a/n: this idea has been in my head for weeks and i needed to get it out !!! many thanks to @the-b-side and @onedramaticqueen for discussing this with me for way too long lmao

Gwil:

leads all the hikes for the camp

all the kids struggle to keep up with him though since he is literally 98% leg

gives philosophical and inspirational lectures on the hikes which are super cool & all unless it’s a 6 a.m. hike and all you want to do is be asleep

patrols every camp dance to make sure the 14s aren’t getting too handsy

is definitely the head counselor on the boys side

responsible™ dad friend

yells at ben when he sees him flirting with the other lifeguards rather than watching the water

tells amazing ghost stories

is somehow able to make the perfect s’more

his marshmallow roasting game is absolute fire

has been a referee for the camp olympics for three years now & is sick of rami and joe’s cabin dominating every summer

totally owns and wears a fanny pack

it’s bright blue and he always has snacks in it

Joe:

arts and crafts counselor

always has a lil bit of paint in his hair and on his face at the end of the day

all the kids love him because he lets them paint his face

all the little girls (and boys lbr) have giant crushes on him because he is so nice™

his arms are constantly covered in handmade bracelets because he keeps receiving them as gifts from the campers and he doesn’t have the heart to not put them all on

“Thank you, Sarah! But didn’t you give me one yesterday?”

“Yeah! But this one is blue!!”

“Oh, wonderful!” *reluctantly puts it on with the fourteen others*

is the biggest fan of tie dye day

his shirt is usually almost every color of the rainbow

is totally the counselor who goes so hard at the camp dance who’s tearing up the dance floor to the cha cha slide

bffs with rami for the longest time

totally has had a crush on the same girl for like, 10 years but has never done anything about it

he and rami run the best boys cabin out of the entire camp

his competitive side comes out hardcore during camp olympics. rami often times has to talk him down because he gets so into it

always gets really sunburned the first week of camp despite his activity being indoors

Rami:

archery counselor

has had a thing for lucy since they met when they first became counselors together

is bffs with joe and have been since they were smol and first started going to camp

he and joe are the ultimate co-counselors for their cabin

they *always* win camp olympics

has won a ton of archery competitions bc he’s seriously so good at it & has insane focus

comforts all the heartbroken campers at the dance who have been rejected by their crushes

is the go-to comfort™ counselor for any homesick campers too

gives such great and heartfelt advice

won the counselor talent show two years in a row doing a freestyle rap

joe always “drops him a beat”

won the talent show for the entire camp doing alphabet aerobics when he was 12

the camp directors are still floored by that performance

definitely has a ton of unironic graphic t-shirts that he pulls off so well that it’s honestly a little angering

Ben:

lifeguard

loves hitting on the other lifeguards he works with

absolutely despises tie dye day and attempts to get out of it every year

“If I don’t make a shirt, I don’t have to wear one”

“Ben, that’s not how it works”

eventually does go to the tie dying event but only uses the colors black and red and complains the entire way through it

he makes joe tie up his shirt for him so all he actually does is throw dye on it and call it a day

his shirt gets extremely cut up & becomes the ultimate muscle tee/headband combo

all the CITs have the BIGGEST crush on him and he loves basking in their attention

flirts with all the other counselors at the camp dance, absolutely does not do his job of filling the cups with hawaiian punch

plans the end-of-summer lakeside bonfire for the counselors every year

it’s the one thing he loves doing

would never admit how much he actually loves camp

Lucy:

the hip™ and cool™ theatre counselor

thinks the archery counselor is kinda cute

and she can totally watch him from the window of the building she teaches in

definitely is a counselor for younger girls (like the 7s and 8s)

is BOMB at braiding hair

she has a LINE of campers from her cabin waiting at the foot of her bed from the time she wakes up so she can do their hair

flannel queen… she has the most amazing assortment of flannels in her trunk that she wears almost every day

is also hella good at making lanyards and carries the string stuff in her backpack at all times so she can occupy her campers

always sends home cute update postcards to her cabin’s parents on cute ass stationary

is best friends with the counselor that joe has a crush on and has been trying to set them up for two summers now

however, they’re both so oblivious that neither of them can tell that the other is into them

has shorteralls and pulls them off so fucking well
