I know the digital circus is a show instead of a game but do you think malware/viruses can infect the show and corrupt the characters? like corrupting their files if they have any, memory, etc

Oh!! that's actually a really neat idea, maybe like a more or less dangerous abstraction. It wouldn't permanently turn them into glitchy beasts, but it could damage their memories or models and be more damaging around them depending on what malware they take in, it'd probably spread to other characters files too like how computer how viruses get around :v
