear to even sleep on my own property. I never worried about buglers because of how out of the way our houses are (that and the fear of shotgun wielding rednecks that populate the area), but what if it is more than that? I don't know what to do. Our dogs don't react to our fears, but they can easily be befriended if you seem nice enough (I would think at least one of our dogs would do something considering we have four, but I guess not). Any suggestions on what we can do? (we live outside of range of most-if not all-emergency help like police, ambulances, etc.)
You ever have something that you made an opinion on years ago and you never thought to reevaluate it? I have many, but the one I am talking about is Sherlock Holmes. I mean the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. It wasn't that I thought that it was bad, I just assumed it would fly over my head and be too clever and/or too serious. I had similar opinion on Shakespeare's works until I actually read some (Benvolio deserved better and Beatrice and Benedick are the best couple). I want to try Sherlock Holmes again (last time I tried it was when I was 10 and I'm in my 20s now)
I have read people complaining about the villain designs in My Adventures with Superman and getting mad that they are all now tech based or "too pretty" or whatever. I think they may be missing the point. This is their villain origin stories. Livewire is implied to be getting her powers and mutating into the blue haired electric fiend we love as well as Silver Banshee perhaps getting real powers of her own down the line. Slade hasn't fallen from grace as Black Ops to pull himself back up as an unstoppable mercenary yet (and I think the comparisons to Dick Grayson adds on even more complications to his weird rivalry with Nightwing). We aren't that far into the series, and we haven't seen very much of these characters yet, this is the beginning of Superman's era in this world.
I don't know what "True Crime" really is or what it is as a Podcast genre (I don't listen to podcasts). But I have always been into crime, horror, gore, mystery, etc. genre. Whether it be based on real events, speaking about real events, or fictional. I believe that this has probably taken my hereditary paranoia (my dad, my paternal grandparents, my maternal uncle, etc. all have rather extreme paranoia) and made it worse. I accidentally watched a video about how white females take safety in "True Crime" due to how it often revolves around white female victims. I have had this interest since I was 5 and watched NCIS autopsy scene without any of the adults noticing in the living room. Does "True Crime" really a part of my interests? I look it up but it only gives me basic info that really doesn't tell me much about cultural applications. What is it really about.

With Amy Rose not so slowly becoming the fourth member of Team Sonic/Team Hero, I was thinking about how Shade could become the fourth member of Team Dark.
Team Dark for all intents and purposes are opposites/rival possibilities of Team Sonic/Hero. Shadow vs Sonic in that they are both fast, cocky, a bit arrogant, quick thinkers, introverted, and heroic. But Sonic is more friendly, more open, informal, a bit more immature while Shadow is more aloof, more stoic, more formal, and more mature (at least on the outside).
Similar arguments can be said of Rouge vs Knuckles and I like to think that Omega can be a rival or mirror for Tails. But where does this put Amy vs Shade.
Amy is bubbly, emotional, temperamental, friendly, refuses to do bad things, and openly compassionate. Shade is quiet, robotic, cold, stoic, will do bad things for sake of good, and hides her compassion. As far as similarities can go, perhaps they are both leaders, passionate for justice, unquestionably loyal, and a bit bossy.
But aside from these comparisons, Shade is military and could probably find familiarity with G.U.N (I don't like Shadow being a G.U.N agent, but maybe a hired "consultant" for Team Dark missions). I think Shade and Shadow would be chill with each other, Omega could probably find her destructive capabilities admirable and worthy of his attention, I think Rouge and Shade could have an interesting friendly rivalry similar to Sonic and Knuckles (freedom vs duty). Shade even colour coordinates well with Team Dark!
I just really like Shade guys. I wish she could be in more things
I like Shade. She's my second favorite female Sonic character right behind Rouge.
But I am tired of when I read about people's ideas of Shade's place in the Sonic franchise, they almost always make her assist Knuckles in guarding the M.E.
It's one thing to play into her soldier-ish need for a purpose and dutiful nature. She's more strict, aloof, and stoic compared to Knuckles.
But it's always about shipping. It's one thing to ship Knuckles and Shade because you genuinely believe they would be good together and stuff. But it's the implications that it's because they are both echidnas that irritate me. It's like some people who ship Sonamy because they are both hedgehogs and forgetting they are complex characters.
The only thing I see that can even imply chemistry between Shade and Knuckles is that she admires his fighting abilities (she says the same of Sonic as well) and Rouge making a comment on Knuckles liking older women(which can be seen as her being teasing, jealous, trying to stir a fight, or merely making a joke on Shade's technical age). Shade herself has shown no real interest in anything other than exposition to move the plot along, being vaguely xenophobic, and being an aloof piece of cardboard. (how is she my second female character again?)
As much of a Batman fan I am, I feel that My Adventures with Superman should remain Batman/Bruce free for at least 2-3 seasons(if it is allowed to go for that long). Superman needs his time to shine without Batman coming in and taking over. I'd take Wonder Woman cameo appearance before Batman (she needs her own time too please).
But aside from that, I am curious how other League members would look in MAWS style. In particular our Martian friend J'onn J'onzz.
Out of all of Amy's outfits, I had always liked her Riders outfit the most. It's simple yet stylish and fits her active lifestyle of joining Sonic's adventures and looking cute doing it. This outfit followed closely by her Boom outfit.
How did I not know about this?!
I admit, the first superhero I had ever really gotten behind was Batman (how original), but it was for the detective film noir with action scenes and sarcastic commentary from literally everyone. I got into Batman the Animated Series, and through that, I wanted to watch other things similar.
I hadn't been a fan of Superman for long, it was honestly because everywhere I looked he didn't have much weaknesses or compelling character due to how people seemed to write him (or he was merely a side character). He was either a god or a bland god who got taken down by the most specific of circumstances or plot devices. However, I did like how he was written in some Justice League episodes I had watched as a child.
So I decided to try and get both the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and Superman the Animated series.
But I have never seen this series before or anywhere somehow. And I am really interested. I love the voice acting(from what clips I've seen), the art is fresh and dynamic, Clark has a real golden retriever type personality who cares about everyone and everything, I love Lois though it took me some time to get used to her new look a bit because she looks so much like Luz from Owl House (i don't mean that in a bad way), etc. Naturally I see people disliking the show merely on looks alone, but I am excited and really want to watch it! This is the first time I actually giggled, and I mean giggled, about a superhero. Let alone one I hadn't really cared to learn about. There's just something really likable about this Clark Kent and that is I think how his character is supposed to be. Diana and Bruce seem like they should be elegant but intimidating while Clark is supposed to be the friendly approachable one.
Now I just need to figure out how to watch this and how much it is...
What truly marks the difference between a Dutch Shepherd and a Belgian Malinois? I hear people who claim there are distinct personality/temperament differences and others who claim there is no differences whatsoever. I know Dutch Shepherds are generally brindle and have three coat types and Malinois normally have one coat type but many more colour options. Is there actually anything that sets them apart?
Hey Beauceron Owners
During my searching, Birdwing Beaucerons keep popping up. They seem to be among the top rated Beauceron breeders in America. What is your experience with them?
I was re-watching Matt Reeves's The Batman(2022) and I realized as Batman and Gordon step out onto the roof, that Gordon had never really met Catwoman before. Any knowledge he has of her is possibly seeing her during the Penguin's drug deal which was at nightm quickly became a shootout, and most likely was trying harder to stay alive than notice a woman running away with a bag of money (especially with Batman's souped up car revving). So his first meeting with Catwoman is her showing up with injured prey on their doorstep, quite like a cat, and yelling about her stuff stolen. That had to have been an interesting conversation later. Especially with what happens later at Gotham Square Garden.
Help
What sort of antiseptic is best for turtle mouth rot? Please answer quickly, we are trying to treat him as quickly as possible
HELP
My sister's box turtles just came out of hibernation, but her male box turtle apparently has mouth rot. We think it is because of the fact that he refuses to eat most foods that has the vitamins they need, but we aren't sure. He has white on his beak/cheeks and we are worried about how severe it might be
We are taking him to the vet soon, but we don't know what to do. Please any ideas!
Who else is disappointed by the Rhea Island/ending of Frontiers a bit. All of this buildup with Cyber Corruption and he just kinda. goes into a frozen state like an 06 load screen? Somehow his friends know how to save him without any clues? The robots respawned suddenly? No one talks about a young girl dying? Supreme boss fight was a let down as well. My brother played the whole game within 3 days and found that the Supreme just sort of. to put it bluntly. sucked.
I liked the voice acting and the lore building, the open world seemed a bit...too open? if that makes sense (i still believe playable hub worlds like Adventure1 should be back), but I found it fine. I had fun. But the ending sort of felt like they blew through their money and time before Sega enforced the deadline on them. It's hard to explain, as I have forgotten mostly everything past Knuckles' island and parts of Tails' (forgive me. I was having a very stressful week).
I hope that any DLCs that come out can give the game plenty of replayability and perhaps give us more characters to play as (I really want to play as Amy again, i loved her hammer vault)
It's done?! WHat?
I have always been an Adventure era fan, I'll admit. I never was big about modern Sonic games except for the Storybook (Black Knight my beloved), Unleashed, and recently Frontiers. But I had always wanted to play 06. However, I didn't have the system to. Not to mention I heard it was too buggy. So when I heard that this amazing person was remastering/remaking 06, I was elated. So I decided to wait until all three stories and the final story were done. And from the sounds of it, they are! I am excited to play this (and figure out if my terrible understanding of computers can help me figure out how to download it)
