This Fucking Took Me Out
This fucking took me out
EVERYONE WHO HASN'T YET NEEDS TO GO READ "Where I'm Meant To Be" by WhiteRoseCottage. The premise is perfect and it's so funny and sweet. I love the idea that Merlin didn't spend a thousand years wallowing in grief and that, while Arthur is undoubtedly the love of his life, he had a full and interesting life without him, with friends, jobs, hobbies and even lovers (William Shakespeare and him was the crack ship I didn't know I needed). He's such a brave, loving and resilient person and it seems like a waste to have him go through eternity depressed. Just thinking about the entire century he spent waiting for Arthur near the lake makes me want to fight God.

It works with real people too in case anyone wants to try it
Bakuguo's stupid anger issues would be solved if someone he greatly respected looked him dead in the eyes and said to him with a blank face and a low voice: "Shut the fuck up, you obnoxious jerk". That would humble him and force him to get his shit together, but All Might is too much of a softie.
Ever wondered about Hawks' costume being so baggy and not showing any kind of skin? At first I assumed it to be solely bc of the aviator theme and protection of the icy cold and winds especially in high altitudes and given his speed. After writing some one shots as character study I started wondering if there might be more, that he tries to kinda conceal himself; like hiding himself even further/ as much as possible under his costume and thus hero persona. Overthinking? Probably. Any thoughts?
yeah, i feel this. it's vital that we rarely see hawks outside his uniform since he spends so much time working, and even then he's usually still covered up in canon (long sleeved jacket or even a high collar to conceal his mouth). boy's always on the job
i think the first time we see his costume without the jacket is against his will when dabi burns it off. aside from killing the "does hawks wear a halter top" movement (rip brave warriors of the cause), i think it's representative of hawks' walls being torn down physically alongside the emotional attack of hearing his birth name. his clothes are part of his image and his protection.
he also covers his face in the jacket a lot. he's a sneaky, deceptive guy who tells a lot of half-truths, so this look def reflects that!
Arthur, on a date with Gwen: I want to run away with Merlin
Wait a damn minute Merlin is an actual nightmare of a servant. Imagine you're the Prince and all of a sudden and only two seconds after surviving an assassination attempt you're stuck with this scrawny, clumsy fucking dude with a really shifty air about him who spends literal days in the tavern with zero notice, steals your food, tried to spy on a guest, doesn't let you hunt, can never fucking be found when you need him even though he is the literal manservant to the prince, which you would think should be a priority but apparently he has better things to do, and is always talking like he's the only thing standing between you and certain death???? Then he gives you attitude? Literally I would throw things at him too. Arthur is misunderstood he's actually being too nice
I hope this new year brings me a lot of "finally getting diagnosed" and "no longer feeling guilty for being alive". But I'll settle for a cool new hat and some fanfic
